Very expensive but worth every penny and very comfortable to use and never ran out of battery and overall the best mouse that I have used in the last 25 years as software enginee

I have a large hand but this mouse accommodates it well, it’s a little heavy but you don’t really notice it due to the evenly placed feet that it slides on. There’s stacks of adjustments to keep you busy, the only downside to this little monster is it is QUITE EXPENSIVE!!.

I wore my earlier version of this mouse out yesterday after a good 3 years of 10 hours a day 5 days a week minimum for work, it was so good i thought I’d get the newest version to replace it… we’ll it was the best decision I’ve made in ages!

The smoothness and the softness and the speed!!! Absolutely outstanding! Worth every penny. I’ve only been using it for a couple of hours today, but I love it already!

Can’t wait to use it again tomorrow .

So, this mouse is – rightly – well regarded by a large number of people. I needed to replace a venerable Microsoft mouse that I’d had for over 10 years, and really glad that I’ve jumped onto the Logitech MX Master 3S.

It’s really comfortable (for right handed users), the scroll wheel is superb (and I really like the automatic switch from ratcheted to smooth) and pointer tracking seems to be spot on.

I wish that there was slightly more ‘click’ on the main mouse buttons, but I get that’s subjective, and I find that I have to make a conscious effort to move my thumb to hit the ‘Gesture’ button.

The only real downside I find is that there is no on-board storage for the Bolt Receiver – bitter experience tells me that means it’ll go missing at some point in the future. That said, the Bluetooth connectivity is excellent and I don’t notice any lag when connected that way (I’m not a hardcore gamer, others may disagree).

Overall though, I highly recommend it.

The way people and reviewers go on about this mouse, you would think it was a gadget that would just replace and improve any other pointing device and improve your productivity immesurably.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good mouse but it has it’s problems, at least for me.
The design is very nice. I liked it’s weight – heavier than a gaming mouse, it has a good weight to it.
It feels like it is well constructed and the surface has a rubbery coating so your hand does not slip.
There are contoured sides and a ‘shelf’ on the left side for your right hand thumb to ‘rest’.
There are the usual two large buttons and a scroll wheel in the middle, which can also be clicked.
Flat on the thumb ‘shelf’, is a new button for gestures. This button is horizontal so you have to press down on it wwhile you move the mouse up, down, left or right to swap desktops or activate Launchpad. I found the combination of pressing down with the thumb and moving the mouse awkward because you are trying to hold the mouse with your thumb at the same time.
The idea of the gestures button though is great. If only it could have been placed somewhere else. It’s still useable though and helpful.
There are two buttons immediatley above where the thumb rests, initially programmed as back and forward for browsers but most of the buttons can be reassigned using the Logi Options+ softwhere.
Right above these two buttons is the side to side scrolling wheel. This is in an awkward place for regular use, but it’s ok.
Above the main scroll wheel is one for settig the scroll type – either a super fast and loose free spinning mode or a more exact magnetically constrained mode which gives you some feedback and a bumpy feel to each small turn.
So the design is OK to good with some annoyances but when I began using the mouse I encountered another problem: I have two systems – a Mac Mini and a Del Windows laptop, I use for work.
I switch the systems with a KVM switch. I have zero issues moving from one system to another and back again using the older Logitech Ergo Trackball and the unifying receiver. With this newer mouse and updated Bolt receiver and software Logi Options+, the scroll wheels stop working on Windows after switching from the Mac system. All the other buttons work and the mouse movement is still detected but the scroll wheels don’t. I have to pick up the mouse, flip it over and press the bluetooth connection button three times so it is disconnected and reconnected to the 2.4 ghz receiver.
Otherwise the mouse feels as good as any other I’ve used in the last 20 years.
You may think, these are just niggles and not deal breakers but when I pay the best part of a hundred pounds for a mouse, I want it to be an upgrade on the older device, it’s replacing and to work perfectly. With this, it’s been hyped up as the be all and end all but has some design issues, is awkward to use with some gestures and has to be disconnected and reconnected each time I swap systems. More issues using this than I had with the older technology. Even given the addional buttons and decent software this is disappointing.

