Bon produit , j’aime
I love how simple this kit is to get installed and setup. The picture quality is nice, and you don’t lose the ability to use features like zoom. Plus having the wide angle lens be quick connect makes switching back and forth between regular and wide angle shots a breeze.
It’s well made, sturdy, and the picture looks very clear! A good purchase!
The wide angle lens is a great addition to my camera, as it allows me to capture wider shots that I wouldn’t be able to with my normal lens. The 10x Macro Additional Lens allows me to take close up shots of small objects, and the Extension Tube makes this possible without having to sacrifice image quality. The Bayonet Mount Lens Adapter ensures a secure fit, and the included Cleaning Cloth is a nice bonus. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality wide angle lens for their Sony ZV1 camera.
This lens kit for the ZV1 works very well! First off, it feels very nicely made and nothing feels or looks cheap about it. It does come with everything you need for use and it’s very easy to attach to the camera, even if you don’t have the professional knowledge that most photographers do. There is a little weight to the setup, but nothing too crazy. I have attached a few photo samples to this review taken with these lenses. The photo of the 3 plants was taken with the wide angle lens and you can see another photo of how close I was to the plants when the photo was taken. The wide angle lens does a nice job and doesn’t provide any distortion in the shot. The photo of the grass plant close up was taken with the macro lens. Again, very nicely done and it actually allows me to get closer than the macro mode built into the camera. All things considered, this is a really nice lens set and I really enjoy using it with my ZV1 Camera.
he instructions are a little confusing but works great. The mount works as a traditional lens mount. Really nice
I’m so glad I got this Neewer Wide Angle Lens to review for my Sony ZV1 Camera! This lens is a great addition to my camera kit, providing me with both 18mm wide-angle and 10x macro capabilities. The lens comes with an extension tube and a bayonet mount lens adapter, making it easy to attach and remove. The wide-angle shot produces super sharp images with vivid colors and excellent contrast, and the macro lens is perfect for capturing every detail. It’s definitely worth the investment and I’m very satisfied. Highly recommended!
I recently purchased this Neewer Wide Angle Lens compatible with my Sony ZV1 camera and I have to say, I’m really happy with my purchase! The 2 in 1 18mm HD Wide Angle & 10x Macro Additional Lens with Extension Tube is a fantastic addition to my camera setup. The wide angle lens allows me to capture more of the scene in my shots, which is great for landscapes and architecture. The macro lens is also a nice touch, as it allows me to capture close-up shots with incredible detail.
The lens comes with a bayonet mount lens adapter, which makes it easy to attach to my camera. The adapter is well-made and fits securely, so I don’t have to worry about the lens coming loose during use. The lens itself is well-constructed and feels sturdy in my hand. The black frame looks stylish and adds a professional touch to my setup. The lens also comes with a cleaning cloth, which is a nice touch and helps me keep my gear in top shape.
Overall, I’m really pleased with my purchase of the Wide Angle Lens for my Sony ZV1 camera. It’s a high-quality product that delivers great results and adds a lot of versatility to my camera setup. I’d happily recommend it to others. 5 stars!
Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂
With this conversion kit, you will be able to take even better photos.
Neewer really keeps its quality standards high and with this 2-in-1 18mm HD wide angle and 10x macro additional lens kit it has proven the same.
The conversion can happen in minutes, simply attach bayonet mount, tighten it down, attach extension tube and attach the lens. Simple as it sounds.
The lens itself works perfectly and as expected, image quality stays high and you won’t have any issues whatsoever.
The kit is compatible only with Sony ZV1 camera, therefore be sure you check if you have the right camera for the kit.
It’s a nice addition to built my collection of lenses to be able to take all sort of pictures like a pro. The wide angle lens is widely used for real estate pictures with some outstanding results. This lens is well made, comes with all you need to use it out of the box. Love the quality of the photos I’ve taken so far.
This is perfectly compatible with my Sony ZV-1. Installation only took a few minutes. While everything was attached the camera weight does feel noticeably heavier, not unbearable by any means but noticeable. The lenses work for their intended purpose and gives me the ability to take close up shots and wider shots as well. The 18mm lens is perfect for landscape shots, but there is a bit of a fish eye effect going on. The macro lens was able to get very detailed close ups. Both lenses provided quality images with a bit of distortion at the edges of the shots. I’m a hobbyist, so I can’t really comment if this would be suitable for a professional. Happy with my results so fa
This review is for the Neewer Wide Angle Lens Compatible with Sony ZV1 Camera, 2 in 1 18mm HD Wide Angle & 10x Macro Additional.
