First Corsair PSU i’ve had but it is well made and smaller than i thought it would be for 1000W.
Works well with my RX 7900XTX and Ryzen 9 3900 should be more than enough grunt behind it to last me a long time.
Easy to install with tidy braided cables of which there is enough of to power all hardware you have.
I have yet to hear the fan on this PSU yet which when aiming for a silent build is one of its best features.
A brilliant power supply it’s always quite would definitely purchase again for next build
I had to upgrade a 850W to this one to run a 3090. Good, quiet, easy to install, plenty of cables and most important they are quite long for psu cables, I could run the cables along a longer path than usual to get a cleaner look.
It simply works as described. low noise and good build.
Using this for my build with a 4070Ti, Ryzen 7 5800x and a B550 strix Wi-Fi II motherboard. Low noise, no problems whatsoeve
Needed a new PSU for upgrading my PC, this fit the bill and comes with all the cables that you might need, it’s easily installed and is low noise. A little expensive but all higher end PC parts are at the moment.
It’s in the A tier for best psu’s and from my extensive use I can say it’s reliable
Bought this to power an rtx4070ti,does the job well and quiet too.
My son asked for this specific item for Christmas, he loves it, happy with purchase.
it won’t exactly power a space launch, don’t get this if you have a 40 series gpu, but for most practical use this PSU is perfect. it is reliable, efficient and affordable. comes in white too for if you are going for a white look.
If u are in for a good PSU this is it it@s not fancy but it will get the job done
Our old PSU was rattling due to the fan bearings going so I wanted something with a bit more oomph to cover future GPU updates and much quieter. I plummed for a modular option as I was trying to work with an existing build and was concerned about an unmodular bundle of cables fitting in the space I had.
Really simple installation as it turned out. Removing the existing non modular wiring bundle was the hardest part and making a note of what wires I needed where. Modular installation was really straight forward with minimal know how needed. The fans are really quiet and no integration issues with my other existing components. Happy with price point too
It does what I want. I don’t as a rule give 5 stars but maybe it’s really quiet but I can’t hear it over my case fans. Comes with enough connectors for a system build. Took me a while to realise the 8pin connectors can be split into 2X4.
I picked up this Corsair RM850e shortly after Black Friday 2022 for 99.98 on Amazon.
Corsair RM power supplies are well known as very good quality. RMe type seems to be a new, slightly more affordable version, and I needed to upgrade from an older, lower class and lower wattage Corsair PSU.
Be aware that although the PSU unit has sockets for 4 SATA/PATA cables, only 3 cables come in the box — I checked Corsairs own product page and this is correct!? Extra cables can be bought from Corsair and other outlets. In the event, I only needed to use 2 of them, which will be the most that most people will need.
Note that one of the SATA/PATA cables only has Molex power connectors on it (4 of them), which I found useful to power (via an adapter) an internal USB hub. The other two SATA/PATA cables have only SATA power connectors — one has 3 and the other 4.
So far it seems quiet and good, and I’ve had no problems.
Amazing product and good value for money, it’s also almost silent apart from on startup where there is a slight noise however can be quite annoying to install in small cases as it’s a bit long
It’s well packaged and arrives with all the cables most people will need. As it’s a more budget option relative to most PSUs in this wattage, most of the cables are not braided and so don’t look pretty, but if you manage your cables properly you won’t see them for the most part anyway.
I’m aware some units of this model have issues with fan speed control, but mine worked fine.
Needed a new Power Supply to replace my 11 year old Corsair TX650M and I had to use one PATA CABLE from the TX650M so I think Corsair RM750 (2021) should have two instead of one. Easy to install. Recommended!
The product itself was fine, came on time had a load of cables all white to match the psu but the packaging was poor. The box it came in was just the box the psu is packaged in with a clear wrapping around it so it was clear for the world to see what it was. Making it easy for anyone who needed or wanted one. Luckily it still arrived. Never seen anything packaged like this before very strange
With the wattage provided from this Power supply it makes it easy to upgrade your pc later on. The price was a bargain at 98 however as of writing this review 05/11/2022 (dd/mm/yyyy) to price is 115.99 which may deter someone who are on a strict budget however its worth it in the long run. Of course its easy to install the only problem is that my cable management is amateur (first pc build). Lastly I’ll update this when it start producing noise (my overall build produces 36-38dB, so I’m not sure).
