In meinen Augen kam das Set viel zu spt auf den Markt. Dennoch musste ich mir einfach dieses tolle Set bestellen. Die Kombinationsmglichkeiten sind grandios, und ich hatte stundenlangen Spa beim Bauen. Dieses Set ist perfekt fr Lego- und Wikinger-Fans jeden Alters. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!
Mit Lego macht man nichts falsch. Die Mglichkeit drei verschiedene Elemente zu bauen ist top!

Schade ist auch, dass bei diesem Creatorset doch einige Teile in unntiger Farbe enthalten sind. Warum? Zur Orientierung beim Bau braucht es das nicht, es macht nur das Wiederverwenden des Sets fr eigene Kreationen schwieriger.

Got this for our Son for Christmas. He sat and built it in silence on Christmas morning. He built the dragon and other bits to go with it as it is like a 3 in 1 lego build. Kept our Son happy for a few hours Christmas morning. He then opened rest of his presents. LOL

This kit will certainly make a BIG gift for anyone who loves lego, though it is targeted at those age 9+ – that has never stopped my 5 and 7 year olds – they love a challenge and have built pirate ships and islands from their uncle’s unused 30 year old sets! This kit being of ‘creator’ variety allows for 3 different models to be built but that shouldn’t prevent imagination taking over as is often the case. My only gripe with these very specific kits is too many bespoke mouldings and the risk of mixing with other kits rendering some models impossible to subsequently complete – but that’s more down to my OCD! As an adult spending time making such a large model only to then disassemble is painful much like a jigsaw but then this is not aimed at me, so the kids for the most part won’t feel too hard done by when it’s time to tidy up. At close to 100 it’s a big box event for a special occasion but that shouldn’t get in the way of a lego enthusiast.

Qu’il s’agisse de reproductions de maisons, de monuments ou encore d’engins de course, de transport ou de chantier, tous ces moments d’attention restent longtemps en mmoire, la fois par le temps qu’on y a consacr que par l’observation ou la contemplation du rsultat obtenu.
A 10 ans il faut dj des trsors de patience et de minutie pour russir de tels assemblages car, mme s’il ne s’agit que du simple recopiage d’un mode d’emploi trs dtaill, cet ouvrage ncessite concentration et adresse d’excution.
Alors, quel que soit le choix qu’aura fait son enfant entre le drakkar et son monstre marin, l’atelier du forgeron ou le loup de lgende qui appelle au combat, nul doute qu’il en restera des traces. Il se souviendra longtemps du thme et des efforts pour surmonter le dcouragement, il gardera souvenir des 7 sachets de petites pices et de l’aventure imaginaire, s’interrogera sur la faon d’engager le combat.
Quoi qu’il en soit chacune et chacun aura appris comment assembler les morceaux avec les tenons sans se pincer ni se tromper et sera curieux de savoir combien de conqurants pouvait contenir un drakkar, comment faisait-on pour fabriquer des pes et quelles taient ces btes menaantes qu’on devait dbusquer ?
Il y a toutes sortes de thmes qu’on trouve en petits morceaux dans les sachets des boites Lego et choisir un objet c’est dj montrer une inclinaison.
Alors dans ce carton, lequel des thmes va-t-il (elle) choisir: l’exploration et sa qute de richesses et d’expriences, la construction d’un atelier d’artisanat ou bien la connaissance du danger ?
C’est tonnant une seule boite qui contient ces trois dveloppements diffrents, mais un proverbe ne dit-il pas que toutes les couleurs du paon sont dans l’uf ?
This really is a superb Lego set. It’s quite challenging to build, but worth the effort; our son spent about three days solid on this, and the fantastic end result is now on permanent display on a shelf in his bedroom. This is what Lego is all about.
Fortunately this set is much simpler, 30 years on.
A lovely design on the Viking headed boat, and the sail is bricks / plastic and good looking.
The sea monster is great too, set up your mini figures to battle it.
Not built the alternative sets yet – a dragon house, or a giant wolf!

This was an amazing creator set. My son 7 loves Lego and really engaged with this one. He loved the Viking and the dragons and it created some great play set ups.
There design of the Lego figures was fab.
My son loves the long boat the best but also enjoyed the other set ups and with it being a creator set it prolongs the interest.
The Creator sets are a lot of fun to build and I always find the original design is always the best! Having the ability to create other models straight out of the box enables us hours of more building fun! As always top quality Lego merchandise very happy with this Viking lego set! for Valhalla!
I really enjoyed this build. It didn’t take long to build but it is a nice large legomset. I love the sea serpent as well. The ship has some great details and some brilliant mini figures on board. It is a 3 in 1 set so it can be made into 3 different models and you get the instructions with it that guides you through how to do this. I have also found out you can download the manuals online too. This maybe a pricey build but I love this as it’s unique and timeless and one of the best builds I’ve done.
As an adult I’m impressed with this playset as it requires creativity and responsibility. Also I liked that you get everything you need [including figurines], so the kids can build and then play with it straight out of the box, without needing to spend more money on extra pieces – although you can feel free to add additional pieces from other Lego sets, as your imagination allows.
As for ages it’s intended for I can advice that our 14 year old became bored with this set soon after completing construction of each scene and branded it as “a kiddie toy”, whilst it’s still popular with the 11 year old – this is definitely something for someone who is already a fan of Lego, a collector, or someone with an interest in vikings – it’s not just a “I thought you’d like this” gift.
I still really recommend this set as a gift for any Lego collector aged 10 and above, for when you need something for those that you know will be getting what they want from other people, so you don’t want to get them yet another plaything; the colours, design, sense of responsibility, and creative idea appeal to most people.
I am an AFOL.
Using this set I can build my own Grendel. He can then attack the Great Hall and battle with Beowulf. For this some imagination will have to be applied. Well that’s what makes Lego so special.
I grew up with Lego during the 70’s. Back then the pieces were nowhere near the complexity of todays.

Anyway, this set allows me to recreate some of the Norsk myths. One of the female characters will be Freyja of the Asynjur. Luckily, the woman across the road has several cats… I’m sure she won’t miss one or two if I borrow them to pull Freyja’s chariot… (lol).
When a group of us visited Stockholm, 3 of them spent too much time in ABBA – THE MUSEUM. I could have stayed much longer. But it meant we didn’t visit the VASA museum. I can now build this and show them something much more interesting.
On a more important note, this is a big set in a big box. However, the FINISHed… NorWay, another Scandinavian pun… doesn’t seem that big.
And of course, Lego is the most important of all inventions to come from Denmark.
The long ship doesn’t float. I wonder if I located a Lego keel from a ferry (late 70’s) would it float then?
Finally, it is a great set. And one to fire the imagination.
Easy to follow manual (and a free e-manual can be downloaded from the Lego website under Help, for future protection against losing the original).
3-in-1 allows model building as one might be a jigsaw enthusiast and not have issues about dismantling for the fun of assembly again later.
Lego City builders might want this to add to their landscapes as a Theme Park Attraction.
