    Better than the 7a,
    Brighter and more vibrant screen
    Glass back
    Bigger screen
Only downside to this is the charging, it is dismal at best,
2hr if it’s not in use but use it and it can easily take in excess of 8hr,
No joke and I have all the charging settings set to charge as fast as it ca

My son had his pixel4a knocked out of his hand in October and the screen smashed. I got this for him as his main Christmas present. It is a bigger screen than the 4a, it is faster and the camera is better. He loves it. I had a choice of the pixel 7a or 7 and there doesn’t seem to be much difference in specs although I think the pixewl 7 may be slightly better and as the price difference was mninimal at the time of purchase, I got the Pixel 7. My son is very happy

Phone has been great so far besides one noticable bug where the screen will sometimes go green. Only fix seems to be to lock and unlock phone and problem resolved for the time being. Boyfriend has same model and experiences same glitch

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA good modern phone featuring a fairly vanilla version of Android which I think preferable. Good camera but battery life not special. Max three days even with minimal use. Good value if one can get it at a discount which is likely now the Pixels 7a and 8 are out.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLike all Google Products, if you want your life to be under the radar, this is not the phone to buy, but apart from that, its a good size and compact. I’ve compared it against my Xaomi Mi10 Pro & that is actually better in terms of usability / functionality and is probably 25% cheaper, but again then you are ‘potentially’ releasing your data to the Chinese, so it all depends who you like less.

Had I Pixel 6a but decided to go for this Pixel 7. Fingerprint reader is ok after you train it. Face unlock works even with me having a big beard. I have always preferred stock Android so tend to go for these phones. There’s nothing here personally that irks me enough to complain, at the price I bought it for.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLots of great features and super camera with lots of bells and whistles for editing. First new phone in 6 years so a big jump for me and so much more responsive. Organising aps was a little time consuming but now very happy. Finger print recognition works very well for me once I’d learned to press firmly. Battery life seems to be a tad low but could be my initial heavy use. I’d give 4.5 if allowed.

I received my Google Pixel 7 two weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised by the early delivery. Thus far, I haven’t encountered any major problems with the phone. One standout feature that has really impressed me is the photo quality, which I would rate at a solid 8/10. The camera capabilities have exceeded my expectations, and I’m looking forward to exploring more of what this phone has to offer.

Made the switch from IPhone to Google as I was becoming bored of the Apple ecosystem and it’s way of doing things.
Managed to pick up the pixel 7 for just 390 and it’s been the purchase of my life, It took no getting used to and I can proudly say that I prefer it to my iPhone in every possible way.

I came from a dying iPhone which is what pushed me to go for a pixel phone. I do not regret at all!

I have no qualms with it and it’s honestly been working super fast for me.

If you’re looking for a decent flagship phone I’d highly recommend this! Since the release of the pixel 8 is near, the pixel 7 at its current price is a steal!

First is a great phone in almost every way. Pocketable and fairly light. Software is great and most things run very well apart from the odd heavy game.
The bit that sucks is again the finger print reader and face unlock isn’t great either. I had the pixel 6 and that had the same issue. I’m waiting to see if an update will fix it otherwise I’m going the Samsung S series or the iPhone route. It’s a pity really and everything else is great.

I looked at a lot of reviews before buying this phone and most were pretty positive so it appeared to be an excellent buy.

Delivery was quick taking only a couple of days. I wondered if there would be any ‘surprises’ as it was so much cheaper than other sellers, but it was a perfectly normal Pixel 7 in its factory sealed box.

Having been using it for a couple of weeks my experience has been positive, in fact my only complaint is that the battery life is not brillian needing to be charged at least once a day.

I have no problem with the fingerprint reader though it is quite finnicky registering a fingerpront, but once done it works faultlessly. Also I’ve not noticed it running hot.

The build quallty is good but the fact it has gorilla glass for the screen and rear of the phone makes it slippery and I strongly recommend a decent case to protect it.

My old phone was a OnePlus Nord which did not impress me and this Pixel phone is so much better. I also like the reassurance of a decent level of dust and water resistance.

Photos have be pretty good and fine for my purposes.

I would have no reservations about buyiing another pixel phone in the future.

The phone isn’t as big in the hand as my old Samsung Note 9 but it’s plenty big enough.
I like the work feature- switches off apps that would be a distraction (you choose which) and if you choose to use them it gives you 5 min at a time. You can always not use this feature. Google updates for years, no bloatware, very responsive and no lag. I got the phone and Google earbuds on a black Friday deal, paying monthly, success!

