One of my best investment. I’ve got this product on a 50% discount. I’ve been hesitating for a few weeks then i decided to give it a try and I am very happy with it. Top quality. I never missed a spot since I use this toothbrush. Very easy to connect it to your smartphone and track all your activities. Two users can use it but only at one at the time and the other has to disconnect feom the smartphone.
I am happy with it and highly recommend it.
I finally upgraded my previous toothbrush for over 8years . The attachments were always replaced but just wasn’t as powerful. This one is worth every penny . I love the guidance you get and have seen a noticeable different in my teeth after the first week . Love this a great investme
I have had older version of Oral B electric toothbrush and wanted to upgrade, this one exceeded my expectation, easy and comfortable to use, my teeth never been so white as well
I lasted a day before ordering an iO9 after hygienist recommendation/demo. Great to be able to track your brushing, and improve brushing technique. Care: I was a bit heavy-handed to start with so reduced to Sensitive for a few days. Good to try different modes, they are all equally effective. Definitely a worthwhile investment.
By far the best toothbrush I’ve ever used. My teeth feel extremely clean and the different modes are a nice touch. Having used much cheaper electric toothbrushes in the past, you can really tell the different with this much more premium device.
Comes with an app to see exactly what you’ve done / missed but to be honest, I only use this occasionally.
Much more comfortable feeling on my teeth than my ancient Oralb brush.
Bought this to use the app to really make an effort with my oral health but soon found out the accelerometer isn’t very accurate at knowing which part of your mouth your brushing so that lasted three days. Could have got the cheaper io8 which doesn’t have the app and still had the other benefits.
The toothbrush functions are great and my teeth and tongue have never felt cleaner. However the battery is absolute rubbish! I started to notice it a while ago, it would state it had 40% then die. Then today it died at 68%! I have tried switching it back on in case I pressed it and the toothbrush just flashes, indicating the battery has died. So please be wary when spending so much on a toothbrush, as the battery does not do what is advertised. I only bought this toothbrush in April 2022!
Review written October 2022.
Went from manual brushing to this beauty. Takes a little time to get used to it but my teeth are cleaner, which is a key reason for having it.
It strongly advocates a two minute brush. Broken down into 30 second segments by pausing very briefly a couple of times.
Between learning to apply just the right amount of pressure and moving slowly so that the 30 second increments are half way through top and again bottom it takes time to find the correct rhythm.
Easy to clean, I rinse it off after each use and so far after over a month no build up of dried toothpaste and other nasties.
Battery charging base is nice. It will last me five days on a full charge brushing twice a day.
Brush heads last well. Not the cheapest things but fillings aren’t cheap (I’m told) so it is the lesser of evils.
I’m converted. Fantastic product. Did I need the highest model in the range, possibly not but no regrets.
Purchased as “open box” for 144 This arrived in Box sealed as new No damage to packaging no damage or marks to tooth brush. The Box was Factory sealed as was every item in the box Nothing had been opened or used or even looked at 100 saved on the new one listed on amazon
I am in favour of the open box I have purchased iPhone 13 Pro 799 not 1300 was Brand new sealed and with AppleCare warranty Apple iPhone 13 genuine case 8 not 49 again brand new sealed box
This Oral-B i09 was a fantastic bargai
My review will not list the product details, and features listed in the product description, but will cover the more practical aspect of the product usage.
I have used the Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean for many years and preferred it to Oral-B when I first tried both out. The feeling of the brushing strokes in my mouth preferred the technology used by Sonicare, which was softer on the teeth. However, every time the warranty runs out after two years, it gets broken. So after 3 expensive toothbrushes – I decided to make the leap and try out Oral-B.
I was hesitant because my daughter has one and I really don’t like the way the brushes move on my teeth. However, I found out that the IO range uses technology that makes the brush strokes similar to the Sonicare with the advantage of Oral-B’s technology.
The toothbrush is designed very well and the part the holds the head is definitely more robust than the Philips one (which is the part that keeps in getting broken). I really like the various features and functionality it offers. Downloading the app and connecting to it was really simple and easy. The feature I love is the pressure feature which lets you know whether you are pressing down too hard or not.
I deducted one star because the toothpaste when brushing seems to trickle down to the main toothbrush (which didn’t happen with the Philips one) – perhaps it is because the brush head stem is thicker so it catches it. So even when I wipe it with a towel after I brush, it marks the charging unit and ends up with dried toothpaste all over it.
The charging unit itself could be better designed. The toothbrush could be knocked off easily as it is held by magnetic force. I have put it towards the back of the shelf and so far the toothbrush has stayed upright (it is a pretty strong magnetic connection).
I also deducted in star because of the charging travel case. As a regular traveller for business, it makes a difference when you can pack lightly and less bulky items and less is best. The charging case needs a proprietary plug/cable to go along with it instead of a universal connector like USB or USB-c. I am not sure why Oral-B did not use this.
