Still using it. I forgot how long ago I bought it. But it just charged once. Good quality maybe expensive but worth to buy. My laptop is expensive as well. I am not buying cheap one to match my laptop.

This is the best mouse I have ever used. The shape is perfect for my hand and the buttons are all conveniently placed. The scroller is a big game-changer when scrolling through a long list. One bad thing I have noticed is that the material used for the mouse is wearing away where my thumb goes and started not too far in into ownership. Would highly recommend this product to any power user.

Easy to set up, works great alongside my MXKeys keyboard, extremely comfortable to use for extended periods.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have just bought a replacement for this after 3-years of regular use. The *only* reason for doing so, is the rubber surface breaks down and feels sticky over time – a very common problem with these, as a quick search of Google or Reddit will confirm. It’s a shame as there’s nothing wrong with it, but it’s horrid to use now.
I’ve replaced it with… the 3S. There simply isn’t a better all-round mouse for productivity and general use, especially if you move between multiple devices and operating systems. Frankly there’s so little difference between the MX Master 3 and the 3S you should buy whichever is cheapest, but just be aware it won’t last a lifetime, which is a shame for financial reasons (this sort of cost should last longer) and for environmental reasons (an otherwise functional mouse is now useless). Poor from Logitech for very avoidable reasons, but it’s still the best all-round mouse you can buy.

I find that this mouse is really nice to use even without the bells and whistles of programmable buttons and the like. If you are doing seroius CAD which involves loads of mouse drags and clicks, then it is time to get a mouse that is not only going to be productive, but is is easy on the hands and wrists and not going to do you in. This mouse seems to be very ergonomic and light on the wrists. It may seem expensive but it is a real investment for avoiding the sort of health problems that can arise with having to using a mouse for work. I am really impressed with this mouse and am hoping to get my company to pay for it, on H&S grounds.

An excellent mouse that keep on working for months on one charge.
I use comfortable all day, every day for work on a windows PC and this mouse works a treat. Swapping to my personal Macbook and ipad is simple.
    Excellent all round.

As the title says, this is the best mouse I have used and I have been working in I.T. since before mice were a thing! The rechargeable battery lasts at least a month and I use it every day for 4 -6 hours. You can still use it when recharging with the USB-C cable. The scroll wheel function is amazing, if you spin it fast it goes into ‘freewheel’ mode which lets you get to the top or bottom of a long webpage or spreadsheet quickly.

Awesome mouse definitely up there with all the other great mice I’ve used over the years. Has all the buttons you need for regular use, the three presets are super useful for fast switching to different connected devices. Feels great in the hand and side scroll is a huge plus! Switches all feel great.

Pretty good mouse with multi device support, very good battery life. I have been using Bluetooth connection which meant to be lasted longer than usb wifi connection, and seems like true. It should fit well for medium and large hands. Furthermore, multi functional options based on different apps also very handy. It is top end expensive mouse but it’s worth the price.

I bought this to replace my MX Master 2 which gave up the ghost after 4.5 years of daily use. My work bought me the max master 3 and I find it a more ergonomic version of the mx master 2. So much so that I bought myself one for home.
I do a lot of CAD work and find programmable buttons a god send. Price wise it can be s bit expensive, so I’d say look at it when it’s on sale (Amazon have regular sales on it). As for delivery, this came next day as standard.

If you’re on the fence then I’d say go for the MX 2 as it’s the exact same functionality but cheaper and maybe a little smaller in size. If money isn’t too much of an issue, then definitely buy the MX3.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI’ve never spent more than 15 tops on a mouse before, usually putting up with whatever generic off-brand one came with my computer or was at my workstation in the office, so I was naturally quite hesitant to spend this much on a device I hadn’t actually felt in the hand before and that differed slightly from the standard “puck” form factor I was used to. Upon getting a new MacBook and being absolutely underwhelmed by Apple’s own Magic Mouse, which is probably the only Apple product I’ve ever actively disliked, I decided to go for this one.

This mouse surpassed all my expectations, and I do not regret a single penny of the relatively high cost! It feels great in the hand, has a massive amount of customisation via the Logitech software, stores 3 preset devices to attach to, seamlessly can work between multiple devices via the Logitech software, can even assist in copying and pasting between different devices, has fantastic build quality with a nice rubberised feeling to the body and a reassuring weight in the hand.

The scroll wheel feels amazing in use in both its free wheeling mode and in its measured by-the-click scroll, which can be toggled between very easily.

Plenty of buttons and configurable in Logitech software with a wonderful multi use side button by the thumb, which allows 4 different actions to be set to a push then direction move on the mouse (eg press and mouse up can be set to ‘copy’, press and mouse down can be set to ‘paste’ etc).

Side scroll wheel works perfectly too, which is handy navigating around artboards in the Adobe Suite or horizontally wide Excel spreadsheets.

