Excellent for moving leaves and general tidy-up. Has saved a lot of time this autumn. Very powerful and batteries seem to last for a couple of uses before needing recharged. Lightweight and easy to store and was a great price. Recommended item!
Very pleased with equipment. Be sure to check if the battery is included or not when you buy. It is not always clear. I thought I had ordered battery with item but in fact hadn’t.
I have alot of Ryobi products and this is just another great product from them.
Well built and strong motor, run time is very good considering the strong force of the blower.
Used it many times from drying my cars after washing to blowing up a airbed to what it was intended for garden work….. Has definitely earned its 5 star review.
This is a surprisingly powerful and easy to use leaf blower. A speed controller would be helpful sometimes, and it really eats through the battery quickly, but still very good for the price point.
Not much to say.Good for light use.Best with a bigger battery but still quite power hungry.Battery life has been quite limited in my experience.I have a medium size garden and find this most useful for tidying up small jobs.
Nothing better than a good blow job on a Sunday morning.
Simply WOW.
Bought this the other day and first used to blow the leaves from the patio and furniture.
Today lovely and sunny so scarified the lawn. Then the raking and bagging of all the debris moss/grass normally takes more than 2+ hours to get cleared to a good standard. today it took 15/20 minutes to blow the grass into mounds and pick up….. no back breaking raking required!!!!! and far more efficient than any grass rake to clear the fine debris. It has paid for itself in my health in just one day!!!!
To be fair I have used a wired blower in the past but the long wire becomes a pain dragging over the lawn and piled grass SO being battery was brilliant. It did use just over 1 of my small 2amp batteries
What’s to say about the ryobi one tools
Good enough power to blow the leaves and cut grass away
I bought this leaf blower as a gift for my father. I chose a Ryobi product as I know we have a couple of other Ryobi gadgets that use the same battery and charger system. This blower is really good, it has very good power for a battery powered machine and good longevity of battery. It’s very light and easy to use in one hand. This blower is not as powerful as those petrol leaf blowers but that’s because it isn’t a petrol leaf blower and has its advantages in that such as reduced noise and no fumes. It is ideal for small/medium gardens and domestic/DIY usage.
a user friendly leaf blower when compared with my cable and petrol leaf blowers. Lightweight and manoeuvrable in confined spaces.
Excellent leaf blower for the money. Good for single usage with a 4Ah battery. Very good for blowing 95% of the water off motorcycles and cars after washing
Great leaf blower with okay running time (hence the 4 star review) easy to put together and very lightweight.
Good product. Works sell at blowing leave into a nice pile
Really light weight, so powerful does the job no complaints.
Great little leaf blower, powerful enough for my little front garden. I didn’t expect it to shift wet leaves but it did it with ease! It tackle’s a Big Ben pile of leaves no problem. Would recommend!
Ok, it blows leaves. My garden is about 1/3 acre but not lots of leaf fall. It was a bit slow but easier than trusty old leaf rake. I suspect it would be great on dry leaves, but they they dote d to fall when the weather is turning cold and wet. Keeping it for my 5yr old grandson to use.
As we already had 4 no 5.5 amp batteries we bought bare tool. Each battery lasts 15 to 20 minutes so we have 1 hour + operating time.No need for variable speed, blower works just fine moving wet and dry leaves off grass and hard surfaces. Being lightweight , body plus battery balance well at handle with easy on/off switch.
Works pretty good, I use it to remove lawn clippings from gravel, only downside is no power level control so have to adjust distance to ground otherwise it blows gravel as well.
Bought this ryobi blower to clear away the dead leaves in the garden and pathways. It works with any ryobi one battery. The device is reasonably light but the power is exceptional…it even blows away wet leaves stuck to the ground. A 4 amp battery last about 20 minutes.
The blower works better if you remove the small attachment device on its tip.
This blower was cheapest on Amazon, even cheaper than on the Ryobi website. Good for limited use.
The Ryobi OBL 1820S ONE+ cordless blower was bought in a bundle with the RC18120 compact charger and a RB18L40 4Ah battery for a slight saving on the cost of a battery.
It does not allow one to vary the power, but it is only just powerful enough anyway, and a lower power would never be used. On/Off is sufficient.
It is excellent blowing light items such as dry leaves and dust, but struggles with heavier more dense wet leaves and piles of heavy acorns (solid oak = heavy) when a mains powered blower was much happier and didn’t run out of juice.
Fortunately the oak tree only drops its 200kg of acorns almost all at once in the year, but leaves happen for much longer and are much more effort to sweep than acorns, and this is when a blower comes into its own.
With a 4Ah battery mounted the balance is about right, and ideal for someone between 1.70 and 1.75 metres tall to stand upright, arm relaxed, and without dragging the nozzle on the ground.
