About Us
Nintendo’s mission is to put smiles on the faces of everyone we touch. We do so by creating new surprises for people across the world to enjoy together. We’ve forged our own path since 1889, when we began making hanafuda playing cards in Kyoto, Japan. Today, we’re fortunate to be able to share our characters, ideas and worlds through the medium of video games and the entertainment industry.

I preordered this for release day, I am of an age where I played the original red and blue on my gameboy and followed the franchise up until the DS.
Admittedly I fell off a little and missed a couple of titles, starting again with Pokmon sword.
Initially I was a little underwhelmed by the ease of the game, the shared EXP is something I can’t get my head around, but speaking to other players, this is something they enjoy (no grinding out wins in Viridian Forrest before battling Brock for some!).
The story is good, I enjoyed the multiple storylines throughout and the characters are all enjoyable. No issues with bugs (for me) and once I learned of the post main story tasks I was even more impressed.
It’s easy enough for a Pokmon novice to start their journey, and has enough Gen 1 & 2 Pokmon to please the old(er) trainers like myself.
Pokmon Scarlet for the Nintendo Switch is an absolute gem for any Pokmon fan. The game features stunning graphics, immersive gameplay, and a captivating storyline that kept me hooked from start to finish. The new Pokmon designs are creative and charming, and the battle mechanics are both strategic and exhilarating. I appreciate the attention to detail in the game world, from the bustling cities to the serene landscapes. Whether you’re a seasoned trainer or new to the Pokmon universe, Scarlet offers an unforgettable adventure that’s well worth the journey. Highly recommend adding this game to your collection!
She said it was super fun and it was challenging too, which makes this game fantastic.
Christmas present for my 8year old. He’s a very happy boy.
My second Pokmon game I’ve properly gotten into, the first being ultra moon for the 3DS. The open world aspect fits pokemon so well. My issue with the game is that the menu and map I find hard to navigate and don’t know where to go next so I end up a bit lost. That could be a me thing though.
Very different from the other games they have launched it was interesting the way they did this one not sure if i love the new approach but definitely don’t hate it either. Its easy to use no bugs arrived fas
As I said, fun game. It has its problems and graphics could be better but as a child loved the thought of a pokemon game where you could go wherever you wanted and as an adult it’s fun to do that and reminisce about a simpler time
he game was delivered ahead of time, and i have spent the whole afternoon playing it. it is very fun!
Honestly compare this game to the others, it is Honestly fun and a lot more open world. Havent completed it yet but Honestly getting there. I really recommend this game. You won’t regret it.
I bought Violet when the game released, and then bought Scarlet after I completed it. It has also finally got my husband to play a Pokmon game for more than an hour too!
It’s glitchy, but it’s such a fun game and has been the first Pokmon game I’ve enjoyed a lot since X and Y.
Newest addition to the Pokemon Franchise. It’s a fully open world game where you are free to do whatever you want. Dare I say, it’s the best Pokemon game up to date.
As far as choosing a version goes, I feel like the paradox Pokmon in Scarlet are much more cooler than Violet but of course this is a personal preference
We are so into Pokmon and we are really enjoying this game!
Amazing game, fully recommended if you are fan of pokemo
First and foremost the “story” play-through of this game is fantastic. Game Freak have put so much content into this new release, it’s a really absorbing experience in the land of Paldea.
Bugs have been well documented and although you see quite amateurish visual glitches all the time (weird rendering of the environment, low frame rates), it doesn’t affect you if you are playing the game “normally”. I don’t do any raids in online mode so any bugs in that aspect of the game haven’t affected me.
My biggest criticism is that Game Freak have not made it clear what the best path through the game is – you have to refer to internet articles to work out where to go next. Because it is “open world” (although some parts of the map are hard to get to quickly), you often come across challenges that are well above your level – or conversely can end up at a challenge that is a long way below your level! It can be a bit frustrating to lose heavily to one gym boss, and then defeat the next one easily. If there was a star rating on the map, or if the Pokemon Center suggestions of where to go next were based on difficulty instead of proximity, the game would be much easier to enjoy without having to get “spoilers” from the internet. Generally speaking I think there could be more in-game resources to explain sandwiches, evolution criteria and breeding but you don’t need that info for a basic playthrough.