Battery life is excellent and I haven’t had to charge it once since its first charge, and this is with daily use from 9-5 every day, and I’ve had it a month or so now. With such a slow drain rate and no strain that comes with having to repeatedly charge the battery, I have every faith the battery lifespan of this over time will also be very good. I had a quick search online as when researching this to see if I could easily replace the battery myself in future should the need ever arise, and it looks fairly easy to do and currently very cheap to replace, which is reassuring given the cost of the mouse.

I purchased the “PC version”, rather than the “made for Mac” branded one, purely because at that time this was cheaper. There is absolutely no difference in the mouse itself, it’s the same product and I’ve used this seamlessly between PC, MacBook and iPad without any issue. The only difference I can see is the Mac boxed version comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging rather than the USB-A to USB-C one this came with, however I have a multitude of USB-C to C cables anyway and also a dock with USB-A. With the pricing as it was, even if I’d bought the PC one over the Mac one, I’d still have had enough to buy a cheap USB-C to C cable and still have saved money, but as mentioned this wasn’t necessary in my case.

Beautifully packaged with the unified receiver dongle, which I haven’t had call to use really as it worked out the box just fine with Bluetooth on all of my devices.

Could not rate this any more highly, and the ergonomic feel in the hand is fantastic. I guess I never missed what I’d never had before, but the quality of life improvements of having a good mouse when I spend all day using one is something that I now absolutely appreciate, and I don’t regret a single penny of the cost. In fact I was so impressed I only went on to spend more money on Logitech; buying the Master keyboard and wrist rest too!

I’ve worn out an original MX and a MX Master, skipped the MX Master 2 (though it would have been cheaper) to jump to the 3. Superb mouse and they have reverted part back to the original MX design with the position of the side scroll wheel and the buttons, which I much preferred to the Master and Master 2.
Only catch is you need to use the Logit Options+ software, which does not work with my old mouse (and the old software will not work with the new). Would have thought the MX 3 would have worked with the Logitech G Hub software, alas not.

I would have given it 5 stars but for the useless ‘Gestures’ button. It is far too small and by the time you’ve found it, it’s quicker to use the keyboard shortcut. Nevertheless, it is still an excellent mouse and very programmable. I can live without the ‘gestures’ option. If you are left handed, don’t bother!

I have never turned it off so presumably the sleep mode works.

Bought this as a replacement for an old ergonomic logitech wireless mouse which I’ve had for years, but was struggling to cope with the surface I was using it on. This was an excellent replacement. It works well on the desk surface and the scrolling feature is excellent. You can literally spin the wheel and it goes on for ages. Once you get use to it you won’t want to go back to a normal mouse wheel.

I’ve only had to recharge the mouse once in about 2 weeks so battery life seems good.

Would recommend logitech in general and this mouse does not disappoint.

I was really hesitant due to the price, but glad I gave this a try. I was having a lot of pain in my mouse hand and arm from extended use for my job – it’s completely gone now. I have not had any of the other reviewers issues with breaking (I’ve had it 9 months under constant, daily (and nightly) use). No problems charging, and my fingers don’t hit weird buttons in odd places. Felt strange for like a week because the shape is different, that’s it. You get used to it. Well worth the monetary cost for my physical pain to be relieved!

Great value. You won’t buy it and be amazing in gaming or efficient in work if you already are not. However, it makes working and surfing around the web more pleasant and easy. The most useful tool is the side roller which makes my life soo easier when working at excel or a designing program. Battery life is very good. Had it for a month and charged it probably 2 times(?) But when it says battery is low you can easily finish work at the office and charge it later. If you have the money to spend it is worth it. Should be even better with the keyboard combined. Would be great if they included a pouch or something to put the mouse in so it feels safer when inside a back, because it is expensive and I’m always afraid I might break it when I put it in my bag.

I bought this mouse after returning a faulty Apple mouse on eBay. Getting used to it was non-problematic, although I find it is slightly too large for my normal size hand. First impressions other than its size is that it does look and feel a little light, plasticky and cheap for its RRP.
Using Logi Options+ I have customised it to my frequently used applications. Battery life is excellent and still nearly fully charged since early April when I fully charged it.
The most annoying thing for me is that after I’ve used CleanMyMac, the Logi Options+ app and the customisation settings are destroyed and you have to reinstall the app and re=customise the mouse all over again. I’ve done it a couple of times now without thinking to program CleanMyMac to leave Logi Options+ alone. I’ve found it frustrating, but overall I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking a for a high end mouse especially since not everyone uses CleanMyMac.

I bought this mouse to go with the Logitech MX Keys keyboard. Both are excellent – very good quality, good battery life, nice to use etc. There’s one drawback, and this is specific to me (but also possibly others).

I really wanted to use the Flow feature to use a single mouse/keyboard across my work and personal computers. However, my work laptop is pretty heavily locked down which means Flow won’t work – it won’t detect the other computer and vice versa. I still use it – I just need to manually switch (using the button on the underside of the mouse). This is a shame – not a knock on the mouse itself, but just something for potential buyers to think about.

I had used previous versions of this mouse with great success until they started being a bit glitchy. I had Read that this mouse didn’t have these issues.

