Item Reviewed: WIMAXIT Portable Monitor 15.6inch HDR Portable Touchscreen Monitor IPS Non-Glare Laptop Monitor Built-in Speakers Eye Care External Monitor with Smart Case Compatible for Laptop,PC,Game Console Price at Review: $169

Great bright picture – worked with Ubuntu Linux, plug and play.

If you haven’t “extended” your laptop screen, you don’t know what you are missing – by far the best upgrade I’ve ever done. Plus it’s a touchscreen (which worked automatically on Win 8 and 11) – as my normal windows laptop is not, it’s super convenient.

    It’s like doubling your efficiency!

The touch is very fast and responsive and the monitor looks great, even at a bit of an angle. It’s the same size as my loptop screen and just as good quality so it’s like an ultra wide. Just awesome.

Not sure about the durability, but it feels quite solid and strong. And not too heavy. For bang for buck, just hard to beat.

    Highly recommended!

I had one concern about the logo on the screen which was in the center instead of being on the left corner, but they told me that the location of the logo may be different for different factory batches ( Logo in the middle looks great anyaway ,and matte screen is perfect especially for work, but also movies look pretty good, no reflections). Unfortunately one of the cable wasn’t included, I contacted them, they sent me a new one ( including a cleaning cloth for the screen) in 2 days. On mac Mini m2 pro ventura, single touch is working perfectly ( apple computers still don’t support multi touch). Super happy with the monitor and their customer service. 5 stars

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFull disclosure: I received this item as part of the Vine program.

Almost everything about this portable monitor is amazingly good. The one complaint I have, I had to investigate a bit to see if it was me, a single-unit issue, or a design decision. I believe it to be the latter.

First the good things (which is most everything): this display is similar to other portable displays, allowing for USB-C power, HDMI or USB-C video input, with a very crisp and bright display in a solid case. No wobbles or flexing here! It comes with all the cables you need for use, out of the box. (It’s possible you might want a longer HDMI cable, depending on your use.)

Additionally, this display has touch-screen / mouse functionality, which feeds through the USB-C video cable. So if your source computer supports USB-PD, you can have a single cable connecting your display to your computer for power, video, and mouse. Very nice.

So now the one thing that is weird. This display comes with a folding cover/stand. If you’ve ever used a tablet cover, or any other portable display, you know what I’m talking about — and you can see it in the product description. Typically the cover can “fold backwards” to create a stand, using the display’s own weight against the cover to hold it steady.

That doesn’t work with this display, because the cover isn’t actually attached to the display. It’s a separate piece. At first I believed this to be a one-off build issue for my one unit, in which case I’d have simply swapped it and not given it a thought. But here’s the thing: if the cover *were* to be permanently attached, it will cover the VESA mounting holes in the back of the display, making them unusable. Therefore this appears to have been an intentional design decision.

So the cover can act like a … cover. But not as a stand. And let’s be honest: are you going to use a portable monitor laying flat on your desk, or on your lap? I doubt it. If you want to use the VESA mounting holes to mount this on a stand, it’ll work great. I tried that myself, and put the monitor on a monitor “arm” over my workbench for a few days. But I really wanted to use this as a portable monitor, not a VESA-mounted monitor. Therefore I used three strips of the XXL 3M tape to semi-permanently attach the cover to the back of the display panel. Yes, this covers the VESA screw holes so that they cannot be used, but now the cover can act like a stand, as one would expect.

In other words, my one complaint was fixed with 1 dollar worth of 3M tape strips. It would’ve been nice for that to have been included, though, and a description to avoid my initial confusion.

I still think it’s a great little display, and the touchscreen feature is a real bonus.

This is a convenient and easy to use monitor that gives you a decent sized screen on the go. It’s easy to connect to your computer and has decent resolution and brightness. My husband ended up using it with a roku stick in his truck when he goes over the road to serve as a streaming TV. If you want to use it that way you would have to get an adapter for the roku stick (or apple or fire stick or whatever other streaming sticks are out there) in order to hook it up and you’ll still need a power source, but it works well as a small streaming TV or a monitor.

+ Steuerung ber Touch/Berhrung funktioniert gut.

    Fazit:
Sehr guter Monitor/gutes Display mit Touch/Berhrungssteuerung. Insgesamt bin ich recht zufrieden. 4 Sterne

