The audio and video quality are very good. I bought this to replace a cheap webcam I bought a while ago as people would tell me that I sounded very far away. Once I switched to this, all my audio problems went away.
I am a teacher and was using a visusliset for video meetings. This is a good upgrade as it’s much wider angle. Mic works well and image is crisp. Seamless with both Zoom and Teams.
Bought this during the spring offer when the price was reduced. Easy to setup and connect. Video and sound quality are excellent. Lighting is really good compared to previous camera. Also had a cover for the lens. Cant go wrong with this camera.
The camera is excellent and very easy to set up – just plug it in and off you go. My only gripe is with the attachment to the screen, which I find slips quite often so requires daily adjustment to keep the camera angled correctly. I’ve had to use a strategically placed piece of blu-tack to solve the problem.
My wife wanted a webcam for her office zooms and this was rated highly so went for it and very glad we did. It was super easy to set up and the picture quality is amazing. She loves the lens cap which is used when not on zoom meetings preventing any nefarious spying. All in all it is a good as all the reviews. If you want a webcam then you cannot go wrong with this one.
I bought a high spec mini PC to run with large-ish displays and a dual screen stand on my desk. As one has to spend a fortune for displays that come with integrated webcams, I simply opted for this product, as I’ve used the brand for years and know that both the hardware and software is reliable – a straight “plug and play”. I won’t go into any technical depth but, in a nutshell, if you know the brand and like the price, you really should go for it. The little “privacy shutter” has been annoying so far as I frequently forget to lift it up when I start my online meetings, but I believe it keeps the lens dust-free and, who knows, it might one day save you from an embarrassing moment.
You may find better on the market, but I was looking for something easy to use and reliable and this seemed to fit the bill.
I purchased this webcam towards.the end of the corona virus pandemic, in the expectation that I would be participating in a significant number of ZOOM meetings in connection with my camera club. In the event, our programme of ZOOM meetings dropped right off, so I’ve not used the webcam as often as I thought I would. During the few times I have used it however, it’s performed well, and the accompanying software seems useful.
This has been on my wish-list for a long time, I have had this for about 1-2 years now and it has been great for meetings, online proctored tests and I even managed to use for providing a live feed to my 3D printer to monitor progress. Clear quality picture and Logitech software allows for more adjustments to the Webcams’ features. You would need to sign up and have an account to access those features however it is useful.
Comparing to cheaper alternatives, it really does give that convenience, hard to realise but it makes a difference! For example a cheaper alternative I had before, didn’t even manage to install the drivers whereas this straight away was able to install drivers on my Windows PC and further enhance with their Logicam software. Logitech barely ever gives me issues. Definitely a great buy!
Wanted to step up the quality level on my YT channel. Didn’t want to overspend, this fitted in the middle and benefits from being easy to set up.
Just plug and play and away you go, just needed to change the camera setting on streamyard and the audio followed.
Good quality vision and sound. The price difference between this version and the same version without the small plastic privacy cover is ridiculous, valuing that small bit of plastic at ~20. But I was keen to have that privacy cover.
Does what it says on the tin!
High quality webcam, works either on native Windows drivers or with more functionality through Logitech Capture s/w (free download). I shopped around and this seemed to be good value for money (and a trustable brand!).
Being picky, the cable seems a little flimsy so not sure how long that will last.
Works with my iMac as well, but ultimately looking to switch to a Mac Mini where I will become more reliant on the C920. Hopefully I can get a splitter/cable to both the laptop and Mac.
This worked well, hooked up to monitor and had a Zoom meeting with 10 in a room (all visible on screen to those at home). Microphone picked up well. Only gripe is there’s little support if you have a chromebook so be wary of that.
The built in camera on my surface produces a better image most times tbh. It’s not very good at figuring out whether it should light up or darken. It’s not bad by any means, but at this price I expected better.
This camera needed no configuration or tweaks, I just plugged it in, and Teams running in the web browser found it immediately, both camera and microphone are good.
Update:
The microphone is more for conferencing with people around you, people on teams say they find me echoey and can hear more background sounds than when I’m on a headset.
