Really quite blown away by this for the price – I didn’t expect it to be as well made as it is. If this was a leatherman-branded product that I paid 100+ for then I wouldn’t have batted an eye. Pretty faultless
This is a good quality multitool at an affordable price.
Well made, heavey & solid construction with a good array of tools & sturdy locking mechanism.
A good sturdy multi pocket tool that if lost or broken will not cost a fortune to replace . the only down side is there is no lanyard attachment ring , other than that very pleased with my purchase .
Very sturdy and appears to be good quality steel, not too heavy, has a robust chunky feel and is comfortable in the hand.
pliers are excellent with no play that cut and grip very well. The main blade out of the box was honestly razor-sharp! The saw is also lethal, all the other tools are spot on.
Incredible for the money, at this price its a no brainer!
I’m very pleased with this tool overall. It seems well constructed, the tools all feel secure. The blades are very sharp and lock securely. The pliers have worked well when I’ve used them, as have the wire snips (on light wire and cable ties). It’s nice and compact when closed, (10.5cm x 4cm x 2.3cm). I’d say the only downside is that you can’t leave one of the screwdriver bits in the holder and still close it. Be aware that the locking knife blade makes this technically illegal to carry in public “without a good reason”, although the blade is a legal length.
Very useful, sturdy and practical multi-tool. Excellent value for money especially compared to more expensive, but not obviously better, competitor products.
I stayed clear of these due to the price could only be cheap rubbish that was until I started watching some multi tool reviews on Youtube they all raved about Bibury so why not take a chance.
Fantastic tool Ok it’s not a Leatherman but it is a fraction of the price and for that money you get a hell of a tool.
I look forward to using and abusing it I know just from the build quality it’s going to last.
Better quality than I expected for the price. All the knives and tools lock and there’s a button to unlock and fold back. The main knife is very sharp and it cut through cardboard with ease. The pliers are spring loaded and the tip closes together flush for precise gripping. The wire cutters are also flush and precise. Feels sturdy and well made. Quite weighty at 330g (395 with case), compared with just 186g for my Leatherman Juice XE6, but that’s because the knives are bigger. Only other drawback is that you can’t keep a driver bit in the driver socket as it won’t fold up with one in it. So you kinda need to keep the tool with the sheath to be able to use all the tools. Also no scissors, but no big deal as the knife usually is good enough. There is a little bit of play with the knives on the locking mechanism but nothing worrisome. Feels okay opening and closing and you can open blades one handed which you can’t do with my Leatherman. Overall great value, time will tell whether it lasts as well as my roughly 12 year old Leatherman.
I had lost a Leather an and can’t afford to replace it. This looked very good value and IF it matches it’s predecessor for strength and durability it will be a fantastic bargain. The separate screwdriver feature looks good, if they are strong enough. I have only used the pliers so far, and they gripped extremely well in a precision application. Only experience and time will tell how good the tool is overall.
Well built ,not used as yet, time will tell, value for money can’t fault !!
I usually buy leatherman or gerbers fur nearly 200,but this tool is quality.the blage needs sharpened, but it is a sturdy, quality tool.i highly recommend it for a cheaper and in my opinion just as good of a tool as the top brand names.cheers.mark.
I should caveat this review by saying I haven’t had this long so I don’t know how long it will last.
However, I’ve been using tools for more than 50 years and I know a solid tool when I see one. I also have a Leatherman multitool that cost 5 times what this cost. I’d say this is better in some ways. It’s solid and well-made and feels really robust. It’s also got a great range of tools. I love the spring-loaded pliers and there is a useful range of other tools, especially since it has a socket holder.
The tolerances aren’t perfect so when the tools look in place they do wobble slightly and the socket holder is slightly too big so the sockets wobble a bit too. This does not affect the functionality of the tool and is really the only thing about this that isn’t as good as my Leatherman.
If someone had shown me this and told me it cost 50, I’d still think it was a bargain. At 20, I think it’s a steal.
The only drawback to this (and it’s a drawback for most good multitools) is that it’s illegal to carry in public since it has a locking blade. That doesn’t bother me as I bought it to have a tool handy so I don’t have to go down to my workshop every time I want a screwdriver or knife in the house. It won’t be leaving the house.
May not be the quality of a better known brands, but I couldn’t see the difference between this and a Gerber I own.