So I’ve taken 2.5 months to do this review, because I wanted to put it through its paces.
So I’ve used this with a variety of devices, being, a Laptop, IPad Pro 12.9″, 4K Android TV and a PlayStation 4, and all I can say is that it performed great with them all.
So as I show in my video, this can be powered just using the device, I connected my iPad Pro 12.9″ using the USB C-USB C” cable provided, and the screen powers using the device battery, obviously it runs the battery of the device down faster, but it still lasts some time.
I decided I wanted to really test just how portable this was so I took it with my iPad Pro to use on the train, and using the magnetic smart stand, I was able to work on it through the 2hr journey. There was only one point where I thought it might fall, which was when the train jerked, but it didn’t, so the stand did its job, I did have it in its “lowest” setting/view.
I also show in the video the screen being used with a games console, it provides really nice deep, strong colours, with a great refresh rate that gave absolutely no pixelation or lag, and performed very well. The only thing I’d say about gaming is that the speakers aren’t that loud, they do give a good clean, crisp, and full audio, but the volume doesn’t go very high on the built in speakers, however once I attached a speaker using the 3.5mm audio jack, the volume was great, a lot louder, but still nice and clear, with good audio definition between high and lows. I tried a couple of well known brands speakers and the screen worked faultlessly with them.
Now the screen doesn’t offer touchscreen when connected to apple devices, but I think that’s to do with Apple software as opposed to the screen, and all of my devices are Apple.
However I did briefly borrow and connect a Hp laptop and the touchscreen was smooth, precise and worked well. I also tried it with the same persons Android phone(Samsung), which also gave a very nice vivid picture, and great functionality.
Another good thing is that because the power brick is “5v, 2amp, 10 watt”, I can use pretty much any power brick I already have.
Now the fact that I can use this in “Portrait” or “Landscape” is great, it means I can have documents up in portrait, whilst editing in landscape on the main screen.
I like that it has a VESA 75/75mm attachment on the back, meaning if I want to I can fix this up as part of a permanent screen setup if I want to.
The HDR(High Dynamic Range) works well too, I found that when I connected it to a device that offered it, I got a message on screen so made the setting adjustments and got the best picture possible, which as I found with every device, was really nice and crisp.
This isn’t the lightest of screens thou, which did make me think twice about the portability “per say”, but to be honest, for me, the performance more than out weighs the weight, making it something I did, do, and absolutely will, put into a backpack as a second screen in a portable setup. The magnetic Smart Case provides a decent amount of protection and stays on well, so I’m not concerned with it getting scratched or damaged.
This screen has given me the ability, portable ability, movable from one place to the other, to have twice the screen real estate to work on, meaning I don’t have to keep switching between things before I can do anything, which I really like.
This is a solid performing screen in my opinion.

I’ve waited to do this review for 2.5 months, and I’ve tested a variety of input devices.

I recently purchased the USB-C external touch screen monitor for my 14″ Apple MacBook Pro and I am extremely impressed with its performance. The touch screen feature is a game changer and makes navigating through my work and personal projects a breeze. The high definition display is crystal clear and the colors are vibrant, making it a pleasure to use for extended periods of time.

The monitor is extremely slim and lightweight, making it easy to take with me on the go. It’s also compatible with my MacBook Pro’s USB-C port, which allows me to easily connect it without the need for any additional adapters, this is huge!

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the USB-C external touch screen monitor to anyone in need of an extra display for their MacBook Pro. It has greatly increased my productivity and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

I have tested this on my computer and on a laptop and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality and ease of use of this monitor!

The screen isn’t heavy and will fit in to a laptop bag (of the correct size) and not weigh you down.

The picture quality is as good as my laptop screen and as long as you have the usb attached it works flawlessly.

It is expensive but it is definitely worth the price as the old adage says, you get what you pay for.

This is highly recommended and well worth paying the extra over some of the cheaper models out there.

Really impressive portable monitor that has really suprised me. Stand it up, plug in a hdmi cable and away you go. Ive been using this to play on my steamdeck and xbox series s in our family room over xmas. ive also set it up so that i can use it in the spare room for my zwift workouts. Very impressive.Allso tried an iphone with a lighting adaptor and that worked too. Brilliant stuff.

I even tested it in my office for an extra screen and it works seemlessley. Very easy to set up, litereally plug and play. Screen is very good quality and crystal clear. Not sure on the exact ms but i know the latency was virtually none existent for gaming playing COD.

Its expensive yes, but when you consider what you are getting, its well well worth it.

This is a really beautiful quality screen. It was so easy to connect to my laptop and having two screens is perfect. I struggled a little to get it to stand up but once you figure it out it stands well. Would recommend this screen its brilliant!

This is a great portable monitor. First of all, I love this design. The black metal case design makes it look high quality. Second, and most importantly, it’s a touchscreen. This helped me a lot. I need to show my results to my professor in my weekly meeting, so I need to use the drawing board to draw and describe the flow chart in real time. I connected this portable screen to my desktop, and I found out that the touch screen function works on the desktop, just need to change some settings on my desktop. This provides great convenience to my life and allows me to describe my work accurately and quickly. I also take it with me to the BBQ and use it to connect my Android phone to play videos for my friends. It also provides a case to protect the screen, which is very considerate. For me, this screen is super useful. I highly recommend this.

