Fantastic little monitor. I’m using it in my motorhome to view my rear-view camera which is an AHD 1080p camera. The BNC on the monitor can’t handle AHD unfortuately but a converter plugged into the HDMI port is a great solution.
The picture quality is really good, build quality far better than any others that I’ve installed.
Software is fine, but you can’t flip/reverse/turn upside-down the image like you can on some other screens.
The stand is well designed and overall it’s a great looking thing, with the buttons hidden on the top (rather than on the front)

I’ve used WIMAXIT monitors before and Ican vouch for their quality and customer service. This small 8 inch monitor has all the features of the bigger versions, plus a few extra features due to its small size. The kit comes with everything you need, including a 12vDC power supply and some leads for connections.
The monitor does have an extra feature due to that diminutive size … the frame is all metal, screwed together and comes with a stand. It can also be mounted on a VESA plate for wall hanging. It also has a built in speaker for sound, a full range of controls via the menu and a wide selection of inputs.
Worth noting is that HDMI input is not micro or mini, it’s the standard size, as I show on my photos. The other WIMAXIT screen I use (17 inch) uses the mini HDMI input. The kit comes with this lead anyway, so you won’t be caught out.
As an auxiliary monitor, additional ‘data screen’ or security viewer, this is a very nice option if you don’t want a large screen on your desk. It’s a high resolution device that offers all the fetures of larger monitors at a fraction of the price and adds compact size as a feature. Well recommended.
The Wimaxit is an 8 inch CCTV monitor. Featuring 95% sRGB, 690nits of brightness and a plethora of connections -HDMI, VGA, AV, BNC and USB Input.
Advertised as 1280X720 this LED IPS display actually supports 1920×1080 with the 170 Degree View angle and features a pretty beefy built in speaker. Construction is top quality with a metal surround and a durable screen.
There are a collection of buttons along the top that are used to interact with the menus allowing for quite a bit of customisation, however, they will take some time to get used to.
The USB is handy for self powering items. Whilst the unit itself has a power adapter, the USB can be used to power a Chromecast or console or even a camera that is connected. Very useful.
The included stand is sturdy and useful, however, it would have been nice to have a more universal connector to attach the screen to other stands and mounts. There is a Vesa connection on the back for further mounting.
The 8inch screen is bright, detailed, well built and has an excellent viewing angle. Heartily recommended.
This monitor is small lightweight and compact and it’s perfect for me to put on my desk next to my monitors to view my cctv footage. It has a HDMI input for me to plug directly into my NVR or I can even use it with my rapsberry pi.
It can also be used with a ton of other devices such as xbox or playstation.