After some frustrating hours, I have worked out the best set-up to ensure a glitch free experience. 1st, I put the unifi receiver on an USB extension, with it as close as possible whilst remaining out of sight. I had it plugged into my Mac and my dock, but both seemed to cause too much electrical noise.

Secondly, I uninstalled Logitech Options. This was frustrating as I used various shortcuts on the mouse with its gestures. So I tried the new beta software and found a version that was finally stable. Winner. It’s been working fab since then (approx 6 months)

All the other reviews are very accurate So trust those on usability. This is certainly the best mouse I’ve used – just the receiver and software need some work!

Really like the ergonomics of this mouse – I would say I have a medium-to-large hand and it’s quite comfortable to rest my whole hand on the mouse. The ability to use this mouse with up to 3 different devices is very useful as well. The only downside of this mouse – for me at least – is the rubberised surface of the handgrip. It’s fine to start off with, but over time if you have clamy/sweaty hands (perhaps as a result of a particularly intense gaming session or you’re sitting at your computer for long periods of time) then you might find the feel of the rubber becomes a little ‘tacky’ over time – it doesn’t make the mouse unusable by any means – and its probably not fair to say it is unpleasant to hold after a while – but it definitely has a less than optimal feeling – in my view at least. This isn’t an issue which is unique to Logitech per se, but any mouse which has a rubberised grip – I think I’ll be sticking to standard plastic mice from now on.

I’ve had this mouse for about a year now. I use it Monday to Friday, 9 till 5.

Absolutely worth every penny. Incredible battery life, super fast charging and software that works.

This is my second review so I’ll keep it short and sweet

Pros – perfect for office work, productivity and superb way of life with custom settings. Incredible battery life and fast charging for when it’s (very rarely) needed. Super fast scroll wheel that you will be so glad you have when scrolling through nonsense you don’t want to read and perfect for Excel uses like myself.

Negatives – the side scroll wheel can be a bit sensitive, but this can be corrected by toning it down in the software (which doesn’t tone it down by much) or just being a bit more careful when using it.

They need to put more love and effort into the software. The Logi software is nowhere near the same level as the normal Logitech software. Shame.

That’s it really. Best productivity mouse on the market.

  23. VanessaCamidge says:

Larger than the average mouse though could be in a few sizes for my man hands . Great design, ultra high variable DPI, super fast flywheel magnetic weighted scroll wheel powers through super long documents or websites, carries on by itself and stops in an instant where you want with a fingertip.

Logitech Mouse software suite is superb, auto updates, and you can subscribe to the latest Beta features on the fly, and not had any problems with it.

All the five buttons can be remapped to any function you like and thankfully one of these functions —Taskview— even work through secure remote working thin client software, which makes remote work OS Environments more tolerable.

The MX Master mouse is dear at 85 but by Golly, I think this will be the last mouse I ever buy.

    Yes it is that good.

    An investment of a controller.

    But with confidence.

I personally love this mouse. My mouse gave up a few weeks ago, so I had to find a new one!

Originally I was put off by some reviews on reddit, such as; it’s too heavy, too much latency, not great for gaming.

I need a mouse that’s both for gaming and also for work, as I use my home pc for both.
This mouse turned out to be perfect for work and gaming, as I prefer a heavy mouse and the latency is not noticeable whatsoever.
If you were playing FPS games such as CS:S, Rainbow Six and Valorant, then maybe there would be an issue but honestly, I cannot see it whatsoever.

The build quality of the mouse is stellar, I noticed this as soon as opening the well constructed box.

It’s very ergonomic, so it’s sigh of relief when working in big work projects or having long gaming sessions.

The horizontal scrollwheel is an absolute life changer, allows horizontal scrolling through documents such as excel which is great.
You can also map the horizontal scroll wheel to an application of your choice, I’ve currently got it set to scroll through my tabs on my browser, to change audio levels when I am on Spotify and some other customizations for games.

There’s also gesture control with a button located under your thumb, this has 6 types of commands and I use them most for Spotify, if I hold the button gesture up and down, that’s to control audio for the whole pc.
Holding it down and going left or right skips or goes back to a previous song and finally, if you just click the button that pauses and unpasuses it.

Having USB-C charging for it as well is brilliant, as we’re slowly moving away from micro USB which is grand because it wasn’t the best!

So yes, I cannot recommend this mouse enough for work and play.
It’s expensive, yes but it’s going to see you well and it’s no doubt going to last a long time as logitech products generally do!

    Positives:

    – Good ergonomics
    – Front / back buttons nicely located
    – Easy switch between up to three machines
    – Good battery life
    – USB-C charging
    – USB wireless or bluetooth

    Negatives:

    – Wireless performance (Weak in some conditions even when using USB receiver)
    – Magwheel inferior to a high quality ratchet based scroll wheel like in the Logitech G502

    In Depth:

Good points are the mouse is physically super smooth when moving over the desk, its designed in such a way to give low resistance against the desk surface. Comfort is high and it has nicely located front and back buttons. Easy switch between PC’s works well and battery life seems good with modern USB-C charging.

