Seems to work ok and is reasonably quick. Power lead is long enough but cable to tyre valve could be more generous. Plastic case feels fragile. Wouldn’t like to drop it. Analogue guage is best feature. Superior to digital type and easier to read in bright sunshine. Noisy.

I purchased this after my old pump stopped working. For the money I paid it’s quite good. It does what it says on the box but it is a bit slow.

Good quality compressor, not too loud and quickly inflates car tyres. Only reason for 4 stars is due to air loss when removing the screw fitting, I’d recommend getting a quick connect adapter which has solved this.

Purchased and used for the first time in December 2022. Used once since then (today March 17, 2024).

    Convenient, Compact and Powerful.

Analogue dial reading is in 2lb steps for PSI lb/square inch reading. So use judgement. I found it compared well with my in car digital dashboard pressure readings.

Fast operating time; just a couple of minutes per tyre, and much more convenient and easier to use than a garage forecourt pump.

    Noisy, but not deafening.

Perfect for occasional use, not sure it would last regular use.

Selected this 1 for its features being a good alrouder at a reasonable price. I’ve used it, the lead u plug into your cigarette lighter is a reasonably good length no problem pumping tyres up .U get the reading on the clock when u connect and you can set the pressure amount .If I can use this it must b easy I give 5stars its quick and efficient,Highly recomend this pump for anybody who wants something good but easy 2 use.

Absolutely hate inflating tyres at garages.

Just an annoying job that I never want to do.

Having this at home is just so much better.

Everything works easily and effectively. Get a good pressure at a perfectly decent pace.

Job is done and unit packed away before I’d have even got to the petrol station to pay to go it there.

And the unit is much cheaper than I’d have thought. Already paid for itself over and over.

Have also used for bike tyres. The slower delivery works great for that.

Keep it in your car and have peace of mind.

Great pump – easily pumps up my tires. Sometimes it needs a break and overheats (auto shut off) before pumping all four tires. Great though for occasional use. Analogue dial isn’t as precise as I would like.

The Ring Automotive RAC610 Electric Tyre Inflator Air Compressor has truly exceeded my expectations and has become an indispensable tool for my car care routine.

    Pros:
Rapid Inflation: The RAC610 works like a charm when it comes to quickly inflating my tires. No more wasting time at gas stations!
Compact and Handy: Its compact size and lightweight build make it incredibly portable and easy to store in the car.
Simple to Use: The straightforward interface ensures hassle-free operation, even for those less tech-savvy.
Reliable Performance: I’ve used it multiple times, and it consistently delivers reliable and accurate pressure readings.
Versatility: Beyond car tires, I’ve used it for inflating sports equipment and even beach toys during family outings.

    Cons:
Non-digital Display: One thing to note is that the display is not digital, which might be a preference for some users.

In my experience, the Ring Automotive RAC610 is a top-notch inflator that offers excellent performance and convenience. The non-digital display didn’t hinder its functionality in any way, and I found the pressure readings to be accurate. This reliable companion has saved me from numerous tire-related troubles, and I highly recommend it to fellow car owners seeking a dependable solution for on-the-go tire care.

I have had lots of tyre inflators over the years and so far I am impressed with this. Lets hope it lasts.
I like how it is relatively quiet and it pumps the tyres up much faster than the others I have had. I would have preferred the tyre connection to have a lever rather than the screw on type .

I dont normally like gadgets but this is easy to use and much better than using air pumps at a garage.
My son had one in his car and we relied on it for a long journey this weekend so as soon as we were home I bought one. I have used it today and am very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a fantastic little air pump for the price I don’t think you can get any better. I got this because I had a very slow puncture and I’ve never had time to get it repaired as I was flying out to Europe the very next morning. I got this on the same day delivery from Amazon and put it in the boot of my car. When I got back to the airport 10 days later at about 11pm at night my digital dashboard display told me that the rear tyre was low 14psi. I plugged in this little air pump into my car and pumped up the tyre to 33psi in 5 to 6 minutes at the most. I’m so pleased I had this little gadget in my boot. It’s really small and compact but does the job. Only thing I would say that the gauge is not 100% accurate but I didn’t really care about that I was just pleased to get my tyre pumped up so I could drive home late at nigh

