Fr mich die perfekte Alltagsuhr: dank Titangehuse kaum sprbar am Handgelenk, mit 20bar mehr als ausreichend wasserdicht, ausgezeichnet ablesbar, solarbetrieben, weiches und angenehm zu tragendes Silkonarmband, robust und kratzfest, gutes P/L Verhltnis und obendrein sieht sie auch noch sehr gut aus und hat schon eine Reihe bewundernder Kommentare erhalten. Was will man mehr?
Firstly the positives. I wanted a reliable watch, that didn’t need lots of rewinding or need its battery changing every couple of years. So Citizens eco-drive fits my needs perfectly. Whilst, the capacitor/battery will need replacing eventually, many have reported that this is over 15+ years after they bought the watch. If charged up, the watch will last for months, though it will occasionally need to be put out in the light (It doesn’t need sunlight but it will charge faster).
Eco-drive is also very accurate, compared to a manual watch.
Maybe the biggest advantage for me is the weight of the watch. I previously had a Seiko Coutura, which felt incredibly heavy on the wrist. In comparison, the Promaster weighs almost nothing. This makes such a difference and I am happy to wear this watch, whereas the Coutura would have just stayed in the case.
Another advantage I have found with the Promaster is the rubber strap, which makes getting a decent fit much easier, compared to the metal strap that the Coutura had.
As for reading the time. The clock is easy to read with white dials in the daytime, which light up at night.
Unfortunately, there are a few small negatives, with some being personal preferences.
Whilst the time may be easy to read, the date is much harder, it isn’t impossible, but it isn’t great.
Whilst I am sure the crystal dial window is ok, it would have been nicer to have a sapphire window.
The watch is very dark and whilst I have no problem with the black case and bezel, I do feel that the face may have looked nicer with a slightly lighter blue instead of the navy/royal blue (if they wanted to take it to the next level, adding a bit of yellow, would have really made the watch stand out.
Finally, whilst I have no real problem with the strap, it is a little long and a bit dull. Maybe a blue strap would have added something, but this is only a little thing.
So I am giving this watch 4 stars. It is a great watch for everyday use, but there are a few small things which I think would have improved the watch greatly. Well worth taking a look at.
If you want an inexpensive, but good quality divers watch, there us really only one place to go, especially since Seiko have hiked their prices so much in recent years, and that place is Citizen. For less than around 200 (street price, not retail) you can take your pick of great quality, true tool watch divers, whether mechanical or eco drive. This particular Titanium/EcoDrive model is a fine example.
It is very light and extremely comfortable, the watch and formed rubber strap sit lightly and naturally around the wrist in such a way that you’re not really aware of even wearing a watch. The size, at 44mm sounds large, but it wears slightly smaller than the measurement would suggest, but it is a dive watch after all and needs to be easy and quick to read under water. Citizen watches, although extremely well made and good value, can often be let down visually by aspects of their design. In this case, the only real criticism is that for purely visual aesthetics the crown is rather small, but on the other hand it’s an eco drive, so once it’s running you rarely need to touch the crown anyway and because it is quite small it won’t dig into the back of your wrist either, so it is practical ;-). The bezel could be a little firmer for diving purposes, but I’ve seen worse. They can vary so try a couple if this is important to you. Some reviews here criticise the long strap, but it’s long for a purpose, to be comfortably strapped over a wet/dry suit. I find the integrated strap on this to be one of it’s best and well produced features, but it can always be changed or trimmed with a knife if the length is a problem. It’s a thumbs up from me on this one and a bit of a bargain when it can be had for almost half the retail price.