I spent weeks deciding whether or not to splash out on this mouse for design based work. In the end I caught it on sale one day and so glad that I did.

It is comfy to use, the material feels nice in your hand, cable free, battery life is excellent (as in weeks/months), quiet, works on any pretty much any surface (including glass table top), the weight/roll and accuracy on the wheel, can customise buttons for specific apps.

Only negatives for me is there is nowhere to store the usb receiver and also can be difficult to switch connection back to the usb receiver after using bluetooth. The horizontal wheel hasn’t been particularly useful as use is inconsistent among different apps. For some people, no left handed version will be a major issue.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAlright, strap in folks, because I’m about to gush over this clicky comrade, the Logitech MX Master 3S. I’ve had my hands on some fancy mice — you know, the kind that cost more than a decent meal at a Michelin-starred joint. But THIS one? It’s like it was handcrafted by the tech gods themselves.

The weight? Imagine Thor’s hammer, but if Thor were a computer nerd who liked ergonomic design. And the scroll wheel — oh, the scroll wheel! It’s smoother than a jazz solo on a lazy Sunday. I’m telling you, scrolling through spreadsheets feels borderline indecent.

Dive into YouTube, and it’s like a love letter to this mouse. “Not great?” Never heard of her. This is the king of Clickville, the sultan of Scroll, the emperor of Ergo!

Now, the Mac connectivity… Let’s say it’s like trying to tango with two left feet. It works, but it’s clunky. Like trying to fit a square peg in a round Apple ecosystem. It’s like the mouse and the Mac are on a first date, and it’s super awkward.

So maybe I’m now saving pennies for that Apple mouse, the one you charge from the bottom — because why not make it inconvenient, right? Until then, I’ll bask in the glory of my Master 3S, the little mouse that could (and did) outshine them all.

For the past 10 years, I’ve exclusively used Apple mice. Initially, it was the old Mighty Mouse with a small ball instead of a scroll wheel, then the first and second generations of the Magic Mouse. And I thought it was a great and only solution if you’re into Apple. However, I always wanted to try Logitech since I’ve seen too many good reviews from YouTubers. Finally bought it, tested it, and have a few thoughts:

    – The mouse is large. I primarily planned to use this one in the home office and leave the Magic Mouse in the backpack for work outside of the home. That’s how it’ll probably be :).
    – The mouse is comfortable. My hand got tired in the first few hours, but by the second day, I got used to it, and now it’s a pure pleasure.
    – Lots of buttons. You can customize them in Logi Options+, special software for this purpose. Interestingly, you can set up different configurations for different programs.
    – The mouse is very sensitive, and 8K DPI is a lot. Too much for me :).
    – Infinite scroll is surprisingly convenient. You can switch between scrolling with light clicks or completely smoothly. The Magic Mouse’s touchpad provides a completely different experience. Convenient in use.
    – The build quality is top-notch. Good plastic, rubberized base. It really feels like a premium product.
    – You can connect it to three devices simultaneously and switch between them. You can connect via USB dongle or Bluetooth.
    – I haven’t had a chance to fully test the battery life, but I have no doubts that I won’t have to charge it frequently. Unlike the Apple mouse, which needs to be flipped over, this one can be charged while working.

After over a week of daily use, I have only pleasant impressions. Moreover, if I had to choose between buying the Apple Magic Mouse again or this one, I would choose Logitech.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bulky mouse

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe Logitech MX Master 3S is a flagship premium mouse.

The build quality is excellent, from the soft and comfortable coating of the mouse, to the premium metal elements. The mouse has a virtually silent click which retains a tactile and positive feel in the hand, without a loud and annoying noise.

The mouse offers a lot of customisation options for the buttons which can allow for a more efficient workflow. For example I have set the two side buttons to be Copy and Paste. This allows me to quickly copy and paste data between spreadsheets.

The battery life is excellent, after 3 months of use I have had to charge it once. This is an impressive leap forward compared to my previous Logitech mouse which lasted 10 hours per charge. Unfortunately the battery is fixed in the mouse meaning if it fails in a few years you will not easily be able to replace it.

