I recently received the LEGO Princess Peach’s Castle and was pleasantly surprised by the building experience. Putting it together was a fun challenge, and the modular design added an extra layer of creativity. However, I was disappointed with the stability of the castle, as it was not as sturdy as I expected for such a large set. The lack of physical instructions was made up for by the exceptional app with clear and easy to follow instructions. Overall, while the finished product could have been better in terms of stability, the fun building experience and the helpful app instructions earn it 4 stars from me!

    Consiglio.

    Solita qualità (e prezzo) LEGO

The little one really wanted this for Xmas so had to be done. For the price though it ain’t a lot at all but I guess that’s the same with most things these days. Isn’t the strongest lego set when assembled.

This set was quite the experience for sure, With a lot of twists and turns in this build adult supervision is definitely something that’s necessary for something on this scale. It’s a very large set and requires a lot of space (I’m trying to figure out where to put it while writing this review) But the overall playability of this set is wonderful! With Ludwig, Bowser and a bob-omb it’s definitely a worthy set for sure (I adore the mini bowser build)

In terms of sturdiness this one is fairly sturdy and manages to hold its own unless you’re trying to move it, The walls that connect to the doors are a bit shaky and it would have been nice if there was a better way to connect them but it’s not really a deal breaker, Though I did see some people say that the throne room at the back was really unstable, I have to disagree as it holds up really well and feels quite sturdy even when using Peach to activate the mechanism revealing bowser!

The mechanism really surprised me as when I was assembling it I noticed a lot of interesting building techniques which is why I would recommend the help of an adult if a child is assembling this set as missing a piece could result in the mechanism not functioning properly. The build took me around 4 to 5 hours in total to finish and it was a really pleasant experience, It also looks lovely as a display piece and has some really nice printed tiles (such as the bob-omb battlefield painting from Super Mario 64) The Stained “Glass” Window, which is made of plastic, Is just Perfect and probably one of my favourite pieces from this set!

I would highly recommend this set to anyone that’s looking for a fun build, a beautiful display piece or even a child looking for hours of imaginative play time. (Peach figure sold separately for anyone wondering)

5.0 out of 5 stars An Immaculate Piece for any Super Mario fan!

Bellissimo

This is an expansion kit to add onto the fun you’ll need one of these sets: 71360/ 71387/71403.
Lego isnt cheap but is very good quality and generally holds its value. This set offers some great interactive features.
This will keep kids entertained well past the building if it and a fun interactive add on.
Really like that a tablet can be used for the instructions.
Perfect gift for a Lego and/or a Super Mario fa

This brings back so many memories about the classic games I used to play when I was little. It is nice dad instead of staying connected to the computer or the phone you get to actually do some thing and build some thing from the classic game. Not only that but if you combine it with a pack with a figurine you even get to play the course and get the money and pretend you’re in the game.
It is a really nice castle and fun to do.

Although this is an expansion set – it is larger with a lot of pieces. We had the Peaches starter set amongst others, and this is an excellent addition. It took a while to put together. My children are finding there is a lot of play to be had out of the set.

    Would recommend.

Now it has to be said that we are a complete family of Lego nuts in this household and have amassed an enormous collection of the brightly coloured bricks over the years. We always try to leave unbiased reviews and I will be honest and say that, as much as we love our Lego, not all sets are created equally. We have had a few horrendously designed sets in the past which, to be fair, isn’t usually the case so we were expecting good things from this set. We are also huge Mario fans and we have previously purchased almost the entire 1st wave set of Lego Mario builds that were originally released including the all important starter set. The 2nd wave featured and focused heavily on Luigi and this 3rd wave set now balances the male gender bias and showcases the indomitable Princess Peach in all her glory along with the paraphernalia and scene settings you would come to associate with her Royal loveliness. All 3 series are great in their own right but just remember to play with any of these sets and take full advantage of the interactive features you ultimately need to purchase a starter set and own a smartphone. Without access to a smartphone this particular set just becomes a more than usual expensive set of themed bricks. Now, whilst the odd set occasionally doesn’t stack up quite as well as it should or could, I am pleased to say that in this case at least, Lego have given the public a great set with a huge amount of versatility and playability. Here is our collective family feedback and final thoughts having played with the set for a good solid month.