At the price, you can’t go wrong.
Brought this in black friday and couldn’t be happier. Has a good weight to it, the build quality is top notch and has a brilliant array of tools.
I bought two of these for my children that are in the armed forces and they are easy to use.
I’ve bought many different multi tool and knife sets over the years and certainly for the price point this comes in at, it’s definitely very well made from good quality stainless steel. A good weight and excellent to handle. My only wish would be the knife held it’s blade sharpness for longer, but again for the price I’m not complaining. I’d definitely buy another and probably will. The additional driver bits are also a bonus and appear to be better quality than the usual cheap add on’s.
Like the locking system..much safer and the release is good.Quality is reasonable , better than expected . This is a good emergency/ occasional tool with lots of useful blades.
Don’t expect leatherman for cheap, but this is Very good indeed.
Great bit of kit feels quite sturdy and well made. The only problem is the knife blade locks into position. A locking blade knife of any length is illegal in a public place so can’t really use it unless in the house.
For this price, I can’t complain about anything at all. Every “criticism” I have is for small quality of life issues that I would only really care about if I was paying a lot more for this tool.
The construction of the tool itself seems sturdy and durable, but I have a lot of battering to put it through before I can say for sure. The weight is enough to be reassuring, but not enough to be a bother during a long day.
The pouch is not anything special, and the closure is tricky to get right first time – I’ll probably add my own fastening for peace of mind. The elasticated section for the screwdriver bits is also quite tricky, and can add a fair few seconds of fumbling to a task (although I certainly won’t lose them once they’re in there!).
The pliers are a joy to use, and do the job exactly as needed. The span of the handles when using the pliers is quite wide for my small hands, but this is an issue I have with all pliers, and not something that bothers me once I have my grip situated.
All the tools in this multitool work well, with none missing the mark. One small issue I’ve found is that the release catch doesn’t always work when the tool is fully closed, as the opposite handle gets in the way of the moving bar. This is quick to rectify, but still a mild annoyance.
The dual-angle screwdriver sheath is a very nice touch, and more useful than I ever expected.
The provided screwdriver bits are a good compromise of range vs. space taken up, so I can’t fault this. The universal size means that any other bits can be used, which is where I came unstuck. The provided bits are double-ended, so longer than basic bits you might get with a multibit screwdriver. Most standard bits are too short to remove from this tool’s sheath without pliers! Anyone planning to use other screwdriver bits should play it safe and use a bit holder.
To reiterate, I am amazed by this tool. To pay ~20 and receive such a comprehensive, well made multitool is well worth the small complaints I may have.
More versatile than the big name multitool, and I like the fact the tools open the opposite way to the plyers.
Time will tell on its sturdiness, but so far happy after about a month usage.
I bought this as a gift this Christmas for someone who spends a lot of time away in a camper van. I have a Swiss Army knife and know perfectly well how useful it can be. If this is anywhere near as good and useful it’s money we’ll spent. The quality, weight, feel and tools within should withstand use in most situations.
Really well made tool. I was a little concerned with this being so cheap (compared to bigger name brands), I needn’t have worried. The build quality is right up there, granted, the blade did require some slight honing before first use, but since then it’s been perfect. Excellent value for a top notch tool.
I’m a field worker & a multi-tool is invaluable. My goto was a leatherman & while the tool itself had a lifetime guarantee, that didn’t matter if it got lost in the middle of nowhere, which happened.
Now at 100+ that sucks so I spent a bit of time buying cheap ones, first from known brands, all had a failing, weak blades, bad safety locks, rusting at the first sign of moisture.
This thing though, at under 20 I wasn’t expecting too much when I bought one back in October 2021, but it held up with a year of abuse, being dropped from heights, use as a true multi-tool from a screwdriver to a hammer & a few times tied to a rope for a weight to throw over (mostly into) rivers & it survived. All that has killed it is snapping the main blade & the flat screwdriver.
But I haven’t hesitated to buy another 13 months later. The old one will get chucked in a tool box to be used for some horrendous task but that’s the life it was made for.
Image shows a year of abuse & it held up well.
Would absolutely recommend.
This is a superb tool and for the price extremely well made. I am surprised for the price they managed to produce such quality. I am an engineer and mountain leader and fussy about my gear. The tool contains all the useful bits you will ever need. A firm thumbs up.