Negatives, i am not fond of the mag wheel i think its a downgrade over a mouse with a physical ratchet. The scroll wheel doesn’t toggle fast enough between slow and fast scrolling giving a inconsistent scrolling experience, i preferred the physical ratchet scroll wheel on my old Logitech G502. Wireless signal is also a problem, often under heavier machine load the mouse will jitter and jump portions of the screen giving a jittery non-smooth movement. This occurs even with the latest firmware, 1m distance and when using the USB wireless receiver which is supposed to be the optimal for signal. The above issue causes it to be a terrible mouse for RTS games where selecting units and mouse operation is the primary control for the game.

I’ve not had a decent mouse for quite a few years since my Razer DeathAdder of which I had 3 at one point.

I took the plunge as this could connect to 3 separate devices so very handy for home desktop, laptop and my work laptop.

I’ve been using it for maybe a month now and over all it’s great with a couple of minor frustrations:

    1. The thumb button is too small and it’s very easy to move the mouse at slightly the wrong angle left or right meaning that rather than switching desktops (Windows) or full screen apps (Mac) you end up hitting the task manager.
    2. The scroll wheel, while generally good, seems to not be as quick when scrolling back up a page.

Otherwise I’d recommend, not needed to charge it yet although I do turn off between uses.

  27. Anonymous says:

What needs to be said? It’s easily the best mouse I’ve handled. Instantly felt perfect in my hand, not crazy overboard on the ergonomic front, just made to fit a resting palm, or an active “claw grip”.
No adjustment period from my old mouse, and the “Logitec Options” companion program is pretty good too.
My useage is primarily for coding, design and a touch of IT support, which it ticks all boxes. Likely not the best choice for gaming, but if you work and game on the same machine, it’ll likely do fine, although the direct Bluetooth mode did have a small blip or two, but now while paired with the Logitec dongle (may just be my machine’s card at fault).
The only thing I could say is a criticism is that the electromagnetic ratcheting is only on the main scroll wheel, which I knew. But after using it for a few days, I would love to have had it on both. Top marks!

I work from home with most of my work being done on a PC. I use my mouse a huge amount, so it is important to use the right one.

I had been using a Logitech MX Anywhere 2 mouse which was very good, but occasionally I would get pains in my wrist and I was conscious that the mouse was a little on the small size. I decided to upgrade to the MX Master 3 and I am really impressed.

It fits perfectly in my hand and is very comfortable even for very extended periods of use. It has loads of useful features, but I often forget to use them. It is good that it now recharges using USB Type C.

I also have a K780 keyboard and I find Logitech’s unifying receivers very useful and I can use the same keyboard/mouse with either my desktop PC or Surface Go. I also prefer the unifying receivers to Bluetooth as you never have to wait for the device to “wake up.” It is always ready to go.

I used to always buy Microsoft keyboards and mice, but I am now much happier with Logitech products.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo i brought the MX Master Keys and Master MX 3 Mouse at the same time. I wanted a mouse and keyboard that i can easily transition between my work computer and my personal gaming pc as well as us on my phone for typing while docked.

This mouse and keyboard combo are perfect for it.

    Profile 1 Gaming PC
    Profile 2 Work PC
    Profile 3 Personal Phone.

With the simple press of 1 button i can go from work pc to responding to messages on phone to another press to messaging and reading messages on my my gaming PC reading and writing messages on discord.

For productivity this is going to save me so much time rather than having to unplug mouse and keyboard from one system to the other.

The build quality on the keyboard is amazing. there is 0 flex when typing and even the tried and tested twist test there is minimal flex.

Yes its a expensive keyboard but my god the amount of time its going to save me will pay for it self in no time.

I not tried any gaming on the keyboard as of yet but i dont think it will compete with my proper gaming PC though. There again i play mainly Racing sims like iRacing and ACC so no real need for a gaming keyboard for them when i use a wheel.

100% would reccomend this keyboard and mouse combo to anyone looking to improve on productivity and looking to have a stylish desk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Mouse for anyone with multi systems looking to improve productivity

I bought this mouse mainly for use in Adobe Lightroom. It definitely functions with Lightroom but the specific functions (that you programme yourself using the software) are a bit limited, such as undo/redo edit, zoom in and out of the image etc. The function I use it most for, and to be fair is very handy, is pressing the mouse wheel down to show/hide overlay masks, gradient filters and brushes, this is really useful.

Not a deal breaker, but you have to open the software and select Lightroom before the mouse will use any functions you have programmed for Lightroom (as opposed to just opening up Lightroom and the mouse “recognising” it. Not a real hastle, but for a bells and whistles peripheral designed to speed up workflow, the extra couple of clicks seems a bit annoying. Oddly, on other applications (such as iTunes) it works fine without having to open the software, so perhaps it’s just the case that non-standard applications need the software opened beforehand. Like I say, it’s not a deal breaker.

From a Lightroom and general use standpoint it’s good for the most part. You press down with your thumb to click between desktops on Windows 10 which is very handy if you’re flicking between Lightroom and folders. I personally use it to click to other folders and also iTunes which I have in another desktop, very handy although sometimes there’s a slight lag in showing all desktops which can be irritating.

