The sticky pad it comes with is useless. I had to duct tape mine to the back of my laptop but even then it slips a little. Overall a good extra screen for work, although I wish I’d got one that clips on rather than sticks on.

Very simple to use plug and play. Gives you an additional screen on your laptop which can be so beneficial, using twin screens allows for multitasking with ease. Can’t believe how simple and effective this really is

Perfect for work. prompt delivery. The best product on the market.
Ideal for all ages. I have bought a second adhesive plate, so i can use it on my work or personal laptop.

I was very sceptical about buying this screen extension due to mixed reviews but I am very pleased I ignored the all the negative comments. I have a 17″inch laptop that I use on weekends for work. I sit on the sofa with feet up and use a cushioned laptop table and this new addition saves me having to keep opening and closing applications in my dwsktpbtray. A total lifesaver, thank you

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.
Pretty good overall but with certain drawbacks: you laptop lid/cover needs to be entirely flat for this to fit, if the lid has any curvature at all then the adhesive panel wont work.
Although the adhesive did stick to mine well enough I do have some concern over it’s durability, whether the thing will come loose over time.
Good display, at least for work purposes: I note that there are criticisms from other reviewers, possibly if you require extreme detail as in photo editing or such then it may not be satisfactory but for basic Word/Excel display it’s fine.
Cables, a template and instructions are all included.
I think this is best as in a static situation, where the laptop is basically used as a workstation, once fitted it makes a laptop quite bulky: I wouldn’t want to be carrying it to work every day, but that’s a personal view.
I would like to have seen the screen have it’s own independent stand, so it could be used/connected as and when you wished, or positioned for a second viewer where you wanted it, rather than be permanently attached to the host laptop, that would have been an ideal situation.
Priced at 179 I think it offers decent overall value.

This is amazing solution to expand workstation in situation where you cannot have simply 2 monitors and desktop but still keep productivity. It utilises miniHDMI to full HDMI or if laptop support usb-C it can be connected directly this way which powers up and send video signal simultaneously. It is best way to wire up this monitor, least hassle. It is 14″ monitor which I think is ideal, more inches and it would be too heavy. Video output resolution is full HD which is good enough for work, very sharp quality, pixel density not too good however, getting closer will reveal many pixels. Since it is 180 screen it can be accepted. It does stick on back of your laptop and can be swivel in any direction, you can use it as extension and 2nd screen for work, you can mirror it and flip it on the back, great solution for working with customer and showing him your screen when sat on the other side. It also can be used vertically for chat, coding. Bracket is very strong and sits tight. It brings issue where paint from metal start chipping off but I rather have monitor which is not wobbly than neat looking bracket which also is removable. Thanks to its usb-C functionality you can connect directly phone and screen it on bigger display, seems like an idea for presentation where all you got is your phone. At this price it is quite good monitor.

Good value as is good quality screen but it was v complicated to set up and I needs to be stuck to your laptop shell when setting up meaning I couldn’t use it properly as I have a work laptop.

I was looking for a second monitor as I frequently need two screens and splitting the computer screen means that the two side-by-side screens on my computer are too small, so having this is a great idea. The monitor comes in a nice box and you should watch the videos before you stick the plate to your computer, there is a template provided but unfortunately, my computer is not very big so the template was meaningless, they should have provided at least two or three more for different sizes of the computer.

I improvised, basically, I lined up the plate, you need to take this plate off the monitor clip, it is hard to do but give it a good pull and it will come free, I then stuck it on ensuring that the two magnets also could be fitted to the other end of the monitor to hold it in place, you are supplied with two black and two silvers magnets for this purpose.

Once connected you simply plug in the relevant cable, my computer is a bit old and does not have a C port, but the HDMI supplied was fine, you also need to connect the USB for the monitor power. I did this and also on my computer I needed to extend the screen, I did this by pressing the window key and P key and you get a screen on your computer which enables you to duplicate and extend your screen, once done, you simply drag the times you want using your mouse onto the monitor, this has worked brilliantly, my only disappointed is that there seems to be a light spot on the monitor screen, I have not damaged the monitor or dropped it just appeared on the screen and whilst it is not a big deal, it is still an issue.

