In my hunt for a quality projector, I was able to try out 4 projectors that ranged from a native 720p ‘ISINBOX X8’ with focussing issues from aliexpress for 45 (took about 3 weeks to show up) all the way to an ‘Artlii play 4’, purchased here on amazon for 240 (usually 360).
The quality I get from this 99 projector is just astonishing. The colours once calibrated (using a reference image on my phone) are very accurate and seem to have a very solid colour space. The projector can be seen clearly in daylight (although a bit washed out) and has a tolerable fan level at around 42dB.
What I’ve found out through a little investigation is that this Gammabai and the Artlii are made by the same exact company (possibly in the same factory). The design is identical (I/O, text font, underside) apart from the top where the more expensive Artlii has awful touch based controls that trigger randomly sometimes. The gammabai is newer and although they might share the same lens and architecture, I found that there were no blurry edges on the Gammabai (even though I project it off-centre) and the picture quality is identical, even better (colour accuracy).
Auto-focus is great, auto keystone works every time (although I manually did it to have a larger picture) and the speakers are very loud.
There is no operating system on this projector but neither does the Artlii (TV box is included though). I just use a Google TV 4k and everything is just perfect (although for some reason, the input is capped to 4k 30Hz and only shows 60Hz for 1080p)
If you are looking for a projector under 150, there is no other choice that is better. Other comments for this projector mention a RRP of 300+ so I’m not sure why they made it 99 (I’m not complaining lmao).
Just to close off, another projector called the MAGCUBIC HY350 was bought off aliexpress for 80 on black Friday. That was also a 1080p Native projector but has but focus and mediocre speakers (lot of bass).
Great product especially for the price. Great picture and visible in daylight. Did return first purchase as thought inner lens had a dark mark on it but after receiving another established that it was a mark on the menu screen that must have been preloaded. No mark when playing from firestick etc. The auto/manual focus and digital keystone, digital zoom etc enabled easy setup for the screen. Sound quality is good and happy with the output. I have placed the projector on the ceiling and again easy setup with the settings menu allowing to flip the picture.
Excellent picture on all formats – Miracast, ios, 2 x HDMi points. Don’t even use my TV anymore, would definitely recommend…

I was hoping to replace my 1080p projector with this unit however on opening I realised that this wasn’t a 4K projector but that it can simply play 4K video at 1080p using a builtin decoder. This in itself is very useful as it saves me having to change the output of my AVR when playing over the projector instead of the TV but I was a little disappointed at not being able to view them at the full 4K.
That said, this unit is well built and can be used almost anywhere with the shortest amount of setting up required. I’m not sure how the auto alignment works, it just does, so there’s no more spending ages getting the keystone positions right every time it’s moved.
After plugging in and lowering my screen, I tested the bluetooth which for me was not good enough to play a movie but for watching a slideshow of our latest photos then it seems to work well enough.
The magic comes after a decent quality HDMI cable has been plugged in from the video source at which time the quality is as good as any other 1080p that I have seen. I did have to darken the room a little as we had bright sunshine but on a normal day without the sun streaming through the window this would be bright enough to see. I didn’t check the audio output as I always play video from my AVR so the sound comes directly from that to my builtin speaker system.
This projector comes complete with a very nice case and several accessories although I used my own cables as the supplied ones didn’t look to be that good a quality. I would use a proper projector screen with this but at a push any light coloured and straight wall would still work.
Overall, this is very easy to use and as a portable unit it is truly amazing, just plug it in and go.

The quality of this projector is surreal, we are delighted with the ease of being able to stream movies through it from any streaming platform. Undoubtedly, it is the best option to make your home a real cinema!
This is quite a nice projector. To start with it comes in a well constructed carry case and is lightweight meaning it’s very simple to get it out and pack it away again. Just taking it out of the case and plugging it in is all that is required.
This projector is NOT 4k. The listing says ‘4k supported’ which is technically true, it will downscale your 4k videos to 1080p to play them, but it cannot play them at 4k. I am undecided on whether the listing is trying to misleading here. Also note that 4k isn’t mentioned anywhere on the box, only in the listing.
Saying that though, image quality is pretty good. Perfect for sports in the garden or movies in bed to fall asleep to. Don’t expect to be building a high-end home cinema with this, but have you seen the size of those projectors? This is intended to be a small, lightweight and portable (still needs power) projector and for that it is great.
Setup is simple. Because it’s lightweight you can put it on most things, I used the box it came in to raise it up. There is a small leg at the front on the bottom that you can unscrew to adjust the angle of the projector so that it points upwards which is good as it’s rare that you will be able put it high enough to just point it straight forward.
Auto focus works great. Automatic keystone calibration wasn’t as good for me, maybe because I had the front leg extended to the max to point it upwards. It was easy enough to do it manually through the menu, takes just a few seconds.
The fan is very loud. I thought this was going to completely ruin everything but luckily once the audio is on you can’t really hear it. Audio quality was decent for a projector like this, though be aware that it doesn’t support Dolby Atmos. It does say this in the listing but it says it supports ‘Dolby Audio’ which could mislead someone thinking it means Atmos.
Connectivity is brilliant. I was able to cast from my Android phone no problem using Samsung’s “Smart View” feature. If you plan to do this you need to actually select the Miracast option on the projector home screen. Initially my phone could not find the projector but everything was fine once I realised you have to explicitly select this option on the home screen.
Overall it’s a very nice projector, easy to carry around, great connectivity and decent picture.
I wanted this ready for the World Cup this year, and I’m still waiting on my screen to arrive – so I just set this up and aimed it at the wall for now. The unit is really nicely packaged, seems well made and was VERY simple to set up. I connected the projector to my WiFi network at home and used the screen mirroring function via my iPhone 13 Pro to grab a music video to see how it performs – and it’s really good. I’m happy it will be great for the football, that’s for sure!
It has auto focus, with a manual control option if you feel the need to adjust it yourself. The auto worked perfectly for me. It also has auto keystone correction, (with manual option again) – the auto worked well. It has built in sound which is actually surprisingly good!

The quality of this 4k projector on face value is very well made and is let down by the basic leads get yourself some quality 4k leads the blue tooth is very hit and miss but having said this once you connect up the projection quality is fantastic but do get a proper viewing screen to project on too if you are using in your garden or in place of your TV otherwise you are not going to get the best 4k quality vision, think about the location before you set it up so you can get the maximum enjoyment, Overall at 330 this is a very high price compared to other brands with similar features. Looks and sounds amazing. Very nice carry/storage case when not in use. Very easy set up. Supports 4k playback,2.4 and 5 g wifi with built in bluetooth aswell. HDMI x 2. USB x 2 for movie play back from stick or HDMI souce. Watch your movies in the garden or home on a screen or wall at far bigger than your television size. Very smooth playback I found on all input sorces with no lagging. You dont need the Projector directly in front of a screen or surface due to this has a auto correction allowing a 16.9 play back from any angle. Very easy also to cast your mobile phone to this Projector with no hiccups using my Google Pixel 5.
This is a very well made, stylish and robust Projector which will fit into anyones home. One of the best Ive seen out there based on the price tag, which I will say is very good with what you get in the box.
