I have been using this bag for a while and here is the only negative about the product, it is not comfortable to use as a pure backpack, but most people reading this will more than likely want what I wanted, a badly which can go on the back of their bike and then be a nice easy conversion to a backpack.

So now I have talked about the short fall let’s talk about where it works:

Easy of use: to get it attached (not fully secured) takes less than a minute, unzip the clip flap turn the strap the wrong way round pull the clips back with the joint puller and place it down, for additional security you can detach the strap clips to hug the rack

Features: the bag for the helmet is fantastic, it took me a bout 2 days after purchase to discover all its party tricks

Overall very happy may get another one to help hold the more permanent items so I can easily take it away when not in use

I’ve been looking for the perfect bag for my commute and hopefully this is it!

As a backpack – this works well, has lots of space inside and the straps are comfortable. Of course with the pannier clips behind the shoulder blades it isn’t as comfy as a conventional backpack, but it’s not overly noticeable and with time you’ll likely become accustomed. The internal laptop bag is a good size and also slightly padded to better protect your goods. It would have been nice to have another internal pocket or separator of some kind.

As a pannier bag – the clip is very convenient. Depending on the shape of your rack, it is easy to affix and the strap at the bottom keeps it secure. The clip ‘locks’ on and off when you lift the handle. To improve, I would have recommended the plastic spacers were made of rubber, as they have a tendency to slide side to side while riding, but only in extremes.

The shoulder strap supplied has good quality buckles and seems robust.

Overall the quality of materials used is impressive. The thick material seems waterproof enough for the wettest commute. That said – the quality of the finishing at the seams is lacking in some areas (as photos). This was.mostky easy to tidy up, but I’m a little concerned the bag will not have a long life due to this. I even found an additional offcut of mis-sewn material inside. The mesh used on the side pockets and helmet holder is stretchy but very thin and I’m very conscious of tearing it when putting bottles in the side.

Overall – I’m really impressed with the bag for the price. It is sturdy, made of thick, strong material with high quality buckles and straps. It is easy to use as a pannier bag and convenient to switch to a backpack afterward. Perfect for commuting, bike-packing or days out. I would recommend the bag to any cyclist, especially the commuter.

(NB the light in the photos is my own)

4.0 out of 5 stars Very versatile, an impressive piece of kit!

I’ve had this bag a couple of months now and it’s still as good as when I first got it. It’s a good size, I can fit my laptop, lunch and change of clothes in it (just). I really like the fact that it has the option to carry it as a back pack or as a side bag or just carry it from the fastening loop. 100% waterproof.