The ergonomic design of the mouse is good but not quite perfect. There is a slight tilt on the mouse that is good for your wrists but means that you hard feels like it is falling off the edge. Over time I have found that the ring and little finger can become sore and agitated from the position. My previous Logitech mouse had a similar design but was much more comfortable.

You are certainly getting a premium product, which should be expected at this price point. It will be subject to the individual to decide whether this is cost efficient for them. For anyone using a computer daily in their job it does make sense to have a productive and ergonomic mouse.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have never owned a mouse in my life. Rarely write reviews. Love computers though. Here’s me at 10 at night writing a review when I could be smashing Cyberpunk 2077. But no.

    Reason for 5 stars –
I recently started an apprentice developer role which has been a dream since childhood, and have used a Mac for last 4 years purely trackpad. I have never in my life needed a mouse (especially personal), and honestly out of pure ignorance have never been able to realise that mouses have got more advanced since school days.

    So much more advanced.
I was reluctant to get this and tried to convince myself the work computers small trackpad will be sufficient. On the recommendations from colleagues who had the master 2, it was prime day and I had just been paid, so impulsively bought this MX3, I regretted it instantly if I am honest (although the 2 would have been more than sufficient for me I won’t lie). Damn you Amazon and your marketing !!

I am still an apprentice, but all I can do is laugh at myself for regretting buying this mouse.

In the space of a few days my navigation issues were a thing of the past and as of this moment writing this have finally experienced a proper ‘flow state’. Managing to use keyboard commands through the mouse, the gestures, the ability to just fly to where you want to go is just mind-boggling and this is a SERIOUSLY handy piece of tech. I’m a bit of an apple nerd and they could only dream of this if I am honest. A lot of the beauty is in its simplicity and functionality that cannot really be streamlined (until we use our actual hands I guess..)

Look I am an early days in my career and this will likely be the only mouse I ever buy, its that good.

I have got the Logi Keys Mini which pair perfectly and both can be used on Mac and Windows simultaneously which is a bonus. It’s just a shame I am early in my career as I think I’d see even more improvements.

Just buy it and thank me later!

Only thing I will add is that do not buy this if you are left handed (they do a left handed one btw), as I realise how amazing my review is and that I may cause someone to impulsively buy it like myself. OOOOPS.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLong review below, quick pros and cons here:

+ Muffled but still tactile click means no annoying others
    + Sleek design and software
+ Filled to the brim with features to speed up your work

    – Software has some minor issues
    – Slightly awkward grip for larger hands
    – No place to store the dongle (I recommend buying a case anyway)

The main difference between the 3S and the 3, besides improved internals, is the quiet click. I thought this would feel weird, as someone used to clicky gamer mice, but it still feels satisfying, whilst not being as annoying or loud for those around you.

Some other key features of the mouse are the free-scroll toggle, the side scroll wheel, and the action button. I’ll talk a little about each.

The free-scroll (I can’t remember the marketing name for it) unlocks the ‘stepping’ nature that standard scroll wheels have, where you can feel the click as it rotates. This mouse (I assume using magnets) detects when you’re scrolling fast, and disables this lock, allowing the wheel to spin as fast as you can spin it. You can also press the button behind the wheel to permanently disable this lock, though I will say this feels odd to use in some situations. The friction is so low that if you do a quick, fast spin, it will keep spinning for long enough that you can forget you did it, and you’ll wonder why the page keeps scrolling.

The side scroll wheel comes in handy, mostly for planning large documents or spreadsheets. You can remap it, maybe to changing brush size or something else, on an app-per-app basis, using the software, but I’ll talk about that later. This wheel (maybe more of a barrel) doesn’t have free-scroll, but you’d hardly need it.

The final feature is the action button, hidden away in the thumb rest. This is kind of a ‘5-in-1’, as you can perform 5 actions: clicking it down, or clicking it down and then dragging it in the 4 cardinal directions. (Again, remappable in software) I’m yet to use this regularly but I can see it being powerful.

