Bit fiddly to set up, and a bit fiddly to use but guess I will get used to it. Good display

I have moved to Polar from another fitness tracking device (a very popular one). Polar beats the others hands down. Really nice looking, lightweight device. Battery seems to last a long time. The information provided on the app is good.
    I recommend 🙂

I have mixed feeling about this watch, Having used several smartwatches i was hoping this would stand up to those and unfortunately unless you want just a stand alone fitness watch this won’t. Now I am not saying this is a bad product just make sure you know your requirements before you purchase this, the watch itself is a very sleek and smart looking device, with Sleep trackers, fitness trackers, health trackers and the like. An accurate heart monitor keeps you aware of your current condition. The watch notifies you of any messages you may recieve via vibration but you need to go to your phone to reply or answer calls. the app has a good interface and communicates with the watch really well.
Great fitness watch, less great smart watch

Good fitness watch not a smart watch

Since this is my first smart watch, I dont have anything to compare it against, but seems to work well.

As others have said, a few software upgrades are required initially, and after these are done, both the watch and app seem to work flawlessly so far.

Display is very clear, and its easy to switch between functions.

Pairing with app is quick and easy, and even with the software updates, I think it only took me around 30 mins initially.

Comes in a nice presentation box, and includes dedicated charging lead, 2 sizes of strap, and full instruction manual.

Probably more info than I’ll ever need, as I will mainly use this for mountain biking, but its nice to have plenty of options to choose from.

    Would recommend

Modern looking with plenty of features

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPrevious post have mentioned interface slowness and lag. I bought my Polar Ignite 3 on 17th November and since then there have been software updates which have all but resolved slowness and lag issues, so ignore the earlier posts. The display is beautiful and the watch is very light and easy to wear.

Seems accurate when compare heart rate against gym equipment. Can sometimes say I’m asleep when not even wearing it but easy to change the sleep time on phone. Can provide basic exercise routines on phone. Really quick to charge.

Bought this to replace another more well known fitness watch. Polar is more accurate and I coupled it with a Polar chest strap for absolute accuracy. Has served me very well during my rehab from a Heart Attack, making sure that my exercise is not either a too low or too high level. The app is excellent in illustrating bands of exercise heart rate, and advising whether daily exercise is maintaining, loosing fitness or over-reaching.

Works well (usually) I’ve only had a couple of times were it thought my HR was 180bpm when I was doing general low level exercise.

Worked like a dream but it crashed randomly during one of my workouts and did not save it. Amazing heart rate monitor but sadly treating with caution now…

Good watch, battery seems to be about 3 days with about 2 hours of working out.

Screen sensitivity is still poor but slightly better than the polar ignite.

I had an Ignite 1 for 2 1/2 years and just upgraded to the Ignite 2. I am a big fan of Polar Ignite. Version 2 is a real upgrade from version 1. Like the rose-gold color, very feminine. Like the fact that this time the bracelet is not plastic as it looks more like and everyday watch but that there is an option to change it to a plastic one for swimming and sports in general.
Can’t find any fault so far but I had it only for a week so can’t really say in the long run.

After a year of home office working, I needed something to help promote a better lifestyle. The polar ignite 2 did everything I was looking for: fitness orientated with good sleep tracking and an eco system that provides simple feedback and motivation. Battery life has got me through a long, active Bank-Holiday weekend and proven quick to recharge and synch. Now 6 weeks into a 10km training programme the variety of training events, automatically downloaded, has been great: stretching, core mobility, strength exercises in addition to heart rate profiled running. All this in an a light, attractive watch. Impressed.

Perfect for tracking activity, sleep and training. Lots of sports to choose from, the heart rate and GPS have both been accurate. The Fitspark workouts are great as they guide you in each session. The battery life is good and it charges quickly. Also great for tracking my runs and lengths when swimming. I also like the music and having the weather is a bonus. It looks good, is light, slim and fits my small wrist well. Its’ a great watch.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersTerrific value for money. Great watch for tracking my Les Mills online and live classes. Good for logging runs and if you keep it on 24 hours it gives you loads of info re your sleep patterns.
I’m so addicted to it now I feel lost when I have to take it off to charge!
