The built quality is great. It feels durable and premium. Nicely designed. Order for my Quest 2 and it fits well. Also comfortable to wear for hours. A decent upgrade in my opinion.

Arrived well-packaged. The price is slightly expensive I think.
Overall, I am happy to own it and will recommend.

This strap is very good, in addition to being comfortable, it helps to have more hours of battery life on the OCULUS. The battery has great durability. Perfect!

My daughter has tested a few head straps for oculus and says this is one of best.Really comfortable to wear and simple to adjust especially useful if sharing headset both qualities original/official head strap fails in.The battery works well and gives average of 2hrs extra playtime. She likes LED lights on battery that give gaming look as well as show remaining power in battery. She is very happy and recommends.Reasonably priced

I found the straps on the Quest 2 wasn’t comfy to wear, this head strap is so much comfier, with the added bonus of having a battery pack allowing more play time.

    Good quality

The Kuject Design replacement head strap addresses two common issues with the Meta Quest 2: discomfort from the head strap and short battery life.

The package includes the head strap with padding and rear grip, a separate battery pack, and instructions for fitting.

Installing the strap is straightforward and adjustable with a wheel at the back or a quick-release button.

The battery has a rubber grip and is a 4000 mAh capacity, which doubles the playtime compared to the internal Quest 2 battery.

The RGB lighting is not necessary and serves as a marketing feature.

It’s important to note that while the battery pack provides a trickle charge, it doesn’t prevent the Quest 2 from losing battery during use.

One slight disadvantage, which is not surprising, is that the battery affects the headset’s balance, which is not present in a rear-mounted battery setup.

Overall, the Kuject Design replacement head strap is a comfortable solution for extended gaming sessions.

The first and possibly one of the most important aspects of this head strap & rechargeable battery setup and that is the battery capacity. The capacity is stated as 4,000mAh, which is no doubt correct, but this isn’t the power you get out of the battery. It is the power it holds. The important figure is the “rated capacity”, what you get out. I can’t find anything on this in the little information that comes with it but there is a calculation that can be used. In this case it’s 3.7V X 4000mAh 5V. We then get 2,960mAh. It’s actually going to be less than that, as some power is lost in converting the power. As a general rule, if you take the rated capacity as being approx. 2/3rds of the capacity, it’s a good guide. Although some can be as efficient as 90% and others as inefficient as 60%. If we work on around 2,666mAh as the rated capacity, then you have a much better idea of how long it’s going to power the Quest 2.

I did check how fast the battery was charging with the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable and it was charging at 1.93A — I would class anything equal to or above 2.4A to be fast-charging. There are three blue LEDs at the charging port end that show the battery status. The cable is nylon braided and should be quite durable and when not in use, there a blank port to put the USB-C connector in for storage. When you turn the battery on, a oblong LED light comes on and scrolls through different colours. The battery simply slides onto one of the side arms.

The over-the-head head strap is nicely padded and is attached and adjust by the way of Velcro straps. At the rear is the adjuster ring, to lengthen or shorten the arm length.

Overall build quality does look to e decent enough, although I’m unable to comment on how well this is going last in the medium to long-term.

The only slight downside and not an unexpected one is that the balance of the headset is affected by the battery. Something you wouldn’t have with a rear mount battery setup.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.

Decent enough quality. Rated capacity more like 2,700mAh. Affects headset balance

If you have a Meta Quest 2, you will be fully aware of its 2 biggest failings. The first is the Head strap being quite uncomfortable and the second is the battery life that gives you about 2.5 hours of play time before needing a charge. This offering from Kuject Design covers both of those failings in this replacement head strap.

Inside the box you get the head strap with the top padding and rear rubber grip, the separate battery pack and instructions. Fitting is relatively straight forward. Remove the original head strap and face cover , insert the left and right arms into the clips, and put the top padding through the slot behind the face cover, then put the cover back on and that’s it. To adjust the strap you can either rotate the wheel at the back to loosen or tighten the strap, or you can press the button in the middle which releases the grip and allows you to slide the strap in and out which is far quicker.

The battery slides over the left side arm so that is easy to plug into the power socket. The battery has a rubber grip that slides over the arm, however is relatively easy to pull off, or knock off. The battery is also a 4000 mAh battery so this will give you extended game time (the internal Quest 2 battery is 3640 mAh) so this offering will (should) double that play time.

The things I don’t like about this strap are the RGB lighting…why? I don’t understand why there is RGB lighting on it as you cannot see it. I guess others can see it whilst you are playing, but I think this is a marketing person saying “Hey, everybody likes RGB lighting, lets add that”. You can remove this to charge without stopping your gaming sessions, and I would assume the seller has replacement batteries available.

One other thing to note. When you have a battery head strap, this will not stop your Quest from losing battery, but it simply applies a trickle charge to the quest so the battery takes longer to discharge (If you start at 100%, and go into a game, you will likely lose about 10% battery inside the quest in about 30 minutes or so) so that’s something to remember

Other than that though this is a comfortable replacement head strap to make longer gaming sessions better.

