I had been looking for a small detailer and found the Andis D-8.
It is a pro instrument and can be zero-gapped; the blades are thin [compared to a full size beard trimmer and] are very sharp so, try before you adjust!

It fits the hand very neatly and is extremely efficient in use. I use this for trimming my moustache and around my mouth.

The detailer is 3cm across the cutting edge and in its general width and is 15.5 cm long. A very neat device. Run time is 2 hours. It comes with a charging stand or can be plugged straight into the mains and used whilst recharging [about 2 hours]. The plug is 3-pin and includes adapters for other countries. It is supplied with a small brush, a tube of oil, and four attachment combs.

Having read the reviews for other small detailers, this definitely comes out top for me. I recommend this highly.

This will cut like a razor! I use it for my head and beard and trust me it cuts everything. You only need 1 pass and it takes everything!

I’ve been looking for a decent trimmer for a while. I’ve tried a few out lately as I have a big beard!
Frustrations of being unable to trim my moustache with the other ones led me to try this. It’s pricy but first time using genuinely got me the results I’ve been looking for! Well balanced and sharp. Easy to use and looks great!

I liked everything very much. The husband uses it with pleasure, it turned out to be used even for washing (this is my first experience)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI use this mini clipper for work. It does a good job. So far so good. Only thing i don’t like is the plastic feel it has.

This is a great little trimmer. Perfect for line ups, once the blade is Zero gapped. Highly recommended!

It didn’t come 0 gapped but doing so was really simple. The blades stayed aligned even though I was using an electric screwdriver to tighten the screws. Doesn’t scratch when properly 0 gapped

Amazing piece of kit. Coming from someone who has tried many many trimmers, I wish I’d gone for this one first.

Better build quality than I expected. Well balanced, ergonomic shape and a brushed aluminium finish. Comes with every plug adapter you’d ever need.

It’s super sharp, which was the quality I was looking for most – however this was after zero gapping the blade. This is a very simple procedure that moves the blades closer together. You’ll find many tutorials online explaining the process.

Added bonus is the docking station and also the superb battery life attributed the the Lithium Ion battery.

I use this regularly for trimming and shaping my beard and it does so effortlessly which makes it a pleasure to use unlike many others I’ve tried.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI read so many reviews about this product before I bought it, but didn’t need to because I have had an Andis beard trimmer before in the 90s and lasted many years! I thought that very good but this one is from another planet. I am so impressed and can stop smiling! The best 75 I have spent so far and highly recommend it to the world. The delivery was even more superb and thank you seller!

Got this for my partner for Chistmas, was looking online for weeks and didnt know what trimmers to get as he uses it for a clean shave and sometimes for his hair. This was recommended by a barber beside my work and have to say I’m delighted I asked them!! The charge lasts for ages and works perfectly for a clean shave and to do his hair!! Very very happy with purchase!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLike most people I imagine I’ve tried several beard trimmers like the ones you see in most shops around the 20-30 mark but they don’t compare to the quality of trim that you get from these. They are significantly more expensive but if I add up what I’ve spent trying out other ones rather than just buying these in the first place it works out the same. I wish I’d just gone straight to these if I’d known about them. Recommendation from my barber.

Really good product. However, I dropped it and it doesn’t seem to be working now. No cutting and slightly louder noise. I can’t see any sign of damage though. Does anyone know how or where I could get this looked are and repaired?

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe UK plug adapter doesn’t work, well for me it didn’t. Had to buy a convertor plug and use the 2 pin plug instead – which was annoying – Reason for the 4 Stars.

My brother has the same trimmer so I know its good trimmer.

You can Zero gap it, (YouTube Tutorial), however I recommend not to as its very sharp. Perfect for making beard lines etc.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery happy with this trimmer. I zero-gapped it prior to using, and its now very sharp and cuts very close.

I use it to bald out the back & sides of my head when cutting hair, and also to line up the beard. Perfect for getting sharp crispy lines and detailing.

