I have been using a Beam plus two Ones for surround sound for a few years now. I have always found the sound quality, including the bass range, to be exceptional for what it is. How Sonos got so much bass out of a little soundbar always amazed me! When they released the sub mini I took the plunge and overall I have been very happy with it. It hasn’t transformed the sound of my system, obviously there is more bass at the extreme lower levels which is what I expected, but the idea of the sub taking bass notes in order to let the Beam deal better with mid range? I can’t say I have noticed a big improvement in that area, it was pretty good before.
I have been into hifi since the 1970’s and I have yet to hear a compact system like Sonos come close to a decent hifi with good quality stereo speakers. But as far as convenience, versatility and appearance is concerned, Sonos is a winner, switch on the telly, you get surround sound, no fiddling with amps and inputs. Ask Alexa to play Radio 2 and she does, no fiddling with tuning dials. Play music from your phone, easy, no messing with records or cassettes or CD’s. It’s the future!
Bass is so strong even my neighbour started to enjoy techno music. Not for long tho because he couldn’t sleep. Bass is crazy it vibrates whole body and nothing can compare to it. Strongly recommended but you might end up being a lonely person, but with amazing bass
Sonos sub is a brilliant add on to the sonos beam gen 2 can’t fault it awesome
Awesome sound, I have linked it to my beam gen 2 and 3 one’s 2nd gen. It sounded good before i linked the sub but now it’s unbelievable, I’m over the moon with it,it’s totally amazed me. Hurry up and get one you won’t be disappointed