Now, the software. The UI is clean and well designed, and it was reasonably simple to set up the mouse, from which you can set up profiles based on each app you have, and change what each button does. However, I’ve had issues where certains apps (notably some games so not everyone’s use case) don’t detect the inputs of the forward and back thumb buttons, at least until I open the Logi+ Options App. I would say your mileage may vary though as this only started happening recently and may be a personal issue.

One final point would be I’ve experienced some discomfort holding this mouse, but this may be due to having larger hands and not properly adjusting my grip to this more ergonomic style, especially as I’m noticing it less or getting used to it. Again, your mileage may vary.

So overall, a 4* experience, some minor nitpicks keeping it from perfect. I’d definitely still recommend if you want to streamline your creative or productive workflow, but if you don’t need the bells and whistles there are similarly efficient mice that are cheaper.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mostly all I'd hoped and better, just takes a little getting used to.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m quite pleased with my recent acquisition, the Logitech MX Master 3S – Wireless Performance Mouse. It has become such an essential tool for my work that I even bought another one to use at home. This mouse is a game-changer in terms of productivity and comfort.

The ultra-fast scrolling feature is a standout. It makes navigating through long documents and web pages a breeze. The ergonomics of the mouse are well-designed, providing a comfortable grip even during extended usage. The 8K DPI (dots per inch) sensor ensures precise and responsive tracking, which is a must for any task, especially in my line of work.

Furthermore, the wireless connectivity is reliable, and the battery life is impressive. It’s great to have a mouse that you can count on throughout the day without worrying about constant recharging. The build quality is solid, and it exudes a professional look and feel.

In summary, the Logitech MX Master 3S is a top-notch wireless mouse that combines performance, ergonomics, and durability. It’s an excellent choice for those who value efficiency and comfort in their work setup, and I highly recommend it. A bit over priced.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI recently made the switch from the Apple Magic Trackpad to the Logitech MX Master 3S, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer! Having used the Magic Trackpad for years, I was a bit hesitant to try a traditional mouse, but the MX Master 3S has completely won me over.

First and foremost, the precision is outstanding. The customizable buttons and ergonomic design make navigation a breeze, whether you’re working on your Windows PC or MacBook Air M1. It’s a true all-in-one solution for multi-device users.

The seamless transition between devices is where the MX Master 3S truly shines. With the ability to effortlessly switch between my Windows and MacBook computers, it has eliminated the need for multiple peripherals. The convenience of not having to juggle different mice for different systems is a huge plus.

I stumbled upon this mouse thanks to the internet hype, and I must say, it lives up to its reputation. The build quality is top-notch, and the battery life is impressive. I can go for days without worrying about recharging, and when I do need to, it’s a quick and hassle-free process.

But the Logitech experience doesn’t stop there. I also invested in the MX Keys Mini keyboard to complement the MX Master 3S. The combination of these two peripherals is a match made in productivity heaven. The MX Keys Mini is compact yet functional, and the backlit keys are a nice touch.

Yes, the price tag is on the higher side, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. The Logitech MX Master 3S and MX Keys Mini have seamlessly integrated into my workflow, enhancing both efficiency and comfort.

If you’re a multi-device user who values precision, comfort, and seamless connectivity, the Logitech MX Master 3S is a fantastic investment. It’s safe to say that I’m now a Logitech enthusiast, and I can’t recommend this mouse enough!

I don’t particularly think I have large hands but ‘normal/gaming’ mice do not offer any support and feel too light.

The MX Master feels great in the hand, it’s accurate and has superb functionality.

No, it doesn’t run as 1200DPI but honestly who needs that realistically. It’s absolutely fine for casual gaming and superb for productivity.

Battery life is out of this world and I’ve only charged it once from 80% to full since purchase.

100% happy with my purchase even if initially I had doubts about the cost.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersAllow me to introduce you to the Logitech MX Master 3S, a mouse that has truly transformed my computing experience and earned every bit of its well-deserved 5-star rating. In this review, I’ll delve into its exceptional features, with a special emphasis on its remarkable battery life.

Design and Build (5/5): This mouse is more than a mere tool; it’s a work of art. Its sleek, contemporary design and premium feel make it a joy to hold. The ergonomic design fits my hand seamlessly, and the materials used in its construction exude quality, putting an end to hand discomfort and the cheap plastic feel found in lesser mice.

