This is relatively easy to set up, and certainly worth the effort considering the enjoyment my grandsons get form it. It’s not overly large, which is ideal in the small garden, and fine for just the two players. It offers two options, an open goal, or a divided goal with specific targets to aim for, simply flip it over to choose.

Easy enough to set up. Great in the garden. Love it.

Got this for my nephew as I thought it would be great for him come the summer for something to play with in the garden. He’s very much into football and that typical little boy! This was really simple to set up the netting came as one piece that you just feed the poles through. The poles came pre ready in 2 sets, they were already held together with string and you feed the pole into the connector on the next pole. The set came with garden pegs to hold it sturdy in the ground.
Great ‘pop up’ goal set! Comes with its own storage bag too so easy to take out with you for a game on the beach or park and easy to store away!

Handy training equipment and outdoor game.

This football goal can be used either as an open goal or for shooting practice with scoring.

It is easy to put together with fibre-glass poles that slot together like most tent poles. It come with fixings that can be pushed or hammered into the ground to hold the goal in place.

It can be quickly folded down and packed away in the carry bag that is supplied so it is easily transported and taken to a park or beach. The kids love it.

This is a decent fold up portable goal ideal for my sons aged 8 & 6. I set it up for them and found it easy. It’s a sturdy frame and all the components are quality, even down to the ground stakes being heavy duty, not flimsy metal. Which essentially means that this goal is really utilisable as I don’t have to worry about them being too rough with it.
Once done with, it collapses town to a manageable size which means it can be stored in the shed on the wall without taking up loads of room. The bag it comes with is very durable too which shows the manufacturers commitment to quality.
It stands up really well in use. It has the two options of using the net or using the goalie obstruction material. This material is durable and tough. It’s really securely sewn in, so the ball can be booted at it over and over and I’m confident it will be fine. It has to go against the ground when using the net option but due to its thickness it is very durable.
The frame components are all heavy duty. The poles are thick and durable and the two L shaped corner joists are very strongly constructed.
I’m very impressed with the quality of this and I’m confident it will last years of use. I feel it justifies its high asking price.

    Very durable and tough.

Right from the get-go, let’s just get the elephant out of the room. The instructions are useless, best thing to do is to just work it out, it’ll be a lot quicker and less painful.

Once up, it’s a nice little practice goal, but I would say it more for the little ones, as the bigger ones will either brake it or be annoyed at the size.

It is a good practice goal, and the material is well made, but improvements can be made

    Pros:
    – Nice sturdy net which is constructed with tent style poles which makes it more robust than pop up alternatives
    – You get 2 in 1. A normal football net and a shooting practice net
    – Easy to set up. You just simple threat the tent poles through the orange framing and off you go
    – Comes with tent pegs to keep the goal in place (you will need these on windy days and to stop the goal moving from being hit by the ball)

    Cons:
    – The storage bag is large. They way you fold the net up is easy and when you pull it from the bag you just simply unfold it and it’s ready to go. But I would have preferred if the bag was long and thin, it would have taken some work to unclip a tent peg in each of the goals, but it would mean that it wouldn’t have taken up as much space and it would have made it easier to carry!

All in all, this is a great football net for young children and it will get many years of use.

I hope you find this review helpful.

    Great for young kids

At the time of purchase this was priced quite high at 59.99. It has since been reduced and I think the new price is reflective of the product. It is very easy to assemble, you put the rods together much like a tent, they are very good quality and sturdy. Once the structure is built which doesn’t take long at all, you can secure it to the soft ground using the U shaped pegs. My boys are 4 & 6, so this really is the perfect size for them. 80cm high and 120cm in length. They will soon outgrow this though at this size, but it is great for playing and learning some goal scoring skills as they make a start in footballing. I have a very small garden so having the bag to fold the goal into and carry to the park is a huge plus! It only weighs 1kg, easily transportable. We can sling it in the car and take it to friends gardens also. The design is great, having the option to turn the goal over and have the target practice. The boys love it and have hours of fun playing. I hope it’ll be robust enough to last a couple of years, the quality suggests it will be. Very happy with this and would recommend.

The “Portable Football Goal With Training Target” from “EzMove” is a two-in-one kids’ football goal that offers both a small portable goal, as well as a training session target.

