Made it easer to get some sleep after a recent septoplasty for a deviated septum.
My baby was born in October and I use this every night. It’s made all the difference for her congestion but it’s not the easiest to keep clea
It’s good helps the kids sleep and breath easy. Easy to use and install in machine. No issues
This product help my baby breath better when she has a cold or bloke nose
So glad I purchased this for my child she coughs alot at night but these machine helps massively. Also got another for a family member who is made up with it. My kids actually fight over this when they are both poorly.
Exactly as it’s described in the description. Happy with purchase
I do not normally submit reviews but after concerns before we bought it – no problems at all and I felt that it is a product worthy of recommendation. needless to say I was a genuine buyer and am a happy custome
Really help with little ones at night , do t have in to high as you will start to get damp in the room , open windows in daytime to prevent black mould build up
I had a cough that wouldn’t go for a few months but I noticed it was better at night when I was in my bedroom. I got this monitor because I wanted to see if the humidity was making a difference and whether it was worth buying a humidifier/dehumidifier. I moved it around the house to different places leaving it for a few hours/days at a time. Turns out the readings were best in my bedroom so maybe it was impacting my cough! It was easy to use/set up and I found it interesting/useful. It has made me think about airing out other rooms or getting a humidifier for different rooms which are quite dry. I would recommend and thought ut was a fair price.
The unit feels like its built to last. It gives a good strong stream of vapour, that will suit a fairly large room. It has a large tank, so it runs for many hours between refills. The only negative I found is the stream of vapour doesn’t form as long an arc as other humidifiers I have used. That means when I put it next to my bed at night, while recovering from medical treatment, I had to sleep quite close to the edge of the bed for the stream to fall on my face. With any of these machines, make sure you put it in an open location. If its closed in, so the vapour can’t flow away smoothly, it will build up until you get puddles, mould and general trouble.
Not the strongest of scents – I think the calpol ones do a better job at decongesting.
Bought here for cost of other places. They do the job grea
So the little one was ill and I put this into action after a couple of days the situation didn’t change so I removed it. The build quality is great and it’s a small enough unit to put on a table or side table. My only gripe is that if you read the cleaning instructions its such a faff! especially when you live in the south where there is a lot of hard water :/
So my initial review was below but turns out i was using it wrong and had the humidifier to low and that’s why I had a puddle. Once I put it up high the water evaporated and I no longer had puddles of water when using.
I have used this several times now and everytime the floor ends up with a puddle of water and the bedding ends up wet so I have to stop using it. I wouldn’t recommend this item at all.
The device is well made and is really easy to use. The scent pad goes in an easy to access little tray and the tank is really easy to fill.
Operation is super simple, turn it on at the mains and single dial on the front activates it and sets the output. At full speed the mist comes out nice and thick.
Noise isnt too intrusive and certainly my daughter had no issue with it on. The mist is cool so no risk of burns etc
When the tanks runs out it just quietly turns off.
As for effectiveness it was a complete game changer for us. My daughter no longer coughs herself to sleep and no longer coughs throughout the night. I tend to turn it off when I go to bed rather than leave it on all night, its been very effective for us.
In terms of cleaning the tank obviously needs to be dried before being put in storage otherwise it would go mouldy.
We bought this model after our previous one died, which was a cold mist unit. Although that one was quicker to produce mist, this warm one is better for the winter I think as its putting out hot mist, which also rises (and therefore avoids wetting surface areas within a certain proximity as the cold mist one did).
It has been great for our son overnight who suffers from bronchitis. Only has a small green light on the switch showing when its producing steam and swops to a small red light when it has run out of water. A full tank lasts at least 5 hours, possibly more. The plug cord length is around 2 metres.
Since using this she has not had any nosebleeds at all as the air becomes more humid and is less irritating to the nostrils. She has also used the menthol vapopads when she has had a stuffy nose due to cold symptoms and she has definitely sleeps better through the night.