Scrolling Sensation (5/5): The scrolling wheel is a standout feature. It delivers an impressively smooth and precise scrolling experience. Whether you prefer a clicky, line-by-line scroll or a lightning-fast flick, this mouse accommodates your scrolling needs perfectly, making it ideal for extended document reading or extensive web browsing.

Customisable Buttons (5/5): One of the mouse’s standout features is the ability to customise its numerous buttons. With a plethora of buttons at your disposal, you can configure them for specific tasks across various applications. Personally, I’ve set up a plethora of shortcuts, effectively creating a personal productivity shortcut paradise.

Precision and Speed (5/5): The mouse’s sensor is nothing short of exceptional. It offers unparalleled accuracy, and you can effortlessly switch between different DPI settings on the fly. Whether you’re engaged in graphic design or immersing yourself in a gaming session, this mouse caters to your every precision and speed requirement.

Battery Life for Days (5/5): Now, let’s talk about the mouse’s crowning glory – its exceptional battery life. I’ve used this mouse for weeks on end without needing a recharge. Yes, you heard that correctly, weeks. And when the time finally arrives for a recharge, a quick 1-minute charge grants you hours of uninterrupted usage. Gone are the days of fretting about a mid-workday battery drain.

Easy Multi-Device Switching (5/5): Switching between devices is an effortless process. I’ve successfully paired this mouse with both my laptop and desktop. With a simple press of a button, I can seamlessly transition between the two, a true time-saver for multitaskers.

Logitech Options Software (5/5): The Logitech Options software is where the real magic unfolds. It provides an extensive array of customisation options. You can fine-tune settings, create application-specific profiles, and even establish gesture controls. It’s akin to having a mouse that dances to your unique tune.

In summary, the Logitech MX Master 3S is, without a doubt, the finest mouse I’ve ever had the privilege to use. It brings together stunning aesthetics, outstanding performance, and a plethora of customisation possibilities. And when it comes to battery life, it’s a true game-changer. If you’re serious about boosting your efficiency at work or gaining a competitive edge in your gaming endeavors, this mouse will be your indispensable companion. My wholehearted recommendation – it’s worth every penny!

Great mouse I upgraded from the MX 2 but if you’re choosing between them get the cheapest as there’s not much difference. I think prefer the 2 for the button placements. Don’t get white as it gets grubby very quickly but the grey/black looks the best the longest.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy old mouse finally died after dropping from a height. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with the last one until I purchased this Logitech version. Its so ergonomic, your hand just seems to fit perfectly, this isn’t just nice to use but I find it also reduces hand strain. Feel great in your hand and is super accurate. The scroll wheel is especially good. A slow scroll results in a graduated slow scroll and a fast scroll literally zooms . This is great for long web pages where you need to find something fast.

Very comfortable to use. Easy to download the app to customise the mouse which has many features to fit to preference: button binding for each application you use, sensitivity, etc. The mouse is very quiet and feels smooth when using. The only thing that may take getting used to is the right and left click buttons are almost too easy to click compared to other mouses.

I previously had the mx2 and was impressed with that. The fast wheel scroll and side buttons are so responsive. I thought the old mouse was great but this mouse takes it to another level. So comfortable to use and feels great in larger hands. The fast scroll is a great improvement on the mx2 model which is saying something.
Battery is proving to last as long as the older model, so I expect it to last a few months. And it’s usb-c which makes it easy to charge up.

If you a developer and have to scroll through lots of code, web pages or even excel then this is the mouse for you. Too marks!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using the Apple Magic Mouse since it was released back in 2009. Being a HUGE fan of the gestures, I had reservations about replacing it with the MX Master. I’ve no regrets now though, having used it for a few weeks.

It took a bit of getting used to as it’s such a different ‘object’ to hold than the Magic Mouse. Using my middle finger for scrolling and ring finger for right clicking for instance, is such a different way of using it that it took a couple of days to change to the different way of working. After 10+ years of Magic Mouse use, getting used to using buttons instead of gestures also took a bit of time to adapt to. Comfort is FAR better than anything Apple have ever designed though. The only drawback in regards to comfort/ergonomics, is that because it completely fills my hand and has a rubbery coating, after long periods of use, my hand can become a bit clammy.

