First of this game felt different compared to the first one, The layout felt so much better with alot of puzzles that make up the game.
I did enjoy the sense of humor this game provided which made the game far more enjoyable to play through.
I didn’t like the fact that every time i activated a character special ability it would go straight into a cut scene however, this can be turned off in the menu it was good for the first time or as occasionally but not every single time. Although this is a turn base game.
I liked the fact that each spark effect i know will happen as with the previous title is was more of a random situation and at times was frustrating.
The fact you can select the team you would like to use instead of like the previous one where you must have to Mario.
Overall its a great Mario game
Came quickly, great packaging and a fun game- what’s not to love! People are split on which game they prefer but I’ve got to say they’ve made massive improvements with this one and I’ve been really enjoying it so far.
The gameplay improvements are well come in this version over the first game. They add an extra element that allows you to play the game more freely. The visuals are very nice and the performance is good.
Overall, I’d pick this up even if you haven’t played the first one. It’s fun and engaging for the younger player but has enough depth for people who like the more tactical side of things.

Even if you think you know this game, you don’t. Give it a try and be surprised. It’s so underrated by gamers. I hope they make a third one. This is such an experience and we’ll worth every penny, offering tons of fun.
Really enjoyable game for kids and dads to play together. Only slight issue is that they dropped the multiplayer they had on the first game but apart from that the game itself is fantastic..
Great price and keeps kids happy for hours
My son is 5 and enjoys playing it on his own and we have had some great fun as a family playing together also.
This is a fun little game – Ordered just before Christmas and unfortunately it got sent back to Amazon for some reason. Ordered somewhere else and have had great fun playing.
However, check the edition you recieve. This was advertised as the “Cosmic Edition” which should say that on the box and include a code inside for some extra weapons. I received the standard copy. Reported incorrect listing to Amazon but nothing seems to have changed.
Decided to keep the game rather than return, as the bulk of the content is exactly the same. But if you have your heart set on the Cosmic Edition, just double check your copy!
