.it love they ,mobility their aid to parents my for it got ,product Good
Exercise advantage is while you are sitting don’t require big extra space excelle
This purchase was to replace a product from another source some years ago which gave up the ghost after excessive use particularly during the Pandemic. Very happy with the produc
Only used 4 times and blew up while in use tryed to reach out to the company and no response hopefully no one was injuryed
Helps my elderly mum get some exercise whilst in her chair. It’s good to have the motor as she needs the extra help!
My nephew is in a wheelchair at the moment , and its doing a great job giving him some exercis
I bought it for my wife who has Parkinsons and it is excellent. It enables her to exercise both arm and leg muscles without having to exert herself because it is motorised There is a good range of speeds and it can be used while sitting watching the television. A longer cable would be helpful, or you may want an extension lead. If the straps on the pedals aren’t done up tightly they tend to come loose after a while.
Great quality and works really well. Instructions not so good but if you play around with the remote control, you will find that this machine has various programs that vary the speed and strength of the motor and includes a timer. Only downside is there is no memory so you cannot see your improvement over time.
The motorised feature is a definate advantage.
We use this article to get my husband back onto his feet and get his knees moving again after a severe stroke. His feet would not stay on the pedal and it needed additional straps to go around the back of the heels. We designed them ourselves and now the machine works satisfactorily. Recommend to supply additional straps for stroke patients.
This is great as I suffer with M.E and am very immobile so on a better day I can exercise my legs a bit as they are wasting away.
I need someone to put my feet in the pedals for me as they are a bit awkward.
The only slight bad thing with it is it moves across the floor as you use it so is best used against a wall or something that stops it moving forward.
Bought this for my grandparents who were getting weak legs after staying inside for so long during lockdown. Fair to say it has changed their life! They use it every day (for 3 months now) and say they can feel a difference in their legs. Only 4 stars as the velcro strap is too big/ not adjustable, but they use it without it on and works fine. My grandad is arthritic in his ankle and the angle of the strap + arthitus means he can’t use it for that long – still, it definitely helps!
The machine is well made and quiet if your a fit person it will be fine to exercise so not knocking the machine it is well-built and of good value.
My wife is wheelchair-bound and I wanted something that would do the work to exercise the legs without effort
The Machine is very good but I needed to add features to make it better to use… so these tips may help others who are perhaps disabled or having a simular difficulty
The Base rocks so I needed to add a platform to make it completely level when you’re using it
The next problem was keeping the feet in the pedal holders if you have no leg muscle power to maintain this then the feet slip out
SO I add some CROCS …the feet can fit into with a ridge at the heel to keep the feet secure
I admit it is not a professional job… but it was made to work … and it does 100 %
I used Stanley Glue sticks (Yellow) they are fixed good and well
Easy to put together, but was struggling screwing on the peddles. Electric cable is too small, an extension lead is needed before use.
Having had a recent knee replacement, this motorised pedal machine is perfect for my rehab.
Nice product and does help the only issue we have had is keeping it still. It wants to slide even on carpet. Apart from that no other issues with it.
Very compact. It was assembled quite easily. It moves about so need to have it placed against a solid background.Over
all good device
Product is sturdy and well made. For someone like myself with little muscle function this is ideal as my muscles get exercised but I am not exhausted after use. The only drawback is that I am having is getting the VAT element returned?
Easy to assembly, but it does move when you pedal faster… and the fact that the workout does last only up to 15 minutes can be a disadvantage for younger people, but you can restart it anytime the cord it’s a bit short, from the remote…the straps from the foot a but rigid in the beginning
Really useful with many programmable functions. The remote control cable could be a little longer and the feet bars as wide as the distance between the ends of the pedals as the machine tends to move at higher speeds.
I bought this to exercise when watching TV or reading a book. It can be a little squeaky at times and doesn’t have any resistance levels however it is otherwise a very good product.
Husband finds this very helpful, I need to be sitting on a high seat as my hip and knee hurt if too low. Early days, but definitely this at least makes my legs move, hoping it will help my osteoarthritis.
This is a neat little exerciser for legs and arms. I am unable to easily rotate my legs so this is ideal for me. It has 5 simple programmes and records time, theoretical distance and calories – theoretical because there is no resistance and so no actual ‘effort’ expended. I have found it helps my hips and gives a measure of gentle aerobic exercise for my legs – resulting in very much less swollen ankles. It is a very gentle ‘physiotherapy’. I have not used it for my arms yet. The down side is that it came with no clear instructions – I emailed the seller company and they sent me very precise instructions and information for each of the 5 programmes. The other seriously down side is that the electrical cord is far too short which limits where one can use it (especially if you had it on a table to exercise the arms). It appears to be a fairly robust machine. Mine was second hand and in reasonable condition.
With 12 speed settings, 1 minute to 15 minute work outs, 6 different modes and a forward / reverse pedalling motion this exercise bike lets me do a bit of pedalling at work whilst going about the day to day monotony of working with spreadsheets. On speed 12 over 60 minutes I can get around 6k on the counter, so that gives you some idea of the max speed of the machine. (Around 11k steps if you tuck a pedometer in your sock)
The control panel is on a slinky wire, so I set myself up and sit on the controller so I don’t have to bend down to extend the time as I like to do 60 minutes in one go.
I bought it to help me do a job and that’s exactly what it does. It allows me to move my legs somewhere where I wouldn’t normally be able to do it.
Bought this item for my husband to help him recuperate after knee replacement surgery. It has been a very wise investment and he is very pleased with it.
