The original earcups it comes with are terrible, but they also have these extra ones included in the box, it is quite possible the softest, nicest texture ever. just for that reason alone I’d buy it again. but the sound quality is also great, the headset feels and looks very high quality. overall VERY good
So I own the wire version of this headset and love it. I felt like a wireless change because the cable was annoying and thought the wired version is amazing so let’s go wireless.
It’s exactly the same great headset I love but without the cable.
Superb sound, great features, easy to use, gamer set and comfy as hell.
I’m using this for Teams call in a noisy office so is needed to omit ambient noises from the headphones and the mic.
The ear cups are comfy but do not exclude much ambient noise
The microphone is unidirectional as is excellent at NOT picking-up ambient noise
Unfortunately you can’t connect this to your laptop/PC directly via BT. You have to use the supplied dongle. That a problem as my company uses Dell laptops and they ALL have USB connectivity issues… BT works fine though.
I might keep this hand it over to someone without USB problems. Not decided ye
First of all I bought these for daily gaming . Those are GREAT just GREAT.
Music also incredible sound but lowest tones seems a bit lost but not entirely .
Build quality. Man its so nice to wear and touch them.
Battery life 25+ hours – EASY
No delays I would say at all.
I love these headphones so much. The audio quality is fantastic. The mic is top notch and instantly received comments about how good I sound. The battery last forever and it being USB C is even better. They’re so comfortable to wear that you barely notice they’re on. The lightspeed connectivity is instantly quick, I turn them on and before I’ve even put them on my head, it’s connected and playing audio. They are a bit pricey and I don’t know if they are worth the full price but I got them on sale and if you’re on the fence, I suggest you do the same.
Faultless. Get them if you can afford them.
After pain stakingly researching gaming headsets online for weeks I finally found these, which had the best results for the price I wanted to pay, bought as a christmas present for my son, recieved them quickly and was really really happy when I took them out of the box really lovely headset well made, really good sound, will update review once have used for some time: -)
I know cable headphones are still considered better with price and sound quality. But these logitech pro x wireless headphones have been amazing to use since I bought them last year. I’ve never had connection issues and the battery life still feels like new with how much I use them. I hope that if they do make a new version of these they could make a bluetooth option and a swappable battery so I dont have to keep connecting a wire to the headset like the SteelSeries Arctic Nova Pro
The sound quality on these are amazing. I’m not an audiophile so I’m probably not the best person to comment on the accuracy of the sound reproduction, what I can say is that in my experience these are fantastic.
The noise reduction is great without giving you that typical “under pressure” feeling. They are very comfortable, I did an eight hour work session yesterday and not once did they feel uncomfortable.
The only slight drawback is that they work with PC and PS5 only. However, if that is all you want then you will not be wasting your cash on these.
I would highly reccomend if you’re a daily gamer. I find that it cancels sound out quite well and gives an all good sound to your gaming experience however would not reccomend the microphone or to use the GHub app… use standard settings no blue! Would hope for 100 pounds cheaper. Not redcomended for price value but highly reccomended if found cheaper.
I tested these for a week, usually I test items close to a month to fully break into it, specially headsets, but for me personally it was unbearable… I’d wear this pair of headsets and my jaw would go numb on the amount of clamp force they have, no matter how I’d put them on my small head, it got so bad to the point I’d go to sleep and I still felt that force on my jaw and head, even after trying to loose them up.
I returned them for a normal clamp force headset, but overall they’re great quality, that’s the only thing I’d recommend to keep in mind.
Great build quality, USB-C charging, the microphone was rated badly by my friends but other than that good headset, however, G-Hub needs to add some quality of life stuff for this headset, tones should play when the battery level is low, or add a taskbar battery level like with the G502 wireless, along with the headset taking forever to reconnect after idling, mine also seems to stay on after my pc has been turned off, which then drains the battery overnight. Quite annoying
So I had a really great set of headphones in the HyperX Revolver S for nearly 5 years which has Dolby Audio built in which were incredible considering how long they’ve lasted but I’ve wanted to go wireless for a while. I did some research and this seemed to be getting the best reviews for the money.
I got this on sale for 140 which I now think is really good value.
Audio quality is strong but not top tier. Fortunately you can use the software to tune the audio to what type of game you are playing which brings it back nearer to what a purist would want.