Comfort wise, it’s very ergonomic and fits my (average sized) hand nicely, with everything in pretty much the perfect position for long editing sessions, where comfort is crucial. The battery life is outstanding and a single charge will last for weeks. A small micro usb to usb 3 cable is provided, so you can still work with it plugged in whilst charging up.

The reason I’ve given it 4 stars is because I think it’s just a touch too expensive, it is most definitely a substantial upgrade on a big standard mouse, but I think a more reasonable price point would be between sixty and seventy quid, rather than just under a ton.

Overall though, and primarily from a Lightroom standpoint, I do feel that the mouse was worth getting, slightly overpriced notwithstanding, and my editing workflow has improved, the hide/show overlays in particular are massively useful and now that I have this functionality, I would very much miss it if it was taken away.

Summary: Definitely worth getting for Lightroom, but maybe wait until it’s on special offer or sale for best value.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs the title suggests, this is not as good as I was anticipating it was going to be. I bought this on the strength of someone I know who owns an MX Master 2, however this feels more pronounced in the palm. The bump at the back of the mouse, the height of it is in my opinion too high, and the drop off is too steep, and it’s uncomfortable. And I think the buttons at the fronts are just too long. I work in a restricted space and I’m continually catching the left mouse button because it sticks out, and it’s just not the same shape as the MX Master 2. The only reason I bought this was because it is electromagnetic for the mouse wheel, and it is very very smooth, there’s no doubt about that. But in the palm, the feel of the mouse is not as nice, and not as comfortable as the MX Master 2. The side scroll wheel is something of a distraction, I don’t realistically feel it’s of much use, because there aren’t many pieces of software that it works with. And if I was designing this mouse, I would have put the side scroll wheel below the two buttons for forwards and backwards, which are probably going to be used more often than the side scroll wheel itself. It sounds as though I’m really unhappy with the mouse, which I’m actually not, it is a nice feeling the hand, and it’s smooth across the mouse mat. But it isn’t quite as nice a feel as the MX Master 2, and I now one wonder if I should have got a second-hand MX Master 2 off eBay.

What I dislike about this mouse is that it is overkill unless you have very demanding needs. But that’s not a criticism of the product, it is a statement about ME. I bought more power, and more functions than ***I*** can ever use. The mouse has two wheels, and even these have different modes. Then there are other buttons and switches, and I don’t suppose I will ever know what they do, nor use them. I bought it because I was fed up with cheap mice which let me down when photo editing where precision is required. In that limited need it is spectacularly good; probably it is good in other ways too that I will never find out about. I’m using it presently in BLUETOOTH mode, simply because I have Bluetooth on my desktop that I never use; but it comes with a USB dongle as well. It may look cumbersome, but is actually very comfortable to use, and it moves wonderfully. For me it is as though I bought a 200 mph Ferrari to drive around a very small island with no fast roads; but that’s my fault not the Ferrari’s.

This mouse is brilliant – as most other reviews will say. On windows, with the logitech software, it’s great.

*HOWEVER*, and this is a huge problem for anyone wanting to use this mouse on Linux, there is no Logitech software for Linux., only Windows & Mac. So what do you get for the ‘Linux compatible Mx 3 Master’? – a 1000dpi mouse, with non-configurable buttons. There is no way on the mouse to increase the dpi from the default 1000dpi to its full 4000dpi, or to change what any of the buttons do.

However, if you are willing to install, configure, and play with ‘ratbagd’ and ‘piper’, you can change the dpi, and change the button configuration. My first day with both of these has been hit and miss, sometimes after the machine sleeps, it doesn’t detect that there’s a device connected, and I’m back at 1000dpi, and I’ve not had success yet with changing the button actions.

Logitech should be ashamed at putting ‘linux compatible’ on the product description, as it simply isn’t correct, given their advertising of the features of this mouse. Oh, and if you were looking at the ‘Flow’ feature to copy & paste across machines? Forget it.

Please don’t just believe me in this review. Have a search online for ‘logitech mx master 3 linux’, there’s plenty of information out there regarding Logitech & Linux woes.

I will update this review, and decide if I’m keeping this lovely little rodent after more testing on Linux. The mouse is gorgeous, the software, and the company stating ‘linux compatibility’ isn’t.

*Update* – After a few days of playing with this, I have decided to keep it. The Piper GUI for Ratbagd isn’t great and will frequently lose connection to the daemon, so you need to close and re-open it. If your PC/Laptop/Tablet goes to sleep, then you’ll be back at 1000dpi again when you wake it. I have created a little script which runs ‘ratbagctl “Logitech Wireless Mouse MX Master 3” dpi set 4000’ which I run when I wake my Laptop. Also, if you are running OpenSUSE, then you will need to add your user to the group ‘games’, and restart after installing Ratbagd & Piper, otherwise Piper will never be able to communicate with Ratbagd, and will just give a vague error that doesn’t indicate the solution above. It’s a bit of a hassle, and if I had known about these issues beforehand, I would have opted for the cheaper MX 2S, as that’s 4000dpi and as ‘Linux Compatible’ as the MX 3.

