I do enjoy adding this to my tripods. Easy to setup and fast to charge over between cameras. I have a number of heads, but this is well constructed. Only wish that the handle was a bit larger.
Very good for the price, all parts are well made & finished well, Just wish id got the next size up as a bit small for a spotting scope
This head has really smooth motion. I’ve been using it to shoot hockey games, and it has made my casts much smoother while following the play. The pan and tilt locks work wonderfully. I have it installed on my manfrotto element tripod. I mostly use it with a cell phone holder, but it will hold my D7500/24-70 lens in place.
I used this to mount a small camcorder at a church to broadcast the service via Zoom. The head looks great and has a nice smooth action.
Bought on my Neewer travel tripod that came with a ballhead. This was not able to pan and support my heavier 400mm telelens. Bought this one, and does an excellent job for a fraction of the price others are asking. Using it for astro and birdphotography
Very easy to mount, i was afraid about my tripod was not the same size, but the screw was removable and the size i need it after it was removed.
I admit I was a little skeptical of this diminutive swivel head, but it offered the functions I needed at a price that wasn’t going to damage the bank account. Now I must admit I’m pleasantly surprised. Even supporting a mirrorless camera body, this thing looks small, especially compared to video heads I’m used to. But the action is smooth as “buttuh,” whether panning or tilting. The control knobs allow for precise adjustment, and plenty of torque when needed. This is a great product to use with my Fuji X-T30 and the 18-55mm or 10-24mm. I’ve found it struggling to hold a longer (70-300mm) lens in position without sagging, but for most video use its excellent.
Avevo visto altre recensioni positive e l’ho preso .. impressioni confermate .
I bought the Neewer mini fluid head to replace the plastic head that comes with the Neewer 70inch tripod. The plastic head is okay for basic use, but I wanted smooth movement for video making with a GoPro 11. The Neewer mini fluid head is brilliant. Perfect size for the GoPro. Both tilt and pan movements are beautifully smooth. The fluid head is well built and sturdy. Feels premium. Looks amazing.
It’s hard to imagine finding anything close TK this for value. It would cost $150 more MINIMUM to get something as good as this product that is lighter – and then it would only save about 5-6 ounces. Very happy with this purchase for hunting seaso
It definitely does the job with my smart phone, but the horizontal panning is a bit too loose. Their isn’t enough resistance so it is hard to keep steady in a slow pan. The vertical movement has great resistance making for a clean pan. Got for $34. Worth the money at that price. Would be agai
Purpose: used with full sized iPad to record high school sports.
Pros:
Lightweight, but very sturdy not worried about an iPad on this at all.
Smooth Operation, absolutely NO shake or jerky movements at all when following the action.
Simple, very simple to use and set up.
Cons:
It didn’t come with a bag like most other heads I’ve purchased, but at this price that might be asking a bit much.
Definitely recommend for similar use.
I bought this head as a cheap alternative to a Manfrotto one. Well I’m glad I did. It’s well made and the action is really smooth. Great addition to my kit.
smooth and small. Used with a spotting scope. Well made. Quick release plate is good quality and locking screws are good quality. I hope it lasts, which it should.
Compact, well made fluid head for a smaller DSLR or mirrowless camera definitely better than a ball head, fluid action up & down only. Good buy.
I am a serious birder, and was looking for a very light weight “travel” micro fluid head to go on my (equally light weight) Gitzo GT1545 tripod, to pair with a Nikon 65mm scope. I use the tripod with my camera sometimes (with a Gitzo head), and did not want to take two tripods on the plane, as I have done in the past. We use a very heavy Manfrotto tripod with the older version of the 128RC from home, but this set-up is very heavy. I also wanted an Arca-Swiss contact on top. Can not stand the 200PL plate used on the Manfrotto, as it always comes loose from the scope and is a pain. I have a nice Really Right Stuff plate for the camera, and could swap that out and put it on the fluid head.
Did a lot of research and bought the Neewer Fluid head as a first try, more than ready to send back if it did not work. I have not fully tested it in the field, but my initial impressions are very good. It is well built, solid, yet incredibly light weight. Panning and tilting are great, with an easy ability to set the right about of tension. The scope is well balanced. Did not use the plate that came with the head, as it does not have the critical anti-twist bevel of the RRS version. The only draw back is the handle is short, and not bent, so it is really under the head of the scope, but it seems to handle well and I will be able to get use to the placement.
Also, I had it in my shopping cart for a couple days, and eventually a $12.50 coupon showed up. That was enough to at least give it a try…
Small compact perfect for my landscape adventures. It is versatile since it can flip 90 degrees, which is ideal for that product photography. It comes with everything you need to get started and a screw adapter for those 3/8″ gadgets. I have no issues with it, and I have to admit it has helped my photography quite a lot. Neewer has always been a good brand for photographers for price and quality. I highly recommend it.
I needed a small tripod fluid head for my Sony camcorder in a confined overhead space for recording Bible school classes and teaching lectures. Perfect! The quality is superb and easy to use. Thanks for a great product.
A great little fluid head not without its faults. The compact nature is neat and fits nicely on smaller or thinner tripods but on ones with bulkier bases does look a little odd. The construction is solid, mostly aluminum, and the all the knobs can be repositioned which is great especially on something more compact.
The fluid head is Arca compatible and the clamp itself has a good range for great compatibility with slightly off-sized Arca “style” plates. The included plate itself is the correct size though! awesome, as it means better compatibility with other Arca compatible tripods including even the Peak Design ones.
The fluid head has an integrated Allen key held with a magnet and it doesn’t rattle during use. The lever’s position is re-adjustable for right or left hand use by removing two bolts. The handle’s angle and length are not adjustable though; while this design does keep it compact I think a geared clamp could be just about as compact while allowing angle adjustments.