The menthol smell is not particularly strong though which for a kid is probably a good thing, however it might not be much use for an adult unless you sleep with it right next to your bed on a bedside table.
With a full tank of water, it will last for about 4-5 hours. I wish I got the larger one so that I wouldn’t have to fill it up again in the middle of the night. When it runs out of water, it automatically stops and the green light turns red. I’ve left it on the red light until morning and it’s not been a problem.
Cleaning can be a pain in the backside as you have to do it weekly to prevent mould build up. It would be better if it we’re easy to open up the tank completely to empty and clean but all you can do is let the water drain from the port – inevitably not all of the water will come out.
Very much rate this humidifier. I used it when both me & my baby had a cold and it magically stopped us both coughing all night. Both able to breathe easier and slept like babies!
The scented pads smell lovely and the unit is easy to setup. The quiet bubbling sound is incredibly soothing.
No major drawbacks, except I learnt the hard way not to tip it when full. The scented pads are a little tricky to fit without skin contact but nothing to put me off recommending to people.
Don’t wait until your child has a cold to buy one – they will have frequent colds and you’ll be very glad for this!
The light element is tiny and a bit ridiculous.
The big problem with ultrasonic humidifiers is is that most of the impurities in the water get deposited as a fine white dust that coats everything, so the whole room needs cleaning almost continually. This happens whether a water softener is fitted or not and the dust in the air also produces stuffy sinuses.
It does not happen with vaporising humidifiers like this one, where the impurities are left in the bottom of the tank and will also fur up the heating element. The water vapour is literally distilled water.
With hard water, the deposits are limescale, which requires soaking in acids and probably hard brushing as well to dissolve it but with softened water, these ions have been replaced by sodium ones. The huge difference is that sodium is very readily soluble in water and I clean the heating element with a 1 inch paint brush dipped in water — it just takes a minute, that’s all.
So, if you have a water softener, this type of machine is the one to go for. You don’t get everything in the room coated with dust, you get clean air to breathe and you don’t have to struggle to clean the element with acids.
In case you’re in any doubt, I have no connection with the manufacturers or sellers and bought two of these humidifiers with my own money.
Great for coughs, dry sinuses etc. It actually feels great on a hot stuffy night to have a lovely cool mist coming down on you in drifts. Feels completely relaxing!
The little pads that come with it I feel are too expensive, so I just drop my own oils on to the pads and just reuse them.
Its not too big and fits nicely on most standard shelves and bedside tables. Some reviews have said about dirt in the resovoir? Or mould? Mine is used all the time and I have never had mould. Of course you have to clean it on occassion. I used cotton buds and a solution of bicarb and a little liquid soap and warm water. Its like anything that holds water, you’ll need to keep it clean and not let hard water deposits build up in the resovoir.
I use this most nights and would really miss it if it stopped working? Ive had it for over a year and it goes on most nights – its a real sturdy little humidifier that just keeps going. Wouldn’t be without one now!
We have had awful coughs/cold and this has helped us sleep through the night. I use them in the Vicks plug in and works a treat. Currently about to order some more as this cold cough season is already hitting us hard!
These are excellent for kids rooms. Used with the plug in vapouriser and they last a couple of nights. I may add several drops of olbas oil to the dry pad to make it last 3 nights but this isn’t quite as strong! I plug in half an hour before bed time and shut the door and the smell has filled the room. It is not overpowering though. Works better the nearer the plug is to the bed, or the smaller the room.
My plug in has a night light which I have covered with a plaster as it was too bright.
These are a saving grace for any one with young kids with colds (or yourself for that matter!)
I bought this refill pack along with the vapourizer that they go in to, even though you do get supplied with refills with the vapourizer, to replace a one i already had but has been discontinued for some reason. I get them for my 6 year old son. They do work but they are not very strong. He’s only got a small room but you need to have the door completely shut or open a bit to have any effect. The last vapourizer we had was very good s you could smell the vapours downstairs! We will persevere with this as it’s helping my son to sleep at night when he’s got a cold and that’s all i ask.
