Un po grande per quel che cercavo ..m v bene lo stesso
Must admit I was sceptical buying this device due to my recent experience with another GPS tracker bought from a local company with poor English translation and ridiculous functionality.
Great comprehensive mobile app and works well on my motorcycle.
Great value for money!
Would be great to see a comprehensive owners manual covering the mobile app

It’s so amazing what a little technology can do these days. This tracker is one of the more advanced ones with more features available. It’s an overall good value for the money working well in most aspects. It’s a little difficult to figure some of it out at first, but if you’re familiar with these at all, it wouldn’t be any struggle. The only thing we had issues with is where you’re supposed to be able to easily, at any time text or call the tracker to activate voice record. It was kind of a hit or miss, highly inconsistent. It does okay with the location data so don’t think it was a service issue. It’s a decent size, very easy to hide if you’ve any knowledge of autos and it stays put. Accuracy is about in line with most GPS, fairly close but can be off enough that you don’t know exactly when to trust it. It’s nice not having to pay any fees at all, other than if you need to for the Sim and service card.
Wow. I am amazed at everything this does. No membership needed. Long battery life. I take this with me when I go jeeping with a off-roading club. We are never lost now! I can backtrack using the system to see exactly where I’ve been. Easy to use and understand. Highly recommend
I’ve experimented with several GPS trackers after my wife had a bit of a run-in with a deer driving home from work late at night several years ago. It was a “perfect storm” situation where phone’s battery was dead and couldn’t call for help. She didn’t show up when expected and I had no way of contacting her to determine where she was. It was a sickening feeling and after discussing it with her we decided to find something that would allow both of us to track her car.
We considered an Apple Air Tag, but after some research on how they work I decided to find something a bit more robust. We looked at GPS trackers that offer a service, but these are pricey, starting at $35 a month. It’s important to remember that the vast majority of the time, a GPS tracker doesn’t do much, but the providers still charge each month. We also wanted greater control over what the GPS tracker could do. I began looking at stand-alone GPS trackers that rely on motion to “wake up” and begin sending telemetry, allowing for about a week between charges. In looking for solutions I discovered SinoTrack 905L and learned of all the extra features it includes for far less than $35 each month.
SinoTrack users require an mobile data account that supports 4G. While there’s been much discussion about SmartTalk’s $5/month plan for IOT devices, I already had a Ting account with SIM card. Ting sends a 3-in-1 SIM that supports regular, micro and nano SIM cards and it works great for the ST-905L. I’m not certain if SmartTalk plans include any voice service, but Ting does. This allows us to make use of SinoTrack’s AT commands which will actually tell the GPS tracker to call the admin’s phone and allow admins to hear what’s going inside the vehicle, something we considered an absolute game changer. The GPS tracking services we considered only offered this level of service on their premium plans, which cost as much as $60/month and require premium GPS tracking devices that cost far more the ST-905L.
The ST-905L was relatively straightforward to setup. SinoTrack includes an above average user manual whose only fault was being very tiny, making it difficult to read, but not difficult to understand. I charged the device for several hours before attempting setup. Then, I loaded the SIM and took the device outside to allow it to get a good satellite fix, which took less than 3 mins. There are indicator LEDs that confirm the device has both GPS and 4G signals. Once it had a location, I was able to set the device next to window while I completed setup, which involves sending codes via SMS to the device. It was surprisingly easy to setup.
Once everything was setup, I left the tracker in my living room with TV on and went to my office. I sent the message to the tracker and after a few moments I received a call from the tracker. I could hear the TV with no problems at all, it was pretty impressive to have this working out of the box in a matter of mins. Users can request a location update by sending a code (listed in manual) to the phone. Moments after sending it you’ll receive a text from the tracker with a Google Maps link. Touch the link and Google Maps opens showing exactly where the tracker is located. I also downloaded and installed SinoTrack PRO for iPhone, which dramatically simplifies using the tracker. It automates sending commands to the phone by providing a GUI for the AT commands sent over SMS. Same features, but far easier to use. Most importantly, SinoTrack PRO is FREE to SinoTrack owners. All I pay for is the $15/month Ting plan I used before getting the SinoTrack.
The SinoTracker also includes a powerful magnet that holds it firmly in place. The manual mentions a setting that can be enabled that provides a “removal alarm” that can tell when the device has been removed from the car. Because I’ve installed the SinoTrack inside her vehicle, I don’t require this feature, but it reminded me how easily this could be moved between vehicles. The SinoTracker 905L is one of the most full featured FREE to use GPS trackers. I’m saving around $45/month and can still use the Ting plan for other uses, I’m not sending some GPS tracking company $60/month for just GPS tracking charges. If your experienced with setting up mobile phone plans and prefer a DIY approach vs having someone else monitor your loved one’s location, SinoTrack is an excellent solution. It’s provided everything as described and more, we’re very pleased with SinoTrack.
