Gotta be safe when you’ve a long one in the garden and don’t want it growing nasty things.
This fits well and hasn’t slipped off in the recent storms (unlike the patio covers).
I have a Gardena auto hose reel but roughly the same size as others, this does fit and you do have to feed the cord along to get it to tighten up. The Amazon ad shows what appears to be a cotton type Oxford cloth and advert says 420D Oxford Cloth Material, weight 120g. The item that arrived is a very thin vinyl type material and the packaging says 90% polyester plus 10% nylon fibre. It was cheap but it looks and feels cheap it may last a season. ***I have reappraised this and upgraded the rating, the material is thin but very waterproof and it’s doing what I purchased it for I just hope the material stands up to wear at the cord openings.
Achieved a perfect fit on my Hozelock Auto Rewind after patiently gathering the draw cord around the hinge point. I didn’t want a cover with fancy flaps to pull the hose through, since if I’m going to use the hose then I want the reel uncovered.
Any reviewers saying this doesn’t fit are clearly not taking time to fit it. And as for being ‘a lot to pay for’ well I think its great value as the seams are quality and material seems to be genuine Oxford cloth.
When you have paid out well over 100 for a expensive hose reel you need to protect your investment. This cover is made for the job, easy slips over keeping your reel dry and out of the sun. Stops your reel colour fading because of sunlight.
This bag is not as structured as the dimensions diagram suggests. It therefore works well on a much wider hose pipe that’s not as deep.
Very good quality product will use it during the Winter.