Princess Peaches Castle play-set is presented here ideally as an accompaniment to one of the main sets required for you to be able to use any of these expansion packs. It does however feel like one of the better sets in this 3rd wave release, at least, in my humble opinion it does. Character wise, you receive no less than 5 different figures which include the iconic Bowser himself as well as great looking Ludwig and Toadette characters. I love all of the characters and their interactive elements and I have to say that Bowser has been particularly well done and was highly enjoyable to build, with his trademark angry facial expression. Ludwig’s hair is really amusing and Toadette’s likeness had been captured perfectly. All of the character pieces can be moved freely around and positioned independently as you interact and play with your final build. There are so many different play aspects built into this set including a secret room, revealed by a spinning wall piece, and a Goomba hidden inside a giant cake. He is revealed by jumping on a small activation panel that causes him to explode out of the top of the cake which is utterly hilarious! That play piece was an instant hit with my children, and it has to be said, me too. The fifth and final figure includes a Bob-omb, although I will add that this character has previously been available in multiple other sets so is not really unique for this particular setup. A tad disappointing but certainly not a major complaint. One unique and rather pleasing inclusion in this set was the build of a special yellow pipe, which when activated plays the classic Peaches castle theme tune, that any one who has ever played with, or owned a Mario game will instantly recognise. We had immense fun and my kids, and I, really loved the final set as well as enjoying large portions of the build on this one too.

I do find that part of the draw to these themed sets is the ability to grow your Mario character line up by way of purchasing different sets. Inevitably you will always receive a few duplicates but I would have like to have seen one of the lesser common character pieces included here. Lego have played it smart though as you will most likely feel the urge and need (or at least your children will) to expand your character roster, and at some point this urge will propel you to your nearest stockist to part with some of your hard earned cash simply to add a new and iconic character. Try as you may, you can’t escape your destiny – lol!

The usual challenges of collecting coins and defeating enemies applies, and as per the Mario and Luigi sets which have preceded this iteration of the brand and theme, all play is supposed to be completed within a set time limit to allow Peach, or as this is an expansion set. Mario or Luigi to also ‘run the course’. Collecting digital coins, knocking off and subsequently jumping on the digital codes placed on your enemies backs is clearly the main aim of the game, although to fully reap the rewards of this you will need to own a smart phone. Without a phone you are limited on being able to make the most of the full interactive play element to which these sets have been designed and centred around. As I alluded to earlier in my review, when viewed as a basic Lego set, i.e not used alongside a smart phone, the set is actually pretty expensive on a pence per piece ratio. The manufacturers have clearly and purposefully aimed this set towards a digitally engaged customer demographic. It’s clever marketing and really helps bring Lego into the 21st century in terms of trying to future proof and develop the brand, whilst gaining and capturing new, and old, users coming to the toy brick marketplace.

There are a number of additional expansion sets that you can purchase separately to further grow your ‘world’. What is great here though is that as well as these great new sets, all of the previous Mario and Luigi sets are fully backwards compatible with your new Princess Peach wave of sets and vice-versa. If, like our household, you own several other similar sets, the interactive play element here is hugely expansive and incredibly engaging for your children.

In summary, this Princess Peaches Castle Expansion set is absolutely brilliant. I really can’t find anything to fault or dislike with this product at all. It’s marketed and aimed at ages 7+ on the box and it’s pretty simple and easy to build, although I would suggest any child under 7 years old would more than likely need some adult support and guidance to help put this together. Our youngest is 5 and a half and he has no issues using his iPad to follow along with the build instructions, and he loves seeing his digital world grow alongside his physical one. I think Lego have got the mark just right with this set although there is one small caveat here, as with most Lego themes to be fair, it can become quite expensive to keep up with every release in this theme. You don’t technically need to collect all the sets although it’s a compelling part of Lego’s success story here and you will undoubtedly find your children asking you for the next in the line set at some point in the coming weeks post build. Be prepared to see you wallet take a heavy hit if you do relent though. Gulp! All else is great though and you truly won’t be disappointed. This is yet another great quality set which provides your family a significant amount of play longevity and value for money. Simple brilliant!

Absolutely great for a Super Mario and lego fan. Would make a brilliant birthday or Christmas gift. This is a large set and comes with 1216 pieces and suitable for age 8+ due to the small parts. It does take a long time to build and I found that my son got rather bored after a while. Although it looks like a stunning set, it’s a shame it takes so long to build. Peach’s Castle doesn’t actually come with a Peach figure, you need a starter set which is a let down. The instructions are colourful and really clear. I wouldn’t pay 110 for this but then again, all lego sets seem to be very expensive these days. This would make a Super Mario fan very happy.

