Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI love the watch and all it’s facilities, but oh the battery life is dreadful. When one is supposed to charge it without losing information I haven’t worked out, but these days the only suitable period is when I’m in the shower.

Love this watch, accurate, does everything you need for fitness and well being, only downside battery needs charging all the time, blue tooth and pairing with phone drains battery, so if you are charging a lot doesn’t keep count, obviously.
The app is a bit hitty missy and is time consuming getting everything uploaded onto phone but overall good piece of equipment and nice watch.

Not bad and battery lasts around a day. Not sure about accuracy but I do like the design and features. I would have liked a spare strap, these are too expensive costing 35!.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this for my daughter and she loves it.

It was easy to set up and works well. Don’t worry about battery life as we found it to be acceptable, it’s just like a phone if you use it alot you may have to charge it more but it’s not unacceptable. She’s had no issues.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersCame without instructions so took a little while to work through all the stuff it can do. Now very happy with it.
Noticed various comments about the second button on the side not working.
As I have no instructions I don’t know what it’s meant to do. All I have found is it links to Samsung Pay.

This model has a smaller strap and a smaller clock face for teenagers however it my husband’s wrist with no issues but is on last hole. Generally galaxy watches battery life nowhere near as good as fitbit. Might have more options but fitbit might be more accurate especially for sleep but who really knows. I changed from fitbit because they broke down.

Love this watch, there’s so much you can do with it. Still learning as not a tec guru but easy to use once I got the hang of it.
So many more features that I have yet to learn but know the basics.

Needed a means of checking distance walked each day – doing a sponsored walk for charity. This watch offered this facility along with lots of other useful measurements, sleep, stress etc. Really like the watch, it will keep me on my toes and moving once the sponsored element comes to an end. What a positive though

I brought this as a gift in February. I wear it every day! The charge does hold so well, but does charge quickly.

I don’t have it on tight, but I have notice and indent in the wrist that can ache on occasion.

Stil, i get accurate readings and notifications quickly.

Happy out with this watch, checked with Samsung support and is the UK and Ireland model for the watch so everything works as intended. Battery life is not great on these but it’s functions make up for it immensely. Well worth it.

    Great watch, good price

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat exercise watch with GPS included. On average get about 1.5 days battery life. No real issues as the watch itself is curved underneath and the strap is very comfortable. Plenty of backgrounds/designs and plenty of after market options (straps etc).

Just arrived, but connected instantly and working my way through right now. But seems really good I have one I paid 84.99 for from the US and should have just fot this to begin with. All I hear is they’re ot worth the money. Well I’ve had 3 and this is the only one that does what it says.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOnce I had set it up to suit me it worked well. I was wary of battery usage given other comments but for me it lasts up to the 40 hours advertised and that’s ok for me. Easy to switch between screens and readable.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersQuite a nice watch, however it can only be charged using the power sharing feature on Samsung phones, which is finicky to get working most of the time. Would be nice if you could charge it via a cable or ant other wireless charger but it can ONLY be charged using your phone, and it takes quite some time.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs someone who hasn’t worn a watch for nearly 20 years (Currently 37) I was worried about forking out for a smart watch. However this watch is very comfortable and its features are great. The only downside to it is the battery life. I get two days max out of it and its a stretch to the finish of the second. Suppose that’s something that’s probably been improved on the Galaxy Watch 5.

super watch, much better than the samsung 3 I had before. Build is very nice. looks great and has a tonne of functions. battery seems to be ( a day of hard use) as its new i use it a lot. The strap is better than that on the Samsung 3 i had, softer plastic. Also screen is bigger than the version 3. impressed so far.

I was very much a pro-Samsung consumer 4/5 years ago, but after disappointing experiences with the S9+ and the Galaxy Tab Pro I have all but moved away. My old smart watch (Galaxy Watch Active 1st Gen) was struggling to get through half a day after several years of use so figured it was time to upgrade. I was reluctant to move away from the Samsung Health ecosystem, so went with this. Initially, I feared I’d made a mistake.

This is just my experience, of course, yours may well differ. For the first three days I watched the battery drop from 100% to 5% in less than 12 hours, without even using one of the exercise trackers. I reset the device and tried again, but it made little to no difference. I did not have “always-on display” on. I was about to send it back but read a few forum posts and changed the watch face to something that still had all the info I wanted, but without so much colour. I also turned off the wi-fi and the constant heart monitoring, though kept all the sleep-tracking on. Battery life improved massively. I switched back to the other watch face and, again, the battery started draining. Some of the included watch faces, it seems, are battery guzzlers. I downloaded one that works well and all seems well. I even tried switching heart monitoring back on and didn’t really notice any difference in battery life.

