This light fits on top of my monitor with ease and transforms my webcam video quality from grainy and dull to vibrant, skin smoothing and even gives me a healthy looking tan! 10/10
I hate having bright ring lights facing me for streaming, really strains my eyes. However i got this along with the logitech webcam and it is perfect, doesn’t strain my eyes one bit. attaches on top of your monitor for easy setup and makes my camera look extra crisp and quality looks better with it on. Glad i got this.
Hey
I had a rough time using other cheap lights before and it was either just too much or didn have the right way to adjust the light. But this light right here is the one. At 50/60 pounds this is amazing.
Firstly i stream regularly so i having a light source is vital for us streamers and this does the cake. You can youtube it and see from other creators saying its very well made. I see comments saying that ” plastic ” and stuff.. Bro.. its aint gonna be METAL. But besides that if you have a Elgato stand or stand with a 1/4-inch screw (most usually use this) that you can screw a camera on, this light can do it too. So you dont have to put it on your screen.
Look get it and it just works.
Also the only thing id say that i would want is a LONGER Usb-c to Usb wire. If you mount is tall or your tables is higher or your computer is a distance to where you want the light to shine, then please invest in getting a USB-C to USB wire to solve it.
Okay have a nice day! Cause you will.
The things that mattered most to me were being able to change brightness and colour temperature via a physical button, and the ability to screw it into my microphone boom so I can adjust its location.
I’m happy to say that it passed both of those tests (note the screw size is the smaller of the two common sizes you get for peripheral mounting).
I’m also pleasantly surprised that it automatically turns on and off with my Logitech webcam. It might be able to do the same with other webcams too, but this was just an added bonus.
Nice and bright, adjustable in software as well as via the buttons.
A bit pricey for what it is, but I’m happy with the results.
My desk is next to a window so I used to sit on Teams / Zoom calls with one side of my face bright, and the other side dark. For important calls I had to put all the room lights on which helped a bit, but not that much.
The Litra Glow solves this issue! It lights my face, is compact, and sits on the top of my laptop well. Very useful the way it automatically switches on when sharing video and off at the end of the call. I wear glasses so I position it slightly to one side to remove reflections.
I am sure larger / more expensive ring lights would be better, but this is the perfect compromise for my video conference calls.
Does the job perfectly well. Two colour of light depending on what you need, both with brightness regulation.
I read about these online and decided to give it a shot. It does make a real difference to the overall clarity and quality of the picture when you’re streaming. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!
I have this clipped onto my monitor, easy to adjust and stays put. I have a Logitech cam, both use the G-Hub thingy, so light comes on automatically when camera is active. Perfect for me. As for quality, I record/edit videos that are published at Forbes, so can’t be too bad
Suited my situation really well. I did a little research before grabbing a light for my streaming hobby and people were saying it’s not that good but that’s a lie you get a great deal of brightness out of this product and really makes your camera more professional. The only con is the mount on the light giving very little sturdiness being on the edge of your monitor, but once you find the sweet spot that is easily forgotten about. Great value for money!
Much better than I expected, and well worth it for the price. I was worried it might not be bright enough, but I use it on 30%-40% brightness because it a lot more powerful than I thought it would be.
Doesn’t have stream deck compatability, but for how much this costs you can’t complain. It’s easy enough to adjust the brightness with the buttons on the rear or by using the Logitech software (you just need to download it from their website, but its quick and easy to install).
I was also concerned it’d look ‘bulky’ and be distracting, but after a day of it sitting on top of my monitor I forgot it was there. A great little light if you’re limited for space and/or need something on a budget.
The only problem with the light itself is the build quality. All the reviews say the light feels quite cheap and unfortunately it’s true. It felt really light and seems to be mostly plastic. But I would like to say Logitech did this to put more effort into the light itself, and it definitely does; providing a decent competitor in terms of price and performance compared to the Elgato Keylight, which costs ~150+ GBP.
I found the mount to be quite annoying. It’s way too big and with the desk I own I can’t really use it. I found a workaround and you can unscrew the mount so it’s not too much trouble.
But the light is good quality, and makes my face actually visible, so I’d still heavily recommend it, even with the cheaper build quality.
Good job on Logitech for providing a high quality light at a cheap(er) price and giving a suitable alternative to Elgato!
This does the job well enough for anyone looking for a quick fix for any lighting concerns whilst video conferencing or streaming.
The mechanism it uses to balance on top of the screen isn’t very secure as it just hooks over. Would have preferred some kind of adjustable clamp/clip type mechanism.
The light itself is plenty bright, and its warmth/coolness can be adjusted adequately.
It is also a tad overpriced imo.