As always with Lego, this has great attention to detail.
the packages included are numbered and the instructions are easy enough to follow.
Infact the instructions with Lego are always the best bit of making them.
All pieces fit together with ease.
Great for the targeted age range but in my opinion, it is always good to have an adult supervising a younger child, as the pieces are small and can be dangerous if not supervised, in my opinion.
Looks really good when completed and brings a sense of achievement for anyone completing it.
The package contains – 1216 pieces and keeps you busy and brings fun and enjoyment.

My five year old grandson has two main loves in his playtime, one of which is Super Mario on his Nintendo and the other is Lego of all types so what could be better for him than this set which combines the two.
I ordered this along with a starter coarse set and another expansion set as more and more sets of the series can be added to build up to a large game collection. Each of the expansion sets do require one of the Mario series starter courses but then as far as I can tell any expansion will then work alongside it.
This set is Peaches castle and is made to add onto a starter coarse, as I had ordered him the Peach starter this set went very well with it. These add-on sets don’t include the interactive figures and will require those to be purchased separately if others are wanted such as Super Mario himself. When I gave the three sets to my grandson and he had played with them for a while he did ask where Super Mario was so I had to tell him that it was a special one that came with Peach instead, lol. Later on the other interactive figures can be added maybe for birthdays or as Christmas gifts.
As with all Lego these sets are built to a high standard but do not come cheap however this series can be played along with a gaming app to make it so much more entertaining.
After giving this to my grandson along with the two expansion sets he very quickly opened all of them together and tipped the complete contents into one pile on the floor so none of us could tell anymore about which part went with which set, lol but he quite quickly managed to sort all of the pieces and with a little help built them all up.
The interactive figures require batteries to work and can then be paired via bluetooth with the app and I believe also with other figures although I couldn’t test that as we only have the one to use.
I have absolutely no idea how this game is played as he took total ownership of this from the start but what I can say is that he absolutely loves it and it keeps him entertained for hours unlike most of his other toys in which he looses interest very quickly.
Terrific fun for children and holds their interest, just be sure to purchase a starter coarse set first as this cannot be used without it.
    Recommended.

This lego set is an expansion set and needs to be added to one of three starter sets to get the full benefit of the game. It is a variation of the Super Mario Cart games on computer with real life courses.

My grandson has one of the starter sets for this so I got this for him to expand it. It is fairly easy to put together and I gave him some help in places. It is modular so it can be changed to give some variety when playing the game.

My grandson and his friends have a lot of fun with this.

Lego is such a well known brand for excellent quality building bricks, it’s ranges from such a small age to as old as you feel.
This super mario set is amazing! It mixes both Lego and mario! My partner and I love it as does my 3 year old. He doesn’t quite get it but he loves to watch and see all the characters come to life!

    This set includes:
    -A castle
    5 figures
    -Bowser,
    -Ludwig,
    -Toadette,
    -Goomba
    -Bob-omb
    -Time Block,
    -Peach stained-glass window,
-Bob-omb painting with a hidden Action Tag,
-cake with a Goomba hiding inside
Spend hours building this set and playing! Hours of fun included!
It’s definitely a larger set, you get a lot.
However it’s a little disappointing you don’t actually get mario. You need the starter pack to get him which is more money
Overall an impressive set with the Lego quality you’d expect, it is expensive but all licensed Lego collaborations are.
Definitely would recommend but just be aware you need the started set as well

My son has been collecting the Mario Lego so he was delighted to receive this impressive castle set. It took him an afternoon to build correctly, he’s 10 and managed it himself without any help.

The pieces are colourful and there’s lots of play value, especially when you add it to other sets to build the full game course – with the idea you’re playing the game but in Lego format.

We’ve added this to two other sets and this is the star out of everything he has. It’s currently priced at around 100 so is fairly pricey but the detail and everything is impressive.

An amazing castle especially when added to the other sets for a huge game! Recommended.

The built quality is good. A nice toy for kids who love lego. Order it for my nephew and he was practicing his skills. Complex to construct but not much. He needed little assistance in building it up. Once finished, it looks great. It is advanced and premium, and best for building critical thinking capabilities in children.

