Ingredients:
- SodaStream Sparkling Water
- 2 slices of cucumber
- Small handful of basil
- 15 ml agave syrup
- 25 ml fresh lime juice
- 45 ml gin
- 15 ml elderflower liquor
METHOD: Fizz cold fresh water with SodaStream sparkling water maker. In a shaker, muddle the cucumber and basil with agave. Add the rest of the ingredients (except the SodaStream Sparkling Water) and shake vigorously. Double strain through a fine sieve, into a glass filled with ice. Top with SodaStream sparkling water. Garnish with a ribbon of cucumber.
Strawberry Sparkler
Ingredients:
- SodaStream Sparkling Water
- Ice cubes
- Strawberries
- Squeeze of half a lime
- Slice of lime to garnish
METHOD: Process strawberries in a blender until smooth; pour into a pitcher, squeeze in the lime. Stir in the SodaStream Sparkling Water and serve immediately over ice.
Grapefruit Cooler
Ingredients:
- SodaStream Sparkling Water
- Ice cubes
- Juice from half a pink grapefruit
- A few squeezes of fresh orange
- Slice of orange to finish
METHOD: Add the fruit juices together and mix. Top with crushed ice and SodaStream Sparkling Water then garnish with the mint and orange.

I bought this because my daughter and I like different drinks depending on our mood, this allows me to buy various syrups and to make different drinks when I need them.
I love mine, use it all year round. Looks stylish left out on my counter top. Very easy to use. I use mine, add traditional concentrated cordials as well as carbonating filtered water.
Love this machine. We had one many years ago, decided after a lot of thinking to purchase. Replaced having to carry crates of cams up 4 flights of stairs. Easy to use, syrups and replacement gas cartridges available locally. Strip flavors are just the same as the cans. You will find the right quantity of flavour to suit you

Einzige negative Bemerkung zu den Plastikteilen: ob die so langlebig bleiben?

Von der Qualitt der Gerte von Sodastream brauche ich nicht schreiben aber die Bedienung ist fr mich jetzt noch einfacher und man kann noch besser dosieren wie viel Sprudel (mild-prickelnd) man mchte.
Die Optik ist sehr edel und macht sich in der Kche
Schmeckt genauso wie gekaufter Sprudel. Optisch mega nice. Ich wrde mir aber eine zweite Flasche bestellen. Eine reicht nicht.
Zu dem hier: Es war noch nie leichter Wasser zu machen was den Kraftaufwand angeht, mein Sohn hatte vor Allem mit dem Easy so seine Probleme. Den Hebel von diesem hier kann er mit zwei Fingern bettigen.
Und, ausschlaggebend fr diese Bewertung: Der Art ist mega leise, sowohl das aufsprudeln als auch das Flasche entfernen, was vor Allem nachts mit den Vorgngern ne gewisse Geruschkulisse erzeugt hat.
Bisschen kritisch seh ich den Zylinder. Die Technik ist super – aber patentiert. Wer sich an die Lieferkrise 2019 erinnertin dem Fall hier bleibt einem nur brig, das Hersteller – Produkt zu kaufen, welches – natrlich – auch wieder mehr kostet als die blauen Discounter Zylinder.
Wenn der jetzt auch noch lnger hlt als bis kurz nach Garantieverlust kann ich wrmstens empfehlen.
Top Produkt. Es ist einfach in der bedienung und Sprudelt gut. Man kann damit die Menge an Kohlensure selbst variieren.

In the package, you get everything that you need to start with. I had never thought that making these drinks could be so easy and I could be making one for myself. The best part is that it doesn’t need any battery or electricity.
You can easily order the refills and different flavors over amazon under the same store which should not have any compatibility issues and you will also not have to compromise on taste as well. I couldn’t find my favorite IRN BRU refill though:( I hope the store adds it sometime in future.
The machine has a compact design and is very simple to use. The quality of the material including the BPA free water bottle is excellent.
Last but the most important part of having this machine at home means you are going to save lots of trash and plastic. Overall, it might seem expensive to get these at the first place but I would recommend this to people who like carbonated drinks on a regular basis who should be able to gain out of this machine:)
This machine is very simple to set up and I had a fizzy drink made within 5 minutes. I like the fact that with this machine I can choose how carbonated I want my drink, from a subtle fizz to mega fizz, my son likes his drinks really fizzy so this machine is perfect. The idea of this machine is to basically cut down buying plastic bottles filled with drinks from the shops hence reducing waste and over the long term saving you money. I’m impressed with this machine, the whole family is, well worth 140, may seem an expensive outlay but should pay for itself over time.
So lets take a look at this machine in a bit more detail, my video shows you everything anyway.

I’ve never owned a Sodastream before so this was all new to me, I did read the instructions before use, they were well written with good illustrations, which if followed correctly, can have you set up in no time!
The machine itself is very well made, is basically the same height as my coffee grinder machine which is around 40cm. The base is non-slip making this ideal for any work surface in the kitchen, the whole machine has a smooth plastic exterior making it easy to clean.
The gas cylinder supplied can cater for 60 litres of use, as the supplied bottle is one litre then that’s 60 of those. If you wish to buy this cylinder on Amazon then you can, it can be found here, it costs around 21:

One simply takes the plastic film off the lid, pull the plastic lid off, take the back off the Sodastream and insert the gas cylinder, then place the cover back on.
The supplied 1 litre bottle has to be used with this machine, you can’t use any bottle, it must be made by Sodastream as it has been manufactured to cater for the pressures involved with their machines. Ensure you wash the bottle before use, best obtaining some bottle brushes because one isn’t included in the box.
Once ready, fill the bottle up, with tap water, to the water level mark, ensure the silver ‘bottle rest’ on the machine is tilted, place the bottle on and push up into the machine, then push the bottle back to the machine. Now press the lever down for one second and the tap water gets carbonated, you can repeat this up to 5 times for super fizzy drinks!. When done just pull the bottle towards you then out and mix with anything you like, a lid has been included to keep this water fizzy, the lid has a rubber seal and seems to do a good job, it doesn’t leak and the water stays fizzy for ages.
Ensure you do push the bottle up into the machine so that when you push it back there’s a small gap between the bottle and base, my initial use was a disaster, I hadn’t pushed the bottle in correctly and water went everywhere!
My son has his usual cordial in a glass and pours this carbonated water in to make a refreshing drink. You can buy replacement bottles of various sizes on Amazon, a good buy is the pack of 3 X 500ml bottles which have been specifically designed for Sodastream, they cost around 18 but you do get 3 in the pack, here they are:

Overall, a cool fizzy drinks maker, looks top quality and fits nicely amongst other kitchen equipment, saves on plastic waste, kids love it, so do I, well worth the money.
Remember, No batteries or electric needed!
