Great bang for buck. Currently selling 6.75 for 12pk – I just don’t use enough of these to warrant the 100 pk which works out to an even better bargain – excellent all round value

5.0 out of 5 stars good bang for buck

Used for my chicken door, self timer. Lasted a very long time, battery life is good. Mind you the door I used these for was a roller door. So they performed fab.

I have bought these for the past few years now and can’t tell them apart for the leading brands in terms of their quality and durability. I have used them in everything from remote controls to toys to wireless alarm system to camera flash guns and they have been great. Excellent value.

We go through SO MANY batteries and I find these a good value. When I am not using these I’ll get Kirkland and I feel like the quality is about the same or pretty close. My kids have tons of toys plus we have a lot of battery operated portable lights. We lose electricity quite often due to severe power grid damage (thanks hurricanes) and have to rely on alternate light sources. Not to mention all the remote controllers. I recommend these for quality and value. Price per unit is unbeatable.

These batteries have all worked great and have decent life to them. Great value!

The Amazon brand batteries are better than the name brands. They last longer, are cheaper for more batteries, and they are delivered. With 2 little boys and all the toys that go along with them we are always in need of batteries. Since we bought this pack we have not had to go buy more.
It’s an easy call, get these. You will thank me later.

These AA batteries have been working as expected so far I have no issues with the cartridges. However, compared with the others in the market they don’t last as much as the other brands for the same price.

Benefit of buying these in bulk, is that you’ll never have to worry about making repeat trips to the store to buy new batteries. If you can even find batteries in stock anywhere these days, with all the supply chain issues. No, they won’t last as long as Energizers. Yes, they will last so much longer than your average generic battery found at Walmart or whatever dollar store sells them cheap. So what it boils down to, is that you’ll still save money in the end. Because they won’t last as long as the bigger name brands, but the cost means that you still come out ahead as far as how much life you get out of your electronics based on the number of batteries that you have available.

These work as well as name brand batteries in my opinion. I have purchase them several times with no issues.

These batteries are perfect for LED flashlights. They are powerful and I get a lot of bright white light out of my work light. I love the fact they come in bulk, I never worry about running out of batteries or light.

These have not been lasting as long as the Energizer and Duracell batteries we had been using. These do last for a while; it’s not like they quit after just a short time, but it is shorter than with the name brand batteries we usually use. It does make me wonder about the 10 year shelf life, but I obviously haven’t been able to test that yet. No problems with corrosion.

    I will upload some pictures.

But that’s JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.)

Don’t last as long as the name brands

I’m using these batteries in a few motion sensing night lights in a medium traffic area and after almost 3 months the light output is still good.

For low current draw devices these are good for like TV remotes and clocks.

Medium draw devices like modern toy RC vehicle controllers (that take 3 or 4 AA batteries) and wireless keyboards would be pretty good too.

High draw devices these batteries are not good. Trying them in my Windows Mixed Reality controllers which are known to not really work well with AA batteries it took about 2 hours for one of the controllers to the battery voltage went from a full 1.68v measured with the AA battery test (150mA +- 10% load) on the multimeter to 1.43v where it complains low charge.

These batteries are good for medium to low draw devices. But also consider that these devices often work well with rechargeable batteries without the worry of the chance of alkaline battery leaks.

Good for Medium to Low Current Draw Devices

Christmas is a battery zapper. I filled many toys and lights with these Amazon batteries. When put in the exact same candle, there was no difference in brightness with the name brand. It outlasted another generic brand, but was beat out by Duracell. They work well enough for what I need. Many times the batteries last longer than my kids have interest in the toy, so I have learned cheaper batteries are not always a bad thing. I used to find that the name brand batteries used to not explode as often, but no longer find that to be the case. I haven’t had one to be defective yet. I would recommend these batteries.

These are cheap AA batteries – They don’t have as good of amperage output as Duracell, but almost every electronic uses less than an Amp, the exception being things like stun-guns in short bursts.

