Easy to read, comfortable on the wrist and a cool addition of solar power as a talking point. Really enjoying this watch!
Had it for more than a week now and found it to be exceptionally accurate.
COULD NOT GET ON WITH JEWELLERY CLASP IT LET THE WATCH DOWN
Easy to read, accurate and stylish, I am very pleased with my purchase.
Minute hand very thin sometimes confusing with second hand.
Nice looking watch & very accurate.
This is the 2nd Bering Solar watch that I have perched. The main things are not very deep, not to wide and has a good safety lock. Once a week I wash it in soapy water and leave it to Dry and Charge in the sunlight, I do not think that it requires changing but it’s a good way to dry. The first Solar is away in its box as a standby. I just Love Solar products.
Smart, modern but discrete and understated. No bling here! So light and comfortable you forget you’re wearing it, and because it’s so slim it doesn’t interfere with shirt cuffs etc. For the price (I think I only paid about 100) the quality is superb! To get sapphire crystal glass at this price point is a real bonus and after over a year of daily wear it looks like new. An absolute bargain! If I had to be ultra picky, it’s a shame you can’t read the lume in the dark.
An extremely elegant watch with a very comfortable metal wristband.
In daylight the time is easy to read from every angle
The illumination is unfortunately very weak and is almost impossible to read in low light.
Everything seems to be very well made and looks like it will last for many years.
I wish the hands were more prominent with extra illumination.
That said it is a wonderful looking watch and I’d easily recommend it.
This is a classy, high quality watch. Originally listed as a woman’s watch but now correctly as a Man’s watch. For those who complain about the clasp – please read the instructions or look at the on-line video. Once you do this then it really is no problem. Love the fact that the face is less prone to scratches than many other watches.
After buying a few Bering watches over the years for my husband. The idea of a solar powered one was just too good a chance to miss. The watch has a lovely, clear face and an easy to read date. The strap is smooth and comfortable to wear. Best of all….. a scratch resistant face and solar powered so no batteries to replace.
If it’s reliable after 4 years or so then it’s a great watch. Strap IS adjustable to much smaller sizes contrary to other reviews! read the instructions?
Only downside is the glass seems to pick up greasy marks more than my other watches, Not sure why this is.
I bought this after my Seiko of 20 years strap finally died with its battery.. I wanted a robust scrub clean strap and easy to clean watch I bought this one.
So after 1 month how is it.
The answer is very good. I googled instructions to reduce the strap catch (I have very small wrists, some reviews have complained) a very clear Utube vid 30seconds told me all I needed to know. I now have a very well fitting watch that looks very good works well and fits well.
So overall very happy with this it looks v good for the money
I like this watch a lot, so comfortable to wear, it looks good, it keeps time spot on and best of all it does not need batteries, what’s not to like?. Some have said that the minute hand is hard to read, but personally i do not find it an issue and i love the orange second hand. The secondary clasp on the bracelet it a nice touch, adds reassurance for me. All in all a nice classy watch at a very reasonable price.
Found this product to be all that the Pictures in the advert instilled in me. Before buying I had my doubts, size to large? height to deep? people talk about the clasp? Next are the things that I found, my wrist is small only 19cm but the size is fine any larger than 40mm size and that would be to much. Height at 9mm deep it looks good on my wrist, looking about 5mm. “Clasp”, now this was the first time that I have used this type and I to was trying to understand how it worked? Have a look at http://www.beringtime.com, “go to your watch”, scroll down to Videos, #1= See how to Adjust, #2= See how to Fasten. On seeing the videos it was a breeze to adjust and now ware. Overall I am well HAPPY with the product, it looks and feels like a good dress watch. Well made with good component’s.
This is a lovely slim watch with easy to read face. The only negative for some is in poor light of darkness you cannot see or read the time as the hands are black against the day grey face. The hands although have luminescent hands they don’t really. The fact no battery changes are required makes this a super choice.
As smart as the pictures, reasonable weight, quality strap – easy to adjust, double locking clasp.
The hands are a bit dark in dull light, not easy to distinguish between minute and hour.
But overall I am very pleased.
This watch is a neat, no nonsense, easy to read classy looking watch. The stainless steel mesh strap is easy the adjust and the locking arrangement makes it secure. No need to change the battery, it is solar powered requiring only limited light to keep it going. Battery lasts around 6 months if left in a dark drawer.
The slim case means that it doesn’t look bulky on a smaller wrist. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Looks great, keeps excellent time, BUT beware the strap. The strap looks great but within 6 weeks the stap started to wear badly and had a sharp piece of metal sticking out. Great watch but let down badly by a rubbish strap.
The main plus point is that the watch is really stylish watch and looks great on my small wrists
The downside is that the minute hand is not easy to see.
