Cleaner Window Feeder – High welfare, easy clean window
Cleaner Window Feeder – High welfare, easy clean window mounted bird feeder. Keep food clean and dry, prevent the spread of disease.
From the brand
Finches Friend is a family business, striving to minimise the spread of disease among garden birds.
Our goal is to spread the word on the importance of a regular cleaning routine and we’ve created high quality bird feeders that make it easy.
After Trichomonosis wiped out the greenfinches in his garden, our founder, Richard Woods, set about creating Finches Friend’s easy clean bird feeders, which is manufactured in the UK.
What makes our products unique?
Food is kept clean, dry and separate from the feeding area, reducing the chance of spreading disease.
The feed tray is removable, so it can be easily cleaned, without waiting for the feeder to empty.
Cleaner Feeder 2 and Window Cleaner Feeder are supplied with a spare feed tray so the feeder has no down time.
Why we love what we do?
We are inspired by how much our customers care for the birds and want to feed them safely.
Like us, they didn’t know about the danger of dirty bird feeders but together we will change things for the better and protect our wild birds.

I’ve been using window feeders for many years & keep looking for better ones as many are flimsy, hard to clean & often fall off the window, this one is really very good.
Well made & sturdy.
Very easy to change the seed hopper part to put out fresh food or clean, comes with a spare so this is even easier.
The release tab feels strong & you only have to pull a little & gently so I don’t think that will break.
Suckers have attached to the glass well, I don’t yet know how it will stand up to the rain but after putting it up for the first time I decided to move it & it took a bit of getting off!
The blue, great & coal tits sussed it straight away which is what I wanted.
Starlings haven’t even tried which is great!
The woodpeckers can’t use it, much as I love them they do hog the feeders so this is perfect for the smaller birds to get their share.
I now have two & will probably be buying more, it is expensive but I do think you get what you pay for with this.
We haven’t got as far as installing it so my comments may be a little unfair…
Love the theory and the build – it’s great to have a spare feeder tray and the window stickers are a nice touch too.
But unlocking the feeder drawer to swap it for the spare, which should be a doddle, is actually a bit fiddly. We found the catch stiff to release and think it won’t be long before the catch snaps.
This is an issue because the place it’s destined for is where we often get, and want to deter, bird-strikes, that we can only reach with a step-ladder, so it has to be really easy to remove for cleaning with one hand, whilst holding on to the ladder with the other.
I really wanted to love this but sadly, it’s going back.
Great window feeder. Nice perches and the birds love it. Easy to clean and top up.
I’ve seen a lot about diseases being spread on bird feeders so was excited to see this new window feeder design that keeps the food clean and dry. I had a lot of waste on my old window feeder when it rained and the food would get wet and mushy but after a few days of rain I’m pleased to see that’s not a problem any more.
It was really easy to put up and whilst the birds were a bit confused, landing on the roof, they’ve found the perch now.
It’s so much better than my last window feeder, I’m delighted!
I’ve been seeing a lot about diseases being spread on exposed bird feeders, so I was really excited to see this new window feeder design that keeps the food clean, dry and protected.
I had a lot of waste on my old feeder when it rained and the food got wet and mushy, which didn’t attract any birds. But now, after a few days of rain, I am pleased to see that this is not a problem anymore!
It was really easy to put up and whilst the birds were a bit confused landing on the roof, they have found the perch now. It also came with some window decals to protect the birds from flying into the window and hurting themselves.
It’s so much better than my last window feeder I am really happy!