Works well both on the PC / Mac using Logitech’s software
I purchased this for my husband as he works from home and he needs some lighting for his video meetings and purchased Logitech Litra Glow and it was a great purchase. This light is straightforward and simple, super easy to setup. It sits perfectly well on a Laptop / Monitor without the need of tripod or other stands. Many customization settings through Logitech G Hub software. This light is a great alternative to traditional ring lights and looks elegant as well.
For context, I have the Logitech Brio 4K and it is a lovely unit with good build quality and I was expecting the same from this. However, for a 60 light it feels very cheaply built. Everything is plastic and feels like it could break quite easily.
You wouldn’t believe the two products were the same brand.
If you’re looking for a small but bright light and aren’t worried about money, this is the light for you!
The Litra Glow is a simple to use, customizable and well mounted streaming light that is great for gaming, video conferencing, vlogging and more.
The light is impressively bright and the Logitech G software makes managing brightness and warmth very simple. This is particularly good if you also use other Logitech products as you can then manage multiple items in a single place (I also use a C920 webcam and a Yeti microphone).
I’ve tested the glow with 2 different webcams, a Logitech C920 and a J5 Create 4K model.
Both saw their picture quality improved by the lighting although it was the older C920 model that benefitted most (unsurprisingly) with colour balances much better.
Pros:
1 – Bright with a lot of different settings options.
2 – Good range of warmth settings for different occasions and times of day.
3 – Solid mount which makes it easy to angle forward or back.
4 – Good software management and interaction with other Logitech gear.
Cons:
1 – A tad expensive for what it is (though much better than a 35 light I had previously).
2 – Only angles straight, no side to side options.
3 – The mount is large, not an issue on a monitor but a bit unwieldy on laptops.
Overall:
If you are looking for a good lighting solution for dim/unevenly lit rooms this is a good option. Whilst not the cheapest on the market it provides a good level of quality and is still an affordable alternative to the professional streaming options. I’d definitely recommend for video calls (I use this 3-4 hours a day without hurting my eyes) but it might prove a bit too static to be as effective for gaming.
This light will do what you need it to do. Nice soft light, good controls and plenty of power packed into a small footprint. The monitor mounting bracket is genius.
I thought I’d try this to replace my ring light to avoid having the obvious ring light in my eye. Although small this was surprisingly bright and I wouldn’t need the brightest setting for my general calls. My ring light is more powerful however I barely have it on more 25% so considering this is more portable and just attaches to the screen (you can attach to tripod but haven’t tested that way) this is def my go to light from now on.
The light is very plasticky but feels sturdy enough. In the box you’ll find the light, a USB cable, and a single page of instructions. The lamp can be attached to a monitor or screen of some sort and is adjustable, so you can change its height and angle to suit your needs, and if you prefer it can be attached to a tripod as the instructions mention there is a screw thread under the head of the lamp (haven’t tried this). On the rear of the light there are a couple of buttons to turn the lamp on and off, and also adjust its brightness and warmth, but for the best results the Logitech G-Hub app is great. From this, you can turn the lamp on or off, adjust its brightness and warmth, use a few preset profiles, and create your own. It works really well, and when I’m training if I need to turn the lamp on I can do it from my laptop without having to fumble around on the back of the light. The light itself is soft as the front of it has an opaque white cover, so you’re not looking at a bulb or a cluster of bulbs, more a glowing panel, and it can go very bright indeed – perfectly fine for streaming video, which is exactly what it is designed to do.
All in all it’s a good light for people like me, or YouTube creators, but it is quite expensive and more plasticky than I expected, but I’m happy all the same.
This light is very good the light has separate up and down controls for both colour temperature and brightness, however I do find that controlling it with the software makes it so much easier to control, the on and off can also be controlled without touching the light. The same goes for power on/off, it can be done without touching the light at all.
The only downside in my opinion is if your monitor is a thinner one then the bracket doesn’t go on very tight, it won’t fall off so it’s not a huge problem.
Overall a fantastic light that does exactly what it should do.
Before this I was using a standard ring light with an inline controller on the power cable, so fancied a little upgrade.
This is a great beginner streaming light and has lots of options and modes to choose from. One thing I really like is how easily the G-Hub software just found the light. I have the G502 wireless mouse and use G-Hub anyway and not having to download another program is great.
The quality of the light source is very good and I don’t find it very dazzling when I am streaming. I really like that you can assign G buttons on either your keyboard or mouse (If they are logitech) to control the light. I have one of my unused buttons that now turns the light on and off, so I don’t even have to go into the software to turn it on. You can also increase and decrease brightness, change profiles etc with buttons too.
I only have 2 negatives on this. Firstly is the included USB C cable. It is too short. I had to use a different cable to be able to cable manage this properly. A nice long cable would have been great because generally a light is high up on a monitor and therefore a longer cable would be nice. The second is streamdeck integration.