Update: runs fine on fedora 35 too.
This is a decent camera for the money. It works well with my mac and delivers a crisp image. It has a tendency to hunt for focus should you move around a lot or be sitting in low light. If it’s facial recognition was smarter this would get five stars. As it stands though I am still happy with the purchase.
I have in the past purchased much cheaper webcams that promised much but delivered little in terms of picture quality. I decided to invest in this webcam after seeing it used by someone else and the investment was worth it in terms of a much better product, picture quality, ease of use and just ease of fitting it to my laptop or desktop computer. It has the added benefit of microphones and a privacy shutter. Setting it up was literally plug and go. I would buy this again.
In the never ending lockdowns from Coronavirus I decided to use this HD model with our 27″ iMacs for zoom calls and it’s been admired from the other parties. It helps to have a soft light in front of you and I use the in built mic on the unit. When I see so many journalists who end up on TV News programmes who haven’t a clue about cameras being put to air by broadcasters, they need something decent like this camera as some of the efforts should not be broadcast, the picture quality is so bad.
The camera is easily to set up and gives a much better picture than my laptops built in webcam. The microphone is also clearer than the laptops built in device. The camera bracket fits securely to both a laptop screen and larger external monitors.
The device has worked well on both Teams and Zoom calls.
The Logitech Capture software works well, allowing the picture to be easily framed and adjusted to suit the ambient lighting levels.
I bought this to improve video conferencing for work. Although the camera was more or less ‘plug and play’, there was a fair bit of fiddling to get the set up right with the other software.
The image is bright and deals well with local light imbalances. I don’t use the built in mic but it worked when tested. The lens cover is just a bit of plastic which slides on and can then be flipped up or down, so the 25-odd price loading is absurd. But it’s a useful thing to have if you can get over the inflated price.
This is undoubtedly one of the best webcams out there in this price bracket. I’d tried a couple of cheaper webcams before purchasing this one in a bid to save money but they were really poor when it came to lighting, focus, and sound. The Logitech C920S blows all of the other webcams out of the water, and isn’t too expensive either. The additional privacy shutter was a bonus as well. I’ve used this webcam with a number of different video calling software (Teams, Zoom, Skype) and have had absolutely no issues with people commenting on how good the quality of the picture is. Would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a webcam now you’re working from home more.
I have used a cheap webcam for years, but I thought it was time to splash out a bit. The image quality on this Logitech C920S is so much better than my old webcam. The microphone works very clearly too. Plug and play on W10: no problem. I decided to pay for the S version (ie with a privacy cover on the webcam) – it is useful but I don’t think it warrants being 5 extra.
Suprisingly, this version of which the camera is still the same as the other C920s (ie the original version) is cheaper despite having an extra flap accessory. I’m one of those who like to cover the lens when its not in use so appreciate the extra accesory.
Picture quality is so far very good (tend to stand out amongst others in my TEAMS meeting). The auto focus can get confused sometimes but that is because I tend to wear black shirts and my chair back rest which goes above my head is also black so it might not be able to pick up the depth of field.
Plug in and use, easy to setup and detected automatically by my Logitech Hub app which also has my mouse settings!
Pricier than budget options but still very worth while in my opinion if you use your webcam alot.
This is a great quality product … very disappointed that the privacy shutter was missing from the box when it was definitely part of this product. The option to return and refund wasn’t a good one after waiting quite a while for this as it was out of stock so thank you Amazon for a partial refund instead , sadly getting hold of a replacement quality part is proving difficult. That aside as a webcam I would recommend it.
Apparently one of the most popular webcams out there just now and, as far as picture is concerned, probably with some justification. Yet, incredibly, still not as good as the i-Phone camera, which makes you wonder why the OEM camera on the average PC – even the average Mac – has to be so third rate. Like most people, I find the Logitech’s on-board microphones to be it’s only weak point. That is, only a little better than whatever is buried into the front panel of my Asus PC. Since I bought mine the price of this item has virtually doubled, so if I were buying it now I might expect something with more sensitivity and wider dynamic range. As it is I’m now considering putting my money into a good quality webcaster’s microphone.