None of the ones I received were ruptured, and they have long enough lifespan for me to recommend them for standard use. If you need high performance and the longest life, however, I think name-brand is still the way to go.

    Great Value

As anyone who has kids knows, we go through batteries so often, it is always good to have a large stash on hand. The batteries from Amazon Basics so far have done the job and are great for remote controls, toys, electronics, etc. They are packaged well and easy to take out a couple and then close the box back up to store. They fit with no issues and so far they have all worked right off the bat. They do not last quite as long as some other name brand batteries, but the price was right. Overall, they are great for anyone needing a lot of batteries!

    – i like these are Mercury and cadmium free
    – i used these with Christmas lights which needed AA batteries
    – comparative to other costly name brand batteries this was about 90% of the charge based upon usage with same Christmas light
    – price is reasonable for the number of batteries in this package

There are 3 boxes inside the box. You get 24 batteries in each box, total of 72 batteries. For $21, it is good value for the money.

The short answer, we found with our test, is these last about three days. This was three batteries powering a 4ft high battery powered Christmas tree. Now these are not rechargeable so you have to throw them away, but I think this was decent. It’s about the same length of time as another set of generic batteries we had in there before.
I can tell you with these, they have lasted three days, but they are still going. It’s just that the lights have obviously faded. I think that’s important to note because this was just our test. I’m thinking most people won’t be putting these in a tree, but it says a lot about how long these are going to last in a tv remote, for example. You can tell these will last a good long while.
So I can recommend these. The price is good considering the quantity and the quality is clearly there too.

These Amazon Basics AA batteries are high performance alkaline batteries that are a superior value with no loss of quality. I’ve been using these in my remote controls and they work great. While I can’t say exactly how long they’ll perform as they’ll be going strong long after this review, I’ve been buying Amazon Basics AAA and other size batteries and they generally perform better (or at least as well) than leading premium brands. So I don’t doubt that this AA size will perform well too.

This AA size is a common size convenient to keep on hand for TV remotes, gaming controllers, grooming devices, toys and more. It’s definitely a good size to have on hand for the holidays as it’s no fun when Santa forgets to include the batteries with the toys. These have a long 10-year shelf life (mine expire in 2031) so they aren’t going to expire before use, plus this 72-pack can be easily shared as it’s subdivided into 3 boxes inside the larger box. Amazon Basics is my brand of choice for batteries. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

I have used Amazon Brand batteries before, and they seem to last just as long as others I’ve bought, and even longer than many. This is an extra large package of 72 AA size that will go fast around here.
Though they are long lasting AND have a 10 year shelf life, the kid’s toys will run through them quickly. With twin boys that have battery powered everything, and are known to forget and leave toys on sometimes, which doesn’t help, this large pack is much needed and appreciated.
This pack of batteries will likely last us through 1/3 to 1/2 of this next year. It’s great to be able to buy such a large pack for such a great price. Definitely recommended!

I got these batteries for my kid’s toy. These toys eat batteries fast, so value pack is a good choice. Amazon Basics AA Alkaline Batteries works good as usual. No accident happened. May be not last long as famous brand on the market, but the price is lower.

Review for: Amazon Basics 72 Pack AA High-Performance Alkaline Batteries, 10-Year Shelf Life, Easy to Open Value Pack

These batteries are a really good value. They work as well as every other battery that I have used. They are also the correct size and that may seem a silly thing to say but I have had batteries that were just a tiny bit larger and would not physically fit into some battery compartments.

I like that they come broken down into 3 smaller boxes of 24 and within those boxes are packs of 6, making them easier to handle and store.

I have actually purchased the Amazon Basic brand batteries previously and really like them. They seem to last just as other brands we have tried in the past. My husband goes through batteries super fast with his gaming system, so love that they have the larger quantities on these. They work great and we will buy again and again as they are a great value.