A good, comfortable replacement Quest 2 head strap, with optional battery pack

The main concerns for VR headsets are the comfort and weight distribution of the VR Headset. Although the Oculus isn’t bad, continued use did give me wearing fatigue and my neck started to ache.
This head strap, however, has alleviated this problem. The weight distribution is very good, depending on the game the constant head movement hasn’t given me as much strain as usual and the comfort is exceptional. I guess that is due to the clever design of the dial that tightens and loosen incrementally to give to firm hold.
The added battery is also a nice touch.
Overall a very well-designed head strap that reduces fatigue and helps you get even more immersed in whatever game you are playing.

This brand is new to me but right out of the box it’s clear this is well made. I was a little worried the 4000mAh battery wouldn’t be sufficient, but it does last well and honestly I think it’s a good balance between battery capacity and weight – probably hit the sweet spot before it would become too heavy. It’s easy to adjust and easy enough to get on/off, and the rotating dial to tighten is very well designed and made. Overall I think this is a great product, and it’s also reduced in price since I ordered it, which is a bonus and makes it great value at the current (50) price. Definitely worth checking out.

Well made and comfortable to wear and use

    This arrived well-packed.
This head strap is a must for the Quest 2. It gives more comfort and the battery is great.
The quality seems good and it is easy to fit.
You can get an extra 4 hours, give or take
It is a bit pricey at 49.99
But overall a good working product

Great fun to use, easy to set up, comfortable to use for my older boy and he literally just loves it, he can interact in 3D world with his friends and helping me to keep fit as well, the sound and graphics are great for the price too.

This is extremely comfortable and balances the weight of the Oculus perfectly. I wasn’t expecting much but the build quality and overall durability are quite promising. The easy-to-use twist dial that allows you to get in and out of the headset easily is a thankful feature. This is great as it allows for multiple users to switch the headset easily and quickly without the messing around you would have to do with the original and others I have used.

The bulk of the battery pack is quite noticeable if you play any games connected to your PC while stationary in a chair but it shouldn’t be too much of a concern. This one is really great for getting that “just right” fit and angle for those who are quite particular.

The battery life is great. On a full charge, you can play for at least up to 6 hours depending on the game of course. It’s comfortable and nicely padded on the back where the battery sits so long periods of usage are not a problem

It’s an easy install on the oculus and It seems to even the load on your face from the weight from front to back making wearing the oculus more comfortable as mentioned. All in all, I would highly recommend this head strap. It is solid most importantly comfortable!

    Hope this review helps.

    Surprisingly Comfortable & Solid!

I like this headset strap a lot.

Very comfortable and was perfect for what I was looking for.

    The quality is very adequate.

    Adjustment knob works great.

Now my small headed wife can use it too.

It’s a fairly easy swap from the one that came with the Meta Quest unit.

Once you remove the old strap without breaking the arms (take your time), it smooth sailing the rest of the way.

The You Tube video was much more informative and made the installation a breeze.

I am really impressed with this. The strap is so well padded with a very soft c for table cover that is very comfortable. The added battery to the strap is a great idea and is a great added time to your charged Oculus. This really enhances my to the games and I feel worth every penny.

This Quest headset has a built in 4,000mAh battery, which allows for an extra 2-4 hours of gaming before needing to be recharged. There are better capacity battery headsets available, but 4,000mAh isn’t bad.

I find the headset itself comfortable and easy to get on and off, with the strap being adjustable via the dial on the back. A little bit of setup is required out of the box, which doesn’t take long.

All in all, it’s a good Quest headset, but on the expensive side at 69.99, which was the price at time of writing. Although, there is currently a 20 off voucher on offer.

I hope you found this review helpful.

This strap makes it so much enjoyable to play the quest VR. The ones it comes with is just elastic so this is a welcome upgrade. It was easy to fit. You do need to pull apart the headset a bit and attach the sides but it was easy enough to do. The weight is evenly distributed so you can play longer. It also does a good job of staying on your head with little slippage. It’s easy to adjust with one hand as well. The battery means you can play for longer. This is light weight and small as well and you don’t notice it’s there. It’s great and a worthy purchase if you have the quest 2.

Bought it for my Quest 2 before I even got it as I’d heard the strap that comes with it is a nuisance to adjust if you want to share the headset. Worn it now with the headset for at least 5 or 6 hours with no problems, it fits comfortably and is easy to adjust. It was a little fiddly to attach to the headset, but if you’re struggling with the instructions there are YouTube videos that will show you better how to do it. Definitely value for money, I don’t see why you’d need the expensive one from the Quest store because this one does everything you need.

The head strap gives a better fit and quickly. When playing with others it can be annoying to keep taking it off and on and adjusting. This makes it quick and easy. The fit is snug and keeps you feeling safe when making a lot of movement so you can focus on the game rather than the wiggling headset. Would 100% recommend this head strap.

My only issue with the Quest 2 was the straps that it came with which were uncomfortable and I could not get the headset to sit comfortably without putting pressure on my head. This head strap solved all of those issues, quick and easy to assemble and attach to the headset and extremely comfortable to use. A definite must buy for anyone with the Quest 2