If you just want wireless and a good to great level of audio quality, I’d 10/10 recommend this. Styling is great. Headset is comfortable and the buttons on the left side are easy to use and distinguish from when it’s on your head.
So, I’m sitting here at what was 02:36. Absolutely exhausted from a 12 hour shift at work, which has been even more exhausting as I’ve been covering for my manager, that finished 6 hours ago. Trying to make some kind of excuse to stay awake longer, some game I can manage the will to play, or something to watch that might be able to keep me awake enough, to be able to continue feeling these headphones on my head.
I was a little gutted at the downsize of the cups, having my lobes stretched 2cm, but that’s a me problem. Also, this does not take away from the absolute comfort of these things!
Those plush velour ear cups that come with the headphones, should be industry standard for anything that needs to go on your head. Now I know that’s not possible, but I was really looking forward to these, and wow.. I’m trying to think of an excuse to be able to convince myself to stay awake longer, because I really don’t want to take them off. I feel like my head is being hugged by the headphones, they’re so comfy. So if you don’t like your head, or comfort, don’t get these.
Now the sound quality, nothing short of fantastic so far. I’ve not played about with the 7.1, I’ve read it’s good, but I can’t comment sorry. Basic sound though, is great. From gaming, to music, to films, etc.
The mic? Well, everyone says I sound better in Discord, more clear and crisp. Not as good as my Blue Yeti of course, but good enough.
Review from about 14 hours’ worth of use. If anything in my review changes, I’ll come back. Also, if I don’t come back, assume the 7.1 is good.
Happy gaming, whatever you game on.
The sound quality is great, non-BT wireless means no lag, which is very good as well.
However, at this price, I would expect a *far* better mic. This mic quality is not very good.
After a few minutes of not using it, the headset will go into “sleep” and the only way to wake it up seems to be to toggle the hardware switch off and on again. Here too I would expect a much better solution from a headset at this price. Battery life seems fine.
All in all a good device, I’d recommend it. Just expected fewer mistakes on such an expensive product.
I’m 33. I’m not a hardcore or competitive gamer anymore, I just don’t have the time, so if you are, this review isn’t for you. When I get chance to have a game, I just want to relax. I also do some solo development work as a hobby, so I listen to a lot of music.
I wanted a decent sounding wireless headset. I have a wired Phillips Fidelio X2HR with a VModa Boom Pro attached at the moment. I hate wires, but they sound pretty good. I’m just not a fan of the wires or open backs too much.
These look very nice out of the box. They don’t look flashy, they aren’t filled with RGB. They look pretty classy if I’m being honest. They feel well built, I don’t have any concerns about the build quality. They look a bit like the Hyper X Cloud II’s in terms of build which I’ve had a couple of in the past.
One negative when putting them on is that I have a big, long head. I put these on at the maximum the headband will allow me to and they feel a tad tight. I’m sure once the pleather has softened up, these should get more comfortable.
A large negative is the sound out of the box. If you’re using G HUB, go to advanced EQ’s and play with them – trust me. I’ve read reviews and comments elsewhere saying out of the box they are great and they have the best settings. I wholeheartedly disagree.
Again, I’m no longer a competitive gamer, so this might be wrong to say, but when I put a song on, or game music plays, the default ‘Flat’ and ‘Bass Boost’ settings are possibly the muddiest sounding in any headphones I’ve ever experienced, and at this point, I’ve had a lot of headphones (much to my wife’s annoyance).
Thankfully, the advanced EQ has let me spend a few hours playing with the settings, and I have a much brighter, natural sound to pretty much everything. I’ve attached images of my settings to this review, in case you want to try them. I have a feeling however, that each headset might be a bit unique in that aspect and what I perceive as sounding good might not be what someone else would like.
I haven’t tried the microphone, but as with most wireless, I hear they’re not too great – so my expectations aren’t high, but this wasn’t high on my list of priorities, so any half decent microphone will be good for me.
There is a nice looking case it comes with, the USB C charging cable looks to be good quality.
The expected battery life states 24 hours; which is more than enough for my needs. I don’t pump these out at maximum volume, so that battery life should be about right.
The volume scroll on the headset doesn’t seem to work however, but I think this is more to do with the G HUB software or the firmware it’s updated the headset with, I’ll have a look further in to that later. I have a way to adjust volume on my keyboard anyway, so not a big deal right now.