The actual mouse is fantastic, the scroll wheel is brilliant (in free & ratchet mode), side scrolling works, and it tracks on glass. The shape fits my hand like a glove, and I don’t randomly right-click as with other mice.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this originally as I wanted to enable Flow. It worked as planned although I couldn’t use my 915TKL. I happened then to come across Microsoft’s “Mouse without Borders” which is pretty much the same thing but allows you to use your keyboard and mouse together and has automatic switching depending on where the mouse pointer is. Had I known this I wouldn’t have had to upgrade from my Master MX2…But heigh-ho!
The mouse wheel is better though as I use the 1000 lines per second scrolling thing a lot and this spins like spinning is going out of fashion…or is in fashion…I dunno.
It has the USB C connection over the MX2 and only the one LED on the side, so you can’t ascertain at a glance how much charge you’ve got, but as you can use this whilst charging and the charge lasts like – forever – it’s no Biggy.
So I saved 25% by going through that German link and the mouse did arrive as good as new in the original box with the literature and a 2 year guarantee. Amazon though is so good to me on refunds and exchanges I have the confidence to buy from Amazon.com and Amazon.fr where my account still works and I can get the savings of course. All hail Jeff Bezos…Father of shopping!!!
So anyway for the technically curious to enable either Flow or Mouse without Borders you of course need two unifying receivers and if you have an incompatible keyboard and would like to use MwB like me then in windows it’s no problem but you will have to switch manually the keyboard receiver to go into whichever DOS you require and in my case I was able to setup my TKL as a Bluetooth device on the other computer where my dongle wasn’t so that when the software glitches (as both of them do!!!) you can have connection still. Also MwB has a dual mode where it will put the curser on both screens simultaneously…a little mentally confusing at times but good for troubleshooting.
Anyhoo on the whole – buy it. at 75 for the best mouse on the planet, why not?
My third picture shows my 49″ with a PBP display of my NUC on the right (1/3rd) and my main AMD on the left (2/3rds)cool huh?
Flow or MwB are really good in this setup for those of us that don’t have built-in KVM switching like my Samsung C49RG9xSS
p.s. I have no idea what sleep mode is on a mouse so I gave it no stars. I think though a mouse uses less power than a tomato. It is perhaps possible that the tech to make the wheel spin which is Electromagnetic would have more of a power burden but who cares? I use my mouse a lot and I can’t even remember the last time I charged it!

    Mousetastic!!!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought the first MX Master roughly 4 year ago, it was my daily driver in the office with an average of 30+ hours a week usage. I had to charge it once a month, it was a fantastic mouse. The free moving centre wheel is the best feature ever when you have large spreadsheets or documents the scroll through. I’d still be using it and only upgraded as the my original died in a weird way. At first i thought it the Bluetooth on my laptop, but after reconnection the mouse I noticed the the button were working, but the cursor no longer moved, so I can only assume the something happened to the Darfield Laser, as unlike normal mice it does not glow red, you can’t see it under normal operation.

So it decided it was time to upgrade, I did consider buying the another of the same model as it lasted be 4 years, but took the leap and decided to buy the MX Master 3, and honestly I am happy I did, they have changed the design, it fits better in my hand, the magnetic centre wheel is far better the first editions clicky one! The buttons are easily programable, just plug in the dongle and it will ask if you want to install the software for the mouse. I have the mouse hooked up to my Work laptop, my home Desktop, and my iPad Pro, and at the press of a button it instantly switches between those 3 devices.

All in all, these are the best mice I have ever owned. The MX Master is awesome, lasted years with daily use, battery life is amazing even after all that time. MX Master 3, although I have not had a great deal of time with it to write a detailed 100% honest review, I can already feel the improvement over it predecessor!

5.0 out of 5 stars Time to upgrade!

You maybe like me and thought this was a ridiculous price for a mouse. You may also be like me and have a windows machine and an apple machine as well. The duo link is magic, and I can not speak highly enough on how well this works. The mouse is comfortable to use, and it takes some getting used to the gesture controls for both the mac and windows machines. It took me a day or two to get used to the change of using two different mice for devices and switching to the one. I also have a Logitech keyboard which works well with the mouse as well.
I can not say enough about how comfortable and easy to use and what a great experience it is.
If you’re in the market, the mouse is excellent and is worth buying. You can configure the mouse how you want it, or even the default services are excellent. The software picks up immediately software that it works with and allows the mouse to know this so when you’re in the office you can zoom in change things move a slide to the side, outlook you can swipe with the side button. There is so much to tell you can do I would be writing all day.
I would recommend you follow the instructions.
If you’re in the market don’t think about the price, this is the only mouse you will ever need

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI originally bought the MX Master 3 and it was not really what I expected and I felt it was not right for me, so I was put off by the Master line. I considered buying the MX Anywhere but when I researched the dimensions I realised it was very similar in size to my current Logitech M325 which is too small and strains my hands a bit (I have noticed this since the working from home since the pandemic). I looked at other options for an ergonomic mouse but kept coming back to the MX Master 2S.