    Ottima scelta, prodotto supe

Versatile screen, I set it up on my old laptop so that I could try it with some graphic programs, there was no need to use the power supply that came in the box it got its power off of the USB to USB C connector from the laptop, the video input was via the supplied HDMI to HDMI mini lead. To get the touch screen functionality you need to use the USB to USB C lead to have the screen connect with the laptop. The screen image was very crisp and the colours excellent on the default setting. The mat coating does seem to reduce reflections. I mounted it on a 75mm VESA base but I also used it with its magnetic case/stand. The stand gives a useful range of angle options and can be popped off as it is held on by a magnetic strip, or it can be folded flat on the back of the screen, handy if you want to use the touch screen as a drawing tablet or similar. The screen feels reassuringly heavy and seems well built. A menu and toggle button on the side provides access to input selection and lets you adjust volume, colour correction etc. etc.. Did not need the built in speakers but it is handy to have the option, the touch screen performs well, especially as the laptop it was connected to is a bit of on the steady side. You can use the other USB C connector to connect to Apple devices and some mobile phones but as my tablet does not have USB C it was not something I could try.

I purchased this based on some of the previous reviews and all I have to say is… Amazing. This is one of the nicest portable LCDs I have ever used. Best thing about it, it’s also a touchscreen. The build quality is perfection. It is an all-metal body (with the exception of the screen itself) and has some weight to it. It feels like a high-quality monitor.

What was surprising to me was that it also came with a high-quality magnetic carrying case similar to the iPad folios (without the extra added cost). The case itself can be folded and adjusted to become a monitor stand and does an amazing job protecting the LCD during transport.

The colors and picture image is sharp and the touchscreen is super responsive. The fact that it also comes with a number of different cables also makes it possible to connect this to any PC, laptop, and device and is easy to set up just by plugging it in.

I would definitely recommend this LCD for its build quality, amazing image, and cheap and affordable price! I’m actually planning to purchase a couple more for a multi-monitor setup.

I don’t think it’s the holy grail of portable monitors. It does have good colors, and a responsive touch screen. Comes packed well, has good accessories. I like the sleeve that doubles as a stand. I used it in my car as a second screen, For my kids to watch a movie. Worked well.

Also etwas probieren.

This monitor works pretty well. Out of the box the color isn’t great, but you can help fix that by setting the color temperature to 7200k, and the color mode to VIVID. Then it’s ok.

For some reason powering it from my computer worked ok, but it kept connecting and disconnecting – the only real effect was the usb connect/disconnect “ding” sound every few seconds.

It also suffers from the same problem every other touchscreen monitor has – you can’t use it as a secondary monitor. When set as the secondary monitor, touches are transferred to the primary monitor. (see the video to see what I mean.)

Overall a great monitor for a Raspberry Pi project or other uses, just not as a secondary monitor.

    Recommended.

Nice size monitor, color is ok, only usable as primary monitor.

I can’t fault this portable monitor, the HD picture is impressive, and the sound is good.

It comes with a power adapter and 3 leads that between them can connect it to most tech.
The anti-glare design matte display really is kind to the eyes.

I guess if you are looking at this monitor you have established a use for it, my first thoughts were that if I travelled with a laptop, I wouldn’t take this with me, I would either plug into another monitor at my destination or use the laptop’s screen. I have however found an excellent use for it as a second screen for my Windows PC. Connecting it was simple, one click in the Display Settings, and I was away!

My wife has also used it to project her exercise classes from her iPad using an Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter purchased on amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009WHV3BM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

I can also see that this would be a handy bit of kit for gamers wanting to get together to play on separate screens.

I have not as yet tested the touchscreen capabilities.

The magnetic smart cover gives excellent protection, but I found it a little annoyingly and flimsy when used as a stand.

I work in the IT field and I travel between locations for work. I primarily use a Laptop to get stuff done and always wanted a way to use a second monitor. I would always have to find an empty desk with a monitor to use as my station but now with this, those days are over. This screen is the perfect addition to expand your laptop on the go. It connects via a single USB-C cable to you laptop or phone for that matter, (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4). On one side it has 2 USB-C ports, 1 USB-C port to power the unit, although it gets power from the single USB cable that is plugged in, you can add the second power USB cable to get a brighter screen and use less battery from your laptop. It also has a Mini HDMI Port. On the other side it has 3.5mm speaker jack power button and menu wheel. It has a bit of heft to it but I don’t mind for what it actually does. It also comes with a screen cover that acts as a stand and a Screen protector included. This bad boy is also touch screen which matches perfectly with my laptop. The size is about the same as a 15in laptop screen. The absolute best part of this unit is that it comes with all the cables you would need included! The unit is plug-n-play no drivers needed. This is a must buy if your on the go with a laptop like me. Highly recommend.

I am planning a discreet and modern upgrade to my computer workstation with the criteria that it should be small, powerful, portable and configurable. This will involve a small fanless PC, a wireless keyboard and a 4k screen

When the Wimaxit 15.6 4k monitor came up I was delighted as this was the ideal monitor component for my setup. A 4k screen that could be run from an HDMI port and accept inputs from other various devices was just the perfect component for my upgrade.

