I bought this to blow leaves and rubbish from under my patio furniture and it’s perfect for the job. I use it all the time instead of a broom and very happy with its performance. As long as you aren’t expecting full sized leaf blower performance then you won’t be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis blower is about versatility and incredible convenience as you can use it anywhere, as you would any other battery tools.

It is not strong enough to compete with the mains powered blowers which are twice as powerful.

And reading some reviews, some people try to use it in the garden! Well, if you intend to blow wet leaves off of your grass, you should be using a 3000W Leaf Blower, not a 265W hand held device.

In terms of “how powerful is it?” – it is 265W. About half as powerful as mains powered blowers which are 400W-600W.

How long does the battery last? 265W with an 18V battery is about 15A. That means a 5Ah battery pack (these are the thick, heavy packs) will only last about 20 minutes if you are lucky. The small, 2Ah batteries, will last less than 10 mins.

I give this 4 stars because it is great at what it is meant to do.

I take one star away because the motor could be brushless and then the same 265W would result in much better air volumes.

In addition, occasionally, mine keeps cutting out every 4-5 seconds, so there is something wrong with it and am sending it back.

PS: The replacement also keeps cutting out. I will try different batteries.

It’s tiny and looks like a toy but it’s pretty powerful. It comes with 2 extensions but even fully extended it’s quite short, which makes it difficult to direct it without crouching. I’m only 5ft 8in.

Great for blowing leaves but you also get thinner nozzles which you can use to jet blast dust from things. (Useful for clearing dust etc. from behind radiators.) We already have batteries for other Dewalt items do this made it cheaper than buying one with a battery.

Quite a light unit but is noisey. Ideal for my purpose of drying out inaccessible parts of my motorcycle, after hosing off road salt after a winter ride.

Cracking piece of kit, looked like a toy when opened box as quite small but once it was assembled, which took seconds, this machine packs a punch. Ease of use and the freedom to roam it’s a great addition to my dewalt collection.

Used with my dewalt 5amp batteries. It’s much quicker to use and put away like the large electric one

Been thinking about this for awhile and took the plunge. Very powerful and light. I used a 2.0 Ah battery and it goes for ever. Easy to store.

Not had much chance to use it yet. It does not seem to be as powerfully as I expected. Cannot comment on battery life.

Good product, easy to use and with the larger capacity battery good running time. PROBLEM is with trying to register on-line, HOPELESS. Come ‘black and decker’, get your act together and have someone available to give advice on the SKU code for this item. I have quite a lot of Dewalt tools. Maybe amazon can help?

A fantastic price body only, wow what a total tool not surprised being Dewalt as my favourite kit for years, it comes with a two section nozzle which connects simply, there are small adapters for blowing up air beds or chairs. The power of this tool I can not recommend enough I used three 1.8 volt batteries & blew the whole of our patio & front driveway which is some 60 sm plus areas around them. Very impressed 10/10

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve used this more than I would have expected. Initially bought to clean down my working area when using a chop saw, but now lifting it out to clear the drive, the patio etc… even took it to the beach to dust down the kids before we all got back in the car. For a small unit, it packs a punch and I wouldn’t be without it now.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBeen through an electric blower, too heavy and noisy plus power lead keep tripping you up and restricting movement, had a petrol blower which became a pain to start up, needs special fuel mix, noisy and smelly.
This splendid new gadget ticked every box. Lightweight, very easy to use and no fumes, quite a powerful blower for its small size. Obviously has to rely on your battery charge but I have 6 x 4Ah cells already and I also purchased a pair of pattern 5Ah cells just for this blower. Its just brilliant, you need to buy one of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favourite battery tools

