Fantastic clean sound with loads of gain. My DT770 300 Ohm headphones don’t even need full gain at the medium setting. I also run speakers from the pre out and this works very well either into an amplifier for passive speakers or directly into active monitors. Liked it so much I bought another one.
Save yourself a lot of money and just look at what topping has to offer . I picked this amp up so I could drive some difficult headphones from the laptop . So far pleased but my big surprise was the akg 701 , few headphones can match the 701 soundstage , however they need a good amp . This topping fit the bill , I haven’t heard the 701’s ever sound this good .
I also wanted to say this amp has a very low noise floor. , no humming or buzzing .
Extremely neutral-sounding preamplifier. The sound connected to my Rega Brio R and Cambridge Audio Minx is stellar. However, I must mention that the headphone amp is far too bright with my HD600… A shame. On the other hand, the amp works well with my 7Hertz in-ear monitor.
From the start the packaging was quality and well presented and the L30 II itself felt solid and quality too. There’s absolutely no background hum/noise whatsoever from this unit, which I had with a previous DAC that I was using and the music sounds amazing through this device and the gains are incredible with no distortion even at high levels. Fully recommend this over ifI DAC’s which I have tried to be very disappointed in, you really can’t get much better than this without paying 1000’s for.

Dabym 5/5 ale suchaem na zmian z Monoprice Monolith THX AAA 887 u znajomego na moich suchawkach Hifiman Edition XS w trybie zbalansowanym na zbalansowanym kablu XLR oraz mojego L30II na single ended. Oba na tym samym DAC(SMSL DO200 MKII). Monoprice w trybie zbalansowanym brzmi lepiej pomimo leciutko gorszych wynikw pomiarowych, ma duo lepszy, bardziej kontrolowany, uderzajcy bass, czu delikatnie wiksz przestrze, wokale maj lepsz faktur. L30II w tym porwnaniu miesza delikatnie dwik, bass jest mniej uderzajcy a cao brzmi przez to(to co teraz powiem bdzie kontrowersyjne) ciut muowato, ciepo. Za to porwnujc oba wzmacniacze w trybie single ended L30II wygrywa a 887 brzmi le. Wic jeli Wasz DAC nie ma wyjcia symetrycznego, to L30II jest lepszym wyborem.
Trzeba wzi pod uwag, e 887 jest od L30II 2,5 raza droszy i wymaga DAC zbalansowanego. Std te zabior jedn gwiazdk, bo w tej cenie nie znajdziecie nic lepszego, ale to nie jest gameover dla wzmacniacza w torze audio i dokadajc wicej moecie dosta lepsze granie pomimo pomiarw.
UWAGA: Mj pierwszy L30II mia wad w postaci chybotliwego pokrta gonoci. Objawiao si to martw stref i trzeba byo przekrci pokrto o 1 godzin na tarczy zegara, eby zapao opr i zmieniao gono. Bardzo denerwujcy problem szczeglnie gdy chcemy precyzyjnie wyregulowa gono. Zwrciem wzmacniacz, Amazon wycofa go ze sprzeday i zamwiem L30II ponownie. Druga sztuka nie ma ju tego problemu i pokrto dziaa ok.
At the price this little amplifier is incredible As a pre-amp it nicely drives the powered speakers I have for my laptop As a headphone amplifier it’s sound quality is spectacular driving OneOdio Studio Hifi Headphones beautifully It really does sound excellent and reproduces all kinds of music well

I was looking to replace my rega headphone amp thought it was going to cost hundreds of pounds to get better then saw this topping on Amazon so give it a go. This costs literally beer money so didn’t expect much. The build quality is much better than I expected and once run in so is the sound quality which blew me away. Very pleased with it and look forward to every time I use it.

This is my first headphone amp, so I have nothing to compare it to. However, it has no trouble powering my Hifiman edition Xs headphones. Without the amp and plugged into my MacBook the volume maxs out before you would want it to, very low. With this thing you can destroy your hearing! It sounds great though, turned down a lot. Now,I need a better dac, some iems, a dongle dac
I am really happy with this purchase. I was not pleased with the sound from my Onkyo TX-RZ50 headphone output. I am using an Audiolab 6000n as the source/dac and paired with Beyerdynamic DT 990 pros, this sounds amazing. I use the preouts to feed my receiver for when it’s time to get loud. The only con for me is the preout is still volume controlled by the L30 ii. I set the gain to 0 and turn the volume to max. It works, but I’d prefer not to have to remember each time to turn the volume down so I don’t smoke my cans.
Besides that, I really like the warm sound and chirpy highs I get from the L30 ii.
Fantastic sound, lots of power (twice version 1 apparently). You can read reviews on specs/data, all good but it sounds excellent, which is all about. Driving my Audeze LCD-2 classics perfectly. Well done Topping.
I’m using it with a mastering-level RME ADI-2 Pro FS interface, which is amazing, but its internal headphone amplifier is not as good on the bandwidth extremes as they say IMO. This little addition of Topping has improved my listening a lot, for the price (and maybe beyond).
I use it mainly for professional HP mixing and mastering checks while traveling in foreign studios.
More stage, better basses and detailed highs, in general I can finally trust better on what I hear.
Anyway, just go to read the pro-reviews in the Internet, about this little box, to understand better what I mean.

Very clear and transparent sound. It has enough power to drive 250 ohm cans. Also very good for my 32 ohm cans. Definitely recommended!
Update: Pairing with my new 600 ohm cans, the L30 II works great. The volume knob never passes the 12 o’clock position. Loving this amp paring with an E30 DAC.
