Ideal for some extra storage if you have a spare m.2 slot. Its fast and showed up in windows straight away. It came with the tiny m.2 screw which is great because I am always loosing them

I recently bought a streamer/DAC that has provision for a SSD of up to 4TB so this was perfect. The problem with streaming music is that it just takes a small hiccup in broadband to make the music glitch or even come to a grinding halt. If I want to listen to an album on Apple Music, I’ll download it; once it’s downloaded, the broadband can go down completely but the files are still playable. The next thing is to digitise all of the CDs…

I bought the 2TB SSD to replace my 256GB SSD. I put the new SSD in an NVME converter (bought separately), downloaded Acronis and cloned the 256GB into the 2TB. Did everything around 30 minutes.

Inserted the cloned 2TB into my PC and restarted the laptop. Everything works like a charm.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this to go with my new motherboard and upgrade my 250GB SATA SSD which was nearly full. It seems to work fine, although I only have PCIe 3 on my motherboard. I don’t need to make use of its full speed, but as it was only marginally more than the P3 I got it anyway.

The price seems to have gone up since I bought it, so rather bizarrely it is cheaper to buy it with a free copy of Acronis right now, although I have always used Macrium Reflect free which is sadly no longer updated.

Beware that sometimes these items are subject to theft somewhere along the line and mine was opened and removed by somebody, with just the retaining screw left for my 43. Fortunately customer services gave me a free replacement, but I would recommend checking with the delivery driver or taking a video of it being opened just in case.

Very quick SSD, haven’t had any issues with any of Crucial’s products. When transferring files on the SSD I get around 1Gbps speeds which are great! No faults as of yet.

i have lost count of the number of drives i have bought from crucial – and i have literally never had a single problem. they are faultless each and every time. this one comes really well packaged and as an added bonus comes with a tiny nvme screw too! this is something other far more expensive brands do not provide so top marks crucial.
plugged in, recognised in disk tool, initialised, formatted and away i went – what more could you ask for?

This was a bargain when comparing the price to the “Crucial BX500 2tb SSD which has about 540 MB/S”, and this is only 5 more and has 5000MB/s (nearly 10 times faster!) . It’s a no brainer if your PC has a NVME slot.

An absolute steal for the money!! I installed this in my laptop and the difference is major. The read/write speeds are brilliant. The laptop turns on in seconds and it very responsive since upgraded to this from a regular SSD.

I bought a Lenovo Laptop with a very powerful 12th Gen laptop but only 256GB SSD. The model with 512GB was way too expensive. From the difference, I bought this 1TB NVMe SSD (and an 8GB RAM stick) and upgraded the laptop from 256GB to 1TB SSD storage. I cloned the 256GB onto this 1TB so I did not have to re-install Windows the Laptop worked just like before the SSD clonong.

This offers fantastic value for money.

Installed as second drive for games. Easy as plug in, secure with supplied screw and format with windows disk management tool. It’s full capacity and fast. I’ve filled it already. Maybe should’ve go a bigger one lol

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought a number of these on sale to use in some old office SFC desktops, so their prices were really good. They come with the usual Crucial reliability, and having benchmarked them, I can confirm the units I received hit the advertised PCIe Gen4 speeds. There really is nothing to complain about. I’m very happy with the purchase.

I bought this Crucial and a Samsung 970 Evo plus at the same time (both 1Tb). I ran some speed tests on them in order to decide which would be the drive I use for my laptop and which would be my spare. This Crucial drive was fast but a little inconsistent with it’s speeds. Therefore the Samsung won. The crucial overall was fractionally slower than the Samsung in my tests. It was also a lot more inconsistent speed wise than the Samsung. Good value for money though.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen I contemplate the problems that a failed disk can bring, I worry. It’s the broken applications, lost files, photographs, projects and work. And NVMe M2 disks are bought for speed. So whether it’s gaming, music making or photo editing, they tend to be at the core of what I’m doing. Storage and backup can be effected on slower disks that are a little cheaper, but still need to be reliable.

There are a few brands – like Samsung and Crucial, that seem to be ahead in the management and value stakes. So I confine my purchases to them.

Ease of installation will depend on what you’re doing. If you’re replacing a drive within a laptop, it can sometimes be fiddly, with a need to disassemble several parts of the machine to get at the drive housing. How clear and how easy that is, will depend on the information the laptop manufacturer makes available, not the drive manufacturer. It’s also worth finding out the maximum drive size (TB) that can be installed. Some CPUs and motherboards have their limits — exceeding this can be possible — but can involve diving into the BIOS and work-arounds. So it’s best to do some research.

These Crucial disks have the same form factor and installation options as other disks of their standard – by Crucial and other manufacturers – I’ve yet to see a difference between brands. Installing in an external housing is usually very straightforward.

For gaming, speed can be critical. I’ve not used this for gaming, it’s on a disk array on a powered external USB hub and the USB speed is the limiting factor. The manufacturer provides full details of the maximum read and write speeds that can be obtained.

I’ve found the value for money per GB of storage that Crucial offers is excellent.

The SSD arrived on time and was well packaged. Over the last few months I have bought several Crucial SSD from P3 to P5’s both SATA and NVMe. These drives are so easy to setup and this one was no different. It took only a few minutes from getting it out of the box to a working drive in my PC. This is also a nippy SSD. I am happy with my purchase would would recommend it especially at the price it is.