Best Pokmon game I’ve played the whole world is a wild area I loved tha
My son love this game he has been playing it as soon as he got it .it is new so no tricky stuff because I was worried about if I am going to receive one that isn’t new. Fast delivery before the date estimates. Thank you Amazo
Very entertaining Game to play I really like the story that comes with it very awesome produc
Good value having bought this from amazon pre-ordered, was more expensive elsewhere.
The game itself has some glitches.
Got for my boyfriends birthday and he’s having a lot of fun with it, has said that it’s the most fun he’s had with a pokemon game in years.
The only issues is that there are occasional visual glitches and crashes
Gameplay was fun but at times the game runs poorly. Fortunately, as someone who does not mind performance issues I still found it ran well enough to keep me enjoying the games progression.
I’ve heard many poor reviews of the game but for someone who just wanted the Pokemon experience it does just that, fair few cut scenes which if you’re not all about the story then its fine, the story could have been better.
Gameplay is slow and laggy, but if you can look past the performance issues the game itself is thoroughly enjoyable
Whilst this game has gotten a lot of deservd flak for its graphics and general performance I don’t think that should take away from the core game which is great and the correct step forward for the franchise in terms of general gameplay and narrative structure. Generally I do not play Pokemon games for the graphics so that aspect wasn’t huge for me the performance played some role which for the franchise I don’t think is acceptable but if you’re purchasing for a child or younger family/friend I’m not sure they’d notice much anyway. Overall I think it is a great game and lots of fun to be had within.
I know alot of players are tanking this game, i have played since gen1 and there isn’t a single poke game I don’t own, however, that doesn’t mean it gets an automatic free pass.
It does feel clunky BUT heres the thing this is pokemon not COD. What do you want from it ? Its openworld the level scaling seems fair, the world is fun to explore. Overall its a solid offering.
Don’t believe the people whining calling this terrible, its an okay pokemon game and if you want something pretty chill to play… this is it.
Pokemon Scarlet is the first Pokemon game to offer a semi open world. You can do the gyms and challenges in any order (though they are not level matched). Some bugs were present when first released though I did not experience any bugs just occasionally FPS dips when there were more than 6-7 pokemon on the overworld
his is a decent game let down by many flaws, hopefully the game will be updated and brought up to a decent state as graphics and draw distance are common issues.
to me legends arceus looked and ran better, i like the way the series is going with regards to open world and explore how you want, but sadly this is a subpar effo
The actual game is fantastic my son is loving it, but as far as ordering to get a pre order gift go elsewhere! NEVER PRE ORDER from Amazon as they have proven that there pre order gift offers are scams. I will never order from scamazon store
I absolutely adore this game the characters and stories are amazing and the picnics are the best part! A couple glitches and bugs here and there and the fps isn’t the best but it’s definitely not game ruining plus they fix it for you in game. Controls are pretty fun and easy. Arrived on time and in pristine condition! Very fun overall a couple’s glitches but nothing too bad 10/10 would recommend this game! Favourite so far!
It’s open world, it lets you roam every inch of the world after the first hour long tutorial. It’s a fantastic journey. I’m 10 hours in and I can guarantee you will love it… if you can ignore the performance issues.
The day one patch has helped, but some of the areas experience serious stuttering. It doesn’t break me out of my zone and doesn’t break the fourth wall for me but if you get annoyed with framerate skips, you might want to wait until they patch the strange performance issues. They only happen in large towns from my experience but it’s really not acceptable for a game that costs full AAA prices.
I still give this a 5/5 because it really is ambitious, large, wonderful and gets so many things right that it doesn’t deserve a star getting docked for that ambition.
I’m glad too have the game just a bit annoyed about the actual cardrige being a bit broken but that’s the only issue.
Also very curious if I am able too just get a new game cardrige just so that I could just swap