I was very impressed with the ease of use of the tracker. I inserted a sim card and downloaded the app to my mobile phone and entered the number on the tracker sticker and voila, there it appeared on the map. I drove around the block and every time I stopped it was precisely where I was. It seems to be well-built, feels solid, and the 5000mAh battery is quoted to last 2 months. The price is very reasonable for such a versatile unit as I can use it in my car or anywhere else that I want to track. The charging connection is with a USC type C so it it very up to date.
Great product. Accurate location. Many features to try. Good battery life. Fit for the purpose.
The reason I ordered this was for my utility trailer, so that if somebody were to get through the tongue lock or the hitch lock I would be able to track it down and not have a bulky device to do so.
The device itself is pretty durable from what I can tell, and it seems pretty weatherproof so it can be used on any type of application such as motorcycle or trailer or even a vehicle.
I think that is a bit deceptive is the listing says “no monthly fees” and that is correct however you are required to provide a SIM card and the service for the cellular part of this which, could be seen as a monthly fee.
One thing that could use a bit of improvement is the text commands and the locating website. There are some oddly strange commands that you have to text to the phone number for the unit from your own phone number that you register for the unit in order to find an update or to get accurate information about it. And it would be nice if it was just as simple as an app I would think.
I could see this being a problem because if you don’t have access to the phone number you registered with the device is the authorized phone number it could inhibit you from being able to track it properly.
We’re all for the price it’s not a terrible price, however as I mentioned in the listing is a bit deceptive stating no monthly fees but many carriers now have data only options for a few dollars a month which could be well worth it to save a multi thousand dollar investment.
I give this four stars, and recommend it for anyone needing to keep track of their investments.
I had used Sino Track products a number of times in the past and have had great results. This GPS device will be replacing my old Sino Track GPS that was a 3G device and the phone company no longer supports 3G. The GPS was still working flawlessly until the phone service was discontinued. So, another device was needed and Sino Track was an easy choice.
While great products are one good reason to repurchase, there are a few other reasons. Service, they are very responsive to your questions. Not like so many companies that either sell you something and forget you. Or, do not understand how their product works. These guys are on top of everything when it comes to service.
Another reason is after sale service. They have an ALWAYS free web site that supports this GPS. You can track your device any time and it is always free. But a phone call and the device will text you its location so the web site is a bonus.
Best of all is that there is absolutely no subscription fees. Sure, you will need to install a sim card and pay the phone company, but that should be expected. We are using their suggested service, SpeedTalk, and it is costing only $5 a month. (Also available here on Amazon.)
As to the device and its operation. In my case I was able to just transfer the old unit’s sim card and I was up and running. Well, sort of. I was experiencing some issues getting the device to respond and “wake up” on demand. Not sure why that was happening, but I went to bed and figured that I would sort it out the next morning. Well, as luck would have it, in the morning all was perfect and it has worked great since. I tend to believe that it was the cel service and not the device but I guess that I will never know. All I can say is it works great. Accuracy is a little off at times (about 500 feet) but there is a proceedure to correct that and I will have to give it a try some day if it is important. Most of the time it is dead on target.
The device itself is about the same as the old device in size but is much heavier. Most likely due to the strong magnets. They hold it tightly to any metal that you apply it to. In my case I do not need the magnets. It is inside an aluminum trailer and has no issues with connecting. (Remember that cel services can be an issue in some locations but that is the cel provider and not the device) It does not have a “hard wire” ability but there are DC to DC Bucks that work and I have installed one of these so that my GPS stays charged al of the time but 14 days of on board battery is going to be very helpful in locating should it be stolen.
Bottom line… I love this device and expect the same quality service that Sino Track products always provide. The one thing that I would change is the looks. It looks nice but when someone sees it they will know that it is not just another “black box” under the dash of a vehicle. It looks out of place and that will trigger a thief to disconnect or remove it. If that is my only complaint, it is a small issue. (Being a retired auto electrical specialist I have a lot of experience with GPS devices)
I have used the product for a few days now. It works as prescribed. Easy to set up. The app is a little complicated but I figured it out. Everything else is great. I have tried different products before, with a $5/month SpeedTalk sim card it is cheaper than most other available products that would charge monthly fees. Moreover, the voice monitor actually works and it is a plus.
The battery capacity lasts for a hood while the tech support was very easy to follow whenever I needed help and when everything was set up and running the accuracy was on poi
I am using this device in my car and its pretty cool and they were very helpful in telling me how to install i