On arrival, I set up the screen and went to turn it on and the small on/off button simply jammed in the on position and no amount of coaxing would release it. Not even an initial test and the screen was unusable. I decided to reach out to Winaxit to see how good their customer service would be.

I’ll cut the story short and say that I sent them an email to their support website and within three days I had a new monitor. If you have read other reviews here, you’ll know already that the screen is absolutely superb and has many 5-star reviews.

I want to add to this, by saying that when I emailed Wimaxit support they were absolutely first-class in addressing my issue. Communication was rapid and frequent to give me the full assurance that the power button issue would be resolved.

I now have a superb monitor and I’m delighted to say that those positive reviews on Amazon are completely in order and justified. The screen is simply gorgeous. Crisp bright colours, rich deep blacks and exceptional definition quality. It also has plenty of controls for fine-tuning the display

As others have mentioned, not all mobile phones will display a picture with this screen, but this is to do with the phone and is clearly detailed in the monitor’s instruction manual that not all phones will be compatible.

Setting this up from a computer is just a breeze. The HDMI connection is automatically found and a perfect sound and image is relayed to the monitor. I have made a short video of this screen next to my Dell Precision computer that it was connected to. Also, I’ve taken some closeup images that clearly show how dense the pixels are compared to the dell laptop (costing 2100) Image of the building is on the Wimaxit, and the truck image is from the Dell screen Both x 20 magnification

Touch screen features work well. Sound is acceptable for the tiny speakers that sit on either side of this ultra-flat screen. I also like the fact that It has a VESA mount and this will be great for mounting my fanless PC that’s on order from Amazon.

In conclusion, I can say this is a great buy as a high-quality monitor. But perhaps, just as important, you can rely on this company for first class customer service and that is so important when you spend a lot of money on equipment. I get the impression that they don’t want anyone to be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Not only a great monitor, but superb customer service - Can personally recommend!

This is excellent as a travel monitor for Gaming which is what we use I for but it’s so versatile it can be used for so many different things and it’s compatible with so many devices it’s Multifunctional and comes with the necessary cables for connectivity too.

I really like that the inbuilt speakers are at the side of the screen on each side , it’s got good sound quality for gaming for a compact portable TV, monitor.

It can be used with laptops , compatible consoles for a larger screen or so you can carry on your gaming when camping

The screen is bright and colourful, anti glare matt , with full HD rather than the 720p that a lot of these portable monitors are, this is full HD which is excellent quality and also touch screen technology.

The screen is 15.6 so it’s quite a decent size but still lightweight and easy to take with you on holiday or camping trips , it’s also easily shared or moved into different rooms in the house.

The screen seems bright and colourful, colours really stand out vividly but still look natural , it’s great for Gaming so everyone is happy , it’s a great addition to the household and easily shared when people want to use it.

It’s also an excellent addition to our camping equipment, we do a lot of camping as a family and this will definitely be coming with us.

    Great features for the price.

Very nice easy to use screen. Was very surprised I could just hook my phone up and it made it look like an actual computer. I have a Samsung and using the DEX software already on my phone made this a breeze. We tried it with a Sony and got nothing! DeX is key!

Also used it alongside my work laptop. Super handy to have a second screen that I can just put away. Don’t have to worry about mounting it or permanent space.

Even been using it with a steamdeck. Very nice clear pictures, great for gaming.

It’s really expensive! 229 when I got it. Which I get, it’s fancy, but I do think for that price I expect it to work with every phone. Not just Samsung or apple. So that’s a star off.

It’s crazy simple to use, touch screen is very responsive.

I really like it. But will hammer home that if you want it for your phone, make sure you have the right make to be compatible. For computers, worked perfectly on both of ours.

    Nice little portable scree

There’s a big difference in the amount of connection you feel when you’re looking at the person to whom you’re speaking. That goes for the person you’re speaking to, also. If you’re looking at them on your screen, and your camera is above the screen, it’s noticeable that your eyes appear to be looking down, rather than meeting their eyes. And probably you notice the same thing about them.

The solution is to put the camera in the middle of the screen, but it’s hard to do that without obstructing your view of the screen. Using a teleprompter with a live video monitor instead of scrolling text is the best solution I know. The problem is that the teleprompter mirror reverses the image horizontally, and that’s confusing to your eye and brain. There are so few monitors that can flip the image horizontally. This one makes it easy!

During the pandemic, I’ve been using a CCTV monitor for this application, because it had the capability to flip the image. It didn’t have very good color, though, and had too much contrast and a non-standard resolution. This is excellent!