Still loving this watch, and it keeps such great time.
Only ever need to adjust the date or time for fall or spring.
I own 5 ecodrive from citizen, and I love them all eldest is 8 ish years old (2023) and no issues
So easy to recommend this or any citizen watch … Wait for an offer, as there will always be one on at least one watch.
It looks good, and I tested it with the tool watch app and it’s 0.0 over 12 hours, so spot on accuracy, I just can’t help thinking it’s a bit over priced. Well built etc, just think just Under 200 would be a fare price
I couldn’t believe how light this watch was in hand and on the wrist, it’s incredible!
The face and indices are crystal clear and adds a classy look to the watch.
The strap might take some getting use to. Out of the box the watch strap is quite stiff, I just hope it’s built to last!
Amazing value for money. Was searching for a Lightweight watch with rubber strap to use while running and this is just perfect! The bezel is firm and snug and perfectly aligns at 12.
Leggero, robusto ed anallergico grazie alla cassa in titanio, un diver certificato COSC 20 atm con tecnologia ECODRIVE brevetto CITIZEN ad un prezzo contenuto. Che dire? Da una vita schiavo dei continui aggiustamenti di orario degli orologi automatici cronometro, ho trovato la pace con questo particolare orologio al quarzo con carica luce, che pur non essendo radiocontrollato ovviamente preciso. Soddisfatto..
Erfahrung eines Freundes: Nach 10Jahren hat er die Eco Drive seiner Frau mal servicieren lassen (Zerlegen, Drehknpfe reinigen, Akku?…wei ich nicht mehr) – luft wie am ersten Tag
Die “CITIZEN Promaster Marine Eco-Drive” ist meiner Meinung nach eine schne Uhr – das Gewicht ist ein Hammer…sehr leicht – eine Freude
An Titan liebe ich auch die schnelle Anpassung an die Krpertemperatur (lege die Uhr ber nach immer ab-in der Frh wieder drauf -irrsinnig schnell kaum mehr zu spren)
Ich hab kleine Handgelenke – auch kein Problem.. ist das Bandende halt ein wenig weiter oben – die Lochung reicht noch weiter aus.
Ich freu mich, dass ich etwas mehr Geld frs Titan in die Hand genommen hab – aber die anderen Citizen Eco Drive sind sicher auch toll
Orologio complessivamente molto carino, leggero ed elegante…. si pu indossare in tutte le occasioni…. unica pecca: cinturino troppo lungo che fa rimanere l’orologio un po’ sbilanciato (e premetto che non ho un polso esile, circa 20 cm), e la ghiera che ruota con troppa facilit.., anche quando non richiesto!! Per quello che costa , forse una maggiore cura nei dettagli sarebbe stata pi appropriata!!! Per tutto il resto direi che un ottimo orologio!!!

Update 12.2020 Trage die Citizen rund um die Uhr, sieht aus wie am ersten Tag, absolute Ganggenauigkeit und wasserdichtigkeit. Kauf bis heute nicht bereut.
Update 06.23. Uhr im Dauergebrauch 24/7 nach fast 3 Jahren immer noch Top. Absolute Gangenauigkeit und Wasserduchtigkeit. Selbst das Armband ist noch das Originale. Sehr gute Qualtt.
Die Lnette hat absolut kein Rckspiel, die klicks sind angenehm, der Wiederstand nahezu perfekt.
Das Nachtlicht ist phantastisch.
Das Blau des Zifferblattes wechselt, je nach Lichteinfall zwischen dunkelblau und einem fast-schwarzen blau.. bei direktem Licht sieht man etwas vom Solarpanel unter dem Zifferblatt, aber es fllt kaum auf und hat keinen negativen Einfluss auf die Optik.
Bei meiner Uhr tritt der Sekundenzeiger die Indizies nicht zu 100%, aber es ist nicht so massiv strend, wie das bei anderen Uhren sein kann.
Gewicht, Grsse und Tragekomfort ist ausgezeichnet. Das mitgelieferte Armband ist robust verbaut und berlang, so dass niemand damit Probleme haben sollte, weil es zu kurz ist.
einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: die Krone ist etwas sehr klein da die Uhr aber sehr genau luft, wird man die sowieso nur einmal alle 2 Monate brauchen wegen der Datumsanzeige, von daher ist das verkraftba
Die Uhr kam entladen an, (2 sekunden takt des kleinen zeiger) nach ein paar stunden unter der lampe lief sie gewohnt 1A.
Stabile Zeiger die die Indizien genau treffen.
Dank dem Supertitan extrem leicht und dank dem kautschuk oder silikonband angenehm zu tragen.
Meine zweite Citizen und das zweite mal begeistert.
Das Band ist SEHR lange aber strt mich weniger..

Sportliche und sehr leichte Uhr. Die Wualitt ist ber jeden Zeiwel erhaben. Mir hat Sie aber nicht gefallen und ich habe sie zurckgeschickt. Service war dabei sehr gut und der Hnfler ist sehr empfehlenswe
Non mi pronuncio sulla impermeabilit a 200 m, ma sicuramente va bene in piscina ed al mare per attivit “normali”; lo consiglio anche a chi voglia un orologio robusto e piuttosto semplice per viaggio o altre attivit sportive, come nel mio caso.