Wow.JUST WOW!This thing is blazing quick.i did not expect these read and write speeds from a 40 SSD from such a known company. When i recieved it my initial thoughts were on how fast windows downloaded and how quick it could boot up.Even with my pentium 6th Gen it still loaded up into the full windows menu in under 10 seconds.I were amazed as the old Toshiba NVME Gen3 SSD took about 2 minutes. It has relieved so much stress on my processor leaving it about 1% utilization most of the time i can even play GTA now at 60FPS which is unreal! The crucial executive storage manager provides many options to improve the SSD which is a big plus.If your looking for an SSD go no further with this SSD going up to 4TB and 5000,4800Mb/s Read and write speeds i personally think it is a steal

After doing a lot of research I opted to buy 2 x 1tbit drives.

They are supoer fast and super easy to install.

Fast to write too and read from. My new system is much better then my old 10+ year old system.

For the price of this card you can’t go wrong. A real bargain.

Must give this card or both cards I got 10-10 for sure. Well deserved.

My ASUS Z390-A motherboard has two M.2 slots so I was able to add this 1TB NVMe SSD card then clone my 250GB C: boot disk to it using the Crucial data transfer software. I then swapped the M.2 cards over so the PC booted off the new 1TB card (couldn’t see how to change boot sequence in BIOS which would achieve the same thing). I was a bit apprehensive but it all worked well and I’m getting 3500 MB/s sequential read speeds. I download Crucial Storage Executive too which will be useful. I had an issue screwing down the loose end of the SDD to secure it as there was no support post in my PC, i found a workaround so not an insurmountable issue

I purchased this Crucial M.2 SSD to use in my custom gaming PC build. Installation was super easy, just slotted it into the motherboard. Boot times are lightning fast now and games load notably quicker than with my old SATA SSD. Read and write speeds are very impressive, around 3500MB/s when I benchmarked it. For the price this SSD has great performance – very speedy for gaming and multitasking. Overall an excellent NVMe drive that boosted speeds in my gaming rig. Highly recommended

I have a custom gaming PC and needed some extra space. This 4TB M.2 drive is super fast. It’s also future-proofed. My motherboard only supports M.2 PCIe 3.0 and this drive is PCIe 4.0. It still works in a 3.0 slot, and will be able to run at full speed when I get a new motherboard! Note that it’s often on sale. I bought it for around 150 on Prime Day.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYes WOW!
My new PC build warranted some SSD drive storage space, after all, if I’m building a better PC its only going to be better if I upgrade the drives.
Along with the new motherboard, processor & RAM my newly built PC makes my 5 year old system look like a snail, when transferring data to/from this drive over my LAN the bottleneck is now the speed of my NICs, not the speed of the old mechanical drives.
Value for money, yes it was, I’m sure the price will drop shortly as with most PC components.
Long story short – if you need a new SSD and your motherboard is compatible, then go for it!

Been using Crucial memory and ssd storage for more than twenty tears without a single failure. This 2TB M2 stick was installed with ease as an upgrade to my laptop which had a full 1Tb disk. Used Acronis’s True Image software provided free by Crucial to clone the disk which it did easily & effectively and the laptop was back in use instantly on switching on with the new disk. Once again great disk from trusted brand.

I love this brand, always reliable.
Quick unscrew of a few screws on my laptop, locate the secondary nvme m.2 slot
Click in the unit, noting the notch on the drive. Re screw everything and power on the laptop.
Go to your disk management, select mbr or gpt ,initialise the drive, format it, allocate a drive letter and you Re good to go. caution if you have more than 1 drive make sure you are selecting the correct drive
900gb of drive space approx appears! Yay happy saying stuff you don’t need

I ran multiple benchmark tests on the Crucial P3 Plus 1TB and the drive is fast. Getting over 5100 MB/s Read and 3600 MB/s Write.

However, this NVMe needs a Cooler and the Thermalright M.2 2280 Pro is a good match for the Crucial P3 Plus 1TB Gen4 NVMe, as it managed to cool it from 64 Degree Celsius, all the way down to 33 Degree Celsius.

The Crucial P3 Plus 1TB is not as fast as my WDBlack SN850X, but it is half the price, and quick enough to not notice any difference in day to day tasks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast NVMe at a budget price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to install. Crucial includes free access to a basic version of Acronis so you can clone your C: drive. My only trip-up was the fact that my motherboard Sata sockets weren’t all available at the same time as the M.2 sockets. Easily solved by checking the mobo manual for the right socket(s). I unplugged all the other drives and just left the original Sata C: drive and the new M.2 drive plugged in and changed the boot order in the BIOS. Once done, booted up, downloaded the Acronis software from the link provided by Crucial, followed the instructions, and it cloned the drive in approx 25 mins, resizing partitions appropriately. Switched off, unplugged the old C: drive, plugged in the storage drives and back into the BIOS. Changed the boot order to the new M.2 drive. Fired it up, and everything was just there. But faster!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe ssd was used when building a gaming pc (motherboard) as seen in image. I did some testings to it once it was installed and I was very impressed as it was very fast and it responded rapidly up to 3500 mb/s. It also has encrypted hardware which is very good and a lot of storage where I used to download many games. However one disadvantage is the ssd can increase in temperature when device is running so what I recommend is by adding a fan near the ssd to keep it cool ( which is what I have done). It is also very easy to install and very good for the price. I would recommend if your on a budge