My teleprompter setup has only a 15″ beam splitter, so this monitor is slightly large for it. If I want to see the lower corners of the screen, I have to move my head slightly. That hasn’t proven to be a problem. My only other complaint is that the HDMI to micro-HDMI cable is too short to route the way I’d like. That I can solve with an extension cable. In the mean time, it’s routed across my desk instead of around behind it.

Such trivial negatives, and such a superlative solution to working remotely with people. It REALLY DOES make a difference!

I don’t know that it actually is a touch screen – I tried it and it didn’t seem to work touch screen-wise, but that could be dependent on the operating system and computer it is connected to.

This monitor has a few options for connecting and the protective case has a magnetic backing to adhere to the back of the monitor. The built-in speakers are clear and I love its portability. It’s probably about the size and thickness of some laptops nowadays so it’s not awful to haul around in a backpack with a laptop pocket; I just don’t know that I would recommend carrying both a laptop and the monitor in the same backpack.

    Pros:

    – light, you can take it almost everywhere with you
    – good packaging
    – can be used in various scenarios, like troubleshooting something broken, playing games, productivity tasks, watching movies/TV series
    – you can use it as a secondary monitor with a laptop

    Cons:

    – might be too big to move it somewhere else than your room

Comes very securely packaged and with everything you see. Easily plugs into mains and connects via HDMI to the back of other computer monitor. Going between both screens is smooth but with slight input lag with first mouse click but it doesn’t bother me. Use it in portrait mode as a second monitor for my PC but due to it not being a Mac the touch screen doesn’t work. HDR works well, the colours are nice and crisp.

I have been looking for a decent portable monitor for a while, for use when I am away and also for giving a larger screen when connected to my phone (my work phone is a Huawei that has a desktop mode, like Samsung DEX). The only thing missing is a built-in battery, to make it truly portable.

The screen is a large bright TFT panel measuring 15.6″ and in a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1080p resolution. The body appears to be metal, and the front of the display is semi-matte which reduces reflections. It is like a large tablet in size. On each side there is a small speaker – don’t expect major quality though as they are fairly small, but they do the job.

Connections to the screen are via USB or mini-HDMI with USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to USB-C and full HDMI to mini-HDMI cables supplied in the box along with a power adapter. For most, you get everything needed supplied in the box. You need to connect USB to the screen as well as HDMI if you want to use the touchscreen functionality.

I have been impressed with how well the screen works and how bright it is. Having used portable screens in the past, I wasn’t expecting it to be a crisp and bright. The front of the screen being slightly matte helps with reflections, but I have found the screen is a fingerprint magnet when being used as a touchscreen.

Being critical, the only thing I do not like is the protection case/stand. This is connected to the screen using magnetism along the top. The problem is this is far too weak to be effective given the weight of the screen. I regularly find the screen comes away from the case when opening it. Also, the case is designed to be a stand but the ridges in the front where the screen should sit are shallow and again the screen slips out of them at the slightest touch.

All I need now is for other phone brands than Samsung and Huawei to make true desktop modes.

This is a nice portable monitor
It is a nice size screen

The monitor is well constructed, made from aluminum. It is lightweight & compact.

It has a touch screen that works pretty good.

At first glance, I didn’t think the cover that comes with it would stand up the device but how wrong I was because when you know how to prop it up, it stays up with no issues.

I like that there are several different options for using this machine.

When I plugged it into my Windows machine, the window came up without incident. I didn’t have to configure it at all.

The speaker works just fine. In fact, I noticed that when connected to my laptop, the touch screen monitor takes over the audio because there is no audio coming from my laptop as I’m playing back my video.

One of the issues I’m experiencing is that the cord is too short for me to place the monitor on the other side of my laptop. For instance, as a right-handed person, I’d like to have my actual laptop sitting directly in front of me with the monitor sitting to the right. However, the cords I need to plug in my device will not stretch that far over. Because my laptop does not have a USBC on both sides, I’m limited in my options.

Otherwise, I’d need to invest in another cable that is longer.

Nice Additional Monitor - Works Great!

Fantastic is the right and single word that best describes this product!
This is precisely the product I have been thinking of buying for a very long time, but the entry price was always an issue.
I am extremely happy with this product and its quality!
I am technically more efficient now than I was prior to this product as I work with data a lot, and this monitor is the right helping hand.
A number of things worth highlighting:
    – The build quality is amazing, it was made to last through times
    – The touchscreen feels great and very responsive.
    – The brightness is fabulous in this portable monitor, and so are the colors!
    – The magnetic case is very handy and so on point. It holds the monitor very well and the angle at which it stands is also really good!
    – The size of the monitor is great. It is bigger than my 13-inch mac :).
    – The connectivity speed is instant between the monitor and the mac.
    – The quality of the wires is also really good.
    – This portable monitor is very easy to set up, and use and pleasant to work with
    – It is portable! Unlike other monitors, portable monitors like this have an upper advantage over static monitors
    – You can mount this monitor horizontally or vertically.

This is a great product, 100 out of 10!