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis pump is working well and managed to inflate a totally flat tyre (the neighbour who thought it was funny to let [the tyre] down is unwell and doesn’t function like the rest of us, bless him) in a few seconds over 5 minutes. This from 0 to 32 psi on a 165/80r 14 commercial grade radial on my 1970s Morris ton campervan.
The slight extra bulk of this unit when compared to my previous, similar device is noticeable but it has a much more robust feel about it than most of the smaller ones and it fits well into a space beside the Calor Gas bottle in the vehicle’s under sink cupboard.

This inflator must be worth the full 5 stars as I couldn’t fault it and because it does precisely what it was purchased to do.

Recommended, en”tyre”ly fit for purpose (sorry), good value and it even reached me before the tyre had been deflated for long enough to cause any damage. I’ve since used the pump to inflate the air mattress that I use in the van, the neighbour’s grandbairn’s football – yes, the same neighbour – and the tyre on my ancient wheelbarrow.

No more dreadful puns you have my word!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersCheap and cheerful. Only criticisms are the pressure gauge is manual and you can not set a pressure and you have to screw it on to the tyre valve so need to overinflate to get the right pressure as when unscrewing you lose some pressure

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersProbably my 5th air compressor, switched back to the Ring brand after trying out a sexy all bells and whistles one for 30 on Amazon which turned out not to work, broke it with anger. This one is simple with a multi scale dial gauge and a on/off button, easy to use. Will require fettling with the power outlet, can loose connection when moving the unit from one tyre to another. Simple and great value for money. No more low tyre pressure warnings!

    Tried and tested, great value

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt’s very light and easy to use , the power lead is long and the tyre tube flex is stowed neatly inside the unit.
The only gripe and it’s very small is that the compressor is quite loud, however if your stuck on a side of a road or you go to your car on the drive and the tyre is low or flat all that’s forgotten, I use it intermittently as I have a slow puncture and I’ve been too lazy to get it sorted. It’s small ,compact and easily stowed in a van or car get one as you never know

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery happy, with this purchase. It was fairly priced and will probably have paid for itself in very short order. It’s really simple to use: just plug it into the cigarette lighter, screw the other end onto the tyre valve, it will show the current tyre pressure PSI, press the big button to start it and when it’s inflated to the level you want, just press the button again to turn it off. It inflated a fully flat tyre on my car in about 3 minutes. When I tried to get the pump at the local petrol station to inflate that tyre, it kept cutting off saying it was done when it clearly wasn’t. I’ve used it about 4-5 times so far and it worked perfectly every time. I don’t go anywhere without it in my boot now and if it does pack up, I’ll have no doubts about buying another. The only things to mention are that it does make noise while operating (obviously) and that it vibrates quite a bit while going, so if you lay it in the ground while it’s running, it will get scratched up.

This is a good little compressor, small enough to keep in any car, quicker and cleaner than a foot pump and with a good connection to tyre valves. It also comes with adaptors that make beach inflatables a more convenient prospect, too.

My only complaint—and reason for a lost star—is the amount of vibration as it runs. It shakes so much that it has to be held, meaning the user also has to put up with quite a racket. But considering the low price, it’s not a huge problem.

I’m glad I didn’t spend too much on a car tyre pump because this is good enough for what I need. I also have a tyre pressure gauge which came in a breakdown kit, I’d recommend getting one – to quickly check if you need to inflate your tyre (way quicker than screwing most Ring branded tyre pumps on); also, because the pressure gauge on this pump takes a bit of getting used to in that it shows a higher reading than reality while inflating and some air is released when unscrewing… the screw-on / gauge issue is the only reason I give this 4 stars rather than 5.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this when my (Halfords) two barrel manual foot pump for the car broke after a year or so and the replacement single barrel (Michelin) one never even worked! I still like having a manual pump (I have now have an very cheap discount store single barrel one and so far so good) but having had to rely on a neighbour seeing me struggle and fetching their compressor I realised that I needed both.