With regards to buttons instead of gestures (the main thing holding me back from replacing the Magic Mouse sooner), I’ve no regrets there. In fact, after the initial period of getting used to it, I actually massively prefer it. The ability to customise the buttons functions, and to do that on a per app basis, is a game changer. I’ve got buttons set up to do different things in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc. Apple would never let you do that. It’s completely changed the way I interact with my Mac.

    Just get one.

The Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse is a great device designed for productivity and performance.

Featuring advanced sensor technology, customizable controls, and a sleek design, I love using it and it has made my job very easy.

I am able to customise the buttons to suit my needs and now I am able to cut, copy, paste, screenshot, go back and forward, navigate to desktop from any page all with just one click.

Another features that stand out for ne is its darkfield laser sensor, which has a sensitivity of up to 8,000 DPI and accurately tracks any surface, including glass.

The rugged design of this mouse is also durable, providing excellent quality for long-lasting use.

The battery life is good, I have been using this mouse since 19 of May 2023 for 5 to 6 days, 6 to 8 hours a day and I have only needed to charge it twice.

I highly recommended for anyone who needs a top quality wireless mouse for office or long time use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased with this mouse

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTrust me here, I have been using gamer/pro mouses for over 15 years, had Razer, Steel Series, 3dConnexion, the works. THIS IS MILES AWAY.
Ergos are top notch, feel is absolutely premium. The way the scroll wheel turns is very satisfying and there’s a great inertia to it that makes long or short scrolls really smooth. Will report in a year to see how the material stands use, as these soft touch materials usually get ruined quite easily.
The Logi Options+ app works like a charm and UX is nice and neat. Even for a mouse with ‘few’ buttons (I’ve used a RAzer Naga for years, with 12 cusotmizable buttons and options to switch layouts so in total 34 buttons), customization options are really nicely thought out. There’s even a ‘hidden’ button on the thumbrest which I didn’t see when I bought it. And you can create profiles depending on the app you use, which is what’s standard for today’s smart mouses anyway.
    This is a keeper.

    Really like the built quality.
    Colour in white looks nice.

Nice feel on the Vertical and Horizontal scroll.

    Nice quiet click.

I had lagging problems in the begaining even with using the bolt usb.
After a few trial and adjustment around my PC I found that the functional distance between the sensor and the mouse is within a meter. So it will lag if you place any further than 1m. (Im disapointed providing this is the top of the range product). Imagine you have a 30 plus inch monitor, you are placing your CPU futher away. As well as trying to keep all the wire away from sight. You will ended up with a Non functional mouse.

Sensor smoothness scored lower if we compare to the mid range gaming mouse. (G703)

Lets be honest, one of the best features of a Mac is the gestures, and unless you are using an Apple Magic Mouse, you have always felt like you are missing out when using a mouse with macOS. And of course all generations of the Apple Magic Mouse are too small and for most people are just plain uncomfortable to use as a daily driver.

So here comes the Logitech MX Master 3S to neatly solve all of those problems. As a mouse, its great, accurate, comfortable to use, has more buttons that I can remember what to use them for, and my wrist and knuckle joints are already feeling better at the end of a work day vs just using my Apple Magic Trackpad.

For gestures, there is a small button on the thumb rest which you press and hold, and then move the mouse pointer to emulate gestures within MacOS. Once you have installed the Logi Options+ app everything (to borrow a line from Apple) “just works”.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI pulled it out of the box (the packaging and presentation of this mouse was exquisite may I say). It feels incredibly natural to hold which is insane considering it’s shaped unusally and differently to a normal mouse with its focus on ergonomic grip especially curving around and under the thumb, with convinient thumb scroll wheel and buttons. The magnetic scroll wheel is also a massive plus scrolling quickly through big web pages, articles or folders is a must at times. And even though it’s advertised as silent clicks, its not the quietest I’ve ever heard a mouse click but definitely 10 times better than most others on the market.