A great brand, this is a nice good quality lens which provide a good wide angel. Would recommend. No issues so far, works as expected.
Overall, I have to caution you to keep in mind the price point of this lens and what it’s designed to do, before becoming too critical of something like this from an optical standpoint. I own many cameras, over 20 to be exact, and am a bit addicted to cameras and camera gear. If I wanted to, I can certainly be very critical of just about any camera gear from the best available on the market, to the cheap stuff that you can buy. I was always interested in a wide angle adapter for my Sony ZV1, because as anyone who owns one knows, the field of view is a little bit narrow at a 24mm equivalent. 18mm is a nice field of view, especially for vlogging, and wide angle landscape photography. Certainly, you can get away with the 24mm for landscape photography, it just means you’ll have to find a better spot to stand, but I digress. I was particularly interested in this focal length extender because of its design. To this point, I had only seen those that get attached to the front of the lens via a two sided sticky tape, which I think is a very poor design. I have taken apart many cameras, and fixed many cameras as well as lenses, and I can assure you, that the internal components of these cameras consist of very delicate gears and circuitry. The idea of adding more weight or stress to those small parts, is completely asinine. For this reason, I liked the idea of this focal extender attaching to the bayonet that surrounds the lens, and encasing the entirety of the lens. This will alleviate any stresses on moving parts, and give you the desired result of what you are trying to achieve. Simply put, it’s a much more clever and well thought out design. So I like the design aspect of it, but how does it operate? I have a few pictures that I took to show the before and after, for the focal length extender, as well as the macro capabilities. I should mention, I did take the macro shot in pretty low light, so the lack of sharpness was due to my hand and camera shake, and not the lens. That brings me to my first positive, which is that the lens is actually quite sharp. I personally did not notice any softening of the image, which is a common occurrents with these types of inexpensive add-ons. It seemed to maintain a very decent amount of corner to corner sharpness, as well as managing to stay away from vignetting. I found that to be rather impressive, and speaks to the decent build quality of the optics. The macro lens as well, is quite impressive. It certainly allows you to get right in on your subject matter, and with a steadier hand of course, and better lighting, achieve some pretty impressive results. The image does have a very shallow depth of field, and only the center of the image will be in focus. Macro photography and videography is quite niche, so I doubt I’ll be using it very often, especially with it competing with dedicated macro lenses that I own, but it’s nice to have if the need arises. The lens itself is quite bulky, and heavy. From that perspective, I would be sure to constantly check the tightening screw that holds it to the bayonet of the camera, to ensure that it doesn’t come loose, and possibly fall off. Another complaint that I have, is that I did notice a fair bit of chromatic aberration, especially in macro, which speaks to the coatings, or lack thereof on the elements themselves. That being said, I did notice a decent amount of flare control, and that was quite good. Of course with extending your focal range via a couple of optical elements in front of your already calibrated lens, you will face significant barrel distortion. For video and photos, that is something that can be corrected in post, albeit a bit of a hassle, and extra work. All in all, from what I’ve seen, I think this design and lens, is probably the best on the market to date. I had mentioned before, the idea of sticking a lens, probably a heavy element as well, to the front of an extending fixed lens on a point-and-shoot camera, is a stupid idea. It’s not a massive investment when you think about it, as lenses can be extremely expensive, and in many ways you exceed what you pay for. I personally am reasonably happy with it, and can see myself using it on occasion, and not so much as something that’ll remain permanently fixed to my camera.

I’m not a huge camera snob but I do have a Sony ZV-1 for blogging and this added a bit to the frame. I don’t always use it but I have it for when I need it. I haven’t really noticed any major dropoff quality and it attaches fine to the camera. Seems sturdy. I don’t really have anything to compare it to though.
Advertised as: NEEWER Wide Angle Lens for Sony ZV1 Camera, 18mm HD Wide Angle & 10x Macro Lens, Bayonet Mount Lens Adapter
First impression: Interesting add-on lens and I hope it won’t scratch my camera
Function: My Sony ZV-1 is a great camera so I was happy to find an add-on accessory lens, especially with a Macro function. The lens on the Sony can’t be removed so I wondered how well this lens would fit over the camera’s own lens. The diameter of the Neewer lens is slightly larger than the Sony lens and it slides over and is fixed in place using a rubber-lined ring clamp. The lens is composed of four parts: a quick release base, an extension tube, a macro lens and a wide-angle lens. All parts must be assembled together in order to use the wide-angle lens; to use the macro lens, you must remove only the outer wide-angle lens.