After trial and error I managed to connect this Wimaxit 15.6″ Full HD Portable Touch Screen Monitor to my laptop and enabled the touchscreen function.
To connect to the laptop to get the identical image, you need a HDMI cable.
Then to enable the TOUCHSCREEN function, you also need to connect the screen to the laptop with the USB-C / USB-C cable.
The touchscreen is responsive but the scrolling is a lot slower than my laptop.
The screen resolution and quality seems good, and it’s not difficult to change the brightness.
I would’ve liked this to be able to use on iPhone. I had USB-C to Lightning adapter so I connected the screen to my iPhone but it wasn’t recognised by the phone.

    In the box

    Monitor
Thin flexible plastic storage sleeve, can be bent to act as a stand.
    Wall plug with USB-A port
    HDMI to mini-HDMI cable
    USB-A to USB-C cable
    USB-C to USB-C cable

The monitor itself has two UCB-C input ports, a mini-HDMI port, and a Mini-UCB OTG port on the right side. On the left side is a power button, push/slider control for the menus (volume, brightness, etc), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

    What I like:
A wall plug-in adapter was provided, very surprising. Very nice for hooking up devices that do not supply power to the screen, such as through the HDMI port. Most portable monitor panels I have seen rely solely on the input device for power.

The speaker is surprisingly good. Now, it sounds a tad on the tinny side, but I found this to be better than I had expected. It’s by no means a super stereo experience, and it tended to clip out a little bit at high volume, but for such a small speaker, it performs well. I wouldn’t watch a loud action movie on these speakers, but they are definitely surprising.

The display itself is crisp and clear. On the initial plug-in, my laptop (running Windows 11) took only a few seconds to figure out what it was, and the screen came to life. No additional drivers were necessary. I ran it through several high-action movies, and the refresh rate seems very good, no noticeable delays or artifacts when the picture is quickly changing.

I played around a little bit with the touch screen, which seems reasonably responsive. Granted, I prefer a keyboard and mouse to using Windows over a touchscreen, but this would be nice to have when using smaller phones and/or tablets for the display.

I also found delightful that it has standard VESA 75x75mm mounting holes, so this can be mounted on a wall, a portable stand, anything that accommodates the mounting holes. Very nice addition. Again, none of the previous LCD panel monitors had this.

    What I don’t like:
The provided sleeve is not of any real protective value, as it has no padding. Also, the thin plastic will eventually rip and tear, becoming no use as a stand, not to mention a means of protection for the screen. My preference is for a basic, plastic positional tablet stand, and a more plush, laptop sleeve for protection. Those at least will offer some shock protection, as well as a stand that won’t wear out after a few dozen uses.

For settings, the monitor uses a dial rocker (up, down, and push in). I would personally prefer three buttons (one for menu/select, the others for up/down), but I understand that would take more space. It’s more of a personal dislike, but once you get the hang of it, it works well enough.

All in all, this is a great little monitor. The display is sharp, the response time good, and it’s easy to take with you when you need that second screen while on the go. I would definitely recommend this monitor.

After having used this for a week with my laptop (for work), Switch and retro game emulator I have to say this is a really excellent portable monitor.

Connection to a device (via included USB C or HDMI to mini HDMI cable) is an absolute doddle – simply plug and play. It is powered bu USB C to USB A which is also included as well as a UK plug adaptor (presumably a different adaptor will be supplied for other regions).

There are two buttons on the side – one of which is a rocker with press and up/down actions and these are used for configuration of brightness, volume, display etc and work well – though at first I wasn’t hugely impressed with the rocker but now I’m used to it, no problem.

It also comes with a cover which can be used for protection as well as a stand, meaning you don’t need to get a separate stand.

The size is the same as my laptop screen so having them side by side while working at home is a massive bonus and having a quick bit of gameplay in a break is an effortless switch of HDMI to device – absolutely perfect.

Very well built 15.6 inch portable monitor. It comes with a really nice quality magnetic portfolio cover/stand.
I use it without the sleeve and instead use a portable monitor stand. It also comes with a mini hdmi to hdmi cable, a usb c data/power cable, a usb c to usb a cable, with a power brick.

I wanted to test the touchscreen functionality of the screen, so I connected it via the usb c cable to my MacBook Pro.
The monitor was recognized immediately and worked well. Unfortunately the touch function did not work to scroll through a safari page.
The instructions said that you may need to power it via the other usb c port too. So I connected it using the usb c to usb a cable and the power block that was included.
    That did not work either.
The instructions book said to enable touch via menu.
There was no such option in the monitors menu.
I have been able to use some touch enabled portable monitors to scroll up and down safari web pages, but those were in a different price range.

I will try this monitor with my iPad Pro 12.9 to see if the touch function works with iOS which is a touch enabled operating system.

I plan to contact the vendor to check, if I received the wrong.
I will update the review after getting some clarification.

Considering the build quality, and the beautiful screen, I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a high quality portable monitor.

