As the title suggests. Zombies take way too much damage before they finally take the hint and die!! Missions are all pretty much the same, ‘save them for me and I’ll give you nothing of worth or use!’.
This game is fun and but can get abit repetitive.
Better playing online with other players.
The graphics are good and I like that you can modify and create your own weapons. But it is frustrating when they break.
Overall this is a good game but could be better.
Great game but not as good as dead island one.
One of the best games I’ve played .
26 missions plus double that in side quests then add in weapon and skill card collecting. So much to do and worth every Penney !
The game itself is fun, but lacks the world building the originals had, and it’s not even set on an island
Bought for my other half as a gift, he was over the moon with it and I’m guessing he loved playing it untill he completed it as he spent alot of time on it when he wasnt at work. I cant really review more than that as I dont play on consoles so I dont really have any idea when it comes to these games.
Old fashioned fun. Lack of difficulty
options is an issue for younger players but not the hardest game in anycase. Much worse ways to spend your money out there.
Fantastic semi-open world RPG.
The pros:
– very detailed world
– fun missions
– great melee and long range combat
– lots of gore
– Lots of environmental hazards to create interesting ways to kill zombies
– decent length – I spend at least 40 hours total on this
The cons:
– weapon tinkering and maintenance can get a bit tedious
– the ending doesn’t properly conclude and leaves things open for the DLC which is quite annoying
– some missions a bit long and tedious
– limited fast travel points means lots of running around
For me personally this is one of the best games made in the last few years, but I would count myself as the target audience. Certainly not for everyone and worth watching a review before you play.
Quite a lot of depth to the story and very refined gameplay. The colour paltof the game is much more varied than the first and the urban setting is a welcome change.
The rub is that when you’ve completed the game, max level and complete side quests there isn’t much else to do but trade it in. It will take a fair few hours to do this though!
Dead Island 2 is a pretty decent follow up, ok its not going to win game of the year awards, but its pretty to look at, its gory, it has satisfying combat.
Seems a little short story wise, but you be having too much fun slaying zombies to notice.
Its not overly difficult either and very user friendly as if you die you spawn quite close by and most of the enemy still have what ever damage you delt to them before they got you.
Good game for quick bursts to take out your frustrations on.
Bought full price , wish it had a longer story .
Gameplay is fun , mechanics are easy to understand. Graphics are allright .
From the moment the game begins it shines quality. The opening cinematic is great! The gameplay is genuinely great FUN! The environments are immaculate, highly detailed, each one feels unique and packed with exploration. The movement is very precise and responsive (unlike dying light which feels very sloppy and hit and miss to me), each strike FEELS solid. Personally I found the story pretty interesting and engrossing. The gore system is off the charts incredible! Probably one of my favourite games. Interestingly, one of the few new games I’d class as truly next gen. Just wish it was longer and bigger. Hoping for some DLC with new areas to explore. Highly recommend.
Game play is not smooth, the whole repair modify weapons has been ruined and messed about with, the controls are anoying, The first two games were better laid out, more fun to play. It feels a very stiff, dull game lacking the fun of the games before. Long wait for a sub par game. lost chance
Love the game I wish it wasn’t all ways online
One day the server will go down and nobody will be able to play other than that great game very addictive
Considering this game was stuck in development hell for 9 years its amazing it came out at all never mind that it’s actually a joy to play. It’s not open world but more open areas that are connected and that makes the level off detail in each area far greater than in a game like dying light. The combat starts off feeling a bit weak but once you learn what weapons damage which types of zombies and level up a few times it becomes very satisfying, stunning a zombie so he drops to his knees and having the chance to wind up a hit to the head is so rewarding and the damage models really sell the violence. I’m only giving it 4 stars because I’m only 5/6 hours in but I’m looking forwards to getting some guns and really seeing what sort of damage I can do.
When I was playing dying light 2, the poor optimization and hostess made me feel sick.
When I was playing Resident Evil RE:4, from gray sky and frustrating bgm, I could only feel depressed and tired.
But this game is different, beautiful graphics make you feel like you’re there.
In this game, outwitting enemies is easier to win than beating them.
If you can’t get happy by playing a game, it’s better to refund and read books.