Setting the goal up for the first time is a doddle. It’s fairly self-explanatory how this is done, however, there are instructions clearly showing you how to do this as well.

The goal has been specifically designed to be portable, so you can easily take it down to the beach or along to the park or whatever.

Putting the goal together took me around two-minutes from start to finish. Doing the set up was relatively easy and frustration free.

The goal is very lightweight so needs securing down to the ground whenever you use it. It could also get damaged should an adult accidentally fall onto it in the throes of a kids v adults game!

The target practice side of the goal is excellent. The five target holes are all of a good size for kids to have a good go with practicing their shots with. There’s also scores for the five targets — the highest scores being for the top corners.

The goal isn’t very big. It’s roughly 1.2m wide and 0.8m tall. This is easily adequate for a young child. For a child of around 10 — 13 years old, this may be a tad too small. For a 4 — 10 years, this is probably spot on.

All in all, I’ve been very happy with the goal. The quality of the portable goal is excellent. It’s very lightweight and thus very portable. It’s also very easy to set up and take down — so perfect for taking away on camping trips or the like.

This perfect for kids who want to kick a ball around in the garden.

It’s not adult size but that’s not necessary.

It’s a lightweight goal that was assembled in no time. On dry days we are using it outside. My kids even talked about taking it in the car on holiday so they can play football in France too

This is a nice kids outdoor product that I gladly recommend

So the nephew is well into his football goes to some academy and all sorts, so, as you can imagine when I got these posts for him he absolutely flipped!

Obviously coming in pieces it was a breeze to set up (instructions are provided on the listing) but, once it was built, it did look a bit on the small side. The badly photoshopped pictures in the listing do make it look bigger, but dimensions are available so you are forewarned.

Anyway, once up the goal post can be flipped to be used as a more traditional goal post and net or to be used for practicing penalties or more accurate striking, which is a very, very nice touch.

The whole thing is very lightweight and can be folded down quickly (after some initial effort) and placed into the storage bag supplied for transporting and set up elsewhere.

    This is good.

First time you will have to assemble this, but after that it can be folded down and placed inside the carry bag.
Instructions are rubbish, but easy enough to set up.
Suited for ages 10 and under I would say.
    Great for all surfaces.

Having football mad grandchildren is great, but at times they lose interest, so having something that they can use to practice their shooting skills, build their score and have bragging rights between their siblings.

Inside the box you get a carry case, the net that is in 2 sections joined together (a standard goal and a target/points section), plus the poles and pegs to anchor this to the ground. Putting together was relatively easy, and certainly 1 of the sections was very easy. Getting the last pole to connect was quite difficult to get the last piece to click into place (although that was probably me not doing it right). The good thing is that once it is connected, you can fold it over and it stores great in the carry case for the next time you want to use it, hence the “pop up” name).

This is a great set of goals to use in the garden, or out and about. As it folds flat you can keep it on the boot floor of the car for when you go on a picnic to give the kids something to do. It is also very light and easy to carry about in the carry case although smaller children will struggle as the case is quite large, like a big tortilla chip (but flat).

A great item. Could possibly be a little bigger, as its quite small (aimed at kids) and as an adult you kind of stand like a giant in it (so no goals past me) but if it was bigger then it wouldn’t be as portable. Recommended to keep the kids entertained.

Relatively easy to set up, good for shot practice and for a good old kick abou

We have had several goals of this type over the last few years. They all suffered with either joints rusting loose or poles snapping. I don’t think that this will be a problem with this one.

The goal is made up of two ‘loops’ of plastic held together with elastic poles. (the type of thing you get in tents). These poles are lightweight but appear to have some significant strength to them. To hold these two loops together there are two bent tubes, which you slide the poles in to. Prior to sliding the poles into these tubes you need to slide them in to the net holder in the little pouch that has been sewn into the edge for this purpose.

The instructions on the outside of the box don’t quite marry up with the components within the box, certainly the holder bag (I received) is almost the same size as the goal. This isn’t a major problem for me as it /will/ keep the goal flat, and we have places we can store flat things. However, if your only storage is a small area this might be a consideration (please see the pictures for the large orange bag).