I bought a leatherman years ago, but I wanted something similar for the car.
This is way better than my leatherman and for a fraction of the price.
If you’re thinking of buying this as a gift, do not hesitate.. it’s a peach
You can spend hundreds of pounds buying multi-tools that are less robust and functional than this little beauty. It works perfectly, has safety features built in and is simply excellent value for money.
Used it a couple of times whilst on holiday. It was sturdy enough for what I wanted to do. Good bit of ki
My husband breaks everything.
If it’s labelled as “indestructible” no doubt within a minute of using the tool it will be broken.
This has now been used multiple times by my hulk like husband and its not shattered to bits. I am impressed!!
It’s fully intact and came in really handy when camping.
Great product so fa
I was pleasantly surprised by the weight, finish and quality of this multitool. The knife blade was blunt but a quick minute brought it up to scratch. I gave it a light oil to free the stiffness of being new and for protection. Not used that much yet, but has performed as well as branded multitools that cost fifteen times as much
I use a multi-tool for work and needed a temporary replacement. I wasn’t expecting great things for the price. 25% of the price of the market leaders. But I am very impressed. A novel but effective locking mechanism on all blades and tools. Sharp blades. Overlapping wire cutters which although they are inevitably showing signs of cutting high tensile wire are still performing. For the occasional user why would you pay more?
It’s a fantastic multitool for those who don’t want to shell out an arm and a leg for a branded tool. I’ve had it a couple of weeks now and it’s been great. The knife is razor sharp, and all the tools lock firmly into position. It’s a weighty tool and it’s well built, if you want something super small and light, this isn’t for you. The screw driver bits are separate and kept in the pouch which makes it a little bit slower to use the driver. If they made it so that the tool could be closed with 1 bit in still in the driver holder that would be a big benefit. I highly recommend this tool and would definitely buy it again. I paid 22ish and it is well well worth it. I think it will last for years.
Well, its a multi tool – lots of gadgets for all – I particularly like the interchangeable bits for the screwdriver – a shame it cannot fold away with one of the bits actually in it – but as there is a bit holder provided Im not knocking a star off. The blade is brilliantly sharp. Once you have worked out what part to press to allow any blade/tool to retract then all is good.
UPDATE 9/4/2022
After contacting the seller they were very apologetic and stated that they had issues with a batch of these multi tools. They have subsequently replaced the item and after testing the replacement it feels very robust.
I purchased a Bibury multi tool a couple of years ago but recently had it confiscated when I accidentally left it in my hand luggage for a flight I was taking. I decided to buy another one because I loved the first one I had and found it to be incredibly useful, versatile and great value for money. For this reason I am very disappointed with the new one I was sent. The first time I tried using the pliers for a simple task they shattered in my hands. For this reason I can no longer recommend this tool like I did before. This is a massive shame because for two years I had been singing it’s praises.
This is a sturdy and well-made tool which is a bargain at 20-25. I’ve used it a lot over the last few weeks. The blades are sharp. The screwdriver attachment is especially useful as it allows you to apply much more torque than a standard linear driver. The driver attachments are hard-wearing; no damage after multiple high-torque screwing operations. The file is useful for coarsely sanding down small sections of splintered wood. I’ve used this primarily for house moving and furniture dismantling/assembly. For those tasks I would have found Allen key attachments useful but I can’t really criticise it for not having those. It is heavy, as others have said, and note that the blades are locking so it isn’t really suitable for every day carry. But I had it on my belt all day while moving and it wasn’t heavy enough to be distracting.
Firstly I’d like to say this is a great bit of kit. I’ve purchased it to go in my rucksack for when I go wild camping. I didn’t need a hugely expensive one saw the reviews and I’m really happy.
Here comes the but….
But please be aware the Dr Jenkins review video IS NOT this multi tool. Its the upgraded version as this one does not have scissors. I was caught out by it so I’m contemplating returning it as scissors were something I’d have liked. That said at the price point it’s a fantastic multi tool feels solid and I’m quite sure will last a long time providing its not used 24/7
I use multitools a lot in my job and I get through a fair few of them. My job is working in pretty dirty conditions which tests hinges and blades. I cant warrant spending big money as sometimes I’ve lost the multi-colour and always blunt the blades meaning I have to sharpen them which erodes them.