The monitor otherwise is good, you can turn it on and off and also adjust the brightness, for me this is a really great technical step, I was a bit afraid of having a second monitor, but I was wrong, it is a necessity if you need to display documents or look at another screen, this one is good as it fits onto the back of the computer, the plate is firmly attached, but you can remove it, there is a tool supplied for doing this, though, I will not be removing this in the near future, but only if I treat myself to a new computer, in which case I will connect this monitor to the new one. The price is about right for what you are getting, had it not been for the strange white light on my monitor I would have given this five stars, but I am going to give it four stars.

Works well and is pretty easy to set up. I tried it with both phone and computer and both of them works I would say the quality of the screen is not the best but I don’t think it needs to be. This is for productivity and not gaming/watching media.

This comes in a nice box, well packed, and has a good amount of instructions. Normally the instructions for products are dreadful but I have to applaud them here because they obviously made an effort. Everything is easy to follow.

The build quality is pretty good, I am confident its going to be working and won’t bed or snap. The design looks quite nice as well So all in all a very good product if you are looking for something like this you should definitely consider this one.

    Naievear Portable Monitor,14.1inch

Here is a handy second monitor screen that can be attached to a laptop or similar to give you a further display area. The monitor is capable of displaying a 1920 x 1080 HD image in full colour. In the box you receive the monitor, along with a selection of cables, a template plus instruction on usage. It’s worth noting that there are no speakers built into the monitor.

The monitor appears to be of decent quality, it has a hard plastic body with a non reflective screen. The screen has two different ports for connection, those are USB Type-C along with Mini HDMI, if you do not have USB Type-C available then you will need to connect video through the HDMI cable. There are just 2 control buttons available, one which is for power on and off, the other two buttons are for brightness up or down.

The monitor essentially bonds to the back of you laptop using the attached 3M sticky pad, you will need to use the included template for correct alignment. The monitor does need to be attached as there is no stand available for it to be free standing, which is a shame as not everybody wants to risk marking their expensive laptop by glueing a sticky pad on it.

Overall this works well enough and provides a decent quality picture. The monitor can be removed by sliding it from the attached bracket, but it does leave an ugly bracket on the top of your laptop.

Works great, but cable is a bit flimsy and not a possitive connection, screen was going on and off.

But a 0.5m USB C 3.1 cable sorted the issues (costs another 9.99) – get one with right angles both ends.

    New cable sorted any issues.

It comes with step by step instructions and a piece of paper with cutout guides that you lay on top of your laptop to help you align everything correctly – unfortunately my laptop is smaller than the guide provided, so I just had to do my best.

The adhesive sticker didn’t stick to my laptop. Luckily, I had bought some sumo tape, and that is holding for now, but I have stronger sumo tape on the way.

When I hooked it up I realised it’s on the wrong side, as you can see from the picture, the display is upside down. The advertisement suggested it goes on the right side, therefore I attached it to the right side. So I had to take it all off and attach it to the left side. Once I started using it, I tried moving my mouse across and it wouldn’t go… Eventually I realised you have to move your mouse across to the right of your laptop screen and then it enters on the left side of the extender screen (video to show what I mean). I think it’s been hinged on the wrong side, I could be wrong, maybe there is something in the settings I need to change?

Overall, it does work, and I will continue using it, it’s just a little annoying having to move documents in the wrong direction to put them on the second screen. The picture quality isn’t amazing, but it’s good enough. Installation is a little on the tedious side, but easy to connect. Once I get a stronger adhesive to ensure it doesn’t budge, it will be fine for what I need it for.

**UPDATE** I have worked out the settings and I can move my mouse in the correct direction now – I’ve updated the video with how I did it in case anyone is a first time user like myself.

    Good for the price

The portable monitor is good. But you should be aware that your laptop lid should be flat. I have a Dell laptop and lid is slightly curved and of this monitor will touch the hinger and possibly scratch your screen.