Would I recommended these for a filthy casual gamer like I’ve become? Probably not. As a bit of a gadget addict I’d probably buy the Arctis Pro Wireless over these, however they are pricey and has been out of stock for some time and I got fed up of waiting.
Will these do for me? Despite being a little pricey, yes. I like pleather closed headphones. I like my music, I like gaming when I get a chance to these days, I like being able to get up in a hurry when the baby tries to do something he shouldn’t, without forgetting there is wire and yanking them off my head and these seem like they’ll be a good all-rounder for me.
Solid construction and excellent quality sound. My only gripe is to do with the balance of in game volume and speech. Speech is generally very quiet against other in game sounds.
I’m sure it is to do with the mixer settings but, the associated software is ridiculously over complicated and causes functions to stop working, so I do not reccomend downloading it.
I have managed to find the right balance in most games now and it works perfectly well in Skype and Zoom.
I have had the wired version of this which had similar sound and a much better mic. The wireless Pro X headphones however offer great convenience. The look great on a headphone stand and the battery easily lasts a full day of work and gaming. The convenience of not having wires is amazing too. Can eat at my desk and not have to take my headphones off with greasy hands as i can keep my headphones on. They also connect immediately when in range and i have never had connection issues with them. Logitechs lightspeed technology is for sure impressive. Literally takes half a second and 1 push of a button to connect.
Mic quality is pretty bad however, blue voice doesnt help and my friends have told me it actually makes me sound worse. Its decent enough to get by for discord but if you had a decent mic before your friends will definitely notice the downgrade in quality.
Overall they look great, excellent sound and for pin pointing where someone is on FPS games, charge fast and very convenient. Go for the wireless version if you dont mind the poor mic or use a stand alone mic anyway.
Pros:
– Great connection stability. No problems at a desk, and still works in the next room.
– Comfy and fits even my big head with room to spare. I wear these for 10+ hours a day with no issues.
– Battery life is decent (I charge them overnight and get a full day’s use at 40-50% volume).
– Decent audio quality.
– Sound isolation is decent, it easily blots out the TV behind me when on.
– No RGB (why have it eat up battery life when you can’t see it?)
– Actually looks like grown up headphones and not a power rangers prop
– Lots of mic EQ options
Cons:
– No USB-C or 3.5mm audio/mic connection.
– Mic is only average (The mic EQ settings help, but only do so much)
– Audio needs some EQ fiddling to get right (I had to drop sub-bass and mids before it sounded right)
– Small amount of white noise when no audio playing. Cannot hear when sound is playing though.
– Not as loud as other headsets. Maybe to improve battery life.
– Some devices like cheap bluetooth transmitters and microwaves can cause issues. Easily avoided though.
– You need to toggle the power switch before the headset reconnects if it has “auto sleep” enabled.
Would I recommend these?
Yes. I had to return my corsair virtuoso’s since they kept disconnecting multiple times a day. So the stable wireless connection was an absolute priority for me. None of the cons have negatively impacted my day-to-day use, but are listed since it’s clear that the “Premium wireless headset” market has a long way to go. You cannot get a headset strong in one area without being weak in others.
Despite the obvious high quality, I was SO close to returning these for refund. Straight out of the box I found the pressure against my head to be painful after 15 minutes, and the EQ to be far too bright around the 4Khz mark but also thudding at the 125Hz.
It made for a very unpleasant experience and I felt so disappointed after a fantastic pair of G930s for years.
After about a week and a half, I’ve managed to wear them in. I had to unbend the metal strip in the top a bit to relieve some of the pressure, and after a lot of mucking with the EQ I found the troubling frequencies mentioned above, toned them down and now I have an great wireless headset. Great clarity and positioning and you will pick up details you’ve not heard before.
If you have a small head, these will be your best friend out of the box. If you have a taller/wider head you’ll struggle with the pressure and need some delicate elbow grease to reshape the metal band. If you are having hearing fatigue give the above frequency bands a reduction in the advanced EQ.
EDIT – Brainwavz Oval replacement earpads work with this headset. You’ll need a bit of patience putting them on but they provide the extra thickness you’ll need for long term comfort. You’ll need to tweak the EQ a bit more once on though.
Logitech – either increase your earpad thickness or recess the drivers further back into the unit for next time! These outstanding drivers deserve it.