The only drawback he has found is because it is so lightweight it tends to move in use so he has to put something heavy behind it to stop this.
I had a little trouble connecting the left pedal. The rest was simple. The supplier was helpful and quickly I had a replacement.I am happy with this. One gets the gist of how to use it.The instructions a minimal. However, It’s easy to use and fun, and if you like to exercise and hate the gym, it’s a good way to do it.
This gentle exercise machine is just what my wife and I needed. I thought it was a lazy option to get a motorised exerciser but it invigorates leg muscles and circulation better than going for a walk. We both have severe back problems so sadly walking any distance causes spinal agony and fatigue. With this machine you can sit comfortably or even lie back and still get leg exercise. The hand-held timer/calorie-loss indicator/distance-recorder is useful. You can also switch-on/off from the hand-held controller. The machine has rubber-grips on the feet but even if it slips on carpet this can be overcome by placing a small non-slip mat underneath. Just right for rainy days when outside exercise is uncomfortable and dangerous.
I bought this for my mum for some light exercise. She had suffered a stroke and ‘lost’ the use down one side of her body, mainly her arm (unable to lift/use) and leg (can stand but difficulty walking). I thought something like this Motorised Pedal Exerciser may benefit her in some way and it has slightly helped in getting her to get some circulation going in her arm and leg. She thought the leg exercises were good and as it can be used on a table for the arms, she felt some discomfort at first but with regular use, it eased a bit.
Because it is as described, I can’t fault it much without a strenuous fitness program as such but it is an aid only but I did find that the motor was ‘underpowered’ slightly and was bought for light use only.
I ordered this back in October ’15 and gave the Pedal Exerciser some time and use before submitting a review and I would recommend it for those with arm and/or leg difficulities to aid the person in getting some movement/circulation (but I’m no doctor or anything!!) and have noticed that the price has dropped a few quid from what I paid.
This arrived today so I can only comment on ease of assembly & initial use at the moment. There is a small amount of assembly required to fit the stabilisers & pedals. Tools are provided (spanner & an allen key). Instructions are a little lacking & not entirely accurate but it’s not rocket science & was easy enough to sort out what went where. The pedals screw into the holders on the side (get the left & right the correct way round) & are further secured with a small screw. The fixing is totally secure & the pedals did not fall off during use. I have small feet and they fit into the straps at the smallest adjustment; I used it without any footwear and found the pedals to be comfortable. It was very stable & didn’t move or creep on the carpet. The cable is a tad on the short side, measuring about 5 feet, so you need to be fairly close to a socket outlet. There is a power switch on the front under the remote control & then a further On button on the remote. The remote worked perfectly well, giving the option to switch between speed, timing etc. I initially set the speed to level 2 & found this to be adequate. The timer defaults to 5 minutes (plenty to start with) but can be adjusted. The reverse function is useful as this exercises a different set of leg muscles. I purchased this to help with rehab of a knee sprain & to build the leg muscles to better support the knee. Obviously it’s too soon to know whether or not it will serve its intended purpose, but it seems well made & functioned well on the first two sessions.
Bought this to help my wife improve her walking. So far so good. Seems to do the job. Instructions are a bit sparse and I’m not sure if speed settings change the resistance of the machine. Velcro straps could do with being an inch longer. My wife has size 6 feet but they are swollen. She can’t use with her slippers and bare feet would be painful because of the construction in the pedals. The compromise is moccasins but she complains a bit about the pedals digging into her in-step.
The bike was delivered within a matter of days and I found it easy to assemble. A huge thank you to the seller, the first bike was replaced as it didn’t work properly, there was no fuss and the replacement was received in less than a week. I have used the bike twice since I bought it which is why I have only rated this 4 stars, it is easy to store away and an excellent form of exercise for my condition. I need help to lift my feet into the pedals due to my limited mobility and once the bike starts it is wonderful. I bought the bike to help with my rehabilitation as I am recovering from Transverse Myelitis and also to reduce the water retention in my legs and feet. My physiotherapist has advised me to use the reverse function to strengthen the muscles in the top of my legs. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Unfortunately, my first attempt at ordering the mini bike went slightly wrong. Although the money had been taken from my account and an email sent (apparently automatically), they had run out of stock. I had a phone call to let me know, and was very impressed with Mobility’s customer service. Even more so when I was telephoned less than a week later to let me know there was a bike in stock if I wanted it (Yes! They still had my money!). The bike arrived the next day, so great delivery in the end. All in all, the bike itself is exactly as described (although already made up, so didn’t have to fix any pedals etc.). I would say that this bike is ideal if, like me, you have had surgery (hip replacement), as it means I can exercise when the weather gets rough or I just want to exercise on dark evenings. Its gentle on the legs and can be set at speed settings that suit you (I warm up with 4 and move up to 6 or 7). Minus points: the timing setting. It stops at 5 minutes and you can’t set it for longer, so you have to set it all over again. I can understand they don’t want someone frail over doing it, but its still a nuisance! Be aware, there isn’t any resistance setting, so you won’t want this if you are ready for a proper gym bike, but its excellent for rehab or those who are more frail (especially as it turns the pedals for you). I think someone asked a question about whether it was suitable for those who have had a stroke, or have difficulty moving one leg, and I would say yes, its ideal. The last down side is the distance from pedals to the stand legs. I had trainers on originally (size 7 feet), and I slightly knocked against the top of the stand. If you have big feet, it might not give you enough clearance. Flatter shoes, or thick socks works though.
