Habe es gleich mal an der Wii probiert und muss sagen,dass ich begeistert bin. Das Bild ist nichtmehr “verwaschen” wie bei dem AV-HDMI Konverter. Dadurch macht das Spielen gleich wieder mehr Spa. Ich weiss nicht ob es in der Beschreibung steht aber der HDMI Ausgang ist Grn beleuchtet sobald die Konsole eingeschaltet ist. Wrde den Adapter jeden weiter Empfehlen. Habe auch noch einen fr die Dreamcast gekauft, da bin ich aber noch nicht dazu gekommen ihn zu probieren.
Originally bought an adapter that plugged directly in to the back of the Wii but it made it not fit in the cabinet. This one is awesome because it’s an actual cable which is easier to manipulate.
Dieser adapter nimmt nur die native auflsung der Wii und gibt das bild weiter ohne irgendwelche verschlimmbessende interpolation. Ein 480p signal sieht nunmal auf einem 65zoll TV etwas gewhnungsbedrftig aus… Normal!

Prodotto come da descrizione, facile da usare, basta inserirlo alla Wii, e collegare il cavo HDMI. Per me compatibile su un televisore 4K nuovo della Samsung, e su un TV Monitor sempre Samsung. Certo l’immagine e leggermente sfuocata perch comunque non fa un vero scaler da 480p a 1080p, sembrerebbe pi un 1080i (interlacciato). Comunque niente a che vedere con gli altri prodotti pi economici, questo risulta stabile e l’immagine non salta.

The WII has such a classic library of games, that are still worth playing. However it is a pain having to go back to a screen with SD connectors. Most recent screen do not have these ports anymore. So this is ideal, you can plug into any HDMI screen.
It comes well packaged and with instructions ( who reads them ?). You just plug it in and it works. Picture quality is excellent. Back to playing Super Mario Galaxy and RE 4 ( Wiii Version) as well as all of the GC games. Love it.
Excellent quality and value for money. Instantly connects to devices and holds signal/communication well. Seems well made and set to last.

Really like this product this cable was enabled us to get our weed back out and start using it regularly. The Wii was put away as we had cables training everywhere this enables us to use HDMI and makes the whole connection process just so much easier. The adaptor cable is well constructed, It does not require a separate USB power suppy to operate. The picture quality was excellent as was the sound. If you use a Wii on your new TV you will find this cable just so much easier.
I still had the component connection (RGB) so there wasn’t a very noticeable upgrade in picture quality but it is much easier to connect to your TV.
Could be useful for people with TVs that only have HDMI connectors.

The Nintendo Wii at this point is officially old school, but we still play with ours. It came out of the cupboard when the children were born and now gets semi regular use as the games are still great fun and hold up enough, especially the first party games. What you may notice is that the old scart no longer fits in modern TVs and you need a way of converting the image. This ‘Kaico Wii HDMI Adapter for use with Nintendo Wii Consoles’ is the type of tool required.
It is a simple piece of kit that fits into the back of the Wii, the other end is a HDMI that you can then use with your own HDMI cable to plug into the TV. It is simple to install and was instantly recognised by both the Wii and TV with no issues. The quality of the picture seems fine to me, but the Wii already looks dated. I liked the length of this lead. My old convertor was a small one that was tricky to plug a HDMI into. This version has a little length to it making it easier to reach. I will say that at thirty pounds it is expensive and about as much as I would be willing to pay for a Wii itself. However, for many it will now be an essential piece of hit to play their Wii on a modern TV.

This adapter arrived in a compact box with a clear description on the back and an instruction leaflet inside. The purpose of this cable is to replace the component AV cables which were used to connect the Wii console to older TV’s. In my photo you can see the old red/white/yellow connections which this product replaces.
The adapter was straightforward to connect to our newer style TV. Please note that you do have to supply your own HDMI cable, as this is the adapter only.
The picture appeared very clear, with no noticeable degradation of picture quality or colour.
I think this is a great adapter which not only looks tidier, but works to breathe new life into your old Wii setup. The only reason I have awarded 4 stars rather than 5 is that at the current price of 29.99 it is a little expensive.
I’ve never had much success with the cheaper adapters so pretty much wrote off using the Wii. This adapter costs more but doesn’t seem to have the ghosting issues that other adapters have. It does make the picture a little darker than I remember but that’s a small price to pay to be able to get some use out of all my old games.