The biggest disappointment is that the watch hands aren’t luminous in the dark
Good looking watch, very versatile, it can be worn casual or formal. I love it. I was lucky to purchase it when it was only 100… Just seen they put the price up to 169…a bit cheeky
Second try after receiving an empty box! Lovely watch, very well made. Just like the illustrations.
All very good, just needs charging.
Nice setting action and easy to size bracelet, took a couple of minutes and no tools.
This watch is great, slightly thicker than i was expecting but looks much slimmer when worn (I have skinny wrists). The face is easy to read and the design goes well with lots of outfits, and tge solat recharging works really well!
The watch is beautiful, clear and easy to read. I find it a smart elegant but different style, modern but a classy timeless look. No negatives at all for me. The strap is infinitely adjustable so you can get it absolutely spot on. A great watch and being Solar no faffing with batteries.
Had it for a week now and I’m very happy with it. The strap is easily adjustable, the watch is just the right weight and has the understated elegant look I was looking for.
The fact that it is solar powered just knocks the ball out of the park for this watch.
It is a good looking watch. It keeps perfect time. The strap is easily adjustable to the nearest millimetre if you wish. It moulds perfectly to the wrist. The only complaint – true of most Bering watches – is that the hands are so elegantly slim that they are hard to see in gloomy light and the luminous strip on them is too narrow to see in anything but pitch black darkness. Neither are deal-breakers for me.
Fabulous purchase, Great style, well made and feels great on the wrist. Love it and will no doubt purchase another Bering Watch when the mood takes me. I haven’t any negatives about this, unless of course if I wanted to swim in it as it’s only certified to 50 meters, but I like keeping dry so all is good.
I was a little worried. It is a man’s watch and I’m a size 8,small framed woman, so would the strap fit? Would the watch face look good? No need to worry. A great fit. A beautiful watch! So comfortable I sleep in it. The hands and 12,3,6,9 illuminate really clearly at night. A very satisfied customer! Totally recommend
Great looking watch, it’s easy to adjust the strap length, despite other reviews saying otherwise; I was not happy about the absence of a Guarantee Certificate, as required according to the enclosed instruction in order to validate the three year warranty that Bering offer. I returned the watch consequently for full refund and bought it elsewhere for the same price, but with FOUR year warranty!
Great looking watch and easy to read during the day. At night the very thin minute hand make it hard to read but i dont really mind. The solar seems to works well which means i will never have to open it up and impact the waterprove nature. 5atm resistance is fine for showering. The shape gives the cleaver illusion of looking thin. All stainless steel but still very light.
his is a nicely made, good quality watch that looks smart on the wrist. However, probably due to the metal strap it is heavier than i had expected. Also if you have thin wrists [as i do] the strap cannot be sufficienty shortened to make a snug fit on the wrist. The manufacturer[Bering] say this type of strap cannot be shortened. So it is a bit loose on the wrist [like the picture shown with it on the wrist/arm] when worn,. In consequence it ‘moves around’ somewhat and with its weight makes you conscious of wearing it especially if you are, say dancing or doing some similar hand movements.
I was looking for a Solar watch and having looked around I actually spotted this in an old local jewellers and thought the design and colour were just what I was looking for but I bought it cheaper on Amazon…
When you first try to fit it ..it will be a bit stiff to open and close and once you work out the Millanese bracelet and they way to size it ..it works very well indeed and feels very secure..Practice will make perfect to fit it on your own wrist..It looks fab on the wrist and although the thickness is 9mm it doesn’t show it once on the wrist because it nuzzles into the skin..I have worn it for 8 hours and it never makes my wrist sweat in any way, unlike some straps I have worn..It also (So Far) keeps very good time even to the second set by my radio clock..Excuse the pun..but only time will tell if it will last, as in keeping time once it’s put in my watch box..They say 6 months in the instructions without light…I’ll put that to the test and maybe report back…Great stylish watch and very comfy..Cheers
P.S….had the watch over 12 months now and it still keeps superb time (gained one second in 12 months)… Plus…the watch has really only seen real daylight 6 times and its still running flawlessly..Get one..you won’t regret it..cheers
Had this watch for 6 months now and I’m very pleased with it. Keeps very accurate time and is wearing well for everyday use. The extra strength clock face glass shows no signs of any scratches. It’s very well made and sits nicely on my wrist due to it’s slim design). My only ‘criticism’ is that the luminous hands and clock face markings are not very bright in the dark and the luminosity doesn’t last very long (a couple of hours maybe). However, this doesn’t really retract from this being a very well made, good looking and accurate man’s watch.
A bit larger than expected, but acceptable. Its about time that watch makers worked out how to sync the date window with the time, to change at midnight rather than all times of night or day. Proof of purchase is required if the purchaser needs to return the item under the guarantee terms. However the seller did not enclose an invoice which may lead to problems and did not stamp the form included on the operations instruction leaflet. This may cause problems in the event of a repair? replacement.
Apart from this, the watch works perfectly, and I am very satisfied with the service.