Function: Similar type macro/wide angle systems have been used with 35mm cameras for many years and they all have inherent design limitations. The Neewer lens is no exception. Anytime additional layers of glass and an extension tube is added, there will be a reduction in light, leading to slower shutter speeds and wider apertures. You will probably lose approximately two f-stops in light but I can’t confirm this number yet. Secondly, the lens does achieve an 18 mm perspective but it causes the image to be distorted producing a fish eye effect. Thirdly, when using the macro lens, you will find the center of the image will be in focus but the periphery will be blurry. Focus area can be improved somewhat using higher apertures with slower shutter speeds.
Final thoughts: In spite of the limitations, I’m happy to have this lens. I understand it’s limitations and you can use them to your advantage. When taking macro shots, don’t expect the results to be sharp from end to end. Likewise, the wide, fish-eye effect can be an asset and if not, then use post-production software to correct distortion. The lens will add significant weight to the camera and due to the hassle removing it, you’ll likely be leaving the lens base clamped to the body of the camera.
There is a bag included in the kit which is too small to carry the lens. Also, if you leave the lens base on your camera, there’s no cap available for the bottom of the lens. Bottom line is, find your own bag to store the lens in.
Photos show with/without Neewer wide angle lens, Close up using macro lens
First thing to say I the quality of the lens are excellent, beautifully engineered and they fit the Sony superbly.
Easy to install, comes with all the bits you’ll need.
I thought the shots that I got were good, I expected more, the wide angle gave a marginal improvement but you really do want more, however with a lots of different shots I have become more appreciative of the results.
When using as a macro wide lens with all attached its adding a lot of weight and I struggled to hold the camera steady, would need to be tripod mounted.
I’ve used a number of times and do enjoy using them, the results are mixed, I was expected instant changes to the shots, but out in the field you’ll find it works well in different situations
Love the build, heavy when using all together, but overall I like what you get.
Having to use the macro simultaneously with the wide angle does add some bulk, however, I think this is absolutely worth the pay off! The macro offers HD shots that really are beautiful with excellent clarity, and the wide angle allows for selfie and landscape shots, and just makes life much easier! It comes with an extension tube and is easy to install. The lens is well made and super reasonably priced. Especially given the current 20% voucher offer! I think it’s a joy, and am happy to recommend!
I’ve been really happy with this wide angle adapter from NEEWER. They consistently make high quality products for photography that are well priced as well and this has been no exception. My wife loves her Sony ZV1 but finds the FOV a bit tight for vlogging. This wide angle adapter has been perfect for her. This pushes your FOV out to an 18mm focal length which offers enough additional real estate for vlogging with your ZV1 or for wider landscapes if that’s what you’re looking for.
Build quality is solid, with a mix of high quality plastics and metal. This attaches to your ZV1 with a friction ring that tightness with the included Allen key. It’s easy to slip on in a controlled environment, but may be a bit cumbersome when you’re out and about. Once on, the image quality looks quite good. The sharpness does fall off at the far edges, but this is expected for an attachment like this. Image quality as a whole still looks quite good, and this is very serviceable for an inexpensive attachment like this.
Overall for the money this is a great addition to anyone with a Sony ZV1 looking to get a bit of a wider angle FOV in their shots.
This lens is very good. The quality is brilliant, and the cost is low. It is definitely a good buy to have as a replacement lens or a backup.
I believe as well as wide angle this can also be used for macro too with the extension tubes, for my landscapes I would say it is well worth it, not too hard to fit, and every extra mm counts when you want to go wide so well worth it in my opinion, image quality is good especially for the price amazing really, all in al, very happy with it.
Firstly the build quality of this kit is amazing, it is precision built, durable and feels robust. That does come with a slight downside, the weight, it is quite an addition to the overall weight of the camera.
Great shots can be achieved and fitting is straight forward, I didn’t get quite as much zoom as I was expecting however it is still worthwhile for those required shots.
“Long Story Short”
Solid frame, metal shell
Lightweight but durable
Easy to instal
Perfect fit
Fantastic wide angle lens, it will add extra flavour to your photos.