So I’ve been using this phone for a week, and so far I am satisfied with the performance. I’ve read a lot of negative reviews before purchasing. The major complains were bugs, poor battery, problems with unlocking the screen. I can attest that I do struggle a bit with unlocking the screen, but it isn’t critical. The battery indeed doesn’t last all day, I think I need to adjust energy saving mode. Also the phone does heat up quite a lot when I watch videos. But overall, I like the performance – haven’t noticed any bugs. I like how all the Google services are integrated.
My major complain actually would be the camera. Don’t get me wrong, it is good. But Google Pixel is marketed as if it has one of the best cameras in the market, compared or even better than iPhone.
In reality, the camera isn’t even comparable to iPhone 12, let alone newer models. The shots are over-exposed and there is no manual mode to adjust it. My Huawei Mate 10 I had in 2018 (!) was a much more pleasant experience, and the quality isn’t that different. Pixel is mediocre for both landscape shots made in good lighting and close-ups. The frontal camera selfies are actually not bad. Haven’t tried the main camera for portraits though.
All in all, it is a solid phone for the price. The price I bought it with on discount. If there was no discount, I would save up another 200 pounds and bought an iPhone or Samsung.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot the Pixel 7 for 150 off the usual price. Bargain or what. Think it might be a US one but who cares they’re all the same. Was put off by the negative comments – finger print sensor doesn’t work, gobbles battery in two and a half minutes, gives third degree burns – the usual ones. It’s certainly not my experience. Wanted it over the 7a because wireless charging on the 7 is much better. And it is. Only gripe is wireless Android Auto doesn’t work with my BMW. It’ll be me, so off to the dealer to sort it for me.

eh battery life is unstable at first and doesnt show full 24h as advertised but after 2 days of use it is a durable phone and also efficient and the battery has been stable now adays but it also overheats quite a bit but if in need of an in buget phone that is a great allrounder would 100 percent recomend

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI bought the Pixel 7 at 390 to get access to a camera on par with iPhone, well it’s almost as good but clarity of video is lacking, however a video can be edited Insitu that’s useful. Android 13 removes the quick start camera icon on the lock screen. Only work around I can find is leave the camera app open and double press the power button from the Lock Screen – but see below.
The seamless system updates are extremely slow, it is best to let the update run overnight. It’s not possible to change the layout of the main screen, the Google search bar and date/time/weather widget is permanent they cannot be moved. The mobile service icons 4g or 5g are no longer displayed at top of screen when inside a building. It’s not possible to add a copyright caption on photos taken with the Pixel 7.
I have to wonder why Google would take away and impose these features – who asks for the changes? Pixel has a market share about 2% in the UK – it deserves to be higher. Google are buying market share with discounts. Better to listen to users and stop imposing on them. But all else is good besides my niggles.

Updated after several weeks ownership to 5* rating. Some niggles the 4G/5G icon appears when outside the house. Switched on face detect – it’s great for getting straight to camera when camera app is left open. Screen is a fast responder with superb colour rendition. Camera editing gives an extensive range of options turning so so pictures beyond recognition. The video mode has grown on me with use and challenging iPhone – close but at the price differential it’s nicely acceptable. A well worthwhile purchase.

Video and photo added straight from Pixel 7.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pixel 7 Good and Slightly Annoying

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI don’t write a lot of product reviews on Amazon, but the reviews I read helped me so I thought I’d add mine to the mix.

I was upgrading from the Huwaei P30 pro, and my main things I was looking for was good camera, fast operating system, decent battery, and decent size. It ticks all the above.

The camera is as excellent as you read, I’ve taken some amazing photos and the editing software seems amazing (I think I’ve just scratched the surface). At its time (2019) the P30 was seen as a front runner in camera phones and I can see a marked difference.

I really like the operating system, it takes a while to learn (and I still am) but it makes a lot of things a lot easier. Initially the info bar at the top of the home screen annoyed me but now I quite like it. What I also don’t like is it doesn’t have bloatware – just the Google stuff I usually use, there’s not some map app I won’t use. What I can’t speak to is gaming – I don’t play games and not sure what it would be like powerwise for them but for everyday Apps news, mail it is pretty snappy.

The battery (and charging time) are very good. I can go a day taking loads of photos and I’ll still be on 30 something % at the end on the day. Word of warning though, the phone only comes with a charging cable not plug socket (I’ve since learnt all phones have to do that) what it did mean is I had to go out and buy a charger as the new USB didn’t fit the chargers I had.