Excellent build quality with a really nice sleeve/stand. Couldn’t get the touch screen to work.

What a cool little gadget, and it is super easy to set up. In addition, it included the cables needed (including an HDMI cable).

My tests were done using an old 12″ MacBook and a new iPad mini 6. Let’s look at each. Note that some of the noted limitations are likely due to the host devices (the MacBook and the iPad).

Using the display with my MacBook
Setting up the display was beyond easy. All I had to do is plug a USB cable from the MacBook to the display. The MacBook powered the display, although I could have used the supplied power adapter. Initially, the unit mirrored the MacBook but with a little exploration of the MacBook’s settings, I was able to show two different desktops. The initial sound came from my MacBook, but a few clicks in the sound menu of the MacBook allowed sound to come from the display. Sound is adequate in a quiet room, but you would need to use headphones or some sort of external speaker if you needed more volume. Display brightness was adequate. The image looked sharp and crisp. When playing a video the voice was synced properly. It seemed like I was able to get some touch operation initially, but I lost that ability in later trials. I’m not sure why. However, this could likely be my fault.

Using the display with an iPad Mini 6 (this was the coolest)
The iPad Mini 6 has a USB C port and so I was curious if it would work with this display. It did! I was able to mirror the screen, but not have two different screens. This was still great as I went from a tiny screen to a large one. The display’s touch controls did not work with the Mini. I think both of these issues are due to the Mini and iOS, not the display. I maximized the volume control on the Mini before I plugged it in and because of this, I was able to get a louder volume on the display’s speakers. It would be loud enough for an average room, but still not enough for a noisy area. Here too, headphones or an external speaker would be the solution. When streaming video the audio was in sync. If I plugged the supply USB power adapter into USB C #1 and my iPad into USB C #2 I was able to get pass-through charging to the Mini.

One very cool thing that I did was to pair a folding Bluetooth keyboard to the Mini, which turned the tiny device into a productivity computer. iOS has all the basic office tools (Pages, Keynote, etc) and you also have creative tools, like the Photo app and iMovie. In this mode, I used my iPad as a visual touchpad to navigate around the display’s screen.

There is also an HDMI port allowing you to use devices that support this type of connection. All in a fun and useful display.

    Pretty cool

This is a good size at 15.6 inches as an extended display for a laptop or MacBook or as a portable display for a switch. The screen has a slightly ‘Matte’ finish which provides anti-glare and fingerprint-resistant properties.

The colour representation is good and brightness is acceptable but not mega-bright.

Power can be taken either from the host device or a separate power plug.

We’ve trialled it in all three of the arrangements listed above. In all connection arrangements, it has proven to be plug-and-play, the only issue we had was the laptop we were using did not recognise the device so could only provide a mirrored screen. The MacBook did pick it up so setting it as an extended display was no issue. The switch was connected via a portable dock.

If using a MacBook Air as we did you won’t have an HDMI port so a small USB c adapter is necessary.

There are VESA mount holes on the back for a bracket but we haven’t trialled this as of yet.

Great product, very versatile, highly recommended!

Wow! This is a really useful product!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great little portable monitor. It arrives with a nice case that acts as both a wallet-style case to protect it as well as a stand for when it’s in use. It has a slight magnetism to it so it holds nicely to the screen. The image quality is great as IPS screens usually are and being touch screen is, well, a nice touch. Setup on Windows is easy, basically plug and play other than having to go into the windows settings to switch to extend mode so it doesn’t just duplicate the main display. It can even be mounted to a VESA stand to really be used like any other monitor. Audio is lacking but it’s as thin as a tablet so you can’t expect much there really. It comes well packaged and contains all the cables you need. I do wish it used full-size HDMI rather than mini as it means I will now need to keep an adapter with it at all times.

I actually think this screen would be perfect for something like a Nintendo Switch, being able to pack this to take with you along with your switch if you’re going to be away for a few days will make for a great playing experience.

I was really hoping to use this with my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 which, when connected to a HDMI display, will automatically switch to the build-in DEX operating system and allow you to use your phone as a little computer with the screen. I was hoping to take the screen with me when I stay away from home but unfortunately so far I haven’t been able to get it to work. My phone detects that a display is connected but I cannot get anything to display. I have no problems using any other monitor. If I manage to get this working I will update the review to 5*.

This is a superb, very impressive (touch screen) monitor. The build quality is excellent, as is image quality and resolution. The in-built speakers provide reasonable sound, a bit tinny, as you’d expect, but perfectly acceptable, and decent volume.

This is very versatile, and can be used with absolutely everything I can think of, with a full HD display. This is ideal for games console, laptop, phone (but only type C ones) etc. I find this really useful for connecting to my phone (Samsung S20+), and it works exceptionally well, perfect in fact. My one concern, based upon one tried previously was touch screen sensitivity and response. Amazing, it’s extremely responsive without stutter when scrolling, and with no discernible latency, it really does replicate my phone fully!