Very happy with the purchase, battery life is brilliant and if oiled regularly, seems like it will last me a long time.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf you want a cordless trimmer that thinks it’s a clippers, get this.I primarily use this trimmer for a full head shave. It powers through hair. It’s light. It charges quickly. The only negative is the blade is quite narrow, so a full shave takes a bit longer than a clipper. But it’s ease of use outweighs that. I’ve owned a Wahl baldfader, good but too awkward to use when trying to cut your own hair. A babyliss super motor trimmer, blades too soft, the shave is average, and numerous other trimmers/clippers. This trimmer is by far the best I’ve used. Once zero gapped, it cuts very very close. Well done andis

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve always used Wahl trimmers but this product is used by pro barbers for a reason. They are strong, durable and very very sharp. The charge lasts a long time and they can be used with the cord attached too. Built to last and i am very happy with them. The numerous pro barber reviews are all justified.

I have spent many years buying sub standard prodcuts for half the cost for them to be no good including top brands , this is by far the best i have ever used also used and recomened by sevral babers in my home town and is does the job well , you will have to zero in the blade but a 60 second turorial will show you how

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersWhen my last trimmer died I scoured around looking for a replacement, when a hair stylist recommended this the: Andis Slimline Pro Li, however at first I was reluctant due to the price tag & the fact I’ve always been a Wahl man, however after reading some reviews which were hit & miss I decided to make the leap an bagged this for just 61.00. I’d say my first thought were damn it it’s got an American plug, however after I looked into the mix more it had several plug adapters which I’ve never seen that in a product before…the trimmer is sleek & very lightweight, & fits beautifully in the hand, which feels absolutely amazing. Another thing that struck me was how quiet it is, which is very rare for cordless trimmers as a rule. It’s got 4 attachment combs, 1.5mm, 3mm, 6mm, & 9mm

You have to charge the unit, for about 2 hours when first purchased, & it stated you get 2 hours trimming time, I’ve actually got about 2 1/2 trimming time, but the average it states is 2hrs.

This trimmer doesn’t come zero gapped but it’s really simple to do for a closer cut for close up work, & detailing you may want to do that if you want a closer cut, but that’s optional. I’ve never had a T-blade trimmer before so I’m new to that, but so far I like it, especially for trimming the moustache area. Now for the trimming itself-it trims really smoothly, unlike most trimmed which can snag here & there I never got that at all with this trimmer, it gave a nice smooth & even trim without snagging or tangling, & is fantastic for egging & shaping for sharp lines.

I’d say my main gripes are the fact it’s not got a storage case, probably because it’s got a charging dock so the manufacturer assumes you will just put it in the dock. Also it’s pity there’s not a few more comb attachments, maybe a 2mm, & 4mm would have been good. However, that’s not 2 big of a deal, but I’d of liked a storage case for the price you pay, but these 2 things are my main gripe.

All in all I’m really pleased with this trimmer, & I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do some home grooming instead of going to the salon, or just trimming & lining your bread up, this is definitely ideal for that.

5.0 out of 5 stars I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TRIMMER!

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersBought this as a home use shaver. Love it, I’m the kind of guy who can’t use a usual razer. Got very thick hair like an real Arab as I am, always get those ingrown hairs. Pain in the **. Have bought a couple of shavers that would promise the nessesary power to do the weekly job done. Latest disappointing product, to mention one. Was that philip’s vacuum shaver, its very underpowered and very unpractical if u ask me. This one got everything I wish for, very powerful, quiet, light and small, beautiful, quality, very good battery time, very close and even shave (adjustable), very sharp blades, T blade, a neat stand with a charger. This is as I know a professional tool, and that’s the feel of it! U can get other blades easily and probably other types of blades. I’m a craftsman, tools are my daily bases. U want the right tool for the job. And this is it for me. The brushed plastic on it is very impressive, it almost feels like aluminum and it feels good in the hand. Can’t wish for anthing else! *Except for a small thing, if u change blade or adjust it, the first screws doesn’t have the best threads so be careful. It looks like u can change that part in worst case.