Already have a mains powered leave blower and it is used only couple of times a year. However, seeing as we have plenty of DeWalt batteries from other power tools, decided to get this blower in the DeWalt range. It is compact and light in weight. Rather than being only used twice a year, the intention is to use this blower after washing cars so as to prevent water droplet stains and to allow the polishing process to commence sooner than leaving the car to dry naturally and still not having to use a chamy leather to dry the car.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAlthough you could use it for casual leaf-blowing I would buy a proper leaf-blower. However, it works very well for “improving” your charcoal BBQ (turns it into a blast furnace so use the lowest setting and mind you don’t melt the end by using a bit of metal pipe shoved in there). Also works great for blowing debris (eg fallen blossom) across a garden pond surface so you can scoop it all out at once instead of chasing individual bits with a net. Again, keep the wick turned down or you might create a localised tsunami. I even saw someone on TV using it to blow-dry a cow they were exhibiting!! The inflator function struggles with party balloons as these are quite high pressure but I’m sure it would be fine for an airbed. It will also actively deflate by switching the nozzle to the side-inlet. Good for getting dust and debris out of cracks and crevices if you are doing DIY stuff but of course it all flies all over the place so a vacuum cleaner is better most of the time. Great build quality and runs well on a 4Ah XR battery.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor the size and weight this is an excellent piece of equipment. I bought it for clearing the road after cutting my hedge. This has turned a boring job with a broom into fun!
There are three speed settings, on the highest it easily blasts hedge cutting off the road and also moves dust, dirt, gravel and anything on the road that isn’t fixed.
After clearing the road I went round the garden with this machine, desperately searching for things that looked like they needed the blower treatment.
It is quite loud on the highest setting, ear defenders may be useful.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWell it’s a Dewalt which came with a 3 year warranty, I was looking online, unfortunately all shops are closed due the lockdown. I found it’s was cheaper on Amazon than Screwfix, wicks and B&Q online.
It’s the 18v XR Range so I can put my XR battery in it which is great.
This unit is bare, no battery came with the blower.
I am using my 18v 1.5Ah battery on it which works fine the only downfall is the running time will be less compared to the 4.0Ah or 5Ah battery, I read on a forum, which has about 15-20min run time. But that’s only what a read online.
It’s has 3 speed Switch which is awesome.
    No negatives as of yet.

    5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a Dewal

Nice sturdy light weight blower, what you expect from Dewalt, but not without its issues.

This thing rips through 5Ah batteries. I get less than 10 minutes on full power. Luckily I have 3 big batteries.

The intake is on the left side so when I use it right handed, my trouser leg keeps getting sucked into the inlet which blocks it.

It doesn’t move a huge volume of air, the end of the nozzle is narrow so it’s fast moving, but there isn’t much of it, not great for leaf blowing.

I’d spend the extra money and get the bigger one with the brushless motor if I was ordering again. It’ll push more air and the battery will probably last longer too.

Have recently been using it for inflating a kids paddling pool using the attachments that come with it. I must say it is very good at this task, certainly better than it is at blowing leaves!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis Is a great tool to have in your collection. Sometime we don’t realise how handy some gadgets are, until we take the plunge and get it.
I’ve got quite an extensive range of dewalt cordless that I use on a DIY basis only, this blower is so handy. Apart from the obvious of blowing your tools and dust etc, I use this to properly clean out our hoovers. Works great on those little dyson cordless hoovers, ( I use to buy canned air for this job) Drying my motorbikes ( it gets all the water out of those awkward places) used in conjunction when sweeping up, I also use it to blow dust and bits off a surface before painting. ( mine has the little fitting attached) This little blower has always got a battery attached and close to hand. I’ll soon be doing jobs in the garden, you can bet I’ll find a few more jobs for my blower.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is a great piece of kit and is very convenient for clearing areas of debris. This isn’t really comparable to a leaf blower, but if you didn’t have the space to store a typical large leaf blower, this can do the job, it just may take a little longer. It is great for blowing out the garage floor, back of a van and even helping to get a fire going in drum outside. The product comes with a flexible end as shown in the picture, but it also comes with an extender piece to lengthen the nozzle which makes it easier to clear larger areas whilst standing up (Like a leaf blower). It also comes with an inflatable adapter which I am yet to use, but I can see this coming in handy when blowing up and also deflating air beds, etc. Another use that I use this for is for after having washed my car and taken the majority of the water off with a towel, this can help to get the remaining water out of the cracks and panel joins (This isn’t as good as an airline, but it does do the job and reduces watermarks). Overall I would recommend this product and for people to consider it for other applications.

Very pleased with this unit. Great for clearing the leafs in our yard, driveway and flower beds. It’s also very good for drying all the irritating water traps when you dry your car – no more dripping mirrors or number plates!
One slight design flaw – the inlet vent is on the left hand side of the body – not great if your right handed as it’s easy to block it with your body or clothing as you work. You realise straight away of course and adjust quickly but it could still be better! No problem for our left handed friends though!

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersNever ever bought dewalt before but saw the reviews on this product and a lot of my work mates have dewalt tools so went for it when it arrived and I took it out of the box my other half said it looks like a toy! Put it together and let her loose in the garden with it she changed her mind. The power that it gave was brilliant however the best bit from her point of view was how light it was the other blowers we had were really heavy so she could only use it for a very short spells a few minutes the only reason she stopped this time was because the battery ran down we hadn’t charged it up straight out of the box as soon as the battery was re charged she was out there again I bought it to bring back to Cyprus to use in our villa and of course it breaks down into three part so went into my hand luggage bag. What none fo the other previews mentioned was that there are attachments so you can blow up Lilo etc and they are made of rubber and big so you cant lose them or break them brillia