750W modular power supply, works as expected.
The best thing I can say about Corsair PSU’s is that my last one popped after 8+ years of use not damaging any of my components. So back for another one, hopefully this one also lasts as long.
Easy to install, no different from any other modern power supply, modular makes it easier for cable management and the noise levels are reasonable.
This is a great psu and being fully modular makes installation easy. I was replacing an old fully modular psu. Only issue I had was I could not use any of the old cables, that maybe true for any new psu. Been a few months since I installed this and it has performed well and I can’t fault it.
This power supply replaced my previous one which was a Corsair VS450 which had become outdated along the period of me upgrading my gaming PC. I had noticed when I started to play more demanding games, which most modern games are now becoming, and my PC was running at its maximum speed, my computer would sometimes power itself off which in the beginning I believed it to be the CPU getting too hot, however after some monitoring of my temperatures it wasn’t that so my next idea was the power supply.
Corsair are one of my favourite brands on the market right now, from their cases to their RAM and power supplies, as well as peripheral items such as Keyboards, I’ve been a long-term supporter of the company.
The things I like about the power supply is that, because of the fully modular part of it, you don’t have the spaghetti which usual non-modular power supplies contain that you have to stuff in the case which leads to your side panel not closing. It’s also incredibly quiet and you can’t even tell it’s there.
There is nothing I dislike about the power supply as it’s all running smoothly and is doing its job perfectly fine.
So this is the second I used and immediately was so much better.
I will comment that this box was pristine compared to the previous one that was sent.
Hooked it up using the same Type 4 cables from my Rm850x and it works perfectly.
Same single fan spin on boot up and everything back to what I expect from Corsair.
Watch out for Rm1000e’s that have 100% fan speed from boot up which sound like low flying aircraft as this happened to me and took ordering a second to get one that worked properly
There isn’t much to complain about when it comes to the quality of the corsair power supplies as they will be one of the best on the market. The cables come in their own kind of sleeve / braiding which is neat. When in use, the fans are not audible even when I am pushing the limits of the wattage.
Main issue that I had would be that the case that I use is a little smaller than the standard micro-atx case so getting all the cables when I have a SATA SSD and HDD is an issue. If you do not have the drive cage where the PSU is in your build, this issue would not apply to you.
Check out the video. It’s really quiet. If you hear any whirring noise that’s the Virgin box! Honestly it’s quiet af. My system kept shutting down- well, more like cutting out. So banged this bad boy in and works a charm. You can see it’s not a huge case but it fits in fine. Someone in the reviews said it’s big but it’s not at all- it’s smaller than my EVGA 650W PSU that just failed. Anyway it fits lovely. Is fully modular so ive only connected about 3 leads i think- CPU, MOBO and SATAs. Ace for that. It comes with loads of other leads like and some cable tidies and case screws.
Fab. Although you do expect fab from Corsair. You won’t be disappointed.
I ordered this product same day. No need for details in that aspect. It arrived and I got to installing. No issue with the cables until it came to SATA. theyre insanely long and oddly orrientated. I wouldve prefered the connections to be straight line instead of at 90 degrees to the wiring. makes sense to wire them so 1 going bad doesnt ruin the entire system. but couldve been done better. I have had to relocate all SSDs and ziptie the excess. Looking into some different Satas.
Everything else is top notch. Fits in a Micro ATX case even if you have a shroud to get past. no issues there.
Its dead silent, and so efficient that I have actually seen a drop in cost compared to my old 500W.
If you want the aesthetic. go for the white. If you want the stealth. Go for the black. Either way your getting a Classically high quality Corsair produc
It’s 80Gold 850W which for the money is good value. It’s 100% ATX compatible and fit my case with no issues at all. However, the cables… they are the kind of very stiff plastic that we all love to hate. Also, the ATX power cable was a swine to socket as the moulding was a very, very, very snug fit. So it’s lost a star for the cables. What is the point of a modular PSU if the cables supplied are worse than a non-modular ones?
