After many hours setting the box up and sorting the glitches out my daughter who is 2 loves it.
First thing to know is getting the box setup via WiFi is hard work, doesn’t always work and we went through the reset process several times, you have to right on top of the router for it to link, the app is friendly but limited.
We found it hard to skip the tracks pr songs by tapping the side, almost never worked, another glitch not spoken about, put the box on the charger and allow it to switch itself off takes around 10mins once that has happened the box skips fine with a light tap even does forwarding via slight tilt. Something the company fails to mention.
For those who seem to think it doesn’t work off the charger it does but if you haven’t fully downloaded the character or charged it then it won’t, you need to allow the blue flashing to finish the download and go green.
Great box once working but takes a while to sort out, the company don’t give much paperwork to help iron out those problems, make sure if a gift you setup beforing gifting.
If you move locations or other people’s houses you need to sort the WiFi again to attach to be able to add new characters, it won’t work without that.
Personally my only major issue is the character price, 15 each, some have lots of stories with songs and others have hardly anything on. Not consistent with what they should be worth for value.
Purchased for my granddaughter’s 2nd birthday. She worked it out immediately. The characters are a breeze to interchange and once she’d exchanged all the one’s I purchased with it, she worked out her favourites very quickly. Her 5 year old sister loves it too.
A great gift from a grateful grandparent that is doubly thankful the gift was a success, and that I won’t have to listen to the hideous music it plays
My grand daughter (6 months) absolutely loves her Tonie box and the 9 characters I bought. And my daughter and son in law also love it. All of us grandparents have recorded stories for her to listen to, as we live a 2 hour drive away.
Really amazing our child loves it. got 5 tonies. Now it’s easy for people to get a gift just buy a tonies . Sound quality is good. Good build tonies are well made. and durable. i wish they are alexa compatible
Very impressed with this purchase. The range of figures to buy is Impressive but on the app there are also hundreds of free songs, stories and quizzes. Hours of fun can be spent and it keeps my daughter occupied. She loves it.
We bought this set as a birthday present for out daughter while it was in a good deal on Prime Day and she absolutely loves it. This is the ideal way to get your children learning and listening to stories rather than siting watching TV all day.
We also love that there are so many different characters available so if we (or anyone else in the family) is looking for gift ideas in the future then the answer is “Please just buy her a new figure for her Tonie box” and the gift keeps on giving.

My little ones listen to different stories and songs almost everyday, it’s very robust it has been dropped a few times, they can easily change the figures as they are magnetic, and they can use the skip and forward/backward functions easily. The only downside is the setting up of the box it took me 2hrs to try and sort it out I had to connect it to the WiFi and then my phone hotspot, it was a very frustrating task. The Disney figures are good, they have the songs from the films but they aren’t sung by the original cast. The creative Tonie is fun, you can upload a sound or story through the tonies app. The tonies app and website has free audio that you can load onto them which changes monthly.
Purchased for my 2 year old son at Christmas and he absolutely loves it. So easy for little ones to use independently and there is a great range of characters available to buy (beware that they have age ranges and some are more chapter books so for older children). This is a great product to adopt into a child’s bedtime routine along with traditional books
My granddaughter loves this Christmas gift. I was really surprised how clear the sound was. It also gives her some time to herself away from her baby brother. She is only 3 and she can work it by herself.