HDMI adapter for use with Nintendo Wii which is used to replace the standard component lead supplied by Nintendo. The listing is a bit misleading, you’ll still need to provide your own HDMI Lead as this adapter has a female HDMI input which you’ll need to plug your lead in to.
It’s quite expensive at 29.99 in my opinion, however it is useful, especially for newer TV’s which may not have the correct inputs. One thing I have noticed which is mentioned in other reviews is that it has quite a dark output, this isn’t the end of the world but it’s something to be aware of if you are interested in purchasing this adapter.
Didn’t realise my TV didn’t have them 3 things that the lead has that comes with the wii. This saved the day and works great, just plug the HDMI cable into it and works great. Picture was much better than I thought also. Definitely recommend
I was a little sceptical when I started testing this, but honestly it really is close to indistinguishable from the firstparty Wii component video cables. The picture quality is the same – more on that later – and I get the same latency as I do on my relatively quick LG TV’s analogue jacks. (That’s about 2-3 frames in 480p, and 4-6 frames in 480i and 576i.) It doesn’t support 240p mode used by some emulator and Virtual Console games, but given that few entire TVs can pull that off, I won’t hold that against it. Incidentally, this produces a full-range RGB signal, so if you want to retain detail in dark scenes set your TV accordingly.
The big caveat is that early Wiis (like mine) had very dark component video output and the picture settings for your HDMI inputs on a TV may not give you enough leeway to brighten up the picture. In my case I definitely have more scope to brighten the image on the analogue component input: if you have an older Wii and you have the option of using Component, consider sticking with it. If you’ve got an older Wii and haven’t used component cables before, don’t be surprised if the image is murkier than you’re used to.
However, that is essentially unavoidable in an adapter that uses component video. The only other options are bright but blurry composite video, which you’ll see on many cheap Wii to HDMI adaptors, and RGB, which would offer a bright, clear picture limited to interlaced video. To the best of my knowledge no manufacturer has made an RGB-based Wii to HDMI adapter. This is as good as you’re going to get.
Kaico Have gone way and above the stands Wii to HD plug-in converters that I’ve used in the past – this adapter is well made, doesn’t break the video or audio and doesn’t add blur or ghosting to the running image.
It doesn’t seem to be a perfect one for one image though, with the saturation being slightly off, resulting in a darker processed image. This wasn’t night and day level of difference but I did notice a noticeable different when comparing some screen recording footage of the same game side by side.
All in all though, it’s still a great way to get the best out of one Nintendos most interesting and versatile consoles.
Wii is an old gaming console, this product is just an adapter that lets you plug it in the Nintendo Wii and then you need a hdmi cable to plug into the adapter then into your TV. These days TV’s don’t usually come with all the S-video ports or composite audio video RCA connection and scart etc.. If you ever come across a TV that doesn’t support these, then you can use this adapter with a hdmi cable, (Hdmi is sold seperately though). After you have a hdmi cable this would plug into this adapter and that worked for my old Nintnedo Wii console which I haven’t used in ages, but always wanted an adapter to get it working again.
Can’t remember how good the picture quality was before, so I can’t really comment on that, but it worked and that was good enough for me. The quality of the adapter seems good, it’s gold plated connectors also help with picture quality and prevent corrosion better than steel. Anything wrong with this? So far just the cable length of the adapter is rather short, so I’d need a longer hdmi cable to fix that.
Lastly want to note, you won’t get 1080p with this on a wii console, the max resolution game I ever played is 576i, I don’t think I ever played a game that can support 576p, but this adapter states it can do that too. Brightness and anything else adjusted it typically a TV thing, don’t expect this to be great quality just becuase it’s using hdmi. A Wii console on a new TV will not look as good as an old TV, because Wii is not made for LCD’s or above. This adapter is just to get the console Nintendo Wii working on a new TV, that doesn’t support the correct peripherals. I didn’t try this on a Wii-U as it doesn’t have the same connections, it is only for the Wii.

This is a very good adapter that works perfectly on my PAL Wii in HDTV 480p mode. I haven’t tested it with 480i signals because I’m not sure why I’d need to.
There are no ghost lines present and the image quality is pretty good. However, you will immediately notice that the image is very, VERY dark. This is a bit of a shame but I have got used to playing Mario Kart Wii with a dark image. It does make driving certain tracks pretty difficult as it is hard to see what I’m meant to be doing.
This is definitely a much more reliable option than the standard cheap Wii2HDMIs that just ruin the image quality and cause ghost lines. If you don’t mind a dark image, then this is probably the converter for you.
If you want to try to brighten the image in post (if you are recording your gameplay), then this results in weird colours where the contrast and brightness just looks off. I’d suggest keeping colour correction quite minimal because of this.
In terms of input lag, this adapter doesn’t add much at all. I used to use component cables and convert that signal to HDMI and this method had pretty much no input latency. The Kaico seems to have very slightly more delay. It is clear that if you care a lot about input latency, then using either composite or component cables and NOT converting to HDMI will result in the least noticable delay.
Having said all this, I am still looking for a ‘perfect’ Wii2HDMI converter. The previous ones have either had noticable input delay, ghost lines, or weird colours, and this one is too dark. I am considering either a Hyperkin Cable or Mayflash converter, but am not sure about their compatibility with PAL Wiis, which is why I’ll probably stick with the Kaico adapter.

I had the original dongle that stuck out of the wii and that worked great. But I always thought it put strain on the dongle and back of the wii. I’ve got the equivalent one with a flexible cable for the ps2 so decided to get the equivalent for the wii. Works well. Thanks kaico.
Nel mio caso sono stato costretto a cercare un dispositivo che mi permettesse di convertire l’uscita audio-video in HDMI in quanto le nuove TV non hanno pi le interfacce analogiche.

Sembrano tutti cloni di se stessi e rimarchiati e hanno tutte lo stesso difetto: linee diagonali che viaggiano sullo schermo come succedeva sui vecchi TV CRT. evidente che chi le usa ed soddisfatto, mettendo oltretutto commenti positivi, non ha mai usato il cavo composito Nintendo (non quello incluso nella Wii ma quello opzionale con 5 RCA).
Questo adattatore permette di avere la stessa qualit del cavo composito YPbPr quindi si apprezza la massima qualit grafica (seppur modesta) della Wii.
Non sono un ingegnere ma non un caso se questo adattatore ha un cavo.. permette a mio parere di separare in maniera efficace le frequenze dell’interfaccia composita, poi grazie anche all’uso di un elaboratore video di qualit il risultato eccellente.
Per ora posso dire che il migliore, valuter nel tempo l’affidabilit, complimenti a Kaico!

Component to HDMI converters add signal interference and input lag. Most direct Wii to HDMI adapters allow signal interference. This Kaico adapter has an attached cable, which allows an mClassic attached after it to fit in your furniture.
Especially with most new tvs not including component inputs this is a good option for hdmi. Picture is sharp, clean and colourful
