He revisado a fondo y minuciosamente el trpode buscando algo que no me gustara y no he podido encontrar nada mal acabado o diseado.

This is a really well made and stable tripod. A tripod, or two, is one of the things I resent having to carry with me, when I bought the Manfrotto Befree Advanced carbon fibre I knew I would probably not go back to carrying the 2kg 055XproCarbon I had been using up until then. I was surprised how flimsy the Manfrotto felt, although setting a 2-3 second delay in the camera usually allowed sharp photos in most conditions. This is much sturdier despite not being a whole lot heavier. The leg sections all feel strong and it doesn’t get nearly as wobbly as you extend them all out. The operation of the leg locks and tubes themselves are nicely smooth. It definitely inspires more confidence.

I like that it gets almost as high without needing a centre column extended. I do however have a small column that I can use for additional height if absolutely necessary, just unscrew the ball head and then screw on the additional column.

I wish it had a hook for hanging a camera bag in windy conditions, but you can buy one separately as the underside of the head is threaded. You can also buy 1.4″ spikes separately too.

One of the best buys for photography I’ve made in the last year. I definitely recommend it.

Fantastic tripod that ticked all the boxes for me. Great quality beautiful piece of kit. Really sturdy, really well made (as you would expect from smallrig). At first I bought the Manfrotto Befree advanced carbon fibre but I just didn’t trust that it would hold up (bit wobbly). This is as solid as a rock. I love the 1/4 inch hole for attaching things like magic arms, this was another reason why I purchased this one. I have attached a smallrig Hawklock quick release to the hole which is in the leg bracket to hold an arm. It’s brilliant to have this functionality. Highly recommend

This is exactly what is advertised. I love it and it is so light in comparison to my other tripods, yet sturdy and compact. (I have carbon fibre hiking poles so knew it would be light) It is easy to either attach to my rucksack or carry slung across my shoulder. I do recommend this tripod.

My son recommended SmallRig products so I ordered this tripod for a holiday. It’s very lightweight, so easy to carry anywhere, and folds up small. It’s also sturdy enough to support a DSLR with a heavy 600mm lens. Would I recommend it? Yes. Would I buy it again? Yes.

This is a fantastic tripod, the quality is very good.
I love the design and is very lightweight and perfect for travelling and taking it around, it is easy to use and is very stable.
The size is perfect and is very well made, looks durable to me and is just perfect, I totally recommend it.

I’m very pleased with this tripod. Being carbon it is quite light for its size. I like that it’s not a carbon fiber weave as I feel that looks a bit tacky these days. This looks classy. The legs fold out on ratchets so there’s no chance of it accidentally collapsing. Additionally, it’s nice and stable once setup. Not much more to say really. It’s a good quality tripod that I thoroughly recommend.

    Good quality carbon tripod

I’ve been looking for a decent camera tripod for some time … one which is light but stable and easy to set up, with extending/adjustable legs that will stay where you want them without a fight. On the occasions when I want a tripod, I often need it in a hurry and inevitably find that once I’ve got it set up, it’s too late …

This tripod from SmallRig ticks all the boxes.

Even with the legs at their full extent, it’s pretty stable (there’s a bit of ‘play’ but that’s almost inevitable) and it easily holds my Lumix bridge camera, which can be quickly attached.

Everything on it works very smoothly, especially the leg catches, which are blessedly simple to operate.

Once used, it all folds away very neatly without a struggle, to be stored in the robust carry sack supplied.

Being carbon fibre, it’s not only light and strong and good-looking. I’m very pleased with it.

I received this free via the Amazon Vine program, but had I actually paid for it, I’d be very pleased with my buy. It’s a great as a general tripod for an enthusiastic amateur like me or as a travel tripod for pretty much anyone. Competitively priced, too. Highly recommended.

Light, stable and easy to set up ...

The tripod is compact enough to place in a backpack, or carry, yet extends to head height and light weight. It comes in a canvas storage bag, and as the legs fold back on themselves it makes its shorter when folded down. It does have some of the key features I would look for in a tripod – ability to flip the centre rod to get near floor level photos, a weight hanging hook for stability outdoors, smooth rotating ball head with spirit level and easy adjustment, quick release clamps on the legs for fats open and folding, and its compact but extends to head height.

The clamps are all plastic, this makes the tripod lighter in weight and so far no issues in use, they clamp tightly. being carbon fibre, it feels flimsy in comparison to my all metal one but in reality, is just as strong. The push catch on the legs to open them out works well and these are metal. The centre pole is released and an extension by a metal screw in lock. The rubber feet do screw in, so minor adjustments in height can be made and they can be swapped out for spikes or replaced when worn no doubt.

The ball head holds strong and didn’t budge with my DSLR with long heavy lens attached pointing down at a 45-degree angle. The head rotates 360 degrees and is very smooth, this can then be locked in position with the metal screw in knob – so no issues at all in the head adjustment and locking it tight.

One of the legs has foam padding for both carrying and this is also the leg that unscrews (see photo) to attach the ball head to for a monopod, a nice feature if you decide not to take a full tripod out. I’ve yet to find anything I dislike about the tripod; its perfect to take out, light weight and quick to set up.

    A great travel tripod

The first things I noticed was a loose rubber foot, I wasn’t aware it was screw on but it is, so there should be some spikes you can get for extra stability. It is apparent that they are screw on though if you look at the pictures.

The locking mechanisms for the legs are great. I dislike screw mechanisms, just tedious when you want to get set up quick because you’ve slept in too long and you’re wanting to capture a sunrise. So that’s a plus. They’re not cheap feeling either, lock and unlock easily enough but stay locked when you do lock them. The legs feel smooth upon release and when you’re sliding them back. A little looser feeling towards the skinner parts but not terrible.

The ball head is smooth, locks great and holds a Nikon D5600 with a 18-140mm lens on any angle you put it at. I trust the locking mechanism for the ball head to hold out a decent while on this tripod.
Don’t currently have any heavier or longer lenses and the S5 I just have the stock 20-60mm and 50mm lenses for so I can’t comment on those unfortunately.
The 360 rotation of it isn’t great as there’s no solid way to lock it on. It can unscrew the actual ball head itself if you rotate it in that direction but if you get it on tight enough that works okay to measure up for panoramic shots.

The centre column lock works great, extends smooth and works well. Feels good in the hand too. Feels like a reasonable quality for this price range.
Although when fully extended it’s not the most stable. However I think this is something common in general unless you’re spending more. 150 is still cheap considering some of the tripods you can get.. I would expect a little bit better here though but it’s not as bad as some of them I’ve experienced. I don’t think I can justify removing a star here as this is probably the worst issue of the tripod. The extra height here with the centre column I often find most people may not need generally (unless you’re tall enough or have specific shooting conditions you need met) so is often an overlooked aspect.

The leg adjustment locks are very easy to unlock, felt a bit uneasy feeling at first but they seem to be durable enough. Maybe it was just me during testing but they’re not as bad as my brain made me think they were after going back to it but I thought I’d throw that in there.

The carbon fibre pattern isn’t the usual crosshatch pattern I’m use to. It’s more of a diagonal spiral. Looks cool though, just not what I’m used to seeing!

Overall, it’s a pretty nice tripod. Genuinely is a pleasure using it. I’ll be heading out on the weekend up to some hills so I’ll take it along and hope for some mild wind to see how it fairs in the field. Will update later down the line.

As with all my reviews, they’re constantly on-going so if anything changes I will update this review.
