Excellent piece of kit for my tiny kitchen. Took a little time to get used to the rapid heat up, & functions. Sleek & trendy. Ver easy to clean. Versatile functions. You must use induction cookware, as other types are not suitable. Very happy with this mobile hob, by far the best I have used.
Still getting to grips with it, but i’m pretty sure it’s cheaper than my previous electric double hob. That took ages to reach temperature even when pouring water from a boiiling kettle into the saucepan (pasta etc.) I do like that it’s a clean looking surface, i’m using those magnetic sheets on it, so it is super easy to clean any spills, although i suspect it’s easy to keep clean without them. All in all, i’m very pleased with this purchase. Good price too.
Great portable induction hob, bought one to use temporarily while renovating our kitchen. And liked it so much we have bought a second one for flexibility and adding capacity when friends & family visiting. Easy to use, cook with either function of temperature or power control, and also a timer function which is really useful.
Very chic indeed. Just need to see how long it lasts from this to me unknown brand. (I have had two Tefal hobs from Amazon and both gave up dead on the year, so we’ll just have to see. )
First impressions very good, great options & heat control.
Temperature control is nice for simmering stews or boiling pasta. Its a bit awkward for pancakes and grilled cheese, it spots a temperature dip and turns the power up if the pan isn’t really hot to begin with. Second side or second crepe works better.
Would be nice if it came on in the last mode it was in (temperature instead of power), and had 10C not 20C steps That said it’s so much better than anything I’ve ever had before. I don’t understand why anyone would use fitted tops that don’t do any of this when these exist.
I replaced my cooker with this and a toaster oven and it’s perfect for me.
The actual product is very good, but it should have been inspected properly, before being despatched. The plug was broken. In this case I replaced it, but not everyone can do that. Overall, up to now, apart from the plug, It’s probably the best hotplate I’ve had, and I would definitely recommend this product.
The ceramic glass material of the induction cooker not only contributes to its sleek appearance but also makes cleaning a breeze after each use. The cooker heats up rapidly and distributes heat evenly, ensuring that my meals are cooked to perfection.
The left ring is the most powerful with a Max power output of 1800W and the right ring goes up to 1000W. Max power of the device is 2800W.
Overall a great quality device at a fair price.
I love this; its so easy to use and I was amazed just how quickly it takes to heat things up. Both hobs are independent of each other. I did go on to you-tube to get a clearer picture of how to use it and now I am an expert! So simple to use. To check if your pans are compatible, just take a fridge magnet and if it sticks to it, then your pan is ok – simple as that. I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it.
Good for everything.
Highly recommended
Good customer service.
Thank you to the seller and Amazo
Like electric because it’s cheaper. This double-ring cooker provides for anything you could prepare on fast-acting, easy-to-clean easy-to-use substitute cooker. With functions such as:-keep warm, many others, we now use this instead of our recently installed gas cooker.
I now firmly believe this will change kitchen designers’ ideas on the way in which kitchens are designed.
I bought this to replace my gas hub. The idea is to save money on electricity.
Bought as a stop gap when we didnt have a cooker. Its so fast to heat water, seems efficient.
As others have said, its hard to simmer, but there is a way if you play with the function and change it from power to the other setting.
Strongly recommend.
Instant heat is wonderful in these days of high cost electricity. Was already a fan of induction hobs but this is a good example.
It’s a wonderful cooker! We actually got it from John Lewis with a little lower price, but I think it’s sold out there now. It’s a lot quicker to cook everything than a gas cooker and saves energy costs. No risks for burns etc. due to induction technology and wouldn’t start working unless you place a pot/pan on it which is another safety feature. Stylish and easy to move. We have just used it for a hot pot meal on the dinner table (using an extension cord) and it worked very well. Keep warm function is extremely useful too. Very happy overall with this fantastic hob.
Best hob ever. Can’t imagine ever being without it now.
We bought this induction hob as trail to see if induction cooking was a good as people and before we fitted a permanent induction hob in our kitchen.
All I can say is cooking on an induction hob surpasses all expectations super fast and controllable.
And here lies the “but”
As soon as you touch the on button it starts to cook at full power and full temperature by the time you have adjusted the power and temp setting some foods is already steaming.
Would have been a great product if you had the option to adjust the settings before before the food started cooking
Edit: after sales customer service have been excellent, great communication and replacement sent promptly. Only used hob a little due to waiting for new saucepans, but so far very happy with it.
It was clear from the excess tape on the box it had been opened before. Upon opening it was obvious the plug was cracked and broken, when removed from the box it still had the previous returns note attached to the plastic bag. Returned done immediately!
We had a problem with the first hob delivered after a couple of months. However, a replacement was sent very quickly, and the customer service was excellent in dealing with this problem. So far the second hob is working fine.
During the hot summer months we turn off the AGA and we now use the internal Portable
Hob in conjunction with the outside barbecue.
– When it starts up, it says “Lo”. That means there is power, and the plates are off (Not on a Low Setting). That takes a bit of getting used to. I wish it just said “Off”
– Everything setting adjustment is a beep. So, if I want to set the timer for 20 minutes, that’s 20 beeps. That’s really annoying (and that’s why it loses one star).