I did a bit of research beforehand and chose this make as a manufacturer of decent compressors at a fair price. Some of the branded or automotive organisation tie-in ones are stupidly priced and yet offer nothing more really.

This is a simple model but that fits my needs. It stores away neatly and now lives on the boot of the car with the manual pump and tyre pressure gauge.

    PROS:
At just under 12 this is very good value in my opinion.
It works! Not had to use in anger so far (thankfully) just topping up the pressure but it’s okay for that.
    Stores away neatly.

    CONS:
nothing really – I know others have questioned it accuracy but I still use a manual gauge to verify the tyre pressures.
Long-term reliability is a matter of wait and see I guess, but if manual pumps are anything to go by then big brands and more expensive pumps (or compressors) do not necessarily equate to better reliability and if I am going to have to buy twice I would rather pay less for the privilege.

    OVERALL:
I can only comment in respect of my own fairly low usage, but I have found this compressor pump to work okay and be a neat, small and easy to store package. I tend to use it as a back-up to manual pump being old-school but I am pleased to have it there for that purpose juts in case. I can recommend it, albeit somewhat cautiously, as I know that others will use theirs much more often and thus will be testing it more thoroughly.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our Users[UPDATE 6 Nov 2020. Unless there is a problem, this will be my final update as the pump is now more than a year old. The latest lockdown prompted me to check the tyre pressures. All of them had lost a few pounds so I used the pump again. All was well and the pump was used to restore the pressure on all eight tyres without missing a beat. If it wasn’t so noisy and fiddly to attach to the valve, I would give it 5 stars]
[UPDATE 12 Jan 2020. I tried the pump again today. Although none of tyres really needed to be ‘topped up’, I decided to pump them up a bit anyway. The pump worked fine and is now three months old. I will check again in 3 to 6 months. Original review and updates follow…]
[Update 15 Dec 2019. I tried the pump again today. Even though they didn’t really need it, I decided to add a couple of PSI to each of the tyres on both cars. The pump worked fine. I would say it took about 1 min to add 2 PSI. Original review follows…]
[UPDATE 31 Oct 2019. I checked the tyres on the other car today and they all needed ‘pumping up’. The front tyres needed about 10PSI each which took about 3 min per wheel. The pump worked flawlessly.
    Original review follows…]
Every few months, I like to check the tyre pressures on the cars. That is all well and good but what do you do when one of the tyres has actually got a bit low and needs pumping up? I used to use a foot pump but recently came to the conclusion that this was far too much effort and takes too long when an electric pump would do the same job in a fraction of the time. The only trouble was that pumps provided with the cars are usually hidden away in a compartment in the boot and it is a bit bit of a ‘faff’ getting them out and putting them away afterwards.
My solution was to buy a pump that I could keep in the garage and would be easy to get out, use and put away.
I didn’t want to spend too much on something that was really just a testament to my laziness but after reading several reviews on several devices, I decided to try the Ring RAC 610.
Because it screws on to the tyre valve, it is a bit fiddly to attach and it does need to be quite tight to stop any air escaping. When in use, it did also strike me as quite noisy – not pneumatic drill levels but it would be very difficult to have a conversation while it is going. Fortunately, it only took about a minute or so to add about 4 PSI (which would have taken about 10 minutes with my old foot pump).
The gauge did not seem particularly accurate – it was showing about 30PSI when my other gauges were showing 34. However as I always double check the pressures with a second gauge, this wasn’t a particular issue for me but I wouldn’t rely on the built in gauge if it is your only way of checking the pressure.
All in all, in spite of the above, I still think this is a good pump for the money. My main concern is that some of the other reviewers have said that their pumps stopped working after a few uses. So, I will try to make an effort to use it every month over the winter and then update this review.
In the meantime, I think 4 stars is a fair rating
