I got this to replace my broken steamdeck charger and it works fine. No issues at all..
Easy to use and plug n play.
Work with the steam deck so seem to be okay
I use it as a replacement for the dock to recharge Nintendo for my kids when we are out and it recharges Nintendo quickly and effectively, it has great quality and the cable is big enough.
I’ve looked this 45W Charger for Steam Deck over before using and it certainly looks sturdy enough. It performs well on the steam dock and 3rd party docks too.
So it’s a good cheap alternative to an official dock power supply that you could use for travelling or powering a dock if you need to have it separate from the original supply.
Unfortunately i am not able to test with a Nintendo switch but i have tested with usbC Phones and a Steam Deck.
It works well, does a decent job of charging the deck while in use.
Its nice to have a spare charger so i can have one always attached to the dock by my TV.

At the current price of 17.99 it is of course a worth while purchase as a spare/replacement. The original steam deck charger is 25 so it is a good saving.

I had been wanting a second charger for my Nintendo Switch, as I have the main charger connected to the Switch dock in my living room, but I enjoy playing in my bedroom as well, so I go this charger so I can now use the switch and not run out of battery (without having to connect and disconnect cables every single time I move rooms).
The charger is really nice, the cable length of perfect for me, and it can be used straight up on your switch or connected to a dock. The shape is similar to the original Switch charger, and it charges you battery quickly (from almost empty it was fully charged in less than 2 hours).
Nice purchase and would highly recommend if looking for an USB-C charge
Great for use with my steam deck . Fits into case well
At first I was unsure about the cable being permanently connected to the charger, though now think it is a positive, no rooting about for the right connector. This charger delivers the amps advertised, a solid 3A at 5V, passed this test the flying colours. So far, I’ve charged a couple of phones and tried it powering an RPi 4B, no qualms recommending this charger/PSU. No doubts that this will power a Steam Desk with no problems.
The performance is equivalent to the official charger but comes with a much larger lead, so is much more useful than the official one.
A solid charger to use for my Nintendo switch. I tend to place these in different rooms to stop me from rummaging for the original. It looks and feels sturdy, well-built fit for purpose. Charges my Switch perfectly fine, for under 20 works well.
Ideal for my Switch but also works well for my Samsung and my Kindle.

This is a good little charger for your switch or steam deck. I put it to good use on my switch already and it allows the switch to display on the tv as it has enough volts for this. The quality is good, and the price is low. It is well worth the buy!

Being a 45w USB C charger, it’s useful for a number of applications.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. Using it for hours at a time plugged into a low power laptop and also my Switch, it’s been fine.
Build quality feels OK. The cable is on the thin side compared to say the Switch charger. So I’ll have to see how it stands up in the coming months and I’ll update the review if it prematurely breaks.
Fantastic versatile charger for multuple devices. I currently have it as my go to usbc charger and it lets me leave my steamdeck official charger plugged into the dock. So much easier. It takes around 2 hours to fully charge a steamdeck, and less for my switch. I have also used it with my laptop, and it worked(kind of). It basically kept it running but the charge was very slow.
Its strange that they say this wont work with the switch dock, as it does?. My switch charger, much like the steamdeck one, is kept in place anyway. But still, it was a cool test and interesting to know it does actually work.
20 is about the going rate so a decent price. The only ones ive seen for less are of a lower power and wont even charge a switch from dead ( this one does).
Got this as an extra charger for my Steam Deck so I don’t have to carry one from room to room.
The charger feels well made, certainly as good as others and has little flex or ‘creakiness’.
The cable is a good length so it can be plugged in at floor level and still comfortably reach your lap whilst playing.
For the price it’s about average I guess.Nothing outstanding, but it works well so what more could you ask for.
A straightforward 45W power supply, one mains plug and near enough 6ft of cable which is perfect for my Steam which charges up nicely at 45W. I do have other power supplies but they have those bricks in the middle which is beneficial if I’m sitting a distance away from my wall socket as I have the extra length, but for the dining room, I can sit in my sofa with this power supply plugged in, happy fays.
The quality of this power supply looks and feels well made, the cable length is plenty at 5.9ft, the outer sheath of the cable is finished in a soft silicon type material, the USB-C connection plug offers a firm connection.
Even though I’m primarily using this for my Steam I’ve also connected it to my Ipad 12.9″ and mobile phone, in both instances they charge up rather fast so this power supply is a jack of all trades.
During use this does get warm but never hot.
The charger has built in overheat, current, load and voltage protection to ensure your devices just charge up and not catch , the way I like it, not the part but the charging 🙂
Overall, at 17.99, it offers good value for money.