I was a bit stumped, but my intuition said to give the MX Master 2S a go, so I decdied to order that and then compare it to the Master 3 to be sure I had the best mouse. I tried them both today and I can definitely say that for me the Master 2S is better overall.

Height-wise, I cannot see any difference between them. The MX Master 3 is narrower than the Master 2S which means that your two end fingers sort of slide off a bit as they have nowhere to rest. The 2S is wider giving the palm a more comfortable base on which to rest and my pinky finger is not dragging on the mouse mat.

In addition, the Master 3 sits a little higher so it slants down to the right on an angle that is slightly sharper than the Master 2S, which I personally made it difficult to keep my hand in place. I also feel that the groove where your thumb rests is slightly curved in deeper on the Master 2S which makes it easier to claw grip and it just feels more uniform to my actual hand shape.

The Master 3 has a sharper incline and decline, like a mountain, whereas the 2S has a more overall softer incline and decline like a hedgehog. For me, the shape of the Master 3 is unnatural for my hand and more of a slightly clenching position than a relaxed position. When I used the Master 2S it just ‘clicked’ with my hand if that makes sense.

The Master 3 looks very nice and more business like, whereas the Master 2S has more on an edgy design so it’s down to personal taste for design. Of course, the forward and back buttons on the Master 3 are better placed, but the auxiliary button on the thumb rest is better on the Master 2S to me, because on the Master 3 its near the edge so you have to move your thumb a bit to activate it. The Master 3 also has more of a silicone feel, and seems to retain heat from your palm more than the Master 2S.

The good parts about the Master 3 are that the side scroll wheel protrudes out a little more and is easier to scroll and as it’s made from metal it feels nicer when scrolling. The normal scroll wheel is also metal and feels really nice. However, due the mountain like sharper incline and decline on the Master 3, I felt like my fingers were slightly further away from the normal scroll wheel and like I had to stretch a little to activate it. The other plus point is the USB-C connection as it charges that much quicker etc.

For me, I care more about comfort so I am willing to compromise and have the Micro-USB connection and the slightly awkward back and forward buttons on the Master 2S (but to be fair they are not that bad if you use the side of your thumb to activate).

So, I hope this review was useful to people considering which to buy. I think Logitech had good intentions, but for me the Master 3 was a disappointment. It’s too humpy, too angular, too narrow, and the scroll wheel feels a few milimetres too far away. However, I think it depends on your hand shape and for some people it may be just what they are looking for. If you have long narrow fingers and palm it may be for you.

I personally an happy with the Master 2S. I think next time Logitech should go back to the original shape, incorporate the metal side scroll and normal scroll wheels from the Master 3, incorporate the back and forward button locations from the Master 3 but make them more tactile like they are on the Master 2s, but keep the auxiliary button location from the 2S and do a larger range of colours to fit all tastes.

I give the Master 2S: 4.5 stars and the Master 3: 3 stars.

UPDATE: One day two of usuing the 2S I noticed it started lagging and would cut out almost like if on standby mode. A few times it also seemed to do nothing when scrolling and then suddenly crolled all the way down the page after a couple of seconds which was really frustrating. Also had issues when trying to select and drag files where it would cut out.

It also seems to completely cut out if you leave the computer unattedned for a few minutes (but has not gone into sleep mode) and takes several swipes to wake up. Rather disappinted, considering the premium price. I am not sure if this is an issue with rechargeable mice, so I am going to look for one that lives off batteries. It’s such a shame because I love teh design of this mouse : (

Sadly I had to return both Master 2S and Master 3

Let me start with the fact I love the feel of this mouse, it’s fits nicely in my hand (except the “gesture button” which doesn’t fall where my thumb naturally is), and it’s super responsive, the tracking in on point etc. UsbC charging is lovely, bringing it in line with my other devices.

(following applies on Mac, not sure how it behaves on windows)
However, where the mouse lacks, it’s in the software. I tried using “Logitech Options”, the official software to get more out of this mouse. I had great hopes for this: being able to use the side scroll for different tools in photoshop for instance, or to easily navigate in between tabs.

But that software is complete crap. The defaults are horrendous (default value for instance for mouse speed is the slowest thing in the world where you have to cross your desk three times to move the mouse).
Not the end of the world, you can change them to something more reasonable. However, it feels to me that with this software, there is no longer a notion of acceleration when you move the mouse, which goes from great to use to just infuriating. The gestures did not work for me at all, and options in softwares like chrome where borderlines at best, if working at all.
Uninstalled that quickly and now I’m just using the mouse like a normal mouse, which it still does very well.

