OLPRO Outdoor Leisure Products Solo 1 Berth
OLPRO Outdoor Leisure Products Solo 1 Berth Backpacking/Hiking/Wild Camping Technical Tent – Lightweight, 5000mm H/H Waterproof Rating Te
Backpacking Tent
Design
When designing the Solo, we made sure to include all the features that we’ve experienced through years of product development. We prioritised a lightweight, low visibility tent which can be used by one person for solo camping. This design reduces excess pole weights, whilst providing a well structured tent for facing the elements.
Alloy Poles
We’ve used alloy poles and pegs to minimise the carry weight. They’re lighter than traditional fibreglass poles and steel wire pegs, because we know that even the slightest reduction can make a massive difference when you’re out hiking.

This is a nice quality tent, bigger than other 1 man tents I’ve used. Stitching quality is good, with well-worked seams – the poles are good quality and the tent needs just 3 of them to be fully erected. Zips are good and seem strong, with good stitching along them.
I feel the tent lining could do with a blackout layer to try to reduce the amount of light coming in. It’s always been a bugbear of mine that many tents don’t do this and since I bought a bigger family tent with such a lining, I find it hard to go back.
All in all, this is a nice, small, lightweight tent that just about misses out on 5 stars with the lack of a blackout layer which I’ve personally come to see as a must-have in my tents nowadays. Almost there OLPRO!!
The OLPRO Solo 1 Man Tent is a budget-friendly gem for solo adventurers. Here’s what you need to know:
Design: It features a central hooped pole and two smaller ones at the front corners. The twin-skin design (outer flysheet and separate inner) allows flexible pitching—outer first or all-in-one.
Materials: Made from recycled polyester with a 5000mm HH rating, it performs well in wet conditions. Not the lightest at 1.8kg, but manageable.
Setup: Takes a few minutes longer due to three poles, but the inner-first or all-in-one pitch design is clever.
Value: At just 125, it’s arguably the best value solo tent on the market.
Ideal Use: Perfect for hiking, backpacking, and cycling—wherever adventure callsAd1.
OLPRO Solo 1 tent – light at only 1.8KG. Easy to carry around in your backpack!
Made from a Oxford 150D Polyester flysheet with a waterproof rating of 5000mm H/H.
I wish the instructions contained some photos as I did find it a bit hard to put together. That is why is always good to test your tent before going outdoors, in this way you learn how to put it together and also make sure you have everything you need.
It is good quality, we’ll see how long the zippers will last.
Bit expensive, but it makes up for the looks and quality of the materials.
I wish it had a top hook so you can attach a lamp.
When fully done it looks quite big spacious enough to Snug two people in.
I love the mosquito mesh and the two ceiling air vents.
I’ve been after a Small, Compact & Lightweight Tent now for a little while and when I saw this one come up on Amazon, I thought I’d give it a try – And you know what, I Absolutely have No Regrets! It’s a Very Simple Design, but because of this it’s Really Quick & Easy to Erect/Take Down and I Love the Army Green Colour, as it helps it blend into the surroundings without standing out like a sore thumb. I’m impressed with the fact that it’s a 4 Season Tent, meaning it features rigid shapes and pole geometries that allow it to bear substantial snow loads and powerful winds. As well as this it also features Greater Durable Fabrics than other tents, such as the 210T Ripstop Polyester with a waterproof rating of 5,000mm H/H, which should help to withstand everything the UK has to throw at it! The Real Icing on the Cake though for me is the Weight, which is only 1,080g and the Low Price of just 95. Overall, the Quality, Compactness, Weight and Low Cost is what “Sold” it for me and I’m Chuffed To Bits With it! Thank you.