However I have had this one a while now, the blades are still sharp the iers are sturdy and the socket holder is good. The little screwdriver for the socket are not great and I’ve rounded a few off already but they are a standard size and easily replaced with tougher items. I like this tool a lot and it feels like it will last a long time
I have had many multi tools over the years from cheap the top end, this too is not bad for the money,
The knife blades are a decent length and are sharp, the additional screwdriver bits work well but are a bit of a fiddle to get in and out of the holder and pouch, The pruning saw works well as do the pliers and wire cutters.
the only criticism is it is a bit heavy on the belt, if you are changing your trousers and the unit falls out the pouch because you forgot to do the stud on the retaining flap and lands on your foot it will hurt .
I have just received this multitool and I am astonished that I could get such good quality for the price. I have several multitool but this is the best one so far. I have been looking for quite a while for a tool with as good a quality as a leatherman or gerber and this seems to fit the bill. I am an engineer so I can tell if something is well made and the build quality of this tool is really good. The only con I would have is that it is a little heavier than other multitools that I have but at least this shows that it is substantial . I would consider this tool to be well worth buying as it is very sturdy.
This is a beautifully engineered multitool. I hesitated before taking the plunge and buying this item as it wasn’t a well known brand and I was convinced that there must be a catch somewhere. Having received the item today, I can assure anyone who is thinking about buying a Bibury 21-in-1 Multi-Tool that it is beautifully made and outstanding value for money.
I have used it on a couple of small jobs since it arrived and it works perfectly. The design is well thought out and the tools work perfectly.
This multitool is broadly equivalent to the Leatherman Wave, which sells for $99.95 on the Leatherman website. At current rates of exchange (1.00 = $0.74), that equates to 135.00. You would also have to buy a set of hex bits as an accessory, these are included as standard with the Bibury 21-in-1 Multitool, at a cost of an additional 11.00. Total cost $146.00 dollars. I paid 30.99, which makes the Leatherman Wave nearly five (4.7) times more expensive. If you buy the Leatherman Wave, you would be paying for the name but not for a better quality item, in my view.
The only downside with this multitool is that because the knife blade locks, it is illegal to carry it in a public place in the UK, unless it is required for your employment, which is why the person receiving this item when ordered from Amazon has to give their DOB and be 18 years of age or older.
In conclusion, this is a BEAUTIFULLY MADE multitool at a ridiculously cheap price. Don’t waste your money on the Leatherman Wave.
I’m astonished at how good this is. The locks work with an interesting lever system: it works but needs a second hand to operate. Blades and tools seem pretty good. Not the best but robust and impressive (blades and saw are quite sharp). The file is two sided (edge and flat) and the reverse is a ruler/depth gauge which works quite well but it’s a little loose on its joint: it does move slightly (ad does the saw though the blades are both good).
The pliers are very robust with a decent needle nose and are sprung which is excellent. The bit driver is very good with not only a lock but an additional locking position at 90 degrees. My only concerns are that the very good double ended bits are long enough that the tool won’t close when one is inserted so – after use – they have to be extracted and returned to the bit holder which fits in an elasticated pocket on the outside of the (very decent quality) sheath. The tool is quite ergonomic in use but the only (final) downside worth mentioning is the sheer weight. This – despite the holes cut in the handles to ‘skeletonize’ it – is a very heavy tool. For those who’ve handled other manufacturers’ products, mass wise this is in the leatherman supertool category.
But what it is not comparable to tools like the leatherman for is in price. For under 40 including the bits and the sheath, this is very, very good value for the money.
Edit: ive had it 4 days. I was very happy with it but the knife lock just broke so I’m returning it
The replacement arrived – good service. I’ve been careful not to open two tools at once (which is what seemed to break it last time). But it’s a good tool. I used it to change a door lock tumbler today.
Second Edit: I think the trick to the locking mechanism not giving up might be NEVER open two tools at once. That’s what I did when the first one broke. Since then I’ve resisted the temptation to do that and it’s been good so far. The blades – with the exception of the primary knife blade – all have some movement on them but the ‘play’ is not side to side, just in the direction of use. That doesn’t affect their functionality though: the serrated blade is quite effective and the saw works well and I have to back up my earlier comments about the robustness of the pliers.