Size wise for me personally it is great. I wanted something which was a bit smaller but was still a decent size to watch films etc. This does it for me. I’m a big guy with big hands and I don’t find the keyboard too small.

So based on the above it’s a great phone and I’m happy with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersTerrific value on Prime Day
No more iPhones after 9 years
Google Pixel 7 ~ amazing value, quality, photos, screen, facilities and value for money.
The picking up of contacts, apps, photos and music from your old Apple is a smart idea.
It doesn’t get every t perfect, but it gets you off to a good start.
The screen is magnificent and sorting it out is a couple of evenings for me.
I have so many apps and passwords ~ CRAZY
The on screen keyboard is excellent and I love having the numbers at the top rather than change screens.
Very few false letters with my typing, the extra real estate really helps.
I’m liking the Android OS, different but similar, so no problem changing.
All my apps are working so far, just some need to wait for my new SIM card.
Banking is working fine and wallet is so so similar to iOS
Check out Google Pixel phones for excellent value for money, great build quality, a wonderful camera system.
On Amazon Prime Day it was half the price of a similar specification iPhone ~ the Pixel 7 is WORTH EVERY PENNY.

5.0 out of 5 stars Replacing my iPhone with a Pixel 7 ~ it’s a great phone and much better value

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersHaving used Xiomi phones for past few years, wanted to try Pixle for better photo quality. The phone built is good, but sad charging speeds, my previous Xiomi has 120 watts charging 6 times faster still cheaper than Pixle. Another horrible fail was fingerprint sensor, they could have kept on the rear or on the power button but on screen is such a flop, it only works half the time and also very slow. I wish Google will spend more time to focus on these issues for their next gen phones. Rest of the features are good in the phone. Photography is really good comapared to phones of similar price.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersAs soon as you boot up the Pixel 7 you can feel the quality of it, from the keyboard to the camera. The phone has been designed with lots of fun little quirks which vary from the usual standard fare you get from the homogeneity of smartphones these days. The camera is as good as advertised and takes crystal clear pictures with plenty of functionality for more advanced video and picture taking. I’ve really enjoyed using the Pixel 7 after moving over from my OnePlus 6.

I deduct a star from my rating due to 2 reasons. The first being that the battery life I have found to be rather disappointing for a new phone. It will easily get you through the day if not overtaxed, but struggles if gaming, playing music via Bluetooth headphones or extensively using Google maps. No fast charge adaptability also seems like a strange omission in these days.

My second issue is the fingerprint scanner which is very unreliable. I’ve added the thumbprint in with 3 different versions and the phone still fails to pick it up a lot of the time. Compared to the OnePlus 6 fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone which always picked up my fingerprint, this has been pretty disappointing.

I’m very impressed with this phone. It’s a little weighty but it feels solid with a good material casing. It’s very sleek and professional both visually and the actual userface. The camera is fantastic. The fingerprint scanner hasn’t been very efficient is my only critism.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNo issue with this supplier at all, delivery was quoted as three days, however the phone was delivered in just a day. I’m happy with the phone, I’d researched it before, as easily found the finger print recognition is not 100%, however in conjuction with the face ID, the phone most of the time doesn’t require a pin entry.

  30. Jesiker says:

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’m loving the phone and have no regrets buying it, the phones fluidity is great and loving the customisation. The photo and video is top tier.

The downside is that the biometrics need work. Facial recognition only works in bright light, I had previously had an iPhone and the facial recognition is much better on the iPhone. The fingerprint is pretty awful, it doesn’t seem to recognise my finger print most of the time.

Thats my only complaint but overall the phone is worth it considering how much cheaper it is compare to its competitors

  31. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI like that it is fast, responsive, and feels good. The screen size is just fine for me, moving down from my last phone of 6.5″, as I wanted something more like a phone rather than a tablet. It is good to have Android 13 on it, so getting latest features.

I don’t like that you cannot remove the date off the home screen. Also, you can’t remove the search bar across the bottom of the home screen. In the box you get just a cable for charging with USB-C at both ends, which if you do not have where to plug it, then is useless.

It is very slippery when you hold it in your hand and feels like you will drop it, or it will slip off your hand.

The battery is OK so far. Here in the UK, having second SIM as an eSIM is a bit of a pain, but hopefully the networks will catch-up soon.

Coming from Motorolla, will I stay with Google for my next phone, so far I am not sure. Ask me in a year’ time.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSo far I love it.
The two main reasons I went for this phone was price and lack of bloatware.
I’m very happy on both counts.

Also transfering data from my old phone to this one was in incredibly easy.

The only downside I have is face unlock doesn’t work in low light.