The 4Ah battery lasts for about fifteen to twenty minutes of blowing before needing a recharge.
The charger stays cool during the three hours required to fully recharge the battery. Taking this long suggests the battery has a big capacity for charge, at least 4Ah, maybe a fair bit more.
Lightweight and powerful machine makes light work of wet or dry leaves the only problems are it does use up the battery quickly and you can’t turn down the power so if you try to blow everything into a corner if you get to close to your pile of leaves you can end up re distributing them around. If I had the option again I would definitely recommend the machine with the option to reduce the air flow as you use i
This is a really useful tool great for clearing our decking of leaves, pine needles, pine cones and more which is the reason we bought it. It’s easy to use and lightweight so easy for my wife to use too. It’s also good with leaves around the garden.
Strong blower. Does the job. Would like more battery time.
everything else is great apart from blowing pressure is not as expected , otherwise love i
Definitely light and easy to use, had to but a 5ah battery as it uses alot of energy.
Thought it would be a bit stronger blowing, but does moves leaves if they are dry
I had ordered the model up from this with the clear tube. This was returned roughly 29 mins after receiving it because the nozzle continually fell off. So I took a gamble and ordered this one. Really pleased I did. It’s lightweight, really easy to use and the nozzle has a definite click. It clears the patio and paths brilliantly and I have another ryobi one to add to the collectio
This is an update to the review I gave earlier where I gave a 3 star rating
I’ve had the device now for a month or so and I can safely say that it is far more useful than I imaged even though it doesn’t have the grunt of my wired Black & Decker.
However, the fact that I can in a minute grab the machine, plug in a battery and away you go means that I can quickly blow away detritus from the patio and driveway and, therefore, I find I’m using the thing more than I envisaged.

First Review
I’m a bit disappointed with the cordless blower especially being an advocate of Ryobi tools – owning a good selection.
This seemed like a no brainer given that it is bare bones device and I have plenty of Ryobi batteries.
I own a very old Black and Decker leaf blower/sucker but it’s a bit of a pain to get it out the shed and plug it in plus it is very heavy. This was supposed to at least replace the blower part and given it being cordless, it would mean easy to get it out and get going.
This is indeed the case but the power that it gives you is no comparison with the Black & Decker.
It is fine for blowing loose dry leaves, DIY stuff such as wood shavings etc and also blowing out stuff from the shed but the bi-annual general tidy up in the garden unfortunately I still need to use the old B&D.
I am really happy with this. I bought it to blow dry my van after washing not for leaf blowing and it excels at that job.
However, last autumn I did some leaf blowing and on the first fall it did a perfect job. The second fall got wet before I got to it and the Ryobi blower couldn’t quite hack it. Shame really.
If you get to the leaves before they have been on the ground for too long this is more than up to the job.
Best to get big batteries though if you have any kind of area to clear as it does go through them.
I bought this blower as like many others, I have a variety of ONE+ tools, and a selection of batteries and it’s always so much easier than getting out extensions etc.
BUT – having previously used a cheap Aldi wired blower, I have to say that this is less powerful even using large batteries, and it took me much longer to shift leaves just on flat surfaces like paving and tarmac. So, for me, I think it’s going back.
EDIT
I think I was harsh in my original review. I kept the blower and it’s the only one I used this winter. It’s more powerful than I first thought, and in fact sometimes I wished I could reduce the power a bit as it would make it easier to make leaf piles for pickup. I recommend it.
I’ve got a big garden 2/3 acre and am surrounded by trees so it’s had lots of testing on borders, grass, paths & tarmac. Well done Ryobi.
I am very impressed with this Ryobi cordless blower, I bought this blower after reading many reviews and Which magazine recommendations after this I concluded that for good blowing power a flat or narrow nozzle is essential and also the option of larger batteries therefore Ryobi’s interchangeable battery stood out with it’s availability in various amp hour choices which can be used in any Ryobi battery powered tools.
I bought the Blower without the standard battery and bought 4AH battery separately to double the standard power along with the standard charger.
From flat this larger battery takes two and a half hours to charge fully but has the advantage of lasting longer with maximum power.
The test for any blower appears to be if it can remove clumps of WET leaves or grass not just dry stuff and this blower has enough power to get under wet clumps and blow them about a metre away.
I cleared my small back garden, front drive and had plenty of charge left to clean the grass cutting on al the footpaths surrounding my house left by the council lawn mowers.
I found this blower is also excellent at blow drying my car alter I have washed it which saves work and time.
This blower only has one speed so is always on full power but after using it for a while I haven’t found this a problem as if you want less power you just move a little further away from your target.
Over all I am very happy with this blower and with my choice of battery I have found it does the job and lasts as long as I need and if you need longer running time there is always the option of a 5AH battery along with a rapid charger if you really feel you need it ?