Now while the vertical movements in the fluid head are great and smooth, the panorama/horizontal pan are not fluid so they’re not very smooth. In fact it jerks quite a bit. So while vertical pans are smooth, horizontal and diagonal ones aren’t very. It should also be noted that the vertical motion doesn’t fully lock; it gets to a very high resistance but no fully locked position; the horizontal motion does lock fully. This is somewhat common in fluid heads that don’t cost too much though.
Overall it is still a solidly built, solid feeling fluid head. For a smaller system or something a bit more portable you even even just mount onto another tripod head via a Arca Swiss plate, this is a nice option. I use it for a tabletop video rig but I could easily transfer it onto a larger tripod.
If you want to reduce the bulk of your travel gear, you’ll want to try this!
Haven’t used much yet, but so far very sturdy, good material make-up. Should be very durable!
This tripod head is very good. Only complaint I have it was a bit smaller than I expected, but that was my mistake since it was even called small rig.
1 Manuale d’uso in Inglese e Cinese
For 40 bucks, this totally works.
The all-metal construction is reassuring and it seems to handle the weight of my A73 with a prime lens just fine. On my desk, it gives me the adjustability I want without the added bulk of a higher-end ball head. Really, this thing is tiny!
Could the panning be better? Yes. If you need that, you’ll probably need to spend a few more bucks. But in the grand scheme of things, this is more than adequate for everything I need it for. Remember, it’s only 40 bucks!
This is an interesting product from Neewer, because it has so many small features that add up to a substantial upgrade to most basic tripods.
Out of the box, you can feel the quality of this product. It’s perfectly machined and is 99% metal.
A few notable features include:
– The quick release plate. I tend to use this a lot, since my style of photography can be pretty fluid and time lost trying to unscrew and screw back my camera is something I don’t want.
– The built-in leveler. While some tripods do include this feature, and most digital cameras also include some form of level indicator, it’s still nice to have the bubble level on this tripod mount. My only complaint is that – it’s under the quick release plate, so you can’t really use it when the camera has been mounted.
– 360 rotating base with a degrees indicator has been wonderful for panorama shots.
– The handle on this mount can be swapped to accommodate both left and right-handed users. It does require you to unscrew a few bolts, but you do get a hex key in the box, and it only takes a minute.
If I had to make one complaint, it would be that my preference is to have the tilt tensioner built into the handle, and not a tensioner knob. This would allow for one-handed adjustment.
That said, my overall impressions are quite favourable, and I can easily recommend this product.
PROS
I have an expensive travel tripod which came with a nice quality ball head which is great for photos, but not as great for videos. I ordered this fluid head from Neewer which is much better for videos. The QR plate is compatible with my existing Arca Swiss mounts so everything is easily interchangeable. The QR plate has a D ring on the 1/4 in screw so I can use it with my Peek Design straps. Both the tilt lock and pan works decently and the overall quality of the fluid head is decent for the price. The included bubble level is not very accurate but better than nothing. Since this head is rated at 6 Kgs, it should be suitable for most DSLRs with commons lens but I wouldn’t thrust it when using a 600mm or greater lens on this head.
Pros:
– Superb build quality, effectively all metal build while still staying relatively light weight
– Pan and tilt functionality are both super smooth. Offers a good enough resistance so that it doesn’t feel like things are loose, while still not being so tight that you can’t adjust it with ease when you need to
– Can easily be added to any tripod as this uses a standard tripod screw
– Love the long handle on this with the comfortable, ergonomic grip. Makes it very easy pan and tilt
– Love the integrated hex key in this head, comes in very handy
– Excellent value for money
Cons:
– None really
Overall:
I’ve been really happy with this mini tripod head from Neewer. It’s well made, light weight and offers a good range of adjustability. Considering the price this is an excellent buy. 100% would recommend!
I am using a large array of devices from NEEWER, and I am happy with their quality/usability.
So, it is no surprise to find another excellent one – the Fluid Head GM24: a compact, lightweight, and smart Mini Tripod Head designed to provide wide compatibility with a large array of devices (I use it for all my devices, including projector/outside events/360 panoramic filmings, and so much more). I love it, and here is a summary of my findings:
– solid and durable design, all parts are of high-quality materials, but lightweight and highly adjustable;
– smooth rotation control – 360 – excellent for panoramic images of professional grade; large tilting domain (145 degrees) while everything remains stable, with gravity center adjustment – smart!
– smart system for fixing the devices on the rubber-coated plate; it can be quickly installed/released;
– ergonomic handle installed according to own preference (right or left-handed);
– eye bubble level horizontal adjustment;
– compact and sturdy, stable, and easy to adjust.
All in all, I am recommending this excellent product!
This tripod pan-tilt head came along at a perfect time. My very expensive head from another well-known high-end vendors had just broken (not the head’s fault; the tripod took a bad fall down a cliff while photographing the view). So I looked around for another head. I could replace the one I had for several hundred dollars more than this Neewer head, but since I have a ton of Neewer lights and accessories and never had an issue, and I wanted something lighter than the old head, I gave this pan-tilt head a shot (no pun intended).
The head attaches to standard tripod mounts, and is surprisingly light considering it can handle over 6kg. Since I needed it for my Nikon Z7 and a 400mm zoom, it worked fine. The handle is easy to work with, and locks securely with a big lens mounted. The pan-tilt grip is textured and easy to work with. I have used this Neewer head for only a few days, as I write this, but I have had no issues with it and think that at the price it’s listed for, this is a solid bargain for photographers and videographers. Nice!