Easy to clean. Very efficient use of electricity. Very fast to heat up liquids. The only downside was it was very difficult to get temperature correct for simmering. Will either boil over or go off boil unless it is constantly monitored and adjusted.
We find it a very good and useful piece of kitchen equipment.
Have used this for 3 months now – got used to the temperature control and have to say it is great. We are full timing in our motorhome and this is one of the best accessories we have purchased.
2 full size hob will fit large cooking pot, will only work with metal where magnet will stick to, most will have 3 wave lines on the bottom of the pan. There is no fire and the glass is cool to touch except immediate area where the pot is in contact while in use.
From cold to heat up ready to cook take less than a minute, faster than normal home gas stove and much faster than any portable gas stove. The Left hob is 1800W and the right hob is 1000w, plenty of power to cook and had function to keep food warm.
There are 2 fans on the bottom of the stove to keep the internal running cool, it does make noise but not noticable over other noise such as extract fan which is much louder. Great for cooking at table or use as keeping food warm.
This is highly efficient cooking. You can simmer food, keep it warm – or even char grill it on a pan. This is also safer than having gas/fire in the house. Because it’s magnetic cooking – if you accidently touch the plate (assuming there was nothing else cooking on it first) – you wont even get burnt!
Have used it for about a month and thus far its working great (don’t know how long it will last – hopefully forever!). I would recommend this product. 🙂
Likes:
++ Independent burners with own power switch, controls, and timer.
++ Visually stunning.
++ Glass-covered touch controls.
+ Easy to clean.
+ Burners have different wattages.
Dislikes:
– – Temperature defaults to 240C, which is HOT.
– – Temperature increments (20C) much too coarse – especially near boiling point.
Specifically, the unit needs a 90 (or slow simmer) setting or button.
– Change of function reverts to default setting (ie, no function ‘memory’).
– Surface shows every fingerprint and remnant of grease.
Temperature/Wattage functions appear to be mutually exclusive, which means that you can’t set temperature to 100C _AND_ wattage to 500, as you might like to for a slow cook.
Luckily, I also own a Nu-Wave PIC Gold which allows me to do exactly that, and has 5C temperature control; so I can use that for the stuff that needs careful or slow cooking, and the Aobosi for my everyday frying and boiling.
It was the start of lock down and we live in an area with no gas and have an electric induction hob built in to the kitchen. It was going to be hundreds of pounds to repair or thousands of pounds to replace the 11 year old Range so whilst a decision was made and with a 3-5 months waiting list for repair or reinstallation we needed to be able to eat!
We spent days looking at reviews and options and after much discussion went out on a limb due mostly to reviews and bought a brand we had literally never heard of. We are very glad we did as the product has been in use multiple times a day since the beginning of the year and we have had not one single issue with it. If we had to find any complaints it would be that the settings are not granular enough when it comes to adjust temperature or power but to be fair that is in common with the vast majority of induction products that use digital increments.
The product itself however is sturdy, thus far reliable an easy to clean. All of which are hugely important for a cooking product. I know many people choose this product for boats, caravans and other temporary locations however the reality is that if it is good enough to be used as at the household main cooker for a busy and full family used many times every single day for months on end and temporary use will be easily coped with and the fact that it can be used so heavily implies that if used on a temporary basis then it should have excellent longevity.
Happy cooking with this great product.
I will add that the first unit we received developed a problem but the customer service team at Aobosi were excellent and a new unit was delivered promptly.
before so I was expected some sort of redness to indicate it was heating up.Not with this item.Initially I thought it war broken but i left it and magically the water started to boil and in an acceptable time. There was no visible signs of heat (as with infrared) and no heat round the base). The heat seems to be directed directly into the pan.Now this heats up food /water very quicly and a you can control the temp easily. At a low level one click seems to take the the heat from visible simmer to off.Not so the heat is still ther and continues to cook.I tried this out on rice and it worked very well.I have not even used the higher level plate.I have found that if you experiment with the power level and temp level you will find your level of cooking.I bought this to replace a single hotplate I wasn’t sure but now I’m glad I did So far a great purchase
The lowest 3 temperature settings are 60, 80, 100 Celsius ( I do not know how much of an approximation to actual temperatures that is ) . There is a significant jump in heat effect between 80 and 100. It is not impossible to work with, but I would have preferred a finer level of heat control at that point ( to get the sizzling levels just right ).
There is a groove between the hobs and the control surface where the parts connect. This is a place where dirt can accumulate and is not so easy to wipe away with a cloth. On that point it is certainly harder to clean than hobs which are made from a single glass panel. It is easy to clean, but you might be disappointed if you are expecting outstanding performance.
When plugged in and the hob is switched off, the on/off buttons flash and the display says ‘Lo’. I do not know if it supposed to do that and there is no mention of it in the user guide. In either case, I would prefer it if the LEDs were not always on.
There is a cooling fan built into it which operates while the hob is in use. It creates a very noticeable noise. The noise is not unpleasant to my ears, but might irritate some users.
I have not been using it for long so can make no comment regarding its durability.