When constructed the goal held up well, I didn’t use the pegs as the ground was frozen solid at the time, but they are of a sturdy construction and would be usable under normal circumstances.

The holes in the target practice sheet are just about large enough to allow a smaller football through.

Either for practice in the back garden, or for taking away for fun at a park or the beach, this is a good little goal.

    Lightweight goal for friendly kickabouts/practice

This is quite a small goal but perfect for young children. Older ones can use it for target practice, whether with friends or on their own. It’s said to be pop-up but in fact it folds. It’s erected in a similar way to a small tent, so is quite easy but not as quick as I’d expect from “pop-up”. Still, it only takes five minutes.

Folding it after use is straightforward too, and then it’s easily stored indoors for protection from the elements. We have a couple of bigger goals (the ones with tubular white plastic frames). They don’t much like being left outside all year; the frames become brittle and fragile while the nets go green with algae. So it’s good to be able to store this on inside.

And, of course, because it folds, it’s easily taken to the park or beach. Perhaps put it in a suitcase and take it on holiday? Haha.

The instructions that come with it are poor, so refer to the ones in the listing, including the video. They make it much easier, although actually it’s fairly intuitive anyway, especially if you’ve dealt with a modern tent.

Being able to choose between a target and open goal doubles the fun. It’s fairly sturdy but I wouldn’t use a heavy football with it. A lightweight plastic one would be more suitable.

Overall, I’m pleased with this and it’ll be well-used. That price though — 47.69 after 10% voucher. It really needs to come down below 40 to make it competitive, but that’s the only reason I’ve deducted a star.

  18. Paul M. Eng says:

Ability to switch from open goal to a target makes this a winner versus simple goals. It’s a well made product for younger children but might suffer if used by older ones with full-size/weight footballs.

Ability to fold for transport and storage is a big benefit over many goals, not that it’s without competitors. They say it’s pop-up but I’d say folding. It’s erected in a similar way to a small tent, so is quite easy to deal with but not as quick as “pop-up” suggests. Still, it only takes five minutes.

The instructions in the listing are quite good, in contrast to those with the product. Not that erecting and folding it are difficult. You could probably read through the instructions in the listing and then follow them without further reference to them.

Quality product it may be but, at almost 50, it seems uncompetitive vs. similar goals. I also feel “pop-up” in the description is misleading. Pop-up implies it springs into shape in seconds. It doesn’t. I don’t particularly mind that it doesn’t pop up but it’s annoying that the description suggest it does. So, just four stars, but it’s a good buy goal if they price it attractively

I got this ‘pop up’ goal to use in the park with my young nephews, age 5,8 &11. They absolutely love it.
Firstly, the assembly instructions (which are printed on the box) are completely useless, as are the multiple misspellings on the ‘warmings’!
I managed to figure out the assembly quite quickly as it’s similar to putting up a tent. There are 2 identical support poles which you thread through the surround of the goal net. Once both the poles are in position, you attach them to the fixed black right angled corner supports. It literally took me 6 minutes to put up from scratch first time.
To put away, you hold both (black) corners, with the goal almost touching your body, pull one side in towards your belly button, whilst keeping the other hand still, then pull the other hand in to your belly button as well. You should then have a triangular shape in front of you which fits perfectly into the storage bag.
Once packed away, the goal is very portable and lightweight to carry, but quite a big and an awkward shape, especially for a child. As it’s almost flat, it’s quite easy to store.
The goal itself is a reasonable size for a kick about in the park with the kids. I like that it has a side with a net and another with a target, so you could play alone or incorporate different ‘point scoring’ games. It comes with pegs to secure to the ground and prevent it from being accidentally moved or knocked over.
It’s not the most heavy duty of goals and probably wouldn’t stand up to constant heavy/hard impacts from flying footballs, but for the intended purpose of use by children, it should be fine.
All in all a decent ‘pop up’ portable goal that’s probably a little expensive for the quality and size. I’ve got a slightly bigger/sturdier one that cost about 10 less!

Great for a kick about in the park with kids

The instructions were not the best but I deciphered them and got it all set up in around 20 mins.
I did think this would be a bit bigger but it does function really well and will keep the (smaller) kids happy for hours on end.
Overall very pleased with it the quality appears good but time will tell on that.