Great quality for reasonable price
Value for money 10 out of 10
Very good quality lens. Fitting it onto the camera is straightforward enough. You have an Allen key that let’s you tighten the mount onto the camera first. Then you just twist the lens on and it clicks into place. It’s great for getting close ups of small objects and it really enhances your images. Fantastic.
The Neewer wideangle/close-up (macro) kit consists of:
Bayonet mount — fits onto the camera body by tightening the hex screw (hex spanner supplied)
Extension tube for close-up work — fits onto the bayonet mount
Wideangle/macro lenses — use together for wideangle shots or separate for close-up use with macro lens only
Used as a straightforward wideangle lens the attachment will convert the ZV1 24mm lens into a superwide 18mm lens which I find great for sweeping landscape shots. At this angle of view it will need to be used with a bit of care to avoid having a wide vista of virtually nothing but distant scenery — but landscape photographers will be fully aware. Foreground detail is the key to avoid this pitfall. Quality and sharpness from middle to edge is excellent, and distortion and edge fringing not apparent at any aperture. It perhaps won’t beat the Sony prime 18mm F2.8 in terms of image quality and maximum aperture, but the Neewer attachment is a fraction of the cost of the Sony.
Similarly, the macro lens when used with the extension tube, gives good image quality and is quick and easy to fit.
Build quality of the mount, extension tube and lens is excellent with tight fitting metal mounting faces which lock and unlock smoothly. It’s a relatively low-cost useful item for the kit bag, available in black or white to match the ZV1 body colour.
I like this 18 mm wide-angle lens; they are great since I can attach them to my ZV1 without 3m glue. I used to have another attachment that had a wide angle macro 52 mm wide lens glued on. I was afraid that the lens’s extra weight might damage the camera’s longevity. This model does not have that problem since it is installed on a solid part of the camera instead of a moving part. However, I have a camera rig cage to which I attach an external light, microphone, and battery. It can be installed on the ZV1 camera in the same way that this lens does. So I have to choose to use this lens or keep my camera rig cage which is not convenient.
I received a Sony ZV1 as a gift after I mentioned to someone that I really wanted something that took videos that was better than an iphone but not like a professional film maker, and relatively compact. This camera is meant for vloggers. I do not vlogg. I want to take videos of others.
The camera is powerful and has excellent AF for video but I am a photographer at heart and the image stabilization is infuriating inferior, the battery life is dismal, and sometimes it feels like you’re holding a ball of fire. Having said that this is not about the camera but the lens and the lens did make a significant difference.
I really wanting to make this camera more versatile (because it is so portable). I was really excited to get the lens and attempt to become more comfortable with shooting a video so that it eventually becomes second nature like my Nikons. Apparently I really don’t like a built-in lens. I need something to adjust or at least hold on to. This is not a telephoto lens, it is a wide angle lens.
It’s well-built. It’s made of aluminum? It gives the Sony some weight which, ironically, I do like because it stabilizes me. (I don’t mind heavy, I wanted to avoid bulky). Simple to attach but makes me nervous. Image quality is very mediocre, in relation to my Nikons, which became quite the problem in my head. Adds a little bit of distortion which is enough to make me walk off a ledge– but I suppose to a vlogger (of which I am not) it shouldn’t make a difference. Only because filming is not static and the things I notice may make zero difference or all the difference in the production value. I don’t know.
You can add a filter which adds a little bit of creative options to it but nothing you can’t do in post production.
Overall the lens improves the camera but not enough for me to have it as a go to video camera. Not yet anyways. Apparently the new version of the Sony ZV1 fixes a lot of my complaints as a photographer but I’m not willing to go down that road right now. I’m used to being able to produce quality stills with the proper setting adjustments and post editing and I know, with my Nikon, immediately what the final output will be, right then and there.
The camera was not made for a point and shoot and I have to come to terms with this. As I play around more with it, happier now with the added lens because it feels like more of a ‘real camera’, it dawns on me that I’m just coming from a very ‘set in my ways’ place and my expectations are completely different.
While I still don’t think this is a great camera for photographers, I’m going to keep at it. Maybe I’ll get used to using it just for video and maybe I need to try and approach it from a different angle with less comparisons.
So as it stands, would not recommend it as a point and shoot even after the lens but the lens provides the ZV1 a significant upgrade as a vlogging camera–one that vloggers in the industry do rave about.

This is a really handy way to get more value from my zv1. The lens are well made and felt quite durable and mounting it felt secure. The lens did a pretty respectable job and the image still looks sharp and I didnt notice any degradation when looking over the photos. Overall happy with this.
