My children and i have played with this loads and it’s still standing the test of time. I sent a query to customer service and they went over and above to help. It restored a lot of faith in how companies value their customers. Highly recommend all round.
went for this because i read the reviews. Glad I did. me and my 8 year old have used it extensively since we built it, which took about 10 minutes, we did need two adults to assemble it but we’ve had great fun with it ever since, not sure the neighbours are as pleased
Bought this for my grandsons 11th birthday. Have to say it was a brilliant buy. The whole family join in and play, mum dad and 6year old brother. Even I had a few baskets. Easily put together. Hours of fun.
One if the pools the hole wasn’t drilled through. My son in law sorted it. Hope don’t have any issues but looks as though the company is very flexible with any problems that may arise
I bought this stand for my daughter’s birthday, but she’s tall and the stand wasn’t high enough. I enquired about purchasing an extension pole as I understood one was available and the seller had one made and shipped within a week or so – for no extra charge. The stand is now the perfect height and my daughter loves using it.

Good cheap basketball net. Could be built a bit more solid as the hool bends easily even when using a size 5 ball.
The hole the fill with sand and water is rather small so took forever to fill.
Bought this for my sons 6th Birthday, he loves it! Great that it’s an adjustable height which will grow with him. Easy to assemble & sturdy, but also easy to manoeuvre with the wheels.
We bought this for our young children, aged 4 and 9. The height adjustment means it’s perfect for both of them.
A really well manufactured item, with clear assembly instructions. Rock solid once up and the base filled with water.

This basket ball hoop is brilliant. Easy to build, just needs sand in base to keep stable, but also fine with water for younger players.

Purchased this item for grandchildren’s Christmas. Having constructed the item, found a minor defect and reported it to customer services. The email was answered quickly and within three days, a replacement set was delivered to the door. I’ve never experienced customer service as good as this. Well done Stanley.

I was having issues tightening the nuts but I got in touch and they resolved the problem for me quickly and definitely went the extra mile to ensure the product was suitable. 5 stars all day!

My son has been so desperate for one of these so I finally gave in he absolutely loves it! The seller was very helpful with any questions I had, and was very accommodating when I asked for a extension pole. You don’t get this with many sellers!! Highly recommend.

My daughter loves it and won’t stop playing with it, she’s so, so happy. It’s nice and sturdy, just great, not a lot else I can say about the product, really happy with it.
Next, customer service. After purchase, I had a query (bought it over a month in advance of her birthday), Stanley replied to me. First class customer service and all I can say is all company’s should have this level of customer service and they all need a Stanley!
I 100% would recommend this product and seller (and I’m very picky), but don’t hesitate!
My nephew loved this and it’s not at its highest so he can use it for many more years! Fairly easy to put together it comes with everything you need!
Great product but you need about 8 pairs of hands to build as it’s design for putting together is awful
Good quality basketball net which has several different heights for the hoop as the children grow. The base fills with water to give it some stability when in use and also has wheels which enables you to till it and then move to different location or for storage.
Great kids love it and it adjust to height of kids burly teen or teeny tot can all take part x
This is just a great item both my 11 year old son and I have had some fantastic fun with it. It did develop a slight problem ( not the manufacturers fault) but we contacted the supplier and they sorted it out with ease. I can only highly recommended both the item and the supplier.it was easy to assemble, sturdy( it’s important to keep it topped up with water) and it’s easy to move about on the wheels.
Bought for my 5 yr old, he loves it. Should last a long time time as long as its stored away in winter. Easy to assemble and maneuver, height of hoop adjusts for all ages. Very sturdy even when using a full size heavy basket ball. Highly recommend.
The item was really easy to put together, instructions easy to follow. Base filled with water and my 8 and 10 year old have played with this for days on end. Sturdy piece of kit, no problems experienced to date. Thought this was a good mid range price.
Base leaking after very little use, bought it 4 weeks ago, no heavy use, being very careful and just found out it on the floor as base is already leaking and not keeping the balance. Would not recommend it.
Update: seller contacted me after the initial review and provided a full refund and also said they would send a replacement product. Great service.
I bought it in April 2020 and kids really enjoyed playing on it until one day a few months later, it fell because of a windy storm.The fall resulted in breaking of the board and the unit was left unused till 2022, when i thought of talking to the customer care to see if they have replacement board. Can’t believe I didn’t think of doing this for so long. Stanley from NS promptly sent me another board.To my surprise , he didn’t charge me for it.I can’t express how grateful i feel.Thank you so very much Stanley!!
Instructions are rather brief and the spanner supplied is hopeless but once it was built, the grandson enjoyed it.
UPDATE: The vendor has sent a replacement base as soon as I raised the problem with them so I cannot fault their customer service. For that reason I have put the rating back up to 4 stars.
My 13 year old enjoys shooting hoops and dunking (carefully) and the ring and backboard have been fine so far, but the plastic base split on the first day, and half the water leaked out making the base less sturdy. The only thing that could have caused the split was impact of the basketball itself so this is very disappointing! The height adjusting screws also broke (see photo) when tightening them up but this doesn’t seem to affect holding the height in place.
I would have given it 4 stars if it wasn’t for the split plastic as the rest of it seems as sturdy as you could expect for the price.
Very poor quality plastic base, welded joint split open after a few days use, now unable to fill it with water. Extendable pole height range is great, hoop and board good quality and easy to assemble. Very let down by the base which is a fundamental part of it staying upright! Seller Contacted and rectified the problem. Very happy with service.