I previously used a wired Corsair gaming mouse, but had heard good reviews about the Master 3 and decided to try it out. Absolutely love the mouse, the scrolling IS ultrafast (and ultra fun to just spin in a loading screen), no detectable input delay, twitch reactions all picked up seamlessly. I personally don’t use the side scroll function, but it is comfortably placed, along with the side buttons. The mouse is also a lot lighter than it looks!
I would say that I have a medium-sized hand (female) and find the mouse very ergonomically suited. I have used it for 4-5 hours non-stop and it’s still very comfortable. The battery is very long lasting, but comes with a recharge cable, that I haven’t had to use yet (over one month’s daily use!).
I use the mouse on a pad, so I can’t say much for the multisurface claims – although I did mess about with it on a clean glass window and it still worked! If that’s how you like to use your mouse then you’re in luck!

Overall, yes, this mouse is worth the money and I would highly recommend it.

I purchased this to replace my first generation MX master and I have to say I’m impressed, the build feels far more premium and far better put together, the new soft plastic Logitech is using is very comfortable. The new scroll wheel feels amazing and is very smooth and quiet compared to the old generation and the new position of the side scroll wheel and the side buttons make the mouse feel far more ergonomic than before. The mouse clicks also feel very tactile and satisfying and every button on the mouse is re-mappable which is very nice!

USB C is a nice touch as well as the inclusion of fast charging, the battery life lasts for literal months, the mouse arrived with 50% and only 2 months later did I have to plug it into charge. Luckily even when you rarely have to charge the mouse it is still functional. Profiles for commonly used applications are great and allow the mouse to respond dynamically to the application you’re using. If Logitech doesn’t automatically support your application of choice you can simply create a profile for it in the software. The sensor also has a very high DPI and response time making it great for gaming as well, for a video editor by day, gamer by night type, this mouse really is the perfect choice.

This mouse, while expensive, is an excellent buy for both productivity and gaming. And you will see years of use from it with no issues!

This is my 4th Logitech MX Master mouse over the last 10 years or so. One was damaged, so replaced, the first one, it’s battery lost too much charge holding capacity, and the 3rd one started to stutter a bit (it lived in a very messy environment, especially toast crumbs!

It looks ridiculously bulky but, and I don’t have large hands, it is by far the most comfortable mouse to use for extended periods (one of the main appeals) the other being the side control buttons and features. I don’t customise it that much but the forward and back buttons on the side for navigating web pages are spot on, the roller which allows you to move horizontally on big spreadsheets is also cool, and the speed wheel (click the button and just spin the wheel free style) is great if you have to navigate up and down very long web pages.
There is a button denoted by a raised line on the left which brings up all the windows that are open and this is a bit quicker than doing alt-tab. You need to install Logitech Options software for some of the benefits.
    Highly recommended.

I’m a computer engineer who was looking for a professional-looking but functional mouse for both work and gaming.

The mouse feels great to use, fits my desired style as modern and professional, and has shown to be a very functional and capable mouse over these past few days. I’ve been a wired mouse user pretty much all my life, and was hesitant to make the move to wireless out of habbit but this mouse finally convinced me to do it. As someone does regular programming and other technical work, the wheels and navigation buttons are very useful.

I was slightly concerned the mouse would be unsuitable for gaming given the wireless and professional aspect but, while many better alternatives exist, this mouse performs a lot better than I was expecting. The extra buttons help, the button on the thumb rest is not prone to accidental pressing, the mouse wheel design can be useful in many situations, and more importantly is accurate and low in latency (I didn’t notice any lag after switching from my wired mid-tier gaming mouse – the Roccat Lua).

I run a dual-boot setup running Windows 10 and Linux (Ubuntu 20.04), so Linux support was also important. The mouse obviously works well on Windows and the companion app (for the extra features etc.) is handy as well; I like that the driver and app download prompt came directly from the mouse. There’s no companion app for Linux, but the extra features are not necessary for a good experience – the mouse is still accurate with functioning buttons and all the other basics work as intended. I haven’t yet looked to see if the Linux community has made an alternative to the companion app nor looked at whether WINE can emulate the app, I’m happy with the configuration out of the box. Linux gaming was also a priority; I game in Linux just as much as Windows, so I was happy to see that the mouse and its buttons are all fully functional without issues.

I’ve been with the MX Master line from the 2nd generation. It is a great mouse for professional use, I do UI Design and Video Editing and it helps me a lot to be more productive and time efficient because it’s so easy to customize.

With time though I learned that the design was not very well thought especially for the thumb button which curiously after around 16 months most of the times it started working and it became a problem because you couldn’t use the mouse.

So with the first one I just had to throw it since the warranty period was over, however with the 2nd one I managed to send it back in time and it was fully refunded.

I’m happy to see they improved on that feedback and fixed the issue and also they made the scrolling weels from aluminum because this way it will last longer. The shape is also greatly improved and it just feels right in the hand.

It is a right handed mouse so if you’re left handed I wouldn’t consider this mouse at all.

Oh another thing that is greatly improved it’s the DPIs which now provides a lot more accuracy compared to the initial 800 DPI and the battery life seems to be about similar, around 2-3 weeks but it’s nice that it has now USB-C and it can quickly charge so no issues there too.

Overall, a really great mouse, I think it’s the best buy for creatives.
