I bought this for my 93 yo mother to replace her 23 year old microwave that finally gave up the ghost. She’s happy so I’m happy and it will probably outlast her.
I’m getting used to using the oven but found it a bit primitive to begin with. I didn’t realise when I purchased it there was no clock I like a clock on the microwave. But as I say I have got used to it now and it works well does what I want it for so yes happy with it. Delivery was prompt and delivery man carried it into the kitchen so that was a bonus.
I cannot understand why the microwave inside measures are not available even the manufacturer website.
I have taken pictures to sort our this issue.
I bought this to replace my Kenwood which had rusted quite badly. The main thing I liked about the Kenwood was the quick start feature, where you can press, say, the number 2 on the pad and it will immediately start cooking on full power for 2 mins. Most other microwaves I looked at didn’t have this very handy feature – you tend to have to press several buttons, turn a dial first, or maybe set the power level each time, or it’s only for 30 secs. So this requirement pretty much narrowed it down to a few Hisense products. (I think Kenwood still do one but it’s too small). I also like the memory function which remembers two settings if you regularly microwave something for a time that isn’t a whole number, and it’s big enough for a large plate or a packet of rice.
There are some minus points
– The build quality seems a bit poor, as it rattles when opening/closing the door
– The grill is not very good
– It gets quite wet on the insides due to steam. Not sure if this is just something I’m more observant of since my last one probably rusted due to not wiping away the steam, so I keep a cloth nearby to wipe the insides. Depends what you’re cooking, it’s not every time.
However given the quick start feature I mentioned, I would still buy this again.
It was quick to setup and fits in exactly same place as the previous microwave unit.
The old microwave never moved about when being operated, button presses or door open/close.
This new unit slides around on the worktop and currently has to be held down to stop it moving about.
I am looking at possibility of removing the feet from off the old microwave and reusing/recycling them on the new unit. I know I should not have to but slip sliding away when trying to operate the microwave is not what I expect.
Why are the feet made of a hard plastic?
Hence the new unit is great and worthy of only four stars.
Update: I checked the feet, see photo of one of the four hard plastic feet. They are not easily removed, so I have opted for using double sided tape and an off-cut of rubber roofing material. The microwave no longer slip slides away when being operated.
Perhaps the designers will take notice of this issue and resolve it for us end users.
Really lovely looking its a good microwave tried all sorts in it popcorn pasta etc. The buttons are a bit stiff at first you do have to press more then a second but think because it’s new but overall I really like it so obviously glad I pick this one ( good price too)
All in all the very happy with i
I’m very pleased with this product I don’t use it much but it suits my requirements. It’s no problem to use just pop my food in and off it goes. So easy. No problems
Now to the microwave itself – it looks good, it is tall enough inside that microwave rice packets stand up properly without falling over. It is easy to use however the touch buttons are not very responsive, I have got used to them but my daughter has trouble using them. It is easy to clean.
All in all I am happy with the microwave
Disappointed picture of microwave suggests unit is silver! What a shock when opening box! However, it’s very black. Mirrored door has slight silver colour.
Unit looks quite high tech, again good value considering cost, but overall black!
Seems easy to use.
I am extremely happy with my 20 Litre Solo Microwave Oven. It has a sleek design and is very easy to use. The 20 litre capacity is perfect for my needs and the cooking power is impressive. It heats up food quickly and evenly, and the defrost function is very useful. The microwave is also very easy to clean and maintain. Overall, I highly recommend this microwave oven to anyone in need of a reliable and user-friendly appliance for their kitchen.
I heats very fast. The grill function is not at all clear, but it works.
You can not cook pizza in it – at least we haven’t managed that trick yet, just pressing the pizza button is not all there is to it.
One mug of a drink is heated well at drink level 1, level 2 may boil it if it’s already a bit warm.
The first appliance we got rattled badly, the replacement is quite quiet running.
Good purchase. Poor instructions.
You can quick start it as each button represents a time if you are in a hurry
ie 1 = 1 min etc
Start button is 30secs .
So 2 :30 mins can be activated by pressing 2 (mins )and then immediately start (30secs) and so on .
Reheat your coffee in 30 secs by just pressing start.
It has the usual controls you would hope for .
It is a little light so it moved as I was heavy handed when I first pressed it . But I easily adapted to it and It has been easy to clea
Very pleased with this microwave so far. Ideal for use where space is limited. Clean design and easy to operate. Small criticism in that the buttons do need quite a hard press to operate. Cooking time good for 700watt model. Nice feature that interior light automatically goes out if door is left open after about 5 min.
Light which comes on when door open also switches off after a short time unlike more expensive models I’ve had previously which is good.
Nice little microwave, just ideal size for the two of us, not to fiddly to figure out the settings eithe
So far looks great value for the money we have paid just waiting for the two years Guarantee and i will be a happy bunny