Most streamers now have a streamdeck and lots of other brands have the integration, however this does not. Clearly it is possible to assign macros as it can be done to G buttons, but it would be great to have full streamdeck integration.
You could work around this with setting up macros on the keyboard and then assigning keys to the streamdeck, but it isnt ideal and you can only assign the macro keys when you have a logitech keyboard. I do have a spare one, so I am going to see if I can assign them on the old board and they will stay for the light, but I doubt it.
Anyway this is a nice light, albeit a little pricey, it is a really good product. Just one or two frustrations
If, like me, you’ve spent a not insignificant amount of time during the last few years on various types of video call then you’ll probably know how difficult it is to get things right so people can both hear and see you clearly. This Logitech light aims to take away part of the problem and also give you a beautification boost.
This light is pretty easy to set up, you put put it on top of your laptop, screen or similar using the already attached stand and then plug it into the USB-C. The stand should work with most screen types and appears to be pretty sturdy. Optionally you can also set up some software on the computer to be able to control the light if its plugged in via USB there but there are buttons too on the back of the device to control it also.
The control here allows you to change the harshness of the white plus increase and decrease the brightness. This fine tuning allows you to create a more natural look if you want while still increasing the overall brightness of the subject. You’ll likely want to mount this near your camera to get the best results, which in my experience can be quite effective at improving the lighting without it becoming too harsh.
Overall then, this is a good addition to the Logitech for Creators range and comes recommended from me.
This Litra Glow from Logitech is a really good streaming light.
It’s powerful and can go very bright if you need it to – it will go far brighter than you’d want it if you’re sat just a metre from your screen, so works particularly well for streaming live videos of activities as it illuminates a wide area on full brightness.
The temperature of the light has the full spectrum from blue white to very warm white.
The light is well articulated and easily adjust so it sits on your monitor or wherever – you can tilt, swivel and adjust the height of the light etc. The cable is just long enough to reach my PC – could do with being 0.5m longer really. My first photo shows one of my monitors I set it up on.
The light has physical controls on the back that are a bit fiddly to use because you can’t see them. I think they could have at least put an on/off button around the edge of the light rather than in the centre of the back panel. Bit of a design fault. However, if you connect it to G Hub then you don’t need to use the physical buttons at all…
The light connects to Logitech’s G Hub app in Windows and this gives full control of the light from your desktop and integration with G Hub profiles. I’ve included a photo of the G Hub control panel on my PC with the light on (I’ve got Logitech keyboard, mouse & microphones that connect with G Hub too – it’s an excellent system).
When I first took this light out of the box, I was surprised to see that it didn’t have a means by which to secure it to the top of the monitor and initially thought that could be its downfall, but I have been very pleasantly surprised by how stable it is to use and also what a game changer it has turned out to be.
Like many, when the pandemic hit, we had to change the way we interacted with our clients even though they needed to see us more than before. We started doing zoom calls and they became a daily fact of life, replacing the face to face meetings and even replacing phone calls as everyone got used to the new way to have a meeting, even many individuals for whom technology held a lot of fear. But lighting was always an issue and I have amassed three different lights around my desk to try to achieve a natural effect without looking as though I am floodlit. This Logitech Litra Glow LED lamp has been a game changer for me.
My desk was always a quiet oasis until the invasion of the lamps, but it has reverted to being a calmer work space and the LED lamps have been condemned to find new homes as the Logitech fulfills all of my lighting needs whilst cozily sitting on top of the screen, well away from my zen-like desk.
It is stable in position even though there isn’t a clip to screw up to hold it firmly. I really like the easy way it just sits there. Adjustments for light intensity and warmth, which enable very refined use from very cool to much warmer (blue-white to yellow-light) are fantastically easy to use and allow you to get exactly the light you require with very little hassle. I don’t like apps, but there is one that allows you to control the light from your seat, if desired.
As I said, I have been able to get shot of three LED lamps that were dotted on and around my desk and replace them with the Logitech, which just sits quietly on top of the monitor. It has a great range of movement up or down so you can get exactly the angle you need for best impact. It meets all of my needs as a zoom user and I have had a couple of clients comment positively that ‘you look well’. Praise indeed for a minimalist light that just sits on top of your monitor, so quietly and unobtrusively that you forget it’s there. No glare, no heavy lighting, no deep shadows and absolutely no headaches due to the adjustability of light intensity and colour.
This is a fabulous light to have on top of your monitor and it is stable in use despite the lack of screw-up bracket; it doesn’t need one. It comes in a strong, well padded (with cardboard) box and would make a great gift for anyone that has to do meetings at their monitor as well as those that stream.
My only criticism is that I wish the mounting bracket was more adjustable to grip more firmly to thin monitors. Its not going to fall off, but wish it had a spring type mounting clip/bracket. For this reason I am only giving a 4* review.