So, quite apart from an additional (touchscreen) PC monitor and other applications, it effectively turns your phone into a tablet, which is great for travelling etc. A big advantage with that is that once you have this monitor, unlike a tablet, every time you upgrade your phone, it’s like having an upgraded tablet too, so saving lots of money in the long run, as well as it being really handy and convenient.

Not sure if there’s any way to cast the phone, I suspect that would be technically difficult because of touch screen functionality, but it’s simple and easy to connect anyway. Premium quality different connection type cables are included, which is a good. The monitor is USB C powered (PSU included), so no internal battery, but (realistically preferable anyway), you can easily use a powerbank if using on the go, as it were.

The monitor is decently weighty, substantial feeling, yet still slimline. This is in no way whatsoever flimsy — this is a real quality product. The screen has a tough matte (anti-glare) finish that is pretty finger print resistant, and easy to clean (cloth included).

Image reproduction is vivid, clear, and bright, with high brightness and contrast — no need to use this in a darkened room!.

The (magnetic) case is good quality, with 2 x position stand angling, which once correctly positioned stays secure. There is in addition, VESA mount threaded recessed holes ready for bracket mount if preferred.

Overall, this is a premium quality, superb and good value touch screen monitor product, that’s highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed.

I hope this has been helpful.

    Superb quality, highly responsive!

using as a larger screen for a screen deck, no latency when going through USB and although it does pass through power it’s not enough to stop the steam deck slowly loosing charge while playing a game so will still likely need a dock of some sort to deliver power to. although recent testing seems to be that using the Decks original power supply via the monitor does work better

*Well packaged in its box with added foam inserts, so no movement to avoid damage.

*The display looks amazing, great contrast and brightness .

*The magnetic case, is ok for keeping it covered but not so sturdy great as a prop stand.

*Volume isn’t very loud, its ok if there is no other noise going on around in the room but even at full volume the sound is underwhelming

I must admit to think my 2021 Windows 11 laptop gave out video from the USB-C port but that would not seem to be the case.

So to use this I needed two cables.
    1. The provided USB-C to USB-C cable from the screen to my laptop to work the touchscreen and power it.

    2. The provided HDMI Cable for video and sound.

And yes, that worked first time mirroring my laptop which is also 1920×1080

It also comes with a mains adapter USB-A output with cable to USB-C needed if your device can’t handle the load of the monitor.

Then I started to look for “Tablet Mode” in Windows 11 only to find out after a search that they have removed that feature leaving you only with the option of an onscreen keyboard (system, accessibility, Interaction, Keyboard, On Screen Keyboard).

Anyway, the touch screen works well as does the screen and audio from the small speakers on the left and right side.

Perhaps the provided cables could be longer and I tried using the USB3 port on my laptop rather than the USB-C to USB-C and with the HDMI cable it all still worked but had one item in the device manager saying it did not reset which I guess is because my laptop only has HDMI video.

The stand for the screen is much like the one most tablet computers have so it wraps it up and can angle the screen when in use.

The screen comes well packed and the instructions also are pretty clear on how to connect it up and change the screen settings should you require (it has onscreen menus).

    Works As Advertised

What a great bit of kit! Starting with the box which is top quality and makes this screen a great gift, then the screen itself is great, it looks and feels good quality and it comes with a wrap around protective cover which also doubles as a stand which is super useful if you are travelling or just want it set up in a way that’s not permanent. The cover is non slip and magnetic. As well as the cover there are three gold plated connection cables, a 240v plug a cleaning cloth and instructions.

Setting up was very easy and simple, I followed the instructions and it worked first time, I’ve never tried to set up a second screen on my laptop before and this part was much easier than I expected. Initially both screens showed the same thing which I didn’t want so after some you tubing I finally worked out how to get each screen to work separately, it was surprisingly easy to do this and now it’s all working exactly as I want along with the mouse running seamlessly between both screens.

The features on this screen are very good, the touch screen element is fantastic, I don’t have this on my laptop so it’s great to have it on the second screen. The picture is amazing, super clear and like looking through a window. The sound is ok, it’s good quality but with such small speakers it’s a kind of small noise like the sound that comes from my laptop, it’s not amazing but it’s better than average. I’d rather it was wireless but I wouldn’t be using this on the move, and it needs power to work so it’s not really an issue.

Overall I love it, it makes working on the laptop so much easier and takes away the need to use my phone as a second screen.

Has doubled the work I can do on my laptop

    * USB-Netzteil
    * USB-A auf USB-C Kabel zur Spannungsversorgung
    * USB-Netzteil
    * HDMI auf Mini-HDMI Kabel
    * USB-C Kabel zur Bild- und Tonbertragung
    * Mikrofasertuch
    * Mehrsprachige Bedienungsanleitung
    * Schutzhlle