Week or so in and I’m finding it’s just the job for me. If you’re tracking half marathons every day you may find yourself topping up the battery. I can’t give it 5 stars because even after tweaking, the battery life is not as good as my Galaxy Watch Active 1 was when it was new, and that’s unforgivable. However, it’s a comfortable fit, the screen is great (and bright) and it’s rarely laggy. Good news is that the old charger works with it so I have one at work and one at home, should I need to top up.

This is my first smart watch. The first thing I noticed it how quickly the battery drains. It supposed to last a day, but for some reason I didnt even get that. I then realised you have to change brightness and turn off and remove some apps, and other features to improve it. Aside from this, I enjoy using it to pay at shops and also change the faces. The health tracking is also fun, but also drains battery more when enabled.

Love the functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, ecg, oxygen and ability to customise watch faces. Comfy to wear.

Downpoint is the battery life. I know I can cut it back by turning off a few functions but had them on my old Amazfit watch and the battery was much better on that. This battery is lasting about 1 and a half days (old watch lasted about 10 days).
Sleep tracking isn’t great on this either. It does catch sleep but not full amou

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBrilliant watch does everything I want it to. Tracks hundreds of exercises that can be set up individually or as one continuos one, Vo2, steps, sleep, stress monitor, BP monitor, the watch connets to the wareable app & Shealth app & gives you all the information you need, Makes an answer calls so you can talk through the watch without having to get your phone out, send & reply to text messages & emails, reply to fb messenger & whats app, has all the notifications you want or don’t want you add as you please. Easy to connect to samsung phone, easy to use, does have alot of tech stuff that you have to learn how to use, connect with playstore for apps & watch faces. Battery life is just over a day ’30hrs’ easy to charge. Has about 50 preinstalled watch faces to choose from. Absolutely brilliant watch, all for 149.00 excellent value, made the perfect gift from my husband. Couldn’t be happier with it.

    Fabulous watch

once updated and tweaked battery life is good. UI is fine. Relatively comfortable to wear. Pairs with my android phone easily, but the blood pressure and ecg functions won’t work unless you have a Samsung phone or you’re willing to install 3rd party hacks to turn these features on. very good for the money if you just want a smart watch and don’t care about the latest and greatest…

I have been using this for a couple months now, it is very reliable, you get all notifications, great exercise and sleep tracking, the phone call function works very well. The only thing that I would improve is the life battery, it barely lasts the all day.

Not as good as I though

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall I’ve been impressed by my experience with this smart watch but I have to admit that the battery can get annoying. I wonder who thought that forcing people to recharge it at least once during the day was a good idea. What about trackers? I can’t have reliable, overall tracking of my daily routine cause there’s always a gap because of battery recharge!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI couldn’t get it to connect to bluetooth after setting it all up fine. So it had connected to bluetooth initially and then disconnected. I tried all the suggested trouble shoots and toutube had no answers, just lots of reviews. I contacted the help support and got a tobot messaging. That was not helpful. Then I found one youtube that solved the problem for me. So here it is ….. when you first set it up TURN OFF WIFI on you phone. There os something about the frequensy’s of wifi and bluetooth. So it may never finish the set up or will finish it and then disconnect and won’t reconnect. Simple solution of turning wifi off until after it is all set up and in use. Then you can put your wifi back in no bother.

After solving the blutooth connection issue I tested out the watch features. I wasn’t impressed with the auto brightness as I am pretty poor sighted normally, so brighter that it was giving me was preferred. Even so, my son who has 20/20 vision said that it was quite dark even for him. To save battery I made sure the always on display was turned off. It was as standard out the box. I set it to wake with an arm raise/movement. But, unlike my old fitbit, you really do have to shake your arm to wake it and not just move your arm to glance at the screen. That could be improved on I feel. That said, it doesn’t waste battery keep coming on at the slightest movement. I found the ecg and blood pressure easy to set up but time consuming. If you don’t have a cuff blood preasure machine to measure and then manually input the result then you can’t calibrate the watch to take readings. You have to take 3 readings with the cuff when prompted and intup the data. The body composition is not terribly accurate. I know my bmi is 24 on a full body scan that I pain for and on my renpho scales my bmi is 24.4. The watch claims I have a bmi 26! my body fat percentage may be accurate but it doesn’t give me a breakdown of visceral and other type of fat. The steps feature I am not sure of yet. It does seem to be about the same as my fitbit.

The watch faces in samsung wear os app are okay for someone who wants a watch to suit them personally. I haven’t checked out all clock faces by any stretch but I found one I liked within the first few on offer in the app.

Apps available like spotify was easy enough to set up. I know this has features that fitbit doesn’t have but I do miss the ease of use and longer battery life of fitbit. Also I have an app for my personal trainer that fitbit used to sync to. This doesn’t so I have to input all the data to that am manually. So that is a negative point for me that may not be for others.
