My friends children like to use it and you do need to remember it a toy rather than a precision tool but saying that it still works great.
A great little fun metal detector for Kid’s, please understand this does pick up metal but is only for fun use with kid’s. good for 2inch underground for a ring. again this is a fun toy for kids. but all in all worth the 40.

Helps pinpoint the exact spot where something was detected with a proper metal detector so you can dig it out. Good size, fairly well made and works very well but it does have a slight plasticky feel to it.
I say this is for children as it does detect metals however does not pick up small items like ear rings but for 19.99 it’s well built and seems very sturdy. Good for kids to explore with or use as a pin pointe

My son recently tried this Metal Detector Pinpointer, PaNt Lightweight Waterproof 360Search Gold Treasure Finder Probe Metal Detectors Kids and Adult, With Buzzer Vibration LED Wand Metal Detecting Tool and he is hooked! We had a great time exploring our local park and beach, finding coins and other interesting items that we never knew were there.
The pinpointer is lightweight and comfortable to hold, making it easy for my son to use. The buzzer and vibration modes help to indicate when he has found something, and the LED light is useful for finding objects in the dark. The waterproof design is great for exploring near water.
We found that it is best to start by slowly sweeping the pinpointer in a specific area, and then narrow the search area if something is detected. We also found that it is helpful to wear headphones so that you can hear the buzzer/vibration better. Overall, we are very impressed with this metal detector pinpointer and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and interesting way to explore their area.
This metal detector comes in a plain cardboard box and inside you’ll find the metal detector, belt clip, 9v PP3 battery, and an instruction leaflet.
The metal detector has a plastic shell and needs a 9v PP3 battery for power. There is a battery included in the box and you unscrew the red end, connect up the battery, insert it into the shell of the detector and screw the cap back on. The metal detector is lightweight and easy to hold. It’s also extremely easy to use as you wave the length of the detector over the area to be scanned and once it’s detected metal, you then point the tip of the detector to precisely locate where the metal is. There is an audible beep which gets quicker when you get closer. There is also a visual aid with three green LEDs on the top of the detector. All three will be flashing when you are over the area where the metal is.
Burying a coin in the garden, I found it could find it if it was no deeper 6cm. These metal detectors are usually used to do the final finding of metal after you have already found something with a bigger metal detector and dug the earth up but they are ok on their own if your metal isn’t buried too deep.
This metal detector gave me accurate readings and I could pinpoint exactly where the coin was by using the tip for a more accurate reading. I’m more than happy with this as it’s so easy to use

This is really easy and convenient to use. Has a good range for finding metal and my kids had a ball searching our garden! It found a fork that was 3 feet down in our back yard. Kids were disappointed it wasn’t pirate treasure but given you never know what we will find next.
I would call it a metal detector for beginners. It is light in weight yet feels sturdy and durable. Very easy to set up and use. It needs a 9V battery which has already been provided. You can start using it straightaway. The pin pointer does work however, if you have buried it deep under then it doesn’t detect it . Having said that my kids still had plenty of fun with this metal pin pointer. Easy to carry around. Kids are looking forward to the trip to the beach so that they can have more fun with it and try and find hidden treasure 🙂

I got this metal detector for my children for them to have some fun in the garden.
I hid some iron nails and small tins around the garden for them to find using the metal detector.
The children really enjoyed doing it and had lots of funs during this half term.
However, it can’t sense metal that buried too deep.
We plan to bring the metal detector to the beach in summer as it was waterproof and they could search in the rock pools as well.
I’m really hoping this is going to help me uncover the ring my Nanny gave me some years ago that I lost while digging a new border in the back garden a couple of Summers ago honestly, I still haven’t forgiven myself.
Operation is very straightforward (which is handy for me as I’m not very technically minded!) and thankfully, you’re supplied with the 9v battery needed to power the detector.
I tested it with a few known items that I placed at various depths in the ground and in the gravel driveway and I got accurate detection to around 8cm below the surface. I’m not sure if that’s good or not but it should hopefully prove enough for locating my ring or I’ll have to go all Time Team and dig some test pits and try and detect in those to compensate for the added depth!
For 22.90, plus a 10% off voucher, at the time of writing, this is what I was expecting to pay for a beginner friendly device and I’m pleased with the simple and intuitive layout of the buttons, the dual vibrate and tone detection alert and the overall build quality.
Hi, it’s a good little metal detector, comes with a battery so plug in and play away, my son has it and it going round the garden digging up bits, so he’s having fun, it depends on the metal as it can detect screws in stud walls and pipes behind, but I dug down some metal stuff in the garden, not to deep and it can’t find it unless directly on top or touching, it would be ok under 20
It’s good for kids to play with and maybe lost earings or screws in rugs but it’s not something you would use to search for buried treasure.
It won’t detect metal that’s buried deeper than just a few inches below the surface. I buried a coin a foot below the surface in the garden and it couldn’t find it
However – it is a good game for kids and adults to play around with

The closer you are to a metal artefact the faster it will beep.
I tried it out with gold, silver, a 2 pence coin and a bunch of keys, and found that it was responsive, accurate and alerted me consistently.
I believe this would be a great place to start if you’re new to metal detecting but it’s also great for those with more experience too.
It comes supplied with a durable belt harness and the battery.
In my opinion it’s great value and sturdy.
It’s simple to clean and suitable for all ages.

Great small metal detector for children. Fun hiding small items in a sand box then letting my granddaughter find them and dig them out. Small enough to fit in a bag when going to the park. Comes with a 9V battery
The sound gets louder the closer the probe is to the metal.
It was also extremely useful trying to find an earring butterfly that had fallen in my rug. Not the most accurate but it did also keep sounding over my laminate floor until we realised it was being caused by the nails in the floor boards, so it does pick up metal through quite thick items.
Good fun, looking forward to using it in the garden to find hidden treasure.