If you need a more comfortable, extremely customisable (with Logi Options App) and fast convenient mouse, don’t hesitate, honestly to some it may seem expensive but when you compare this to the likes of the magic mouse for around the same price it is so much better in quality, comfort and use case, it even tries to recreate apple gestures a bit with certain button presses and mouse movements which also surprisingly feel natural too.

All in all I honestly think this product is too cheap, I think Logi are loosing out they should at least be selling this for 200+ cause I literally can’t fault it in anyway. Flawless, best mouse ever!

Gorgeously comfortable mouse for someone with a fairly small hand like mine which fits perfectly around it, and right-handed. Might be more tricky for a larger hand. The only reason I have taken off a * is a left-handed version is not currently available. This is unusual as Logitech do left handed versions of other mice. Power consumption amazing – have only charged it twice in six weeks when it was only about 80% of remaining power. Would recommend turning it off when the linked computer is off as it will continue to try to link.

Everything about this mouse is perfect, you do need to give it some time to get used to the shape of it about a day or so, but once you do its soooo comfy to use! I usually use a Razer gaming mouse and thats fine however for more prolonged periods of time the Logitech MX Master 3S is defiantly more comfortable. the reason I bought it was to use it at my job where ill be on the computer for 8h a day and wanted something thats comfortable. but now I just want to use this mouse for everything!

if you are stuck on deciding on to get the 3s or the 2s go for the 3s, the buttons are more silent but feel good and much better than the 2s, the mouse its self is better built and the scroll wheel is majorly improved! side buttens are in a better place and also has extra motion buttons!

I really like this mouse. It was recommended to me by the ergonomics person at work. The horizontal scroll wheel is excellent for work on large spreadsheets and I use it daily.

One downside: I ordered the white version and it looked lovely, but after a few months it has started to show some grey stains where my hand rests on the mouse. Not very appealing. I reached out to Amazon and they offered a replacement, where I would have to return the mouse first. I would’ve preferred a partial discount as I need the product and it’s still a perfectly fine mouse, but I was no longer eligible as the order was placed >6 months ago. I’ll be keeping it, but am still a bit bummed.

Coming from my old trusty M185 Logitech mouse, I was slightly worried I’d find this too bulky or most things wouldn’t work on Linux (Mint 21.1). I shouldn’t have been. It felt instantly comfortable and almost all the buttons worked on Linux with Solaar (1.1.9) straight out of the box. The only thing I did was reverse the direction of the horizontal thumb scroll wheel, which was easy to do with a single option in Solaar. As someone who uses code and jupyter notebooks etc, I would often find myself with horizontal content wider than the screen/viewport and have to find the horizontal scroll bar to click and drag it. I never knew I was missing a horizontal thumb scroll wheel from my life!

I haven’t done anything with the additional gestures button on the thumb rest. That doesn’t seem to do anything out of the box, but I’ve not looked into it at all. This is the only functionality that doesn’t seem to do anything from the get go.

I use Bluetooth to connect. There’s often a very slight lag as the mouse wakes up when you move it after a period of inactivity. I assume this is a power saving thing. Whether this is any different if you connect via the included USB dongle, I don’t know. I don’t use that because I still use my old wireless Logitech keyboard that doesn’t work on the new dongle and I didn’t see the point having two plugged in.

I bought this to replace my infected MX3 as the rubber had deteriorated quite badly. Unfortunately the version I received was the bolt version, which means my MX Keys won’t work on this dongle. Nowhere did it state this was the bolt version, so a little vexed. But quick delivery and the mouse feels awesome as usual. Also worth noting that on Linux, the gesture button cannot be used as the app switcher unlike the normal MX3. So a custom rule in Solaar and button divert needs to be setup.

UPDATE 17/06/23: The scroll wheel function is so much worse than the mx3. The toggle button no longer functions. You can only toggle via software.
The smooth scrolling is gone, now it’s in steps, so not smooth.
Scrolling in general is an issue. Sometimes you have to scroll a lot to move an inch.
The battery life is poor compared to the mx3. eg mx3=months between charges, mx3s=every month