Overall, I am happy with the product and getting used to to it. I sometimes miss the Philips Sonicare but didn’t want to spend a vast amount of money knowing that I may need to replace it again after two years. Only time will tell whether this Oral-B will endure the usage and last beyond 2 years.
If you want a toothbrush to show off your wealth and frivolity, this is great. I do actually love the guidance feature but it can be pretty annoying when you just want to get ready and you then need to find and fetch your phone and keep it near. Also, the brush doesn’t actually always have the right area, and being the person I am I end up over brushing just so it can log me at 100% even though I could see it thought I was on the wrong side. It’s also very messy – it’s so intense the spray goes absolutely everywhere so be prepared to clean your mirror everyday.
It’s very expensive- even on offer- but it is definitely the best toothbrush I have ever owned. My teeth feel as clean as when I leave the hygienist only far less painful! You’ll be hard pushed to get a brush that cleans better. However, I would probably have saved my money and got the io7 or 8 as I don’t use the 3D cleaning function in the app as much as I thought I would.
Having read reviews before purchasing, I expected to be forever charging it up, but I have found the charge lasts as long as every other electric toothbrush I ever owned ( this is my fifth). It is comfortable to hold and even though I always use the intende mode I have never had any discomfort or adverse sensation in the mouth. The little face on the brush smiling at me after two minutes of brushing never fails to put a smile on my face; silly, right? The results are superb too. The advertisement that describes the feeling as a trip to the dentist is right on the money. It is expensive and you only get one head in the box, but as long as it lasts a decent time (more than 2 years seems to be good for this type of appliance) and the heads last for up to six months (I can’t remember where I read that) I is a worthwhile investment. I was having to visit the hygienist every 3 months before lockdown. That is an easily comparable cost. This toothbrush copes easily with my problem crowded teeth. I highly recommend it.
I’ve used oral-b electric toothbrushes for a long time now and my last one was well overdue for replacement. I started looking at the newer models and, for the difference in price, I decided to go for the io9. Noticeably better cleaning and leaves your mouth so fresh and clean; feels like you’ve just been to the hygienist! Definitely recommend
I had to have most of my teeth capped ten years ago and therefore have a lot invested in my mouth. I also love a gadget, so the run-of-the-mill Oral B toothbrush was never going to be the right choice for me.
I have only had this toothbrush a couple of weeks and am as thrilled about an oral hygiene product as I am ever going to be. I used to own a Philips Sonicare and when that passed across into the place where electronics-go-to-die-because-of-a-design-flaw-that-doesn’t-manifest-for-a-couple-of-years I bought a cheap ($30) alternative that I mistakenly thought would do just as good a job.
I still thought that when I got the Oral B iO9. Although the app on the phone is gimmicky, it does actually do a surprisingly good job of making sure you clean your teeth properly. The pressure warning is also a good feature, as it turns out I used not to apply enough pressure when cleaning my teeth.
After a couple of weeks’ use, there is a very clear and obvious difference in how my teeth look. They look clean. Added to which, with so many capped teeth in my mouth I have had gum problems for ages and whatever magic this brush delivers, either via the round rather than the slightly oblong head of the Philips Sonicare and its cheap knock-offs, the technology, the pressure sensitivity, or the modes, my gums are getting noticeably healthier and gingivitis is subsiding without me using any specific treatment for it other than this brush.
It may be a little pricey for many, and the significantly cheaper Pro 2 2500 is probably the way to go for many people, but I have to say I am not regretting splashing the cash on this little beauty. I doubt I will stray away from Oral B from now on.
Excellent product big jump in cleaning from previous 9000 model which is nearing its end of life. Battery life not so good when using intensive cleaning but apart from that great all rounder but expensive initial outlay. Would recommend waiting for sale before buying.
I was impressed by this toothbrush when I was looking it over prior to use. I believed the price was very excessive. However, when I downloaded the APP and tested the toothbrush, I was so impressed with it that I changed my mind and I would now say that it is worth the money.
We only get one set of adult teeth and the way this toothbrush and APP combine to help you properly brush your teeth, I was blown away. It shows you a sort of 3D display of your teeth which is very intuitive. I don’t know how, but it knows which teeth you are cleaning and tells you when those teeth have been sufficiently cleaned. The APP and colour display on the toothbrush tell you when you are applying too little, or too much pressure. Finally, you get a read-out of how the session went. This may seem like a bit much for cleaning your teeth, but I would again say…only one adult set. My teeth are worth it. Are yours?
I made an unboxing semi-technical video if you want to watch that. It shows everything before I downloaded the APP and used the toothbrush and gives you a good idea of what you are buying. You can charge the handle in the travel case once the travel case is plugged into a wall socket, or you can use the magnetic stand.
The negatives are the lack of a UK plug, or adapter and the fact you get no spare heads. It’s nice to get a couple of spares. The magnetic charger stand is quite weak and the handle could easily be toppled and be damaged if not very careful. The negatives combined are the reason I too a star away. Still a fantastic product and I would very highly recommend it if you can afford it. I hope this was helpful to some.