Simple product that was easy to put up. It was sturdy until the base started leaking (after 2 years) but amazingly they replaced the whole thing! Great service.
Might need extra weight on base (e.g. bag of stones, or sand) when at full height or in a high wind. But very good value and eminently enjoyable for teenagers.

I bought this for my son who is 12 years old who’s been asking since last year I was waiting for the Sun to come out so May 2022 I decided to buy one he’s very happy with it I like the fact that you can adjust it to different sizes and it’s so easy to set up
Bought this for my son’s 9th birthday and he absolutely loved it. He helped with the assembly as he couldn’t wait to start practising.
He is 137cm tall and the height at it’s most extended was a little low for what he uses at basketball practice. I contacted the seller to see if I could purchase an extension pole and they replied straight away and had one made and shipped out. You can’t ask for better customer service than that!
The pole sent was the same piece as the very bottom pole, allowing you to extend by around 70cm. This will be an invaluable item allowing us to use it for years to come. Thank you Northernstonelimited
Fairly easy to assemble but does need two people. Seems quite sturdy. We’ve only had it for a few weeks but it has been subjected to some fairly hefty throws by my 8yr old daughter and 21yr old stepson and is still intact!
We bought this set back in 2021 for my son and we have been delighted with it. Putting it together can be a bit tricky if you are on your own and putting the net on the hoop is fiddly but I cannot knock the quality at all. We had a slight issue with the base and Northern stone responded immediately (on a Sunday) and we had a replacement on the Tuesday, they couldn’t have been more helpful

Really nice solid hoop was pretty easy to assemble on my own. I’m using it for my 6 year old son it is set pretty low for him he is absolutely loving it. Using a junior basketball it has a good bit of room on the hoop could easily use a full size ball if you wanted to. The hoop has a good counterbalance when filled with water hasn’t moved yet when backboard is hit with the ball and nice thick net on it. The height adjustment is very fast to do and should last my son until he is much older. I would definitely recommend this hoop to anyone who is looking at getting a good solid hoop and not break the bank.
My son wanted this for one of his Christmas presents. He’s 15, and as he’s getting older I said he could put it together. It’s now warmer weather so he decided he would actually do it. It took him nearly 2 hours, but he got there in the end, and did it himself. His first DIY with no supervision or assistance. He was pleased with the end result, and I was pleased he put in the effort and stuck at it even when it was annoying him. It’s adjustable height makes it good for various age groups to use. Really pleased with it, and it gets my son in the garden and off his computer!
We’ve been using the hoop and stand for a couple of weeks now and my kids (10 and 7) love it. Took a bit of putting together by myself but got there in the end. It’s easy to lower and raise the height of the hoop, is sturdy and good quality kit. It looks pretty neat in the back garden too. Make sure you weight the base with water for ballast. Hoping now that it bears up well through the rain I think it will.
Purchased this for my child so he could practise slam dunking . He loves it . If you put enough water in it ( like a bucket full, it will be sturdy enough ). We wheel it to a garage after use . Wheels ok if you put a nail in the rod hole to secure them in place .
Needed two of us to assemble .
Took about 60 mins. ( other people would do it much quicker if they like assembling things. ).
It comes with the tools but preferred using our own and they were sturdier .
Easy to move , fairly sturdy structure if you put enough water in the base.
It’s a little shorter than expected but be with do for kids up to 12 or so.
Great basket ball net..i did message the seller to get an extensions delivered as it was slightly too short for my 12 year old daughter.

We’ve had this product for almost 2 years, always left outside in the elements and it’s been absolutely fine. It has blown over a few times only in extreme winds, but no damage to it at all.
What’s really made this stand out is I recently contacted the seller about getting an extension to make the hoop higher (kids growing, daughter wants to practise netball etc), and they are sending one out free of charge. That is outstanding customer service, I’m so impressed.
I’m impressed with this basketball hoop. I read a few reviews about this one and other ones on this site and decided this was the best one to get, Northern Store. The reviews for other basketball hoops didn’t give me much confidence in them.
This one arrived well packaged up. What was great was the nuts/bolts etc were all sealed and individually numbered and the hoops pieces were also individually marked so it was very clear which pieces you needs to use. It took me around 30 min to put together, probably quicker with 2, but I was taking my time. The trickiest bit was attaching the the hoop rim to the backboard but that was about it really.
I’m happy with it, so is my son.