Arrived well-packaged as shown in the attached photos. Can be a decent gift item.
The price is expensive in my opinion.

I love Mario and I like Lego, so this was a winner for me.

It can be a little bit difficult to put together, but that’s the fun of sets like these and once finished, it looks great.

I’m not a massive fan of following instructions from an app, but that could be a benefit to some.

Bare in mind that this is an expansion set and quite expensive at 99.99, which was the price at time of writing.

All in all, it’s a good Lego set for a child or adult to put together.

I hope you found this review helpful.

This is an expansion set so can’t be used on its own. Make sure if you’re buying it for someone else they already have a starter course as it does not come with the figures needed to play.

The set took a little while to assemble however the companion app is a big help in giving instructions on how to set it up.

There are 1216 pieces included including the Bowser, Ludwig, toadette, goomba and bob-omb characters. The set is really large and has a lot of playability with an added boss battle with Bowser. It offers a good range of different actions to add to your course and is priced about right for what it is.

Flipping heck, 100 for this – I’m feeling old. But the grandsons love it, it’s interactive, it combines one of the best video games with one of the best traditional toys so good on Lego for keeping up with trends. You do need the starter kit with this to get princess Peach so the whole kit and caboodle will set you back a fair old chunk, which is why Lego always works best for Christmas and birthdays.
Well made, as you’d expect from Lego, to me it’s pretty simplistic but it goes down a storm with super mario fans, I can vouch for that!

This is an impressive piece! Honestly. Takes quite a bit of time to build, especially when there are little hands assisting but in the end, it really is worth every minute. The price is a little high for what most would spend on a toy, but there is quite a few pieces within this set. It comes with 5 characters ( 1x Bowser, 1x Ludwig, 1x Toadette, 1x Goomba and 1x Bob-omb) as well, so it’s not just the shell. Currently retailing at 114,99 at time of review and recommended for 8 years plus. 100% recommended this product!

So if you’re buying for someone else make sure they have the starter kit or someone else is getting it for them

The build is fun and straight forward to do. Much easier than the Technic one I did recently. I am, however, a little surprised at how little Lego you get for the money. Maybe a lot of that has gone into licensing fees.

Lego Super Mario, combines Lego to a very classic video game, how cool!
Everything is modular, there is a mandatory starter kit and many expansions that can be purchased separately to expand the possibilities and create new routes.
Has considerable size, with lots of new characters depicting the same Peach, but also the inevitable Bowser.
The iconic element of the castle has a splendid design, it is not surprising the attention to three-dimensional details.
Accompanied by instructions in the Lego app.
    Really amazing.

This Lego Mario set is awesome. You get a great Peaches castle play set with fantastic detail and also 5 characters including one of the main ones….Bowser which is super detailed and like a model you could just display on its own.
This is better when you have the main set to use this to expand it, but I found the kids also got just as much enjoyment out of building and playing with this set on its own. The castle has great details and little areas you play with like the spinning wall in the throne room along with the cake, bridge, and pipe. It really captures the level details from the super Mario games and has been very well built in Lego form to be fun and sturdy for kids to play with.
Overall, for 101.76 this isn’t a cheap set but getting a main character like bowser and the over 1200 pieces I thought this set was worth the money and it really is a centre piece of the kids Mario Lego set up now.

This lego set is certainly keeping my boys entertained! They are huge lego/mario fans and have similar sets to this but this is by far their favourite.
It’s not just lego! It’s a fun game too.
I found it a bit fiddly to get together but my boys and their daddy did a fab job! It’s a great way for them to interact.
The details, colour and design are excellent, I am so pleased with it.
Lego has certainly changed since I was a little girl – there’s so much more detail and engagement to be had with this.
It’s fairly big, I’m not sure where I will store it full time but for now I’m just enjoying watching their excited little faces as they play.
I was lucky enough to be able to get this for me boys as it is very expensive.

    This set is awesome.

The overall product is great, how it expands is brilliant.

My son enjoyed building it, but it took a few weeks, 6 hours in total, with a little adult assistance.

He loved the theme and couldn’t wait to get Mario on it to work.

This set is suitable for 8 yrs or older but younger builders may need help.

We loved that you could build via the app and could see the blocks in 3D form and rotate them to have a good look at it.

He really enjoyed the challenge of building something bigger than the usual kids kit.

The good thing is its Lego, so it you make a mistake you can go back and fix it.