I wanted an extra charger for my iPad Pro and this plug is suitable for that.
It’s a 45W USB C sealed plug. The cable is attached and cannot be removed, is around 6 ft long with a velcro strap.
Overall, I’m very happy with this. When travelling I can leave my normal charger and take this one with me.
It works fine for my needs.
45W charger which is compatible with the steam deck and all of the nintendo switches. This ranging from the lite to the premium OLED version. The charger arrived smartly packaged and sort of looks similar to the original charger which comes with the device. Works well and charges just as quickly as the official one too! Comes with the UK plug fitting and overall a wonderful product! Set at a fair price for what you get, I would most definately buy again.
Does what it’s meant to do and does it well. I got this as a backup charger for my gen 1 Nintendo Switch to use when travelling. The wire is a decent length and my console charged well.
The charger arrives in a plain cardboard box with no logos which is fine. My console is well loved but that means the battery is worn down so I needed a good charger that worked and this fit the bill. I’m happy with it and I have no complaints.
This is a great type C charger. We use it for charging our Samsung phones as well as a high capacity power bank which manage to fully charge in about 6 hours.
It charges devices quickly, it feels robust and the cable is quite thick and seems durable.
It’s very handy to have a fast charger behind the sofa in the living room, a great product.
Having recently grabbed a steam deck (highly recommend btw!) I was a little miffed with the length of the included charger cable.
As always with these manufacturers they seem to think you sit next to a plug socket when playing…
Regardless, this cable is much better. At just under 2 meters long it’s been more than enough to charge while playing in Skyrim in bed!
Build qualities solid, cable feels fine. Overall a nice plug that provides ample charging to the deck even when playing games. 5*!
The plug itself looks sturdy and well made although I cannot test the power as it is not the correct plug for my country, unable to contact to resolve.
EDIT- Seller contacted me and resolved the issue very quick! I’ve been using the charger for around a month and no issues. Works great thanks.
This charger is quickly becoming my favourite charger for my devices. It fast charges an oled switch from 6 percent to 100 in about two hours. Same for the steam deck, which given the deck battery seems to only last 5 hours on a full charge, is an excellent upgrade to the official charger.
Worth noting that while this charger is not advertised to use with the switch dock, it does in fact work. The console plays fine and there is no graphical errors. I’m always in two minds about using 3rd party chargers with the dock as I always wonder if there is a risk to the dock or the switch itself. It does appear to be fine, so I suppose in a pinch or if you lose/ break your official charger – this could work as a spare.
Now for the price. At the time of writing the charger costs 20 — a fair chunk of money for a charger. That said it is not only compatible with a range of usb c part devices — it charges about 2-3 hours quicker than other basic chargers. I’ve ended up using this charger over the other device chargers — official and non official — for both switch and steam deck.
Overall an excellent product.
There’s 2 features about this cable- its long at 178cm and it’s claimed to be a fast charger with 45W.
The length is good and gives you more flexibility.
For me it was fast, it charged my iphone via a docking station to 70% in 1 hour.
Excellent charger that works equally well for both my Steam Deck and my Switch. Cosmetically it is exactly the same as the official charger, the same 5cm/2inch square black brick and the same length cable. I use it to power the Steam Deck on my dock and it works perfectly, which is handy because I can leave that plugged in all the time and still have a charger for my bedroom etc. If you are looking for a replacement Dock charger, or a spare like I was, then this is worth looking at seriously, especially since it’s basically exactly the same as the official one in almost every way, including build quality.
Having bought our little boy a Switch OLED for Christmas, I picked up a second dock to keep at his Nan and Grandad’s house to save me from having to disconnect the one from our house every time he visits them and I thought I would also get a second mains adapter to keep at their house as well.
This particular adapter from Steamhof seems nice and solid, with no creaks or flex in its plastic body.
There is a fixed cable that exits the rear of the charger, measuring approximately 170cm in length and it is fitted with a USB-C connector.
The charger has a maximum power output of 45W and supports the PD protocol, with the following outputs:
20v @ 2.25A
15v @ 3A
12v @ 3A
9v @3A
5v @ 3A

I haven’t yet tested the charger fully, as it’s for a Christmas present, but it looks and feels pretty decent and doesn’t give me any doubts, like some cheap chargers can do.
Being as it supports the PD protocol, this product can be used to charge many different devices, but being as it supports 15v @ 3A, it should power the switch when docked without any problems. I believe when undocked the Switch only draws 18w, but needs 39w or more when docked, or the ports and video output do not work.
I think the price is about average at 19.99, so a product worth considering should you need a second Switch adapter.
